We study the interaction of a rectilinear nonrelativistic electron beam with a solid-state plasma in a rectangular metal waveguide, as well as wave processes in a plasma waveguide of rectangular cross section in the absence of an electron beam. Using the method of discrete sources, we solve the problem of scattering of electromagnetic waves by structures composed of a finite number of three-dimensional perfectly conducting bodies bounded by smooth surfaces of arbitrary shape. We describe briefly the capabilities of the package of computer codes developed for calculating the scattered-field characteristics and checking the accuracy of the solution obtained. We present some results of numerical calculations aimed at analysis of the influence of the distance between the bodies on their electromagnetic interaction.  相似文献

Based on the modal solution of one dimensionally periodic structure with piecewise uniform dielectric constant distribution, characteristic solutions for two dimensionally Dielectric Waveguide Array (DWA) are rigorously formulated. By satisfying periodic boundary conditions in the interfaces inside a unit cell, semi-closed-form dispersion relation for DWA can be established. We consider diffraction of electromagnetic waves by an anisotropic cylindrical inhomogeneity located in a planar waveguide with perfectly conducting walls. Anisotropy is allowed for by using the uniaxial-crystal approximation. A rigorous analytical solution is represented in the form of double sums over eigenfunctions of a planar waveguide with perfectly conducting walls and azimuthal eigenfunctions of a cylinder. Different components of the intensity of the electric field scatttered by an anisotropic inhomogeneity are numerically calculated. Cylindrical Dielectric Waveguide Array(CDWA) should be considered as a kind of two-dimensionally periodic(2DP) medium. Based on the established rigorous theory for 2DP medium, a great amount of numerical results for CDWA were presented. Wave propagation in CDWA was analyzed in detail in this paper. Firstly, given the longitudinal wave vector (k z=0), Brillouin dispersion relations between transverse wave vectors were analyzed when modulation coefficients or the rate of different dielectric areas in a unit cell varied. Interactions between space harmonics were also studied. Secondly, when the area of dielectric cylinder in the unit cell varied within a given range, CDWA dispersion relations were compared with Rectangle Dielectric Waveguide Array's, some interesting conclusions were obtained.  相似文献

Using the method of auxiliary sources, we solve the problem of electromagnetic-wave scattering by structures composed of a finite number of three-dimensional perfectly conducting bodies, some of which are thin wires. The capabilities of the developed software package is briefly described. We show how to construct discrete Maxwell equations by discrete exterior calculus. The new scheme has many virtues compared to the traditional Yee's scheme: it is a multisymplectic scheme and keeps geometric properties. Moreover, it can be applied on triangular mesh and thus is more adaptive to handle domains with irregular shapes. We have implemented this scheme on a Java platform successfully and our experimental results show that this scheme works well.  相似文献
