Generalized Bicyclic Semigroups and Jones Semigroups

In this paper, we consider the generalized bicyclic semigroups B_n = a, b | aⁿb = 1 and the Jones semigroups A_n = a, b | aⁿ⁺¹b = a. They are the generalizations of the bicyclic semigroup B = a, b | ab = 1 and its analogous semigroup A = a, b | a²b = a discovered by P.R., Jones in 1987. The word problem for these kinds of semigroups is solved. It is proved that, for n 2, B_n are bisimple right inverse but not inverse semigroups and that the semigroup C = a, b | a²b = a, ab² = b is the smallest idempotent-free homomorphic image of A_n. Moreover, we also prove that A_n and A_m are mutually embeddable but not isomorphic with each other if n m. Regularity and Unit-regularity of Generalized Semigroups of Linear Transformations

Let V and W be vector spaces over a division ring D and L_D (V, W) the set of all linear transformations from V into W. For L_D(W, V), let (L_D (V, W), ) denote the semigroup L_D (V, W) with the operation * defined by * = for all , L_D(V, W). By a unit-regular semigroup we mean a semigroup S with identity having the property that for each a S, a = aua for some unit u S. The main purpose of this paper is to prove the following statements. The semigroup (L_D(V, W), ) is regular if and only if V = {0}, W = {0} or is an isomorphism from W onto V. The semigroup (L_D (V, W), ) is unit-regular if and only if (i) V = {0}, (ii) W = {0} or (iii) is an isomorphism from W onto V and dim_D V .     

半群的子半群上的同余扩张(英)

Perturbations of Generalized Mehler Semigroups and Applications to Stochastic Heat Equations with Levy Noise and Singular Drift

In this paper we solve the Kolmogorov equation and, as a consequence, the martingale problem corresponding to a stochastic differential equation of type dX _t =AX _t dt+b(X _t )dt+dY _t , on a Hilbert space E, where (Y _t ) _t0 is a Levy process on E,A generates a C ₀-semigroup on E and b:EE. Our main point is to allow unbounded A and also singular (in particular, non-continuous) b. Our approach is based on perturbation theory of C ₀-semigroups, which we apply to generalized Mehler semigroups considered on L ²(), where is their respective invariant measure. We apply our results, in particular, to stochastic heat equations with Levy noise and singular drift.     

Generalized Mehler Semigroups: The Non-Gaussian Case

We study generalized Mehler semigroups, introduced in [7], with special emphasis on the non-Gaussian case. We review and simplify the method of construction. In the general (non-Gaussian) case we construct an associated cadlag Markov process in an appropriate state space obtained as a solution of a stochastic equation which can be solved by . We also show tightness of the associated (r, p)-capacities. Invariant measures, time regularity and a definition of the generator are also studied.
