By combining the simplified shooting method with a sandwich method, the existence and nonexistence of two types of traveling wave solutions for a class of diffusive predator–prey systems with general functional response are investigated. These two types of point-to-point traveling waves include the connections of the zero equilibrium to the positive equilibrium and the boundary equilibrium to the positive equilibrium. Furthermore, we also give a discussion about the parameter threshold value whether any of the traveling waves approaches the positive equilibrium monotonically or has exponentially damped oscillations about the positive equilibrium. Some applications with different functional response functions are given to illustrate the application of our results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the time periodic traveling wave solutions for a periodic Lotka–Volterra predator–prey system, which formulates that both species synchronously invade a new habitat. We first establish the existence of periodic traveling wave solutions by combining the upper and lower solutions with contracting mapping principle and Schauder’s fixed point theorem. The asymptotic behavior of nontrivial solution is given precisely by the stability of the corresponding kinetic system that has been widely investigated. Then, the nonexistence of periodic traveling wave solutions is confirmed by applying the theory of asymptotic spreading. We show the conclusion for all positive wave speed and obtain the minimal wave speed.  相似文献

In this paper, a diffusive predator–prey system with a constant prey refuge and time delay subject to Neumann boundary condition is considered. Local stability and Turing instability of the positive equilibrium are studied. The effect of time delay on the model is also obtained, including locally asymptotical stability and existence of Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium. And the properties of Hopf bifurcation are determined by center manifold theorem and normal form theorem of partial functional differential equations. Some numerical simulations are carried out.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a diffusive predator–prey system with modified Holling–Tanner functional response under homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. The qualitative properties, including the global attractor, persistence property, local and global asymptotic stability of the unique positive constant equilibrium are obtained. We also establish the existence and nonexistence of nonconstant positive steady states of this reaction–diffusion system, which indicates the effect of large diffusivity.  相似文献

In this paper, a diffusive predator–prey system with Holling III functional response and nonconstant death rate subject to Neumann boundary condition is considered. We study the stability of equilibria, and Turing instability of the positive equilibrium. We also perform a detailed Hopf bifurcation analysis to PDE system, and derive conditions for determining the bifurcation direction and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solution. In addition, some numerical simulations are carried out.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a diffusive Holling–Tanner predator–prey model subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. By choosing the ratio of intrinsic growth rates of predator to prey λ as the bifurcation parameter, we find that spatially homogeneous and non-homogeneous Hopf bifurcation occur at the positive constant steady state as λ varies. The steady state bifurcation of simple and double eigenvalues are intensively investigated. The techniques of space decomposition and the implicit function theorem are adopted to deal with the case of double eigenvalues. Our results show that this model can exhibit spatially non-homogeneous periodic and stationary patterns induced by the parameter λ. Numerical simulations are presented to illustrate our theoretical results.  相似文献

We give a geometric analysis of relaxation oscillations and canard cycles in a singularly perturbed predator–prey system of Holling and Leslie types. We discuss how the canard cycles are found near the Hopf bifurcation points. The transition from small Hopf-type cycles to large relaxation cycles is also discussed. Moreover, we outline one possibility for the global dynamics. Numerical simulations are also carried out to verify the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a delayed predator–prey system with diffusion effect. First, the stability of the positive equilibrium and the existence of spatially homogeneous and spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions are investigated by analyzing the distribution of the eigenvalues. Next the direction and the stability of Hopf bifurcation are determined by the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction for partial functional differential equations. Finally, some numerical simulations are carried out for illustrating the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper considers a diffusive predator–prey model, in which there is a ratio-dependent functional response with Holling III type. We establish some sufficient conditions for the ultimate boundedness of solutions and permanence of this system. The existence of a unique globally stable periodic solution is also presented.  相似文献

A diffusive predator–prey system with Ivlev-type scheme is investigated in this article. The existences of a small amplitude periodic traveling wave train ΓpΓp and the traveling wave solution connecting the boundary equilibrium Eu(1,0)Eu(1,0) to the periodic traveling wave ΓpΓp are obtained. The existence of this point-to-periodic solution reveals that the predator invasion leads to the periodic population densities in the coexistence domain, and thus plays a mild role in the evolution of predator–prey communities. The techniques used here are the Hopf bifurcation theorem, the improved shooting method combining with the geometric singular perturbation method.  相似文献

In this paper we study a reaction–diffusion–advection predator–prey model in a river. The existence of predator-invasion traveling wave solutions and prey-spread traveling wave solutions in the upstream and downstream directions is established and the corresponding minimal wave speeds are obtained. While some crucial improvements in theoretical methods have been established, the proofs of the existence and nonexistence of such traveling waves are based on Schauder’s fixed-point theorem, LaSalle’s invariance principle and Laplace transform. Based on theoretical results, we investigate the effect of the hydrological and biological factors on minimal wave speeds and hence on the spread of the prey and the invasion of the predator in the river. The linear determinacy of the predator–prey Lotka–Volterra system is compared with nonlinear determinacy of the competitive Lotka–Volterra system to investigate the mechanics of linear and nonlinear determinacy.  相似文献

In this work we examine a Lotka–Volterra model with diffusion describing the dynamics of multiple interacting prey and predator species. We show that the solution exists, and is unique, bounded, nonnegative, and globally defined. We also prove the non-existence of nonconstant steady state solutions if certain conditions are satisfied. For the particular case of two prey (e.g., engineered and native, respectively) and one common predator species, by performing a linear stability analysis about the initial native-dominant steady state, we determine under which conditions the engineered species invasion succeeds.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to investigation of Holling type II predator–prey systems with prey refuges and predator restricts. Using a transformation technique, we change the system into a generalized Liénard system and give sufficient conditions to ensure the global stability of the positive equilibrium and existence and uniqueness of a stable limit cycle. We also find the property of alternation for phase structure of the system.  相似文献

A reaction–diffusion predator–prey system with strong Allee effect and a protection zone for the prey is considered. Dynamics and steady state solutions of the system are analyzed. In particular it is shown that the overexploitation phenomenon can be avoided if the Allee effect threshold is low and the protection zone is large.  相似文献

We study a predator–prey model with two alien predators and one aborigine prey in which the net growth rates of both predators are negative. We characterize the invading speed of these two predators by the minimal wave speed of traveling wave solutions connecting the predator-free state to the co-existence state. The proof of the existence of traveling waves is based on a standard method by constructing (generalized) upper-lower-solutions with the help of Schauder’s fixed point theorem. However, in this three species model, we are able to construct some suitable pairs of upper-lower-solutions not only for the super-critical speeds but also for the critical speed. Moreover, a new form of shrinking rectangles is introduced to derive the right-hand tail limit of wave profile.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence of traveling wave solutions of a delayed predator–prey system with stage structure and nonlocal diffusion. By introducing the partial quasi-monotone condition and cross-iteration scheme, we first consider a class of delayed systems with nonlocal diffusion and deduce the existence of traveling wave solutions to the existence of a pair of upper–lower solutions. When the result is applied to the predator–prey system, we establish the existence of traveling wave solutions, as well as its precisely asymptotic behavior. Our result implies that there is a transition zone moving from the steady state with no species to the steady state with the coexistence of both species.  相似文献
