This article gives an analysis of topological and homological properties for loop spaces of configuration spaces. The main topological results are given by certain choices of product decompositions of these spaces, as well as ``twistings" between the factors. The main homological results are given in terms of extensions of the ``infinitesimal braid relations" or ``universal Yang-Baxter Lie relations".

In this paper configuration spaces of smooth manifolds are considered. The accent is made on actions of certain groups (mostly p-tori) on this spaces by permuting their points. For such spaces the cohomological index, the genus in the sense of Krasnosel'skii-Schwarz, and the equivariant Lyusternik-Schnirelmann category are estimated from below, and some corollaries for functions on configuration spaces are deduced.  相似文献

We present a counterexample to the conjecture on the homotopy invariance of configuration spaces. More precisely, we consider the lens spaces L7,1 and L7,2, and prove that their configuration spaces are not homotopy equivalent by showing that their universal coverings have different Massey products.  相似文献

We study the homotopy type of mapping spaces from Riemann surfaces to spheres. Our main result is a stable splitting of these spaces into a bouquet of new finite spectra. From this and classical results, one may deduce splittings of the configuration spaces of surfaces.  相似文献

We show that nontrivial topological and geometric information about configuration spaces of linkages and tensegrities can be obtained using the signature formulas for the mapping degree and Euler characteristic. In particular, we prove that the Euler characteristics of such configuration spaces can be effectively calculated using signature formulas. We also investigate the critical points of signed area function on the configuration space of a planar polygon. We show that our approach enables one to effectively count the critical points in question and discuss a few related problems. One of them is concerned with the so-called cyclic polygons and formulas of Brahmagupta type. We describe an effective method of counting cyclic configurations of a given polygon and formulate four general conjectures about the critical points of the signed area function on the configuration space of a generic planar polygon. Several concrete results for planar quadrilaterals and pentagons are also presented. We present new definitions for and give a comprehensive treatment of the canonical compactification of configuration spaces due to Fulton–MacPherson and Axelrod–Singer in the setting of smooth manifolds, as well as a simplicial variant of this compactification initiated by Kontsevich. Our constructions are elementary and give simple global coordinates for the compactified configuration space of a general manifold embedded in Euclidean space. We stratify the canonical compactification, identifying the difieomorphism types of the strata in terms of spaces of configurations in the tangent bundle, and give completely explicit local coordinates around the strata as needed to define a manifold with corners. We analyze the quotient map from the canonical to the simplicial compactification, showing it is a homotopy equivalence. Using global coordinates we define projection maps and diagonal maps, which for the simplicial variant satisfy cosimplicial identities.  相似文献

We obtain Feynman formulas in the momentum space and Feynman-Kac formulas in the momentum and phase spaces for a p-adic analog of the heat equation in which the role of the Laplace operator is played by the Vladimirov operator. We also present the Feynman and Feynman-Kac formulas in the configuration space that have been proved in our previous papers under additional constraints. In all these formulas, integration is performed with respect to countably additive measures. The technique developed in the paper is fundamentally different from that used by the authors when studying path integrals in configuration spaces. In particular, the paper extensively uses the infinite-dimensional Fourier transform.  相似文献

We describe Taylor towers for spaces of knots arising from Goodwillie-Weiss calculus of the embedding functor and extend the configuration space integrals of Bott and Taubes from spaces of knots to the stages of the towers. We show that certain combinations of integrals, indexed by trivalent diagrams, yield cohomology classes of the stages of the tower, just as they do for ordinary knots.  相似文献

In this article,we investigate the orbit configuration spaces of some equivariant closed manifolds over simple convex polytopes in toric topology,such as small covers,quasi-toric manifolds and(real)moment-angle manifolds;especially for the cases of small covers and quasi-toric manifolds.These kinds of orbit configuration spaces have non-free group actions,and they are all noncompact,but still built via simple convex polytopes.We obtain an explicit formula of the Euler characteristic for orbit configuration spaces of small covers and quasi-toric manifolds in terms of the h-vector of a simple convex polytope.As a by-product of our method,we also obtain a formula of the Euler characteristic for the classical configuration space,which generalizes the Félix-Thomas formula.In addition,we also study the homotopy type of such orbit configuration spaces.In particular,we determine an equivariant strong deformation retraction of the orbit configuration space of 2 distinct orbit-points in a small cover or a quasi-toric manifold,which allows to further study the algebraic topology of such an orbit configuration space by using the Mayer-Vietoris spectral sequence.  相似文献

Motivated by the work in Li et al.(2019), this paper deals with the theory of the braids from chromatic configuration spaces. These kinds of braids possess the property that some strings of each braid may intersect together and can also be untangled, so they are quite different from the ordinary braids in the sense of Artin(1925). We consider the real interpolation method and prove that for local Morrey spaces, in the case when they have the same integrability parameter, the interpolation spaces are again local Morrey-type spaces with appropriately chosen parameters. Thus, in contrast to the standard Morrey-type spaces, these local spaces form an interpolation scale. In particular, this is true in the so-called nondiagonal case.  相似文献

The main goal of the paper is to make connections between two well-known, but, up to now, independently developed theories: the theory of violator spaces and the theory of closure spaces. Violator spaces were introduced by Matoušek et al. in 2008 as generalization of linear programming problems. The notion of closure arises in many disciplines, including topology, algebra, convexity analysis, logic etc. In this work, we investigate interrelations between violator spaces and closure spaces. We show that a violator mapping may be defined by a weak version of a closure operator. Interrelations between violator spaces and closure spaces give new insights on a number of well known findings. For example, we prove that violator spaces with a unique basis satisfy both the anti-exchange and the Krein–Milman properties.Finally, based on subsequent relaxations of the closure operator notion we introduce convex spaces as a generalization of violator spaces.  相似文献
