Liquid-liquid cloud point diagrams of solutions of nearly monodisperse samples of polystyrene (PS), and binary mixtures of nearly monodisperse PS’s, both in methylcyclohexane (MCH), were determined for several polymer molecular weights (Mw) at 0.1 MPa. The bimodal mixtures (PS[Mw(1),ρ(1)] + PS[Mw(2),ρ(2)], Mw(1)=90×103 g/mol, Mw(2)=13×103 g/mol, 5.78 × 103 g/mol, and 2.2 × 103 g/mol, ρ=1.06) were prepared constraining 〈Mw〉=38.6×103 g/mol, ρ=Mw/Mn is the polydispersity index. In each case the cloud point curves (CPC’s) for the bimodal mixtures are strongly skewed, lying well above CPC for 〈Mw〉 when φ<φCRITICAL, and below CPC for 〈Mw〉 when φ>φCRITICAL; φ is volume fraction polymer in the polymer/solvent mixture. The experimental results are discussed in the context of empirical and mean-field representations.  相似文献

The chemical polymerization of aniline was carried out in media containing different linear dicarboxylic acids with the use of oxidants such as K2Cr2O7, KMnO4, K2S2O8, KIO3 and FeCl3. The highest yield and the conductivity were observed with K2Cr2O7. The yield and the conductivity of the polyaniline (PAn) synthesized were observed to decrease in the order of oxalic acid > malonic acid > succinic acid > glutaric acid > adipic acid > phthalic acid. The solubility tests carried out in solvents such as DMF, DMSO and NMP showed that the larger the dopant molecule, the higher is the solubility of polyaniline. The PAn synthesized was characterized by measurements of conductivity, intrinsic viscosity, density and FTIR, UV-VIS and TGA techniques.  相似文献

Nine active ester monomers based on 4-vinylbenzoic acid have been synthesized. Under free radical polymerization conditions these monomers could successfully be polymerized yielding reactive polymers with molecular weights of around Mn = 20.000-50.000 g/mol and molecular weight distributions Mw/Mn of around or below 2 in good yields. Polymer analogous reactions with amines have been investigated by time-resolved FT-IR spectroscopy and it was found that especially poly(pentafluorophenyl 4-vinylbenzoate) featured a significant reactivity, such that polymer analogous reactions proceeded quantitatively with amines within less than 5 min at 0 °C.  相似文献

Hyperbranched-linear star block copolymers, hyperbranched poly(siloxysilane)-block-polystyrene (HBPS-b-PSt), were prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of styrene in xylene, using bromoester-terminated HBPS (HBPS-Br (P3), Mn = 7500, Mw/Mn = 1.76) as a macroinitiator. The number-average molecular weights of the obtained polymers (Mn) were in the range of 21,800-60,000 and molecular weight distributions were unimodal throughout the reaction (Mw/Mn = 1.28-1.40). These polymers showed 5 wt.% decomposition temperature (Td5) over 300 °C. The DSC thermograms of the resulting polymers indicated two glass transition temperatures (Tg). The Tg of HBPS segment shifted to higher value while the Tg of PSt segment shifted to lower value compared with those of the homopolymers. Preliminary physical characterization related to the solution viscosity of the resulting block copolymers is also reported.  相似文献

The cosmetic market for hyaluronic acid (HA)-based dermal fillers is in continuous and rapid growth and, simultaneously, the development of more effective and safer products is strongly intensifying. In order to highlight the differences among the currently available fillers, in terms of their physical characteristics and on the relation of such properties with product effectiveness, an in vitro evaluation of eight marketed HA-based gels was performed.Filler swelling properties, soluble HA fraction and rheological behaviour were investigated. Furthermore the relative stability to enzymatic hydrolysis was tested. The presence of soluble HA in the formulations varied from 7 ± 1(%) to 33 ± 5(%) with respect to the total HA concentration. Chromatographic analyses showed that the soluble fractions consist of low molecular weight chains (Mw: 260-480 kDa) presenting large distributions (Mw/Mn: 1.6-2.5). The investigated fillers were found to be non-equilibrium gels in their commercial formulation also showing different swelling capacities. Rheological measurements indicated a shear thinning behaviour for all the products and elastic modulus values varied over a wide range (100-1800 Pa). Fillers proved differently sensitive to enzymatic degradation. Swelling capacity and enzymatic stability were found consistently dependent on the total HA concentration, insoluble/soluble HA ratio and on the crosslinking extent.  相似文献

Dissolution rates of NiO, CoO, ZnO, α-Fe2O3 and the corresponding ferrites in 0.1 mol dm−3 oxalic acid at pH 3.5 were measured at 70 °C. The dissolution of simple oxides proceeds through the formation of surface metal oxalate complexes, followed by the transfer of surface complexes (rate-determining step). At constant pH, oxalate concentration and temperature, the trend in the first-order rate constant for the transfer of the surface complexes (kMe; Me=Ni, Co, Zn, Fe) parallels that of water exchange in the dissolved metal ions (k−w). Thus, the most important factor determining the rates of dissolution of metal oxides is the lability of Me-O bonds, which is in turn defined by the electronic structure of the metal ion and its charge/radius ratio. UV (384 nm) irradiation does not increase significantly the dissolution rates of NiO, CoO and ZnO, whereas hematite is highly sensitive to UV light. For ferrites, the reactivity order is ZnFe2O4>CoFe2O4?NiFe2O4. Dissolution is congruent, with rates intermediate between those of the constituent oxides, Fe2O3 and MO (M=Co, Ni, Zn), reflecting the behavior of very thin leached layers with little Zn and Co, but appreciable amounts of Ni. The more robust Ni2+ labilizes less the corresponding ferrite. The correlation between log kM and log k−w is somewhat blurred and displaced to lower kM values. Fe(II), either photogenerated or added as salt, enhances the rate of Fe(III) phase transfer. A simple reaction mechanism is used to interpret the data.  相似文献

Different ultrasonic devices including ultrasonic bath with dual frequency, sonoreactor and ultrasonic probe, were tested for their viability in the sample treatment for polymer characterization by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry analysis. The effect of sonication frequency (35 kHz, 40 kHz and 130 kHz), sonication amplitude, and sonication time on the polymer's number-average molecular weight (Mn) and weight-average molecular weight (Mw) were investigated. The effect of those variables in the molecular mass distribution of three polymer standards, poly(styrene) 2000 Da and 10,000 Da and poly(ethylene glycol) 1000 Da, was evaluated. In addition, the influence of ultrasonic energy on the sample treatment as a function of the matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI) matrix was also studied through two common standard matrices, dithranol and 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid. The results obtained show that the ultrasonic bath at 35 kHz is the best option for the purpose of fast sample treatment for polymer characterization. The Mn and Mw values obtained for this ultrasonic device and for the three polymers tested using dithranol as MALDI matrix, were not statistically different from the ones acquired with vortex mixing and also were in concordance with the values recommended by the polymer manufacturers.  相似文献

Photochemical and anionic polymerizations of 1,2-diaza-1,3-butadienes are described. Photochemical polymerization was smoothly performed by irradiation of some 1-aminocarbonyl-1,2-diaza-1,3-butadienes with high pressure mercury arc (λ = 300 nm) in the presence of allyltributylstannane. Molecular weights (Mw) in the range 14.6-559 × 102 g/mol were obtained. The TGA curve revealed a first weight loss starting at about 200 °C of some 85%, and a second starting at about 300 °C. The DSC showed the glass transition (Tg) at about −34 °C. Anionic polymerization was performed by treatment of some 1-alkoxycarbonyl-1,2-diaza-1,3-butadienes with n-butyllithium. Molecular weights (Mw) in the range 8.44-242 × 102 g/mol were obtained.  相似文献

A series of new p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arenes with o-, m-, p-amido and o-, m-, p-(amidomethyl)pyridine substituents at the lower rim in cone, partial cone, and 1,3-alternate conformations were synthesized. The ability of the obtained compounds to recognize the α-hydroxy (glycolic, tartaric) and dicarboxylic (oxalic, malonic, succinic, fumaric, and maleic) acids was investigated by UV-vis spectroscopy. Also, the efficiency and selectivity of binding, the association constants log Ka (102 to 107 M−1) and the stoichiometry were determined for the complexes of p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arenes with the acids. The receptors based on p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arenes with (amidomethyl)pyridine substitutes are most efficient in complexation in many cases.  相似文献

Hydrogen peroxide oxidation of cyclohexane in acetonitrile solution catalyzed by the dinuclear manganese(IV) complex [LMn(O)3MnL](PF6)2 (L=1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane, TMTACN) at 25 °C in the presence of a carboxylic acid affords cyclohexyl hydroperoxide as well as cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol. A kinetic study of the reactions with participation of three acids (acetic acid, oxalic acid, and pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid, 2,3-PDCA) led to the following general scheme. In the first stage, the catalyst precursor forms an adduct. The equilibrium constants K1 calculated for acetic acid, oxalic acid, and 2,3-PDCA were 127±8, (7±2)×104, and 1250±50 M−1, respectively. The same kinetic scheme was applied for the cyclohexanol oxidation catalyzed by the complex in the presence of oxalic acid. The oxidation of cyclohexane in water solution using oxalic acid as a co-catalyst gave cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone, which were rapidly transformed into a mixture of over-oxidation products. In the oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone, varying the concentrations of the reactants and the reaction time we were able to find optimal conditions and to obtain the cyclohexanone in 94% yield based on the starting cyclohexanol. Oxidation of acetone to acetic acid by the system containing oxalic acid was also studied.  相似文献

Critical overview of literature data on the glass transition temperature Tg of poly(4-vinylphenol) PVPh revealed a large scatter of values ranging between 53 and 194 °C, which can only partially be attributed to molecular-mass effect. The reason could be seen in residual moisture and/or solvent in samples subjected to insufficient or even no drying. Based on selected two thirds of literature data, a regression equation is proposed for the dependence of Tg on 1/Mn. Two samples of commercial PVPh (Mn 11,500; Mw 22,100) and (Mn 19,700; Mw 40,900) were studied by DSC, ATR-FTIR, and SEC methods. A procedure of preparing well defined samples is proposed: PVPh vacuum-dried at 140 °C for 24 h is dissolved in tetrahydrofuran and precipitated in hexane. The precipitate is vacuum-dried at 40 °C for 24 h, weighed into a pierced DSC pan. After final vacuum drying at 140 °C for 24 h, the sample is analyzed. The PVPh samples treated in this way showed Tg of 175.0 °C and 179.6 °C, respectively.  相似文献

The reductive dimerization or polymerization of organochlorosilanes has been achieved by using the low-valent titanium reducing agent other than the alkali metals that are invariable used in the Wurtz-type coupling reaction. Applying this method, the corresponding disilanes or poly(methylvinylsilane) was obtained in good yields. The poly(methylvinylsilane) synthesized by this method is highly pure with a high molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn = 1.6, Mn = 16,860).  相似文献

A series of nickel complexes with β-ketoiminato ligands based on pyrazolone derivative were synthesized and characterized, which are highly active catalyst precursors for norbornene polymerization under mild reaction conditions through a vinyl-type polymerization mechanism. The catalytic activity could be up to 3.38 × 107 g polymer/mol Ni h. The molecular weight distributions of the polynorbornenes (Mw/Mn = 2.05-2.56) indicate the presence of a single active species in the polymerization process.  相似文献

Branched polyisoprene (PI) was prepared from PI-macromonomers. Linear byproducts of the synthesized polymer were removed by means of inverse spin fractionation, using the solvent cyclohexane (CH) and the precipitant acetone (AC). A well-defined fraction (Mw = 17.5 kg/mol, Mw/Mn = 1.8) of the branched polyisoprene obtained in this manner was used to determine different phase diagrams with branched and/or linear PI in the mixed solvent CH/AC at 25 °C. For comparable molar masses of the polymers the two-phase area is smallest for the branched PI and slightly larger for the linear PI; in the case of the unfractionated original sample of the branched polymer one observes a pronounced peninsula of immiscibility extending into the region of high CH concentrations. This feature is attributed to a large miscibility gap between the branched and the linear polymer, which was studied in more detail for the ternary system CH/branched PI/linear PI.  相似文献

A new fluorescent imidazolium-based cholestane receptor 4 bearing a pyrene moiety was synthesized. The binding ability of 4 toward various dicarboxylic acids was examined by UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Receptor 4 showed the highest binding constant for oxalic acid among all the tested dicarboxylic acids (Ka = 5.06 × 104 M−1). Oxalic acid formed a complex with 4 with a 1:2 ratio in ethanol.  相似文献

The use of asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation (AsFlFFF) in the study of heat-induced aggregation of proteins is demonstrated with bovine serum albumin (BSA) as a model analyte. The hydrodynamic diameter (dh), the molar mass of heat-induced aggregates, and the radius of gyration (Rg) were calculated in order to get more detailed understanding of the conformational changes of BSA upon heating. The hydrodynamic diameter of native BSA at ambient temperature was ∼7 nm. The particle size was relatively stable up to 60 °C; above 63 °C, however, BSA underwent aggregation (growth of hydrodynamic diameter). The hydrodynamic diameters of the aggregated particles, heated to 80 °C, ranged from 15 to 149 nm depending on the BSA concentration, duration of incubation, and the ionic strength of the solvent. Heating of BSA in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (1.7 or 17 mM) did not lead to aggregation. The heat-induced aggregates were characterized in terms of their molar mass and particle size together with their respective distributions with a hyphenated technique consisting of an asymmetrical field-flow fractionation device and a multi-angle light scattering detector and a UV-detector. The carrier solution comprised 8.5 mM phosphate and 150 mM sodium chloride at pH 7.4. The weight-average molar mass (Mw) of native BSA at ambient temperature is 6.6 × 104 g mol−1. Incubation of solutions with BSA concentrations of 1.0 and 2.5 mg mL−1 at 80 °C for 1 h resulted in aggregates with Mw 1.2 × 106 and 1.9 × 106 g mol−1, respectively. The average radius of gyration and the average hydrodynamic radius of the heat-induced aggregate samples were calculated and compared to the values obtained from the size distributions measured by AsFlFFF. For comparison static light scattering measurements were carried out and the corresponding average molar mass distributions of solutions with BSA concentrations of 1.0 and 2.5 mg mL−1 at 80 °C for 1 h gave aggregates with Mw 1.7 × 106 and 3.5 × 106 g mol−1, respectively.  相似文献

Three new supramolecular assemblies of co-crystallized metal complexes and aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, {[Cu(pic)2(H2O)2](H2mal)}n (1), {[Cu(pic)2(H2O)2](H2mal)2(H2O)2}n (2) and {[Cu(pic)2(MeOH)](H2succ)}n (3) {Hpic = 2-picolinic acid, H2mal = malonic acid and H2succ = succinic acid} have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single-crystal structure determination. The crystal packings of the complexes reveal that supramolecular associations of the monomeric complex units lead to the formation of layers through hydrogen bonding. In all the complexes, the dicarboxylic acid units connect the 2-D layers to act as pillars. The interaction between water molecules and the dicarboxylic acid plays an important role in the overall supramolecular assembly.  相似文献

Poly 2,6-[1,5-bis(dodecyloxy)naphthylene vinylene] is synthesized by microwave-assisted McMurry polymerization utilizing low-valent titanium generated from titanium tetrachloride and zinc. The obtained polymer is fluorescent with an average molecular weight of approximately 65,000 g/mol and a polydispersity of Mw/Mn ≈ 3. Absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy in solution and on spin-cast thin films reveal that the bis-alkoxy substituted PNV has a short effective conjugation length but a quite efficient exciton migration.  相似文献

The different rheological behaviour of natural rubber (NR) compared to industrial synthetic poly(cis-1,4-isoprene) (SR) has been attributed to the gel phase and long-chain branching. Previous studies on branching in NR were carried out using the fractionation technique by precipitation to obtain narrow molar mass distribution. In this study, chain branching of poly(cis-1,4-isoprene) in NR was characterised by size-exclusion chromatography coupled with an online multi-angle light scattering detector (SEC-MALS). The nanoaggregates adsorbed on the column packing interfered with branching characterisation for short and medium chains (Mw < 1000 kg/mol). Using a master curve of linear standard poly(cis-1,4-isoprenes), SEC-MALS revealed no or very little branching in the higher chains (1000 < Mw < 10,000 kg/mol) of natural rubber contrary to previous studies. This study showed that the soluble portion of NR samples was composed of almost linear poly(cis-1,4-isoprene) and nanoaggregates with rather compact structures.  相似文献

Fructose was converted to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), an important biomass-derived platform chemical, under mild conditions (100–130 °C) with several organic acids including p-toluene sulfonic (pTSA), oxalic, maleic, malonic and succinic acids as the catalysts. The process kinetics was compared considering fructose dehydration to HMF as the objective reaction and condensation of fructose and HMF to humin and rehydration of HMF as the main side reactions. DMSO was found to be the most effective solvent reaction medium to obtain high fructose conversion and HMF yield. Observed kinetic modeling illustrated that the rehydration and condensation of HMF in DMSO actually could be neglected, especially for the oxalic acid catalyzed system. The determined observed activation energy for fructose conversion to HMF and humin in DMSO medium was 33.75 and 24.94 kJ/mol for pTSA catalyzed system, and 96.51 and 78.39 kJ/mol for oxalic acid-catalyzed system, respectively. HMF yields of 90.2% and 84.1% were obtained for pTSA and oxalic acid catalyzed systems, respectively.  相似文献
