This paper reports on the results of experimental investigations into the threshold power of the onset of nonlinearity of
magnetoacoustic vibrations in planar structures (such as a ferrite film-dielectric substrate structure) in the range of phase
matching of the higher bulk magnetostatic and acoustic modes. Under the experimental conditions, the wavelength of the higher
bulk magnetostatic modes is of the order of 1 μm and shorter. On this basis, the energy of these vibrations with respect to
the origin of the magnetostatic wave spectrum is determined by the energy of the inhomogeneous exchange interaction. The standing
magnetoacoustic waves are examined in conventional yttrium iron garnet films with free surface spins in which, under standard
conditions, only dipole magnetostatic vibrations are excited in planar resonators. Consideration is given to the threshold
power of the onset of precession instability of the dipole exchange acoustic modes which, as was shown earlier by the authors,
are excited in the range of the phase matching of the exchange and acoustic modes. A comparative analysis is performed for
the threshold powers of dipole magnetostatic, exchange acoustic, and dipole exchange acoustic modes. It is demonstrated that
the threshold power of the instability of magnetostatic modes decreases significantly when the natural frequencies of the
dipole modes coincide with those of the exchange acoustic modes.

Wideband chaotic microwave oscillation in a ring self-oscillatory system is studied. The system includes a solid-state power amplifier and a wideband nonlinear transmission line with a ferromagnetic film in which magnetostatic waves of different types are excited. It is found that the eigenmodes of the self-oscillatory system excited in the passband of the transmission line on magnetostatic waves become noisy because of spin wave parametric excitation due to the magnetostatic wave and nonlinearity of the power amplifier. A continuous spectrum of modes observed in the wideband chaotic signal is associated with the presence of a descending portion in the dynamic characteristic of the nonlinear transmission line, which arises when a magnetostatic surface wave is excited. 相似文献

Bragg interaction of surface magnetostatic waves with a periodic granular high-temperature superconducting structure is studied. A dispersion equation for coupled waves describing the characteristics of surface magnetostatic waves is derived. Resonance wave absorption near the critical temperature is revealed. The magnetostatic wave reflection coefficients of semi-infinite and finite periodic high-temperature superconducting structures are calculated. The results obtained can be used in designing tunable frequency selectors and transient bolometric photodetectors. 相似文献

Summary The Hamiltonian for an electron travelling through a large-amplitude backward electromagnetic wave, an axial guide magnetic
field and radiation field is formulated. Poincaré surface-of-section plots show that this Hamiltonian is non-integrable, and
leads to chaotic trajectories. Equilibrium conditions are derived in the limit where the radiation field approaches zero.
Compared to conventional FEL, the total energy of the system at pondermotive resonanceE
c is large, while the electron's critical energy γc is low for electromagnetic wiggler FEL. Moreover, the threshold wave amplitude (A
r=A
c) of beam chaoticity is found at lower values of the radiation field amplitude compared to magnetostatic wiggler FEL. Previous
features confirmed that electromagnetic wiggler FEL can operate more coherently and more efficiently at moderated particle's

The paper studies the interaction of magnetic dipole moments with magnetoplasma (in semiconductors) and magnetostatic (in ferromagnets) surface waves. Expressions for energy losses of such dipoles by wave excitation are obtained; experimental realizability of mobile dipole moments are discussed; and estimates are presented. A theoretical study is made of the trajectories and of the changes in magnitude and direction of the wave vectors of magnetostatic
backward surface waves with different frequencies propagating in ferrite-insulator-metal structures with different insulating
layer thicknesses and magnetized by a linearly nonuniform static field. It is shown that both forward and backward magnetostatic
surface waves (MSSWs) propagate in a waveguide channel, on one side of which MSSWs undergo mirror reflection and on the other
side of which their propagation direction is rotated, independently of the thickness of the insulator in the structure. It
is shown that when MSSWs propagate in a nonuniform field, the forward wave is converted into a backward wave and, under certain
conditions, the backward wave is converted into a forward wave. Some features of the propagation characteristics of magnetostatic
backward surface waves are determined.

The features of spin wave emission from a ferromagnetic film in the direction of the propagation of a surface magnetostatic wave have been experimentally investigated at various input signal powers. Radiation in the form of two noise-like spin wave packets has been detected near the frequency corresponding to half the pump frequency. The spectral properties of magnetostatic waves in a ferromagnet with a moving periodic domain structure are considered within the exchange-free magnetostatic approximation. It is demonstrated that the Doppler frequency shift caused by the domain-wall motion leads to the splitting of the spectrum of each magnetostatic wave mode into two dispersion branches, namely, into high-frequency and low-frequency branches. A solution is obtained for the general problem of the nonstationary interaction of backward volume magnetostatic waves in
films of yttrium-iron garnet with local parametric pumping. In the case of a large pump region, l≫λ, where λ is the wavelength of the backward volume magnetostatic waves, the problem reduces to a system of truncated equations for
two packets of counter propagating waves. In the opposite case, l<λ, the exact problem of parametric interactions of the eigenmodes of a ferrite film (both counterpropagating and in the same
direction) is solved numerically. Both cases are studied experimentally and good qualitative and quantitative agreement is
obtained with the theory. For the first time, the reversal of a wave front and the time reversal of the shape of backward
volume magnetostatic wave pulses are observed and a change in the propagation time for the peak of the signal pulse and a
reduction in its width owing to pumping are recorded. Two operating regimes are identified for a nonstationary parametric
backward volume magnetostatic wave amplifier with local pumping, which differ in the ratio of the duration of the pump pulse
to the transit time for the wave through the local pump region, and the effect of the parametric excitation of two-dimensional
spin waves on the interaction of backward volume magnetostatic waves with a local nonstationary parametric pump is determined.

We address the spin wave modes propagating in Fibonacci, Thue–Morse, and double period quasiperiodic magnonic superlattices. These structures are made of layers of a metamagnetic material alternating with layers of a nonmagnetic material, presenting mirror symmetry. Our calculations are carried out in the magnetostatic regime for the antiferromagnetic phase. Our model takes into account the presence of an external applied magnetic field, which is perpendicular to the interfaces of the superlattice, as well as the crystalline anisotropic contribution to the inner magnetic field. The magnetostatic bulk and surface modes are obtained by using the transfer matrix technique. The metamagnetic material considered here is FeBr2, however, our results can be extended to other materials. Our numerical results show the behavior of these modes, for small frequencies of the energy spectra. The results reported here can be experimentally observed by light scattering techniques. 相似文献

This paper describes an experimental study of variations of the dispersion and damping of magnetostatic surface waves in ferrite
films, caused by three-and four-magnon interactions with parametric spin waves excited by an auxiliary surface magnetostatic
pump wave with frequency f
p. The variations in the dispersion and damping were identified, respectively, with variations Δk″ in the real part and Δk′ in the imaginary part of the wave number of the surface magnetostatic wave. The Δk″ and Δk′ values were determined from the ratio of the changes of the phase increment Δφ and the amplitude increment ΔA of the surface magnetostatic wave to the length L of the nonequilibrium section of the film, where the parametric spin waves exist. It is found that, when three-magnon decay
processes are allowed for the pump wave and the surface magnetostatic probe wave, the probe wave can substantially alter the
distribution of the parametric spin waves in the film.

for surface MSWs; when crossing this direction, the field configuration for MSWs with small wavenumbers changes sharply. It

in the form of a grating of etched parallel strips (one-dimensional magnon crystal) has been investigated. The dispersion
characteristics of surface magnetostatic waves have been calculated using the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin method. The intrinsic
error of the method has been estimated, and the magnon spectrum of the surface magnetostatic wave has been studied. An analysis

Those atoms or molecules which happen to have positive Stark or Zeeman energy shift (by virtue of their particular internal quantum state) are repelled by regions of high electrostatic or magnetostatic energy density, respectively.
