We have investigated the influence of the average degree \langle k \rangle of network on the location of an order--disorder transition in opinion dynamics. For this purpose, a variant of majority rule (VMR) model is applied to Watts--Strogatz (WS) small-world networks and Barab\'{a}si--Albert (BA) scale-free networks which may describe some non-trivial properties of social systems. Using Monte Carlo simulations, we find that the order--disorder transition point of the VMR model is greatly affected by the average degree \langle k \rangle of the networks; a larger value of \langle k \rangle results in a more ordered state of the system. Comparing WS networks with BA networks, we find WS networks have better orderliness than BA networks when the average degree \langle k \rangle is small. With the increase of \langle k \rangle, BA networks have a more ordered state. By implementing finite-size scaling analysis, we also obtain critical exponents \beta/\nu, \gamma/\nu and 1/\nu for several values of average degree \langle k \rangle. Our results may be helpful to understand structural effects on order--disorder phase transition in the context of the majority rule model.  相似文献

In this paper, we interpret the dark energy phenomenon as an averaged effect caused by small scale inhomogeneities of the universe with the use of the spatial averaged approach of Buchert. Two models are considered here, one of which assumes that the backreaction term ${\cal Q}_\mathcal{D}$ and the averaged spatial Ricci scalar $\langle\mathcal{R}\rangle_\mathcal{D}$ obey the scaling laws of the volume scale factor $a_\mathcal{D}$ at adequately late times, and the other one adopts the ansatz that the backreaction term ${\cal Q}_\mathcal{D}$ is a constant in the recent universe. Thanks to the effective geometry introduced by Larena et al. in their previous work, we confront these two backreaction models with latest type Ia supernova and Hubble parameter observations, coming out with the results that the constant backreaction model is slightly favoured over the other model and the best fitting backreaction term in the scaling backreaction model behaves almost like a constant. Also, the numerical results show that the constant backreaction model predicts a smaller expansion rate and decelerated expansion rate than the other model does at redshifts higher than about 1, and both backreaction terms begin to accelerate the universe at a redshift around 0.5.  相似文献

Theory of nine elastic constants of biaxial nematics   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1       下载免费PDF全文

In this paper, a rotational invariant of interaction energy between two biaxial-shaped molecules is assumed and in the mean field approximation, nine elastic constants for simple distortion patterns in biaxial nematics are derived in terms of the thermal average (Dmn^(l)) (Dm'n'^(l')), where Dmn^(l) is the Wigner rotation matrix. In the lowest order terms, the elastic constants depend on coefficients Γ,Γ', λ, order parameters Q0 = Q0(D00^(2)) +Q2(D02^(2)+D0-2^(2)) and Q2 = Q0(D20^(2)) + Q2(D22^(2)+D2-2^(2)). Here Γ and Γ' depend on the function form of molecular interaction energy vj′j″j (τ12) and probability function fk′k″k (τ12), where r12 is the distance between two molecules, and λ is proportional to temperature. Q0 and Q2 are parameters related to multiple moments of molecules. Comparing these results with those obtained from Landau-de Gennes theory, we have obtained relationships between coefficients, order parameters used in both theories. In the special case of uniaxial nematics, both results are reduced to a degenerate case where K11=K33.  相似文献

Expectation values of single electron and interelectronic geometric quantities such as $\langle r\rangle$, $\langle r_{12}\rangle$, $\langle r_<\rangle$, $\langle r_>\rangle$, $\langle \cos\theta_{12}\rangle$ and $\langle \theta_{12}\rangle$ are calculated for doubly excited $2{\rm p}n{\rm p}\,{}^1P^{\,\rm e}\,(3\leq n\leq5),\, 2{\rm p}n{\rm p}\,{}^3\!P^{\,\rm e}\,(2\leq n\leq5)$ and $2{\rm p}n{\rm d}\,{}^{1,3}D^{\,\rm o}\,(3\leq n\leq5)$ states of helium using Hylleraas-$B$-spline basis set. The energy levels converge to at least 10 significant digits in our calculations. The extrapolated values of geometric quantities except for $\langle \theta_{12}\rangle$ reach 10 significant digits as well; $\langle \theta_{12}\rangle$ reaches at least 7 significant digits using a multipole expansion approach. Our results provide a precise reference for future research.  相似文献

We study the characteristics of temperature fluctuation in two-dimensional turbulent Rayleigh–Benard convection in′a square cavity by direct numerical simulations. The Rayleigh number range is 1×108≤Ra≤1×1013,and the Prandtl number is selected as Pr=0.7 and Pr=4.3.It is found that the temperature fluctuation profiles with respect to Ra exhibit two different distribution patterns. In the thermal boundary layer, the normalized fluctuationθrms/θrms,max is independent of Ra and a power law relation is identified,i.e.,θrms/θrms,max~(z/δ)0.99±0.01,where z/δis a dimensionless distance to the boundary(δis the thickness of thermal boundary layer).Out of the boundary layer, when Ra≤5×109,the profiles ofθrms/θrms,max descend, then ascend, and finally drop dramatically as z/δincreases.While for Ra≥1×1010,the profiles continuously decrease and finally overlap with each other. The two different characteristics of temperature fluctuations are closely related to the formation of stable large-scale circulations and corner rolls.Besides, there is a critical value of Ra indicating the transition, beyond which the fluctuation hθrmsiV has a power law dependence on Ra,given by hθrmsiV~Ra?0.14±0.01.  相似文献

We have considered two distant mesoscopic superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) rings A and B in the presence of two-mode nonclassical state fields and investigated the correlation of the supercurrents in the two rings using the normalized correlation function $C_{\rm AB}$. We show that when the parameter $\alpha$ is very small for the separable state with the density matrix $\hat {\rho } = (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle \left\langle {\alpha , - \alpha } \right| + \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle \left\langle { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right|) / 2$ and entangled coherent state (ECS) $\left| u \right\rangle = N_1 (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle + \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle )$ fields, the dynamic behaviours of the normalized correlation function $C_{\rm AB}$ are similar, but it is quite different for the entangled coherent state $\left| {u}' \right\rangle = N_2 (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle - \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle )$ field. When the parameter $\alpha $ is very large, the dynamic behaviours of $C_{\rm AB}$ are almost the same for the separable state, entangled coherent state $\left| u \right\rangle $ and $\left| {u}' \right\rangle $ fields. For the two-mode squeezed vacuum state field the maximum of $C_{\rm AB}$ increases monotonically with the squeezing parameter $r$, and as $r \to \infty $, $C_{\rm AB} \to 1$. This means that the supercurrents in the two rings A and B are quantum mechanically correlated perfectly. It is concluded that not all the quantum correlations in the two-mode nonclassical state field can be transferred to the supercurrents; and the transfer depends on the state of the two-mode nonclassical state field prepared.  相似文献

The mixedness of the N-qubit quantum states with exchange symmetry has been studied, and the results show that the linear entropy of the single qubit reduced density matrix (RDM), which can describe the mixedness, is completely determined by the expectation values 〈Sz〉 and 〈S±〉 for both the pure and the mixed states. The mixedness of the pure states can be used to describe the bipartite entanglement, as an example we have calculated the mixedness of the Dicke state and the spin squeezed Kitagawa-Ueda state. For the mixed states, we determine the mixedness properties of both the ground states and the thermal states in mean-field clusters of spin-1/2 particles interacting via the anisotropy Heisenberg XXZ interaction, and found for the ferromagnetic case (J 〈 0), the mixedness will approximate to the pairwise entanglement when the anisotropic parameter △ 〉 △c.  相似文献

The average of the moments for event shapes in e ?+? e??→hadrons within the context of next-to-leading order (NLO) perturbative QCD prediction in dispersive model is studied. Moments used in this article are $\langle {1-T}\rangle$ , $\langle \rho\rangle$ , $\langle {B_{\rm T}}\rangle$ and $\langle {B_{\rm W} }\rangle$ . We extract α s, the coupling constant in perturbative theory and α 0 in the non-perturbative theory using the dispersive model. By fitting the experimental data, the values of $\alpha_{\rm s} ({M_{\rm Z^0} })=0.1171\pm 0.00229$ and $\alpha_0 \left( {\mu_{\rm I} =2\,{\rm GeV}} \right)=0.5068\pm 0.0440$ are found. Our results are consistent with the above model. Our results are also consistent with those obtained from other experiments at different energies. All these features are explained in this paper.  相似文献

The topics of confinement, average forces, and the Ehrenfest theorem are examined for a particle in one spatial dimension. Two specific cases are considered: (i) A free particle moving on the entire real line, which is then permanently confined to a line segment or ‘a box’ (this situation is achieved by taking the limit V 0?→?∞ in a finite well potential). This case is called ‘a particle-in-an-infinite-square-well-potential’. (ii) A free particle that has always been moving inside a box (in this case, an external potential is not necessary to confine the particle, only boundary conditions). This case is called ‘a particle-in-a-box’. After developing some basic results for the problem of a particle in a finite square well potential, the limiting procedure that allows us to obtain the average force of the infinite square well potential from the finite well potential problem is re-examined in detail. A general expression is derived for the mean value of the external classical force operator for a particle-in-an-infinite-square-well-potential, $\hat{F}$ . After calculating similar general expressions for the mean value of the position ( $\hat{X}$ ) and momentum ( $\hat{P}$ ) operators, the Ehrenfest theorem for a particle-in-an-infinite-square-well-potential (i.e., $\mathrm{d}\langle\hat{X}\rangle/\mathrm{d}t=\langle\hat{P}\rangle/M$ and $\mathrm{d}\langle\hat{P}\rangle/\mathrm{d}t=\langle\hat{F}\rangle$ ) is proven. The formal time derivatives of the mean value of the position ( $\hat{x}$ ) and momentum ( $\hat{p}$ ) operators for a particle-in-a-box are re-introduced. It is verified that these derivatives present terms that are evaluated at the ends of the box. Specifically, for the wave functions satisfying the Dirichlet boundary condition, the results, $\mathrm{d}\langle\hat{x}\rangle/\mathrm{d}t=\langle\hat{p}\rangle/M$ and $\mathrm{d}\langle\hat{p}\rangle/\mathrm{d}t=\mathrm{b.t.}+\langle\hat{f}\rangle$ , are obtained where b.t. denotes a boundary term and $\hat{f}$ is the external classical force operator for the particle-in-a-box. Thus, it appears that the expected Ehrenfest theorem is not entirely verified. However, by considering a normalized complex general state that is a combination of energy eigenstates to the Hamiltonian describing a particle-in-a-box with v(x)?=?0 ( $\Rightarrow\hat{f}=0$ ), the result that the b.t. is equal to the mean value of the external classical force operator for the particle-in-an-infinite-square-well-potential is obtained, i.e., $\mathrm{d}\langle\hat{p}\rangle/\mathrm{d}t$ is equal to $\langle\hat{F}\rangle$ . Moreover, the b.t. is written as the mean value of a quantity that is called boundary quantum force, f B. Thus, the Ehrenfest theorem for a particle-in-a-box can be completed with the formula $\mathrm{d}\langle\hat{p}\rangle/\mathrm{d}t=\langle{{f_\mathrm{B}}}\rangle$ .  相似文献

A very long lifetime exciton emission with non-single exponential decay characteristics has been reported for single InA-s/GaAs quantum dot(QD) samples,in which there exists a long-lived metastable state in the wetting layer(WL)through radiative field coupling between the exciton emissions in the WL and the dipole field of metal islands. In this article we have proposed a new three-level model to simulate the exciton emission decay curve. In this model, assuming that the excitons in a metastable state will diffuse and be trapped by QDs,and then emit fluorescence in QDs,a stretchedlike exponential decay formula is derived as I(t)=At~(β-1)e~(-(rt)β),which can describe well the long lifetime decay curve with an analytical expression of average lifetime  相似文献

We study the interaction between a scalar quantum field $\hat \phi (x)$, and many different boundary configurations constructed from (parallel and orthogonal) thin planar surfaces on which $\hat \phi (x)$ is constrained to vanish, or to satisfy Neumann conditions. For most of these boundaries the Casimir problem has not previously been investigated. We calculate the canonical and improved vacuum stress tensors $ \langle \hat T_{\mu \nu } (x)\rangle\$ and $ \langle \Theta _{\mu \nu (x)} \rangle\$ of $\hat \phi (x)$; for each example. From these we obtain the local Casimir forces on all boundary planes. For massless fields, both vacuum stress tensors yield identical attractive local Casimir forces in all Dirichlet examples considered. This desirable outcome is not a priori obvious, given the quite different features of $ \langle \hat T_{\mu \nu } (x)\rangle\$ and $ \langle \Theta _{\mu \nu (x)} \rangle\$. For Neumann conditions. $ \langle \hat T_{\mu \nu } (x)\rangle\$ and $ \langle \Theta _{\mu \nu (x)} \rangle\$ lead to attractive Casimir stresses which are not always the same. We also consider Dirichlet and Neumann boundaries immersed in a common scalar quantum field, and find that these repel. The extensive catalogue of worked examples presented here belongs to a large class of completely solvable Casimir problems. Casimir forces previously unknown are predicted, among them ones which might be measurable.  相似文献

Epitaxial Mn$_{4}$N films with different thicknesses were fabricated by facing-target reactive sputtering and their anomalous Hall effect (AHE) is investigated systematically. The Hall resistivity shows a reversed magnetic hysteresis loop with the magnetic field. The magnitude of the anomalous Hall resistivity sharply decreases with decreasing temperature from 300 K to 150 K. The AHE scaling law in Mn$_{4}$N films is influenced by the temperature-dependent magnetization, carrier concentration and interfacial scattering. Different scaling laws are used to distinguish the various contributions of AHE mechanisms. The scaling exponent $\gamma > 2$ for the conventional scaling in Mn$_{4}$N films could be attributed to the residual resistivity $\rho_{xx0}$. The longitudinal conductivity $\sigma_{xx}$ falls into the dirty regime. The scaling of $\rho_{\rm AH}=\alpha \rho_{xx0} +b\rho_{xx}^{n}$ is used to separate out the temperature-independent $\rho_{xx0}$ from extrinsic contribution. Moreover, the relationship between $\rho_{\rm AH}$ and $\rho_{xx}$ is fitted by the proper scaling to clarify the contributions from extrinsic and intrinsic mechanisms of AHE, which demonstrates that the dominant mechanism of AHE in the Mn$_{4}$N films can be ascribed to the competition between skew scattering, side jump and the intrinsic mechanisms.  相似文献

We present measurements of azimuthal correlations between photons (from π0 decay) and charged hadrons in d+Au collisions at  =200 GeV. We use di-hadron correlations to study parton fragmentation in d+Au collisions at RHIC. Specifically, the near-side and away-side peaks of the azimuthal angular difference distribution are used to measure the root-mean-squared (RMS) fragmentation transverse momentum and the mean intrinsic parton transverse momentum . The measurements with leading photons are compared to results using leading charged particles. PACS  25.75.-q  相似文献

The dependence between neutron skin thickness and neutron abrasion cross section (σnabr) for neutron-rich nuclei is investigated within the framework of the statistical abrasion ablation model. Assuming that the density distributions for proton and neutron are of Fermi-type, and adjusting the diffuseness parameter of neutron density distribution in the droplet model, we find out the good linear correlation between the neutron skin thickness and the abrasion cross section σnabr for neutron-rich nuclei. The uncertainty of neutron skin thickness determined from σnabr is very small. It is suggested that σnabr can be used as a new experimental observable to extract the neutron skin thickness for neutronrich nucleus. The scaling behaviours between neutron skin thickness and σnabr, separately, for isotopes of ^26-35Na, ^44-56Ar, ^48-60Ca, ^67-78Ni are also investigated.  相似文献

Rapidity distributions of net hyperons $\left( {\Lambda - \bar \Lambda } \right)$ are compared to distributions of participant protons $\left( {p - \bar p} \right)$ . Strangeness production (mean multiplicities of produced Λ/Σ0 hyperons and $\left\langle {K + \bar K} \right\rangle $ in central nucleusnucleus collisions is shown for different collision systems at different energies. An enhanced production of $\bar \Lambda $ compared to $\bar p$ is observed at 200 GeV per nucleon.  相似文献

Studying the coherent diffractive production of pions in neutrino and antineutrino scattering off the nuclei of freon molecules we have observed for the first time in one experiment all three states of the isospin triplet of the axial part of the weak charged and neutral currents. For the corresponding cross sections we derive $$\begin{array}{*{20}c} {\sigma _{coh}^v (\pi ^ + ) = (106 \pm 16) \cdot 10^{ - 40} {{cm^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{cm^2 } {\left\langle {nucl.} \right\rangle }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left\langle {nucl.} \right\rangle }}} \\ {\sigma _{coh}^{\bar v} (\pi ^ - ) = (113 \pm 35) \cdot 10^{ - 40} {{cm^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{cm^2 } {\left\langle {nucl.} \right\rangle }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left\langle {nucl.} \right\rangle }}and} \\ {\sigma _{coh}^v (\pi ^0 ) = (52 \pm 19) \cdot 10^{ - 40} {{cm^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{cm^2 } {\left\langle {nucl.} \right\rangle }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left\langle {nucl.} \right\rangle }}} \\ \end{array} $$ . Comparing our data with theoretical predictions based on the standard model of weak interactions we find reasonable agreement. Independently from any model of coherent pion production we determine the isovector axial vector coupling constant to be |β|=0.99±0.20.  相似文献

We derive general properties of the finite-size scaling of probability density functions and show that when the apparent exponent of a probability density is less than 1, the associated finite-size scaling ansatz has a scaling exponent τ equal to 1, provided that the fraction of events in the universal scaling part of the probability density function is non-vanishing in the thermodynamic limit. We find the general result that τ≥1 and . Moreover, we show that if the scaling function approaches a non-zero constant for small arguments, , then . However, if the scaling function vanishes for small arguments, , then τ= 1, again assuming a non-vanishing fraction of universal events. Finally, we apply the formalism developed to examples from the literature, including some where misunderstandings of the theory of scaling have led to erroneous conclusions.  相似文献

The analytical transfer matrix method (ATMM) is applied to calculating the critical radius $r_{\rm c}$ and the dipole polarizability $\alpha_{\rm d}$ in two confined systems: the hydrogen atom and the Hulth\'{e}n potential. We find that there exists a linear relation between $r_{\rm c}^{1/2}$ and the quantum number $n_{r}$ for a fixed angular quantum number $l$, moreover, the three bounds of $\alpha_{\rm d}$ ($\alpha_{\rm d}^{K}$, $\alpha_{\rm d}^{B}$, $\alpha_{\rm d}^{U}$) satisfy an inequality: $\alpha_{\rm d}^{K}\leq\alpha_{\rm d}^{B}\leq\alpha_{\rm d}^{U}$. A comparison between the ATMM, the exact numerical analysis, and the variational wavefunctions shows that our method works very well in the systems.  相似文献
