Let G be a finite group and a formation of finite groups. We say that a subgroup H of G is -supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup T of G such that G = TH and is contained in the -hypercenter of G/H G . In this paper, we use -supplemented subgroups to study the structure of finite groups. A series of previously known results are unified and generalized. We compute formal invariants associated with the cohomology sheaves of the direct image of holonomic -modules of exponential type. We also prove that every formal -modules is isomorphic, after a ramification, to a germ of formalized direct image of analytic -module of exponential type.  相似文献

We consider solutions of affine stochastic functional differential equations on . The drift of these equations is specified by a functional defined on a general function space which is only described axiomatically. The solutions are reformulated as stochastic processes in the space . By representing such a process in the bidual space of we establish that the transition functions of this process form a generalized Gaussian Mehler semigroup on . This way the process is characterized completely on since it is Markovian. Moreover we derive a sufficient and necessary condition on the underlying space such that the transition functions are even an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup. We exploit this result to associate a Cauchy problem in the function space to the stochastic functional differential equation.   相似文献

We study permanence properties of the classes of stable and so-called -stable -algebras, respectively. More precisely, we show that a (X)-algebra A is stable if all its fibres are, provided that the underlying compact metrizable space X has finite covering dimension or that the Cuntz semigroup of A is almost unperforated (a condition which is automatically satisfied for -algebras absorbing the Jiang–Su algebra tensorially). Furthermore, we prove that if is a K 1-injective strongly self-absorbing -algebra, then A absorbs tensorially if and only if all its fibres do, again provided that X is finite-dimensional. This latter statement generalizes results of Blanchard and Kirchberg. We also show that the condition on the dimension of X cannot be dropped. Along the way, we obtain a useful characterization of when a -algebra with weakly unperforated Cuntz semigroup is stable, which allows us to show that stability passes to extensions of -absorbing -algebras. Let G be a connected graph. For at distance 2, we define , and , if then . G is quasi-claw-free if it satisfies , and G is P 3-dominated() if it satisfies , for every pair (x, y) of vertices at distance 2. Certainly contains as a subclass. In this paper, we prove that the circumference of a 2-connected P 3-dominated graph G on n vertices is at least min or , moreover if then G is hamiltonian or , where is a class of 2-connected nonhamiltonian graphs.  相似文献

If is any ring or semi-ring (e.g., ) and G is a finite abelian group, two elements a, b of the group (semi-)ring are said to form a factorization of G if ab = rΣ gG g for some . A factorization is called quasiperiodic if there is some element gG of order m > 1 such that either a or b – say b – can be written as a sum b 0 + ... + b m−1 of m elements of such that ab h = g h ab 0 for h = 0, ... , m − 1. Hajós [5] conjectured that all factorizations are quasiperiodic when and r = 1 but Sands [15] found a counterexample for the group . Here we show however that all factorizations of abelian groups are quasiperiodic when and that all factorizations of cyclic groups or of groups of the type are quasiperiodic when . We also give some new examples of non-quasiperiodic factorizations with for the smaller groups and . Received: May 12, 2006. Revised: October 3, 2007.  相似文献

We construct a family of completely regular semigroups with the property that each completely regular semigroup S with a finite number of -classes in each -class is non-cryptic if and only if S contains an isomorphic image of a member of . Each member F of is an ideal extension of a Rees matrix semigroup J by a cyclic group B with a zero adjoined and the identity of B is the identity of F. Here with I and Λ finite, G is given by generators and relations, and P is given explicitly. Within completely regular semigroups, the cryptic property is equivalent to where is the natural partial order and a if and only if a 2 = ab = ba. Hence the above result can be formulated in terms of and .   相似文献

It is known that in the moduli space of elliptic curves, there exist precisely nine -rational points represented by an elliptic curve with complex multiplication by the maximal order of an imaginary quadratic field. In Murabayashi and Umegaki (J Algebra 235:267–274, 2001) and Umegaki [Determination of all -rational CM-points in the moduli spaces of polarized abelian surfaces, Analytic number theory (Beijng/Kyoto, 1999). Dev. Math., vol 6. Kluwer, Dordrecht, pp 349–357, 2002] we determined all -rational points in (the moduli space of d-polarized abelian surfaces) represented by a d-polarized abelian surface whose endomorphism ring is isomorphic to the maximal order of a quartic CM-field by using the result in Murabayashi (J Reine Angew Math 470:1–26, 1996). In this paper, we prove that polarized abelian surfaces corresponding to these -rational CM points have a -rational model by constructing certain Hecke characters.  相似文献

A circular distribution is a Galois equivariant map ψ from the roots of unity μ to an algebraic closure of such that ψ satisfies product conditions, for ϵμ and , and congruence conditions for each prime number l and with (l, s) = 1, modulo primes over l for all , where μ l and μ s denote respectively the sets of lth and sth roots of unity. We prove some new a priori estimates for H 2-convex functions which are zero on the boundary of a bounded smooth domain Ω in a Carnot group . Such estimates are global and are geometric in nature as they involve the horizontal mean curvature of ∂Ω. As a consequence of our bounds we show that if has step two, then for any smooth H 2-convex function in vanishing on ∂Ω one has

In this paper, we introduce the notion of -decomposability of probability density functions in one dimension. Using -decomposability, we derive an inequality that applies to all symmetric unimodal densities. Our inequality involves only the standard deviation of the densities concerned. The concept of -decomposability can be used as a non-parametric criterion for mode-finding and cluster analysis.  相似文献

We consider a system of the form , in an open domain of , with Dirichlet conditions at the boundary (if any). We suppose that f and g are power-type non-linearities, having superlinear and subcritical growth at infinity. We prove the existence of positive solutions and which concentrate, as , at a prescribed finite number of local minimum points of V(x), possibly degenerate.  相似文献

Let be a strictly pseudoconvex bounded domain in with C 2 boundary . If a subnormal m-tuple T of Hilbert space operators has the spectral measure of its minimal normal extension N supported on , then T is referred to as a -isometry. Using some non-trivial approximation theorems in the theory of several complex variables, we establish a commutant lifting theorem for those -isometries whose (joint) Taylor spectra are contained in a special superdomain Ω of . Further, we provide a function-theoretic characterization of those subnormal tuples whose Taylor spectra are contained in Ω and that are quasisimilar to a certain (fixed) -isometry T (of which the multiplication tuple on the Hardy space of the unit ball in is a rather special example). In this article we extend Milnor’s fibration theorem to the case of functions of the form with f, g holomorphic, defined on a complex analytic (possibly singular) germ (X, 0). We further refine this fibration theorem by looking not only at the link of , but also at its multi-link structure, which is more subtle. We mostly focus on the case when X has complex dimension two. Our main result (Theorem 4.4) gives in this case the equivalence of the following three statements:
(i)  The real analytic germ has 0 as an isolated critical value;
(ii)  the multilink is fibered; and
(iii)  if is a resolution of the holomorphic germ , then for each rupture vertex (j) of the decorated dual graph of π one has that the corresponding multiplicities of f, g satisfy: .
Moreover one has that if these conditions hold, then the Milnor-Lê fibration of is a fibration of the multilink . We also give a combinatorial criterium to decide whether or not the multilink is fibered. If the meromorphic germ f/g is semitame, then we show that the Milnor-Lê fibration given by is equivalent to the usual Milnor fibration given by . New variational principles based on the concept of anti-selfdual (ASD) Lagrangians were recently introduced in “AIHP-Analyse non linéaire, 2006”. We continue here the program of using such Lagrangians to provide variational formulations and resolutions to various basic equations and evolutions which do not normally fit in the Euler-Lagrange framework. In particular, we consider stationary boundary value problems of the form as well ass dissipative initial value evolutions of the form where is a convex potential on an infinite dimensional space, A is a linear operator and is any scalar. The framework developed in the above mentioned paper reformulates these problems as and respectively, where is an “ASD” vector field derived from a suitable Lagrangian L. In this paper, we extend the domain of application of this approach by establishing existence and regularity results under much less restrictive boundedness conditions on the anti-selfdual Lagrangian L so as to cover equations involving unbounded operators. Our main applications deal with various nonlinear boundary value problems and parabolic initial value equations governed by transport operators with or without a diffusion term. A complete classification of the computational complexity of the fixed-point existence problem for Boolean dynamical systems, i.e., finite discrete dynamical systems over the domain {0, 1}, is presented. For function classes and graph classes , an ()-system is a Boolean dynamical system such that all local transition functions lie in and the underlying graph lies in . Let be a class of Boolean functions which is closed under composition and let be a class of graphs which is closed under taking minors. The following dichotomy theorems are shown: (1) If contains the self-dual functions and contains the planar graphs, then the fixed-point existence problem for ()-systems with local transition function given by truth-tables is NP-complete; otherwise, it is decidable in polynomial time. (2) If contains the self-dual functions and contains the graphs having vertex covers of size one, then the fixed-point existence problem for ()-systems with local transition function given by formulas or circuits is NP-complete; otherwise, it is decidable in polynomial time.   相似文献
