当高斯激光束用于打小孔时,焦深很小。截断的贝塞尔光束的主极大具有很长的焦深,可降低调焦精度,用于打小孔时优于高斯光束,但是分析表明两者的成孔质量和所能实现的深径比差不多。本文通过计算指出环状分布的光束经透镜后可在焦平面产生适用于激光打孔的贝塞尔-高斯光束,这是一种高效、简单实用的方法。  相似文献

We present a laser Doppler velocimeter that is based on the use of two intersecting Bessel beams instead of the conventionally used Gaussian beams. Due to the quasi non-divergent nature of the Bessel beams, a short effective measurement volume of about 40 μm length could be realized with a low fringe spacing variation of 0.3%. Both of these advantageous values were experimentally verified in flow measurements.  相似文献

决定光与物质相互作用的激光束的波长、入射角、偏振特性以及时间和空间特性是激光材料加工的主要光束特性。激光束的光束质量是其空间特性的量化反映。通过对两种不同激光加工系统输出激光光束质量进行测量和计算,根据多模激光束的聚焦理论,以及对激光深熔焊接实验结果的分析,研究了光束质量对深熔焊接焊缝成形的影响。结果表明,光束质量对聚焦光束的焦斑、聚焦角和焦深的影响不仅体现了激光源的可聚焦性,而且也标志了激光源的可加工能力,这是聚焦系统和焦点位置在选择过程中应该考虑的重要因素。  相似文献

基于汉克尔波理论和衍射积分理论详细分析了轴棱锥对无衍射光束的线聚焦特性, 提出了一种产生周期性局域空心光束的新方法, 即无衍射贝塞尔光束经过轴棱锥聚焦后产生具有塔尔博特效应的局域空心光束. 数值模拟了无衍射贝塞尔光束照射轴棱锥后, 沿传输距离变化的光强分布及一个周期内光强的演变和局域空心光束的形成过程. 设计实验系统, 由He-Ne激光经过一套光学系统后透过轴棱锥, 产生近似无衍射贝塞尔光束, 再由第二个轴棱锥对产生的无衍射贝塞尔光束进行线聚焦, 在第二个轴棱锥后面由显微镜观测到周期性局域空心光束, 并用CCD照相机拍摄了两个周期内的光斑图, 实验结果和理论分析相符合. 研究结果可用于多层面微粒的操控, 对周期性局域空心光束在光学微操控领域的应用具有重要的指导意义. 关键词: 贝塞尔光束 轴棱锥 线聚焦 局域空心光束  相似文献

The main feature of Bessel beams realized in practice is their ability to resist diffractive effects over distances exceeding the usual diffraction length. The theory and experimental demonstration of such waves can be traced back to the seminal work of Durnin and co-workers already in 1987.Despite that fact, to the best of our knowledge, the study of propagation of apertured Bessel beams found no solution in closed analytic form and it often leads to the numerical evaluation of diffraction integrals, which can be very awkward. In the context of paraxial optics, wave propagation in lossless media is described by an equation similar to the non-relativistic Schrödinger equation of quantum mechanics, but replacing the time t in quantum mechanics by the longitudinal coordinate z. Thus, the same mathematical methods can be employed in both cases. Using Bessel functions of the first kind as basis functions in a Hilbert space, here we present a new approach where it is possible to expand the optical wave field in a series, allowing to obtain analytic expressions for the propagation of any given initial field distribution. To demonstrate the robustness of the method two cases were taken into account: Gaussian and zeroth-order Bessel beam propagation.  相似文献

The exact scattering by a sphere centered on a Bessel beam is expressed as a partial wave series involving the scattering angle relative to the beam axis and the conical angle of the wave vector components of the Bessel beam. The sphere is assumed to have isotropic material properties so that the nth partial wave amplitude for plane wave scattering is proportional to a known partial-wave coefficient. The scattered partial waves in the Bessel beam case are also proportional to the same partial-wave coefficient but now the weighting factor depends on the properties of the Bessel beam. When the wavenumber-radius product ka is large, for rigid or soft spheres the scattering is peaked in the backward and forward directions along the beam axis as well as in the direction of the conical angle. These properties are geometrically explained and some symmetry properties are noted. The formulation is also suitable for elastic and fluid spheres. A partial wave expansion of the Bessel beam is noted.  相似文献

The use of a laser Doppler vibrometer to obtain velocity information from vibrating structures has gained wide acceptance in recent years. Although use of such an instrument can yield a spatially dense matrix of velocity information, several users have noted ‘noise’ at certain points in the spatial field. The technique by which the SLDV system operates results in occasional velocity ‘drop-outs’ which are unidirectional, always estimating the velocity response closer to zero than reality. These ‘drop-out’ areas occur more predominately at points of maximum velocity response with small rotational components. Alternatively, points exhibiting minimum velocity response with large rotational components are less susceptible to the ‘noise’. In this paper, an experiment to visualize the speckle pattern motions received by the photo-detectors during these vibration conditions is presented. Theories regarding the source(s) of the ‘noise’ are developed.  相似文献

We report experimental results of drilling micro holes in Al, Mo, Ti, Cu, Ag, Au, and brass thin metal foils in air using 60-femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser pulses. The influence of laser parameters and material properties on drilling processes at the sub-10-micron scale has been examined. Comparison of hole drilling using 60-fs pulses with that using 50-ps and 10-ns pulses at an energy fluence of ~15 J/cm2 indicates that a significant amount of melting is present in both ps and ns regimes, whereas with fs pulses, fewer and much smaller droplets from the molten phase are observed.  相似文献

A new method for improving the efficiency of laser drilling has been developed. Two synchronized free-running laser pulses from a tandem-head Nd:YAG laser are capable of drilling through 1/8-in-thick stainless-steel targets at a stand-off distance of 1 m without gas-assist. The combination of a high-energy laser pulse for melting with a properly tailored high-intensity laser pulse for liquid expulsion results in the efficient drilling of metal targets. We argue that the improvement in drilling is due to the recoil pressure generated by rapid evaporation of the molten material by the second laser pulse. Mathematical expressions for the acoustic scattering, instantaneous (linear), and time-averaged (nonlinear) forces resulting from the interaction of a new type of Bessel beam, termed here a first-order non-diffracting Bessel trigonometric beam (FOBTB) with a sphere, are derived. The beam is termed “trigonometric” because of the dependence of its phase on the cosine function. The FOBTB is regarded as a superposition of two equi-amplitude first-order Bessel vortex (helicoidal) beams having a unit positive and negative order (known also as topological charge), respectively. The FOBTB is non-diffracting, possesses an axial null, a geometric phase, and has an azimuthal phase that depends on cos(?±?0), where ?0 is an initial arbitrary phase angle. Beam rotation around its wave propagation axis can be achieved by varying ?0. The 3D directivity patterns are computed, and the resulting modifications of the scattering are illustrated for a rigid sphere centered on the beam's axis and immersed in water. Moreover, the backward and forward acoustic scattering by a sphere vanish for all frequencies. The present paper will shed light on the novel scattering properties of an acoustical FOBTB by a sphere that may be useful in particle manipulation and entrapment, non-destructive/medical imaging, and may be extended to other potentially useful applications in optics and electromagnetism.  相似文献

The theory of non-diffracting Bessel beam propagation and experimental evidence for nearly-non-diffracting Bessel beam propagation are reviewed. The experimental results are analysed to show that the observed propagation distances are characteristic of the optical systems used to transport the beams, and are not unique to the Bessel beam intensity profiles. The results indicate that, despite the innovative techniques employed to generate finite radius Bessel beam distributions, nearly-non-diffracting Bessel beam propagation has not yet been conclusively demonstrated.  相似文献

本文从理论角度提出了一种"含时贝塞尔光束"的概念.在非傍轴和非时谐条件下,直接从麦克斯韦方程出发,借鉴半贝塞尔光束的处理方法,同时引入第四维虚数坐标,由此获得了完整的"含时贝塞尔光束"的解析表达式.并从无衍射性质和时空特性两个方面对其进行了探讨和研究,发现该光束具有如下性质:符合贝塞尔光束类型的无衍射特征;在时空双曲线上强度保持不变;光波时空特性的临界条件类似于相对论中的光锥."含时贝塞尔光束"的概念为无衍射自加速光束的研究开拓了新的思路和方向.  相似文献

In an elliptic coordinate system the solution for a diffraction-free beam is given by a Mathieu beam, which is mathematically complicated and therefore takes considerable computational time and a large memory space. A technique is reported for the generation of elliptic hollow beams, which are actually scaled versions of higher-order Bessel beams. The analysis is based on the fact that stretching coordinates in the space domain results in a contraction of the coordinates in the frequency domain, along with a change in the overall amplitude of the spectrum. The beam, produced holographically, is structurally stable and retains its shape up to approximately 1 m.  相似文献

A method of measuring flow-birefringence is reported. In this method, a circularly polarized light wave is transmitted through the flow-birefringent medium. The transmitted elliptically polarized wave is compensated by a Babinet-Soleil plate to convert it back into a circularly polarized wave. The state of circular polarization is confirmed using the rotating-analyser method. Measurements can be carried out with a sample having a fixed azimuth. The minimum detectable optical retardation angle was 5 × 10-3 degree. This corresponds to a birefringence of Δn = 1 × 10-10, when the optical path length of the sample cell is 100 mm.  相似文献

We propose a pushing gate for entangling two ions in a planar Coulomb crystal in the view of realizing large-scale quantum simulations. A tightly focused laser is irradiated from the direction perpendicular to the crystal plane and its spatial intensity profile generates a state-dependent force. 基于Hankel 波理论分析了非相干光源产生Bessel光束的自重建特性, 利用光学设计软件ZEMAX模拟了Bessel光束经过轴上圆形障碍物后的截面光强分布. 由于发光二级管(LED) 具有一定的频谱宽度且不像激光具有很高的相干度, 因此我们采用一定频宽范围的连续谱来描述. 从模拟结果可以直观地看出Bessel光束被轴上圆形障碍物遮挡后逐步完成自重建, 说明用LED非相干光作为光源具有自重建特性.实验上采用LED和轴棱锥元件产生Bessel光束, 然后通过轴上圆形障碍物、轴上方形障碍物, 并拍摄了不同位置处的截面光强分布图, 证实了非相干光源产生Bessel光束的自重建特性.实验结果和模拟结果相符合. 关键词: 无衍射光束 LED光源 轴棱锥 自重建  相似文献
