在实验上对双包层光纤放大器进行了研究。采用新型内包层为六边形的铒镱共掺双包层光纤作为放大介质,用带尾纤的半导体激光器进行泵浦,对fs光脉冲进行放大。当用2.5 W的入纤功率泵浦50 cm长的双包层铒镱光纤时,把平均功率为10.8 mW、重复频率20.84 MHz的激光放大到176 mW,增益为12.2 dB,相应的单脉冲能量为8.1 nJ,放大后脉冲宽度为480 fs,峰值功率为16 kW。  相似文献

We report on a high power fiber amplifier tandem pumped by an industrial style thin-disk laser. An output power of 1 kW and a very good slope efficiency of 73% have been obtained for a state-of-the-art photonic crystal fiber originally designed for short-pulse amplification. We also compare this result to an experiment, where a power of 2.9 kW could be obtained from a step-index large-mode-area fiber with the same slope efficiency.  相似文献

在MCVD车床上利用“湿法”掺杂方法研制出纤芯高掺Ge的石英基掺Tm3+光纤预制棒,采用侧面研磨和抛光工艺制成横截面为正六边形的光纤预制棒.经拉丝,内层涂覆低折射率材料后制成包层抽运光纤.测试其吸收谱,并对光纤参数进行优化.通过在光纤两端紫外写入光纤Bragg光栅,制成线形光学谐振腔,在工作波长793nm的激光抽运下,获得工作波长1947.1031nm、功率2.05W的激光输出.由此证明这种光纤具有优异的光学特性. 关键词: 3+光纤')" href="#">石英基掺Tm3+光纤 光纤Bragg光栅 包层抽运 光纤激光器  相似文献

We present a high-power ytterbium fiber amplifier based on active tapered double-clad fiber (T-DCF) and capable of high single-pass gain. The T-DCF power amplifier seeded with a 320 mW narrow-band signal generates up to 110 W of average output power corresponding to more than 25 dB gain. The amplifier exhibits near-diffraction-limited beam quality (M 2 = 1.06) at the highest output power, which was limited by the available pump power. With a broadband seed source, the amplifier produced a gain of nearly 40 dB obtained for low-signal limit of the seed. The high output power combined with high gain is achieved owing to amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) filtering and increased stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) threshold inherent to the axially non-uniform geometry. The amplifier operates efficiently with a wide range of input seed powers thus providing the basis for one-stage tapered amplifier which combines the functions of preamplifier and power amplifier and can be a competitive alternative to multi-stage design.  相似文献

在高功率光纤激光系统中,包层光滤除器能将光纤中包层光滤除以保证输出激光光束质量,光纤端帽通过对输出激光扩束降低输出光纤端面的光功率密度,从而保护光纤端面不受损坏,两者都是高功率光纤激光系统稳定运行的重要核心器件。将包层光滤除器和光纤端帽进行一体化设计,制备了一体化高功率光纤包层光滤除器和光纤端帽并分别应用于20 kW合束系统和单纤系统中,输出功率达到20 kW时,端帽的最高温度约为40℃,温升速率约为0.8℃/kW。  相似文献

The numerical study on the performance of large-mode-area (LMA) fibers coiled onto a spool in high power amplifier is carried out as the bend-induced distortion of fiber modes severely affects the output characteristics of amplifier systems. The variations for high-order mode bend distortion with different orientations relative to the plane of the fiber bend are observed and shown. Concerning the practical applications, a bend-resistant LMA fiber with the mode area larger than 1000 μm^2 and excellent highorder mode suppression is designed completely by optimizing the refractive index (RI) and dopant profile. The results indicate that a hybrid profile of RI and dopant is the best choice for LMA fiber with coiling.  相似文献

A highly efficient fiber-optic parametric amplifier (FOPA) is presented. A nearly complete pump depletion of 99.92% in a single-pumped FOPA is experimentally demonstrated with a pump power of 1W. In addition, a high signal output power of 0.53W is presented, corresponding to a power conversion efficiency of 53%, which is believed to be the highest efficiency ever reported for an FOPA.  相似文献

高功率光纤端帽是kW级光纤激光器必不可少的器件,而实现光纤端帽的低损耗高强度熔接是其关键技术。由于光纤和大尺寸光纤端帽在直径上的巨大差异,二者的熔接不能通过传统熔接机实现。设计并搭建了光纤端帽熔接系统,掌握了多种尺寸的光纤端帽的熔接工艺,成功用于光纤激光器及光纤合束器的高功率输出。实验上利用单模光端帽实现了3.01 kW的激光输出,在未进行主动制冷的情况下温升为7 ℃/kW。利用多模光纤端帽实现了6.08 kW的激光输出,在未进行主动制冷的情况下温升为6 ℃/kW。  相似文献

高功率单频激光在激光雷达、光谱学、精密测量等领域具有广阔的应用前景.采用中心波长为1064 nm、光谱线宽为20 kHz、偏振消光比(PER)高于20 dB的单频线偏振分布式反馈光纤激光器做种子源(尾纤输出功率约为10 mW),利用种子注入主振荡功率光纤放大技术,通过两级级联放大实现了128 W高功率单频、线偏振、近衍射极限单模连续激光输出.主放大器光-光效率达到83%,PER高于12 dB.采用分段温控技术有效地提高了光纤中的受激布里渊散射(SBS)阈值,实验中未观察到明显的放大自发辐射和SBS现象,进 关键词: 掺Yb光纤放大器 主振荡功率光纤放大 单频 线偏振  相似文献

We report for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, on a large mode area Er-doped photonic crystal fiber laser system. The fiber core had a diameter of 40 μm and NA of <0.04 leading to a mode field diameter of about 31 μm around 1550 nm wavelength. More than 70 W of single-frequency output power at 1556 nm could be extracted using a master-oscillator power-amplifier scheme. Near diffraction limited output beam quality has been verified by measuring the TEM(00) content with a nonconfocal scanning ring cavity.  相似文献

We present the experimental results of a 1083 nm fiber amplifier tandem pumped by 1030 nm fiber laser. The output characteristics of the tandem pumped amplifier with cladding-pump and core-pump schemes are both investigated. The 1083 nm signal laser has not been efficiently amplified when cladding-pumped by 1030 nm laser for the weak absorption of the gain fiber. The core-pump scheme works well with the amplifier. The output properties with different gain fiber length are experimentally investigated. The maximum output power is 2.4 W with power conversion efficiency of 60%.  相似文献

By solving a set of time-dependent equations, the characteristics of the ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber amplifier are presented. Besides the steady state in the fiber of the upper-state population, pump power and amplified spontaneous emission without the input signal, the dynamic characteristics of the high power Gaussian pulse amplification like the evolution of pulse waveform distortion, upper-state population distribution and stored energy and pulse energy of the amplifier under the forward and backward pump,are simulated. The relations between the output pulse energy of the amplifier and the different input pulse peak power or pump power are also discussed. The models and results can provide important guide for the design and optimization of the high power pulse amplification.  相似文献

进行了全光纤保偏主振荡功率放大型光纤激光器的实验研究. 采用两级级联放大的方式, 利用纤芯为5 μupm 的小芯径双包层保偏光纤, 在最大抽运功率为88 W 时实现了67 W的1083 nm保偏激光输出, 纤芯内的激光功率密度约为3.4 W/μupm2, 光-光转换效率为76%.分析结果表明, 进一步提高抽运功率有望获得更高功率的激光输出.  相似文献

报道了一种由纤芯直径分别为15μm和25μm的大模场光纤组成的全光纤脉冲放大器模块.当注入脉冲宽度为10 ns,重复频率为1 Hz.光谱宽度为0.3 nm,脉冲能量为80 nJ的激光脉冲时,经过两级放大输出的激光脉冲峰值功率为30 kW,单脉冲能量为300μJ.此外,实验研究了该放大器模块输出的时间特性.研究发现:由于受激布里渊散射(SBS)效应,限制了单纵模光纤激光在光纤中的高能量放大,采用宽带激光脉冲可以有效地抑制SBS效应,提高光纤放大器的SBS阈值.  相似文献

High power supercontinuum generation with 70 W average output power in a nonlinear ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier is demonstrated using all-normal dispersion, all-fiber master oscillator power amplifier configuration. The supercontinuum covers from 1064 nm to beyond 1700 nm with spectral flatness better than 12 dB and 67.3% optical to optical conversion efficiency. The almost uniform spectral power density across the whole continuum is more than 70 mW/nm and the nanosecond bursts output have an effective peak power of 82.7 kW.  相似文献

Ytterbium-doped large-pitch fibers with very large mode areas are investigated in a high-power fiber amplifier configuration. An average output power of 294?W is demonstrated, while maintaining robust single-mode operation with a mode field diameter of 62?μm.
