Some inequalities involving quadratic forms of operator means

Let T and S be two self-adjoint positive invertible operators of a complex Hilbert space H. In this paper, we investigate some inequalities involving the quadratic forms of the weighted arithmetic and harmonic means of T and S. Application for operator entropies is also discussed.     

Discontinuous Sturm-Liouville problems involving an abstract linear operator

In this paper we introduce to consideration a new type boundary value problems consisting of an ``Sturm-Liouville" equation on two disjoint intervals as $$-p(x)y^{\prime \prime }+ q(x)y+\mathfrak{B}y|_{x} = \mu y , x\in [a,c)\cup(c,b]$$ together with two end-point conditions whose coefficients depend linearly on the eigenvalue parameter, and two supplementary so-called transmission conditions, involving linearly left-hand and right-hand values of the solution and its derivatives at point of interaction $x=c,$ where $\mathfrak{B}:L_{2}(a,c)\oplus L_{2}(c,b)\rightarrow L_{2}(a,c)\oplus L_{2}(c,b)$ is an abstract linear operator, non-selfadjoint in general. For self-adjoint realization of the pure differential part of the main problem we define ``alternative" inner products in Sobolev spaces, ``incorporating" with the boundary-transmission conditions. Then by suggesting an own approaches we establish such properties as topological isomorphism and coercive solvability of the corresponding nonhomogeneous problem and prove compactness of the resolvent operator in these Sobolev spaces. Finally, we prove that the spectrum of the considered eigenvalue problem is discrete and derive asymptotic formulas for the eigenvalues. Note that the obtained results are new even in the case when the equation is not involved an abstract linear operator $\mathfrak{B}.$     

Some subclasses of multivalent functions involving a certain linear operator

The authors investigate various inclusion and other properties of several subclasses of the class Ap of normalized p-valent analytic functions in the open unit disk, which are defined here by means of a certain linear operator. Problems involving generalized neighborhoods of analytic functions in the class Ap are investigated. Finally, some applications of fractional calculus operators are considered.

Refinements of the Heinz operator inequalities

In this article, we study the Heinz inequalities for two positive operators. We refine the ordering relations among the Heinz means with different parameters and obtain some improvements of the Heinz operator inequalities.     

Starlikeness and subordination properties of a linear operator

In this paper, we introduce a new class of p-valent analytic functions defined by using a linear operator L_k^α. For functions in this class H_k^α(p,λh) we estimate the coefficients. Furthermore, some subordination properties related to the operator L_k^α are also derived.     

Harmonic number identities involving telescoping method and derivative operator

In terms of the telescoping method, a new binomial identity is established. By applying the derivative operators, we derive several interesting harmonic number identities.

By using the perturbation theories on sums of ranges for nonlinear accretive mappings of Calvert and Gupta (1978), the abstract result on the existence of a solution u ∈ Lp (Ω) to nonlinear equations involving p-Laplacian operator △p, where 2N/N 1 ＜ p ＜ ∞ and N (≥ 1 )denotes the dimension of RN,is studied. The equation discussed and the methods shown in the paper are continuation and complement to the corresponding results of Li and Zhen's previous papers. To obtain the result ,some new techniques are used.     

Existence of an elliptic system involving Pucci operator

We study the existence of solutions for the nonlinear elliptic system

where Ω is a bounded domain, f₁ is superlinear and f₂ is sublinear at zero and infinity, h₁ and h₂ are perturbation terms. We will show that the system has at least two semi-trivial solutions (u,0), (0,v) and a nontrivial solution (u^*,v^*).     

Complex Stable Sums of Complex Stable Random Variables

A definition of complex stable random variables is presented which includes earlier definitions as special cases. The class of complex stable random variables is characterized and is shown to be a subclass of the operator stable random variables. The exact conditions under which a sum of independent complex stable random variables is again complex stable are also found.     

Convergence rates of regularized solutions of nonlinear ill-posed operator equations involving monotone operators

The convergence rates of regularized solutions of nonlinear ill-posed operator equations involving monotone operators are investigated, and conditions that guarantee convergence rates like and are given, where δ denotes the noise level of the data perturbation. New sharp inequalities for operator means

New sharp multiplicative reverses of the operator means inequalities are presented, with a simple discussion of squaring an operator inequality. As a direct consequence, we extend the operator Pólya-Szegö inequality to arbitrary operator means. Furthermore, we obtain some new lower and upper bounds for the Tsallis relative operator entropy, operator monotone functions and positive linear maps.     

Non-Existence of Stable Currents in Hypersurfaces

Let M^m be a compact hypersurface in the Euclidean space E^m+1. In this paper, we study the non-existence of stable integral currents in M^m and its immersed submanifolds. 本文研究退化椭圆型方程-Δxu-(α+1)2|x|~(2α)Δyu=|u|~(p-1)u,(x,y)∈Rm×Rk和方程-Δxu-(α+1)2|x|~(2α)Δyu=|u|~(p-1)u,(x,y)∈Π的Liouville型定理,其中-Δx-(α+1)2|x|~(2α)Δy是Grushin算子,Π={(x,y)∈Rm×Rk:x10}或{(x,y)∈Rm×Rk:y10}.本文将证明,当1p(Q+2)/(Q-2)时,上述方程Morse指数有限的有界解只有零解,其中Q=m+(α+1)k为齐次空间的维数,因此,本文将Laplace方程的结果推广到含Grushin算子的方程.     

Mixed means over balls and annuli and lower bounds for operator norms of maximal functions

In this paper we prove mixed-means inequalities for integral power means of an arbitrary real order, where one of the means is taken over the ball , centered at and of radius , δ>0. Therefrom we deduce the corresponding Hardy-type inequality, that is, the operator norm of the operator S_δ which averages over , introduced by Christ and Grafakos in Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 123 (1995) 1687-1693. We also obtain the operator norm of the related limiting geometric mean operator, that is, Carleman or Levin-Cochran-Lee-type inequality. Moreover, we indicate analogous results for annuli and discuss estimations related to the Hardy-Littlewood and spherical maximal functions.     

Some classes of analytic and multivalent functions involving a linear operator

By using a linear operator, which is defined here by means of the Hadamard product (or convolution), the authors introduce some new classes of analytic and multivalent functions in the open unit disk and investigate their inclusion relationships and convolution properties. Integral transforms of functions in these classes are also discussed.
