A method is proposed for overcoming the famous ‘phase problem’ in neutron specular reflectometry. It is shown that the complex reflection coefficient of any unknown non magnetic layer, with real scattering length density, can be determined by using a magnetic transmitted media and by measuring the polarization of the reflected beam relative to the incident beam. The method follows directly from a recent one which is limited to a one-dimensional neutron polarization. Here, the theory is generalized for a neutron polarization of arbitrary direction. We show that some combinations between the polarization of the incident and reflected beam must be used to determine the reflection coefficient. Also, it is shown that instead of full polarization or reflectivity analysis, some combinations between polarization and reflectivity can be used in the analysis process. The method is supplemented with a schematic example to test the method and its stability in the presence of experimental uncertainties and roughness of the interfaces. The features of the Bragg diffraction of light by ultrasound under the conditions of Fresnel reflection from the boundaries of a perturbed layer have been investigated. It has been shown that layers based on acousto-optical gyrotropic crystals perturbed by ultrasound can be used as efficient light modulators. The relative intensities of diffracted waves have been found to be determined by the relation of the refractive indices of adjacent media and by the ultrasound intensity. With an increase in the thickness of the modulated layer, the reflection and transmission coefficients of the first-order diffracted waves achieve their maxima at a lower ultrasound intensity.  相似文献

针对航天领域复合材料结构在空间服役环境的热响应监测需求,研究了一种热载荷作用下基于光纤Bragg光栅(FBG)反射光谱特征分析的碳纤维蜂窝夹芯结构监测方法。将光纤Bragg光栅传感器分别植入碳纤维蜂窝夹芯结构的不同铺层,通过监测不同热载荷下各铺层位置的光纤光栅反射光谱,得到碳纤维蜂窝夹芯结构相关铺层位置热应变特征。研究表明,碳纤维蜂窝夹芯结构不同材料铺层的热应变特征存在一定差异。植入外蒙皮表面与玻璃布之间的光纤光栅反射光谱随着温度升高,中心波长向长波方向漂移,且波形未出现明显改变。埋植于外蒙皮第二、三层碳纤维织物预浸料之间的光栅反射光谱随着温度降低逐渐出现旁瓣、多峰等啁啾效应,其主峰与右侧次峰中心波长均向短波方向逐渐漂移,主峰峰值幅度变化较小,温度灵敏度约为5.56×10-3 dBm·℃-1,而右侧次峰幅度显著增大,温度灵敏度约为40.32×10-3 dBm·℃-1;埋植于内蒙皮和蜂窝芯子之间的光栅反射光谱随着温度降低,其半波峰带宽逐渐增大,变化率约为3.19 pm·℃-1,且出现显著多峰趋势,这是由于层间热应力分布不均匀所形成。在-70~+60 ℃温度范围,各植入层热应变均随温度升高而增大,且变化趋势相接近,而在+60~+120 ℃温度范围内,各植入层热应变变化趋势呈现显著差异。这些特性能够为后继空间环境复合材料航天器结构状态在轨监测提供有益帮助。  相似文献

从电磁场理论推导了光波在负折射率介质薄层中的传输矩阵,对由正、负折射率介质构成的全介质布喇格反射镜的反射带宽和角度特性进行了分析和讨论,与普通的均由正折射率介质构成的布喇格反射镜的相应特性做了对比,并根据薄膜理论对研究结果作了解释.结果表明含有负折射率介质的布喇格全反射镜的反射带宽和角度特性均优于普通由正折射率介质构成的布喇格镜.  相似文献

Parametric x-ray radiation is observed in a mosaic pyrolytic-graphite crystal irradiated with a 5.7-MeV electron beam. The first-order (002) reflection of parametric x-ray radiation is detected in Bragg geometry. In the measured spectra, there is a peak at about 8 keV. The detector used is arranged at an angle of ΘD=2ΘB=27° with respect to the electron beam, where ΘB is the Bragg angle. The target thickness is 0.3 mm. The spectra of parametric x-ray radiation are measured at various angles of target orientation with respect to the axis of the incident-electron beam.  相似文献

A periodic magnetic Fe/Co multilayer nanostructure is investigated via neutron reflectometry with the help of the time-of-flight technique and the obtained results are presented. The experimental and calculated reflection coefficients of a neutron beam depending on the transmitted pulse are discussed for several magnetic fields and both beam spin components. It is experimentally established and confirmed by calculations that, for the first Bragg peaks and both beam spin components, the reflection coefficients are almost equal to each other and depend slightly on magnetic field.  相似文献

Bragg reflections from single crystals yield angular widths of a few arcsec for thermal neutron beams. The Bonse-Hart proposal to attain a sharp, nearly rectangular profile by Bragg reflecting neutrons multiply from a channel-cut single crystal, was realized in its totality three and a half decades later by achieving the corresponding Darwin reflection curves for 5.23 Å neutrons. This facilitated SUSANS (Super USANS) measurements in the Q ~ 10?5 Å?1 range. The polarized neutron option was introduced into the SUSANS set-up by separating the up- and down-spin neutron beams by ~10 arcsec with a magnetic (air) prism. The neutron angular width has recently been reduced further by an order of magnitude to ~0.6 arcsec by diffracting 5.3 Å neutrons from a judiciously optimized Bragg prism. This constitutes the most parallel monochromatic neutron beam produced to date. I present the first SUSANS spectra probing the Q ~ 10?6 Å?1 domain, recorded with this beam.  相似文献

Recently it has been shown that the modulus and phase of complex reflection coefficient can be determined using a magnetic substrate and polarized neutrons. Several other methods have also been worked out based on the measurement of polarizations of reflected neutrons from magnetic reference layers and magnetic substrate. However, due to the fact that available reflectometers are limited in the choice of polarization of reflected beam in the same direction as the polarization of the incident beam, neither of the methods, which are based on polarization analysis, have been proven to be experimentally practical. In this paper, we have proposed a new method for determining the phase of reflection coefficient that is based on two measurements of polarization, which correspond to two magnetic fields with the same magnitude and different orientations. The polarization analysis is performed in the same direction as the polarization of the incident beam and is well suited for available reflectometers.The problems envisaged in implementation of the method are also discussed.  相似文献

The interference effect between the neutron spinor components i s investigated. It is shown that the diffusion of the neutron wave-packet under an unhomogeneous magnetic field is related to the phase shift angle between the two spinor components. We propose that this effect could be used to detect the phase -shifk of a coherent neutron beam having passed through some medium. In the interference experiment based upon this.principle one will not need to use Bragg reflection from crystal planes for splitting and recombining the beam, and the dimension of the phase shift region will be much longer than that of the usual BonsAe-Hart type neutron interferometer.  相似文献

The problem of X-ray reflection from multilayer structures with magnetic layers has been solved. The matrix for reflection of electromagnetic waves from such structures has been calculated analytically in kinematical and dynamical approximations. It is shown that not only reflection coefficients, but also magneto-optic effects are enhanced near Bragg peak. The possibility of measuring magneto-optic effects in multilayer structures without using synchrotron radiation has been estimated.  相似文献

We have designed, fabricated and operated a novel Bragg prism monochromator-analyser combination. With a judicious choice of the Bragg reflection, its asymmetry and the apex angle of the silicon single crystal prism, the monochromator has produced a neutron beam with sub-arcsec collimation. A Bragg prism analyser with the opposite asymmetry has been tailored to accept a still sharper angular profile. With this optimized monochromator-analyser pair, we have attained the narrowest and sharpest neutron angular profile to date. At this facility, we have recorded the first SUSANS spectra spanning wave vector transfers Q ~ 10?6 Å?1 to characterize samples containing agglomerates up to tens of micrometres in size.  相似文献

推导并验证了非啁啾取样光纤布拉格光栅(SFBG)反射谱中反射峰值波长的表达式。基于种子光栅中心波长对应的折射率调制深度和取样光纤布拉格光栅折射率调制函数的傅里叶级数展开式,提炼出取样光纤布拉格光栅的折射率调制深度和各阶光栅周期,从而导出其反射峰值波长的表达式。由于考虑了占空比、取样周期等取样光纤布拉格光栅的结构参量,因而表达式能够描述反射峰的分布。仿真实验中,不同占空比或取样周期下计算出的反射峰值波长、信道间隔符合数值反射谱。该表达式既适用于均匀取样光纤布拉格光栅,也适用于交流切趾和交直流切趾取样光纤布拉格光栅。  相似文献

Elastic Reflection High Energy Electron Diffraction (RHEED) by solid surfaces is studied theoretically. First, the problem of finding the electron reflection and transmission coefficients of a crystal slab is formally solved. Following this, it is shown how the formal solution may be used in a practical computation of the diffracted beam intensities. These two results are applied to a study of high energy (20 keV) electron diffraction by the Ag(001) surface. Rocking curves are computed to illustrate the dependence of the reflection coefficients on the glancing angle of the incident beam, the incident beam azimuth being in the [110] direction. The curves are shown to have several features in common with a typical set of LEED I-V plots: primary Bragg peaks, secondary Bragg peaks and resonance peaks are all present. The dependence of the reflection coefficients on the deviation of the incident beam azimuth from the [110] direction is also described. Additional computations are made to illustrate the sensitivity of the RHEED pattern to the details of the surface structure: the relative heights of the peaks in the rocking curves are shown to be quite sensitive to the spacing of the topmost atomic layers.  相似文献

In recent years, gas electron multiplier (GEM) neutron detectors have been developing towards high spatial resolution and high dynamic counting range. We propose a novel concept of an Al stopping layer to enable the detector to achieve sub-millimeter (sub-mm) spatial resolution. The neutron conversion layer is coated with the Al stopping layer to limit the emission angle of ions into the drift region. The short track projection of ions is obtained on the signal readout board, and the detector would get good spatial resolution. The spatial resolutions of the GEM neutron detector with the Al stopping layer are simulated and optimized based on Geant4GarfieldInterface. The spatial resolution of the detector is 0.76 mm and the thermal neutron detection efficiency is about 0.01% when the Al stopping layer is 3.0 μ m thick, the drift region is 2 mm thick, the strip pitch is 600 μ m, and the digital readout is employed. Thus, the GEM neutron detector with a simple detector structure and a fast readout mode is developed to obtain a high spatial resolution and high dynamic counting range. It could be used for the direct measurement of a high-flux neutron beam, such as Bragg transmission imaging, very small-angle scattering neutron detection and neutron beam diagnostic.  相似文献

针对飞行器机载环境多参量综合测试需求,研究了一种基于反射光谱特征辨识的光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)气压与温度集成监测方法,给出了基于膜片式结构的双参量传感机理及其理论模型。采用基于耦合模理论的OptiGrating软件,得到不同气压与温度条件下光纤布拉格光栅传感器仿真反射光谱。在此基础上,借助弹塑性和恢复性能优良的平膜片感压机构,构建了膜片式双光纤气压/温度集成监测模型。研究表明,恒温条件下应变传感光纤光栅反射光谱随气压增加而逐渐向短波方向偏移,其中心波长灵敏度约为0.803 0 nm·MPa-1,且反射谱主峰及其旁瓣峰值均随气压变化呈现良好线性关系;当气压恒定而温度变化时,处于仅感温不受力状态的温度传感光纤光栅反射光谱中心波长灵敏度约为9.39 pm·℃-1;当气压与温度交叉变化时,能够实现对变温条件下的微小气压变化实时监测。传感光纤光栅受非均匀应变效应反射光谱存在一定啁啾现象,其反射光谱旁瓣峰值波长随环境温度、气压变化均会发生偏移,具有良好线性关系,且在不同气压下反射光谱对应的同一阶数旁瓣峰值幅度相等。该研究能够为航空航天器系统多物理参量在线综合测试提供有益帮助。  相似文献

用数值计算方法研究有密度凹坑的等离子体对P偏振入射光的吸收,结果表明,如果密度凹坑及其周围密度分布取得适当参数,吸收峰值可以达到近100%,即远超过线性密度等离子体共振吸收的峰值50%;吸收曲线随入射角变化呈现双峰值结构.密度凹坑就象个共振谐振腔,从腔内的透射光与第一个反射面的反射光干涉相消,使总反射光变弱,由此导致了大的吸收率.  相似文献

介绍了多碱光电阴极的光学性能和光谱反射率特性,测量了多碱阴极的光谱反射率曲线.该曲线与普通光学膜层光谱反射率曲线相比,形状较不规则,原因是多碱阴极膜层存在光吸收.光谱反射率曲线上的干涉峰是入射光在玻璃与阴极膜层界面反射和在阴极膜层与真空的界面反射的两束光发生干涉的结果.根据干涉的原理,如果阴极膜层所反射的两束光的光程差为二分之一波长的偶倍数时,光谱反射将出现干涉加强峰;如果阴极膜层所反射的两束光的光程差为二分之一波长的奇倍数时,光谱反射将出现干涉减弱峰.根据超二代像增强器光谱反射干涉峰对应的波长,可以计算出其阴极膜层的厚度约为191 nm,比二代像增强器阴极膜层的厚度增加了38%.多碱阴极膜层厚度是影响多碱阴极灵敏度的一个关键参量,仅仅靠人眼观察阴极膜层颜色的方法不准确.实践证明,利用光谱反射的方法来计算阴极膜层厚度的方法简单有效.如果在多碱阴极的制作过程中进行光谱反射率的监控,那么将可以精确控制阴极膜层的厚度,对多碱阴极的研究将会更加深入,多碱阴极的灵敏度也将会得到进一步的提升.  相似文献

GeSi/Si异质结布拉格反射光栅是硅基光电集成领域一种重要的集成光学器件,分析GeSi/Si异质结的传光特性和布拉格条件,通过求解布拉格光栅方程,得出耦合系数和耦合效率。利用上述原理设计出入射角为66°,波导层的厚度为2μm,光栅长度为4252μm,槽深为0.05μm,光栅周期为0.456μm,滤波带宽为0.214nm,耦合效率为84.1%的1.3μm Ge0.05Si0.95/Si异质结单模共面布拉格反射光栅,并用数值模拟了入射光波电场和反射光波电场的分布。  相似文献
