Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and solid-phase extraction (SPE) procedures were coupling with microwave-assisted micellar extraction for organochlorine pesticides residues determination in seaweed samples. They were optimized, compared and discussed.Preliminary experiments were performed in order to study experimental conditions for the extraction of pesticides from spiked seaweed samples with microwave-assisted micellar extraction (MAME) using a non-ionic surfactant (Polyoxyethylene 10 Lauryl Ether). After that, SPME and SPE were used to clean-up and preconcentrate MAME extract prior the analysis by liquid chromatography with photodiode array (PDA) detection.Excellent results were obtained for both procedures. Average pesticide recoveries between 80.5 and 104.3% for MAME-SPME and between 73.9 and 111.5% for MAME-SPE were obtained. Relative standard deviations (RSDs) were lower than 10.3% and 5.3% respectively for all recoveries tested, and LOD between 138–348 ng g− 1 for MAME-SPME and 2–38 ng g− 1 for MAME-SPE were obtained. The method was validated using Soxhlet extraction procedure. Both methods were applied to analyse target organochlorine pesticides in several seaweed samples and results were compared. These results show the great possibilities of combining MAME-SPE-HPLC-UV for the analysis of seaweed samples, improving the selectivity and sensitivity in the determination of organochlorine pesticides analysis for this kind of samples.  相似文献

In this work, a C18 composite solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber was prepared with a new method and applied to the analysis of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in water sample. A stainless steel wire (o.d. 127 μm) was used as the substrate, and a mixture of the C18 particle (3.5 μm) and the 184 silicone was used as the coating material. During the process of fiber preparation, a section of capillary column was used to fix the mixture onto the stainless steel wire and to ensure the constant of coating thickness. The prepared fiber showed excellent thermal stability and solvent resistance. By coupling with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS), the fiber exhibited wide linearity (2–500 ng L−1) and good sensitivity for the determination of six OCPs in water samples, the OCPs tested included hexachlorobezene, trans-chlordane, cis-chlordane, o,p-DDT, p,p-DDT and mirex. Not only the extraction performance of the newly prepared fiber was more than seven times higher than those of commercial fibers, the limits of detections (LODs) (0.059–0.151 ng L−1) for OCPs achieved under optimized conditions were also lower than those of reported SPME methods. The fiber was successfully applied to the determination of OCPs in real water samples by using developed SPME–GC–MS method.  相似文献

Microwave assisted micellar extraction (MAME) coupled with solid phase microextraction (SPME) and HPLC-UV determination have been used for the determination of five organochlorine pesticides from agricultural soil samples. A non-ionic surfactant, Polyoxyethlylene 10 Lauryl Ether was used, and the different variables for the optimization of MAME and SPME procedures were studied. This method was applied successfully to the determination of these pesticides in several kinds of agricultural soil samples with different characteristics. Most of the compounds studied can be recovered in good yields with R.S.D. lower than 9% and detection limit ranged between 56-96 ng g−1 for the pesticides studied.  相似文献

A solid-phase microextraction (SPME) procedure using two commercial fibers coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is presented for the extraction and determination of organochlorine pesticides in water samples. We have evaluated the extraction efficiency of this kind of compound using two different fibers: 60-μm polydimethylsiloxane–divinylbenzene (PDMS-DVB) and Carbowax/TPR-100 (CW/TPR). Parameters involved in the extraction and desorption procedures (e.g. extraction time, ionic strength, extraction temperature, desorption and soaking time) were studied and optimized to achieve the maximum efficiency. Results indicate that both PDMS-DVB and CW/TPR fibers are suitable for the extraction of this type of compound, and a simple calibration curve method based on simple aqueous standards can be used. All the correlation coefficients were better than 0.9950, and the RSDs ranged from 7% to 13% for 60-μm PDMS-DVB fiber and from 3% to 10% for CW/TPR fiber. Optimized procedures were applied to the determination of a mixture of six organochlorine pesticides in environmental liquid samples (sea, sewage and ground waters), employing HPLC with UV-diode array detector.  相似文献

A rapid technique based on dynamic microwave-assisted extraction coupled with on-line solid-phase extraction of high-performance liquid chromatography (DMAE-SPE-HPLC) has been developed. A TM010 microwave resonance cavity built in the laboratory was applied to concentrate the microwave energy. The sample placed in the zone of microwave irradiation was extracted with 95% acetonitrile (ACN) aqueous solution which was driven by a peristaltic pump at a flow rate of 1.0 mL min−1. The extraction can be completed in a recirculating system in 10 min. When a number of extraction cycles were completed, the extract (1 mL) was diluted on-line with water. Then the extract was loaded into an SPE column where the analytes were retained while the unretained matrix components were washed away. Subsequently, the analytes were automatically transferred from the SPE column to the analytical column and determined by UV detector at 238 nm. The technique was used for determination of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in grains, including wheat, rice, corn and bean. The limits of detection of OCPs are in the range of 19-37 ng g−1. The recoveries obtained by analyzing the four spiked grain samples are in the range of 86-105%, whereas the relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) values are <8.7% ranging from 1.2 to 8.7%. Our method was demonstrated to be fast, accurate, and precise. In addition, only small quantities of solvent and sample were required.  相似文献

A novel method of determining organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) is described. It is based on solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and gas chromatography–electron capture detection. During the development of the method, soil samples were prepared, spiked with standard solution, and then aged for some time. Extraction conditions such as the extraction time, the NaCl content, the volume of water, the extraction temperature and the desorption time were investigated and optimized. The limits of detection obtained using the method ranged from 0.10 to 0.51 ng g−1, and relative standard deviations were lower than 10% for most organochlorine pesticides. Real soil samples were successfully analyzed using the proposed method. The results from the method developed here were in good agreement with those obtained using ultrasonic extraction. The result demonstrates that aging soils spiked with standard solution is an important method development step, because the soil samples obtained using this approach are more like real soils than those obtained when aging is not used.   相似文献

Summary A study of different extraction techniques for the determination of a selected group of organochlorine compounds in surface waters is presented. Comparison of liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) with solid-phase extraction (SPE) and solid-phase microextraction (SPME) with fibers of different polarity shows that SPME with a recently commercialised fiber of polydimethylsiloxane divinylbenzene allows these compounds to be determined in surface waters with good extraction efficiencies. Extraction time, effect of temperature, ionic strength and pH were optimised, allowing quantification in agricultural effluents in the range 1.0–60 ng·L−1.  相似文献

A direct immersion solid-phase microextraction coupled with gas chromatography-electron capture detection (SPME-GC-ECD) method was optimized and validated for the quantitative determination of 18 organochlorine pesticides in ground water. Ionic strength, stirring speed, adsorption and desorption time and pH were some of the parameters investigated in order to select the optimum conditions for SPME with a 50/30 DVB/CAR/PDMS fiber coating. The SPME-GC/ECD method showed good linear response below 10 ng L−1 with R2 values in the range of 0.9950–0.9997. The repeatability of the measurements were lower than 10%. Values of relative recoveries located within the acceptable range (80–120%). Limits of quantification (LOQ) from 4.5 × 10−3 to 1.5 ng L−1 were obtained. On average 8 organochlorines were found per sample, even so all the 18 organochlorines were quantified among them. Substances such as endrin ketone, γ-BHC and β-BHC were the pesticides determined in larger concentration (0.06–305 ng L−1), while methoxychlor and aldrin in smaller amounts (0.151–1.55 ng L−1). Measured levels of organochlorine pesticides were above the limits established by Brazilian regulations.  相似文献

A method to determine organochlorine pesticides in horticultural samples (lettuce, tomato, spinach, potato, turnip leaf and green bean) using pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) is described and compared with microwave assisted extraction (MAE). Significant parameters affecting PLE procedure such as temperature, static extraction time and extraction solvent were optimised and discussed. Clean-up of extracts was performed by solid phase extraction (SPE) using a carbon cartridge as adsorbent. Pesticides were determined by gas chromatography and electron capture detection (GC-ECD). Analytical recoveries obtained were ca. 100% and the relative standard deviations were lower than 15% for most of the studied pesticides with the proposed methods in each analysed matrix.  相似文献

This paper describes the extraction of 20 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) from water samples using solid-phase microextraction (SPME). Three fused-silica fibers coated or bonded with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) of different film thicknesses (20-, 30-, and 100-μm) were evaluated. The extraction time, the effects of stirring and addition of NaCl to the aqueous sample, the linear range and the precision of this technique, and the effect of carryover were examined for 20 analytes and are presented here. A comparison with results using conventional liquid-liquid extraction demonstrate that the SPME technique is well suited as a fast screening technique for OCPs in water samples.  相似文献

This work describes the utilization of the focused microwave-assisted micellar extraction in combination with the solid-phase microextraction (SPME) to determine chlorophenols in wood samples. The influence of the nature of the surfactant in the extraction process, the optimization of the variables of the focused-microwave system, and the effect of the ageing time of the samples in the extraction efficiency of the method, have been assessed in this study. The overall method using the non-ionic surfactant POLE as extracting medium allows us to determine chlorophenols in wood samples achieving an average extraction efficiency of 104.1%, limits of detection ranging from 2 to 120 ng g−1, and intermediate precision values ranging between 3.5 and 13.2%. The proposed method is also characterized by short analysis times (around 5 min for the microwaves extraction step) and by avoiding the use of organic solvents.  相似文献

A solid-phase microextraction technique using steel fiber coated with 20 μm polypyrrole (Ppy) doped with polyphosphate was developed for the GC determination of a group of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in water. The coating was prepared using a three-electrode electrochemical system from a 10% aqueous sodium polyphosphate solution containing 0.05 M pyrrole by applying a constant potential of 1.2 V for 30 min. In order to obtain an adherent, smooth and stable film of polypyrrole, experimental parameters related to the coating process consisting of the type of dopant or counter-ion, deposition potential, concentration of the monomer, concentration of the counter-ion, and deposition time were optimized. The effects of various parameters on the efficiency of SPME process such as extraction time, extraction temperature, ionic strength, desorption time, and desorption temperature were also studied. The coating was highly stable and extremely adherent to the surface of the steel fiber. The method was linear for at least three orders of magnitude with correlation coefficients varying from 0.9818 to 0.9977. The accuracies found through spiking blank samples showed high recoveries between 82 and 110%. Intra- and inter-day precisions of the method were determined from mixed aqueous solutions containing 1.0 ng ml−1 of each OCP. The intra-day precisions varied from 4.7% for heptachlor to 11.4% for methoxychlor, while the inter-day precisions varied from 6.8% for endosulfan I to 13.0% for p,p′-DDD and o,p-DDD. Limits of detection based on S/N = 3 were in the range 0.015-0.66 pg ml−1. The proposed method was applied to monitor organochlorine pesticides in some well water samples.  相似文献

Summary The use of the solid-phase extraction technique for the rapid sample preparation of organochlorine pesticides is described. Samples were simultaneously extracted, cleaned, and fractionated by the solid-phase extraction method and a further separation and determination of extracted fractions was carried out by gas chromatography with either an electron capture or a Hall electrolytic conductivity detector. The percent recovery of the extracted seven pesticides was compared to that of the conventional liquid-liquid extraction method. The analytical figures of merit., chromatograms, and statistic data are reported. The application of this method was demonstrated by a real fish sample determination with mass spectra for confirmation of Kepone detection.  相似文献

A coupled technique, microwave-assisted headspace solid-phase microextraction (MA-HS-SPME), was investigated for one-step in situ sample pretreatment for organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) prior to gas chromatographic determination. The OCPs, aldrin, o,p'-DDE, p,p'-DDE, o,p'-DDT, p,p'-DDT, dieldrin, alpha-endosulfan, beta-endosulfan, endosulfan sulfate, endrin, delta-HCH, gamma-HCH, heptachlor, heptachlor epoxide, methoxychlor and trifluralin were collected by the proposed method and analyzed by gas chromatography with electron-capture detection (GC-ECD). To perform the MA-HS-SPME, six types of SPME fibers were examined and compared. The parameters affecting the efficiency in MA-HS-SPME process such as sampling time and temperature, microwave irradiation power, desorption temperature and time were studied to obtain the optimal conditions. The method was developed using spiked water samples such as field water and with 0.05% humic acid in a concentration range of 0.05-2.5 microg/l except endosulfan sulfate in 0.25-2.5 microg/l. The detection was linear over the studied concentration range with r2>0.9978. The detection limits varied from 0.002 to 0.070 microg/l based on S/N=3 and the relative standard deviations for repeatability were <15%. A certified reference sample of OCPs in aqueous solution was analyzed by the proposed method and compared with the conventional liquid-liquid extraction procedure. These results are in good agreement. The results indicate that the proposed method provides a very simple, fast, and solvent-free procedure to achieve sample pretreatment prior to the trace-level screening determination of organochloride pesticides by gas chromatography.  相似文献

A method for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in marine sediments using microwave-assisted extraction with a micellar medium combined with solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) has been developed. Two kinds of SPME fibers (100 μm polydimethylsiloxane and 85 μm polyacrylate) and different micellar media were compared for the extraction efficiency of the 16 EPA priority PAHs. The polyacrylate fiber with a micellar medium of polyoxyethylene-10-laurylether provides the highest extraction efficiency. The method is remarkable for presenting lower equilibrium times and considerably higher reproducibilities than the obtained in aqueous medium. The LODs obtained ranged between 0.28 ng/ml for fluorene and 7.66 ng/ml for indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene. The method has been applied to the determination of PAHs in a certified marine sediment (SRM 1941a), obtaining recoveries between 58.6 and 111.5% for three- to five-ring PAHs with precision close to or lower than the certified values.  相似文献

This paper describes the extraction of 49 organophosphorus pesti-cides (OPPs) from water samples using solid-phase microextraction (SPME). Three fibers, including a 15-μm XAD-coated fiber, a 85-μm polyacrylate-coated fiber, and a 30-μm polydimethylsilox-ane-coated fiber (PDMS), were evaluated here. The effects of stirring and the addition of NaCl to the sample were examined for the polyacrylate-coated fiber. The precision of the technique was examined for all three fibers and the extraction kinetics were investigated using the XAD- and polyacrylate-coated fibers. With some exceptions, the XAD- and polyacrylate-coated fibers performed better than the PDMS-coated fiber. The superiority of the XAD-nd polyacrylate-coated fiber. The superiority of the XAD- and polyacrylate-coated fibers over the PDMS-coated fibers can be attribuibuted to the aromatic functionalities of the XAD and the polar functionalities in the polyacrylate. The relatively high percent RSDs indicate that the SPME technique needs to be further refined before it can be used for anything other than screening. A more effective form of agitation than mechanical stirring may be neccessary to reduce variability and achieve a faster equilibrium between the sample and the SPME fiber.  相似文献

Pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) is a relatively new technique applicable for the extraction of persistent organic pollutants from various matrices. The main advantages of this method are short time and low consumption of extraction solvent. The effects of various operational parameters (i.e. temperature of extraction, number of static cycles and extraction solvent mixtures) on the PLE efficiency were investigated in this study. Fish muscle tissue containing 3.2% (w/w) lipids and native polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and other related compounds was used for testing. Purification of crude extracts was carried out by gel permeation chromatography employing Bio-Beads S-X3. Identification and quantitation of target indicator PCBs and OCPs was performed by high-resolution gas chromatography (HRGC) with two parallel electron-capture detectors (ECDs). Results obtained by the optimized PLE procedure were compared with conventional Soxhlet extraction (the same extraction solvent mixtures hexane–dichloromethane (1:1 v/v) and hexane–acetone (4:1 v/v) were used). The recoveries obtained by PLE operated at 90–120 °C were either comparable to “classic” Soxhlet extraction (for higher-chlorinated PCB congeners and DDT group) or even better (for lower chlorinated analytes). The highest recoveries were obtained for three static 5 min extraction cycles.  相似文献

A novel laboratory-made sol-gel calix[4]arene/hydroxy-terminated silicone oil coated fiber has been applied for headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) combined with gas chromatography (GC) with electron capture detection (ECD) to determine 12 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and their metabolites in radish sample. The analytes in the study consisted of α-, β-, γ- and δ-hexachlorocyclohexane (BHC), 1,1,1-trichloro-2-(2-chlorophenyl)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)ethane (o,p′-DDT), 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-bis(4-chlorophenyl)ethane (p,p′-DDT), 2,4-dichlorobenzophenone (o,p′-DBP), 4,4-dichlorobenzophenone (p,p′-DBP), 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(4-chlorophenyl)ethylene (p,p′-DDE), bis(4-chlorophenyl)methane (p,p′-DDM), 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(4-chlorophenyl)ethane (p,p′-DDD) and endrin. The following parameters were adjusted to optimize HS-SPME in order to obtain the maximum sensitivity: extraction temperature, extraction time, the addition of salt, desorption temperature and time. Especially, the effect of the complex radish matrix on quantitative extraction of pesticides was discussed in detail. Detection limits of the developed method for radish matrices were below 174 ng/kg for all pesticides. Relative standard deviations for quintuplicate analyses of radish samples fortified each analytes were not higher than 13.1%. The results demonstrate the suitability of the HS-SPME/GC-ECD approach for the analysis of multi-residue OCPs and metabolites in radish.  相似文献

Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the determination of triazine is described. Carbowax/templated resin (CW/TPR, 50 μm), polydimethylsiloxane/divinylbenzene (PDMS/DVB, 60 μm), polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS, 100 μm), and polyacrylate (PA, 85 μm) fibers were evaluated for extraction of the triazines. CW/TPR and PDMS/DVB fibers were selected for further study. Several parameters of the extraction and desorption procedure were studied and optimized (such as types of fibers, desorption mode, desorption time, compositions of solvent for desorption, soaking periods and the flow rate during desorption period, extraction time, temperature, pH, and ionic strength of samples). Both CW/TPR and PDMS/DVB fibers are acceptable; a simple calibration-curve method based on simple aqueous standards can be used. The linearity of this method for analyzing standard solution has been investigated over the range 5-1000 ng mL−1 for both PDMS/DVB and CW/TPR fibers. All the correlation coefficients in the range 5-1000 ng mL−1 were better than 0.995 except Simazine and Atratone by CW/TPR fiber. The R.S.D.s range from 4.4% to 8.8 % (PDMS/DVB fiber) and from 2.4% to 7.2% (CW/TPR fiber). Method-detection limits (MDL) are in the range 1.2-2.6 and 2.8-3.4 ng mL−1 for the two fibers. These methods were applied to the determination of trazines in environmental water samples (lake water).  相似文献
