We study Lyapunov functions for infinite-dimensional dynamical systems governed by general maximal monotone operators. We obtain a characterization of Lyapunov pairs by means of the associated Hamilton-Jacobi partial differential equations, whose solutions are meant in the viscosity sense, as evolved in works of Tataru and Crandall-Lions. Our approach also leads to a new sufficient condition for Lyapunov pairs, generalizing a classical result of Pazy.  相似文献

It has been proved that a differential system d x / d t = f(t, x) with a discontinuous right-hand side admits some continuous weak Lyapunov function if and only if it is robustly stable. This paper focuses on the smoothness of such a Lyapunov function. An example of an (asymptotically) stable system for which there does not exist any (even weak) Lyapunov functions of class C 1 is given. In the more general context of differential inclusions, the existence of a weak Lyapunov function of class C 1 (or C ) is shown to be equivalent to the robust stability of some perturbed system obtained in introducing measurement error with respect to x and t. This condition is proved to be satisfied by most of the robustly stable systems encountered in the literature. Analogous results are given for the Lagrange stability. As an application to the study of the links between internal and external stability for control systems, an extension of a result by Bacciotti and Beccari is obtained by means of a smooth Lyapunov function associated with a robustly Lagrange stable system.  相似文献

The notion of Lyapunov function plays a key role in the design and verification of dynamical systems, as well as hybrid and cyber-physical systems. In this paper, to analyze the asymptotic stability of a dynamical system, we generalize standard Lyapunov functions to relaxed Lyapunov functions (RLFs), by considering higher order Lie derivatives. Furthermore, we present a method for automatically discovering polynomial RLFs for polynomial dynamical systems (PDSs). Our method is relatively complete in the sense that it is able to discover all polynomial RLFs with a given predefined template for any PDS. Therefore it can also generate all polynomial RLFs for the PDS by enumerating all polynomial templates.  相似文献

A complement to A. M. Olevskii's fundamental inequality on the logarithmic growth of Lebesgue functions of an arbitrary uniformly bounded orthonormal system on a set of positive measure is made. Namely, the index where the Lebesgue functions have growth slightly weaker than logarithmic can be chosen independently of the variable. We consider the problem of the synthesis of a bounded control reducing a dynamical system to the given terminal state in a finite time. Two approaches to solve the problem, based on methods of the theory of stability of motion, are provided. One of them is applicable to nonlinear Lagrange mechanical systems with undetermined parameters, while another is applicable to linear systems. The characteristic property is that the Lyapunov functions are defined implicitly in both cases. We make a comparison between these approaches.  相似文献

In this paper, an output feedback model predictive tracking control method is proposed for constrained nonlinear systems, which are described by a slope bounded model. In order to solve the problem, we consider the finite horizon cost function for an off-set free tracking control of the system. For reference tracking, the steady state is calculated by solving by quadratic programming and a nonlinear estimator is designed to predict the state from output measurements. The optimized control input sequences are obtained by minimizing the upper bound of the cost function with a terminal weighting matrix. The cost monotonicity guarantees that tracking and estimation errors go to zero. The proposed control law can easily be obtained by solving a convex optimization problem satisfying several linear matrix inequalities. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed method, a novel slope bounded nonlinear model-based predictive control method is applied to the set-point tracking problem of solid oxide fuel cell systems. Simulations are also given to demonstrate the tracking performance of the proposed method.  相似文献

We consider stabilization of nonlinear affine dynamical systems by bounded control. Boundedness of control is achieved by specifying the parameter variation program for a one-parameter family of stabilizing controls. A class of globally stabilizable systems is identified. Conditions are derived when the affine system is stabilizable by a bounded control in a region, and a bound on this stabilization region is constructed using Lyapunov functions.  相似文献
