Singularly perturbed problems for the nonlinear dliptie systems in a strip domain are considered. Under suitabla conditions, by using the comparison theorem, the existence andasymptotic behavior of solution for the boundary value problems are studied.

On bifurcation for semilinear elliptic Dirichlet problems and the Morse–Smale index theorem

We study bifurcation from a branch of trivial solutions of semilinear elliptic Dirichlet boundary value problems on star-shaped domains, where the bifurcation parameter is introduced by shrinking the domain. In the proof of our main theorem we obtain in addition a special case of an index theorem due to S. Smale.     

On the Sobolev problem in the complete scale of Banach spaces

In a bounded domainG with boundary ∂G that consists of components of different dimensions, we consider an elliptic boundary-value problem in complete scales of Banach spaces. The orders of boundary expressions are arbitrary; they are pseudodifferential along ∂G. We prove the theorem on a complete set of isomorphisms and generalize its application. The results obtained are true for elliptic Sobolev problems with a parameter and parabolic Sobolev problems as well as for systems with the Douglis-Nirenberg structure. Overdetermined elliptic problems in topological disks

We introduce a method, based on the Poincaré–Hopf index theorem, to classify solutions to overdetermined problems for fully nonlinear elliptic equations in domains diffeomorphic to a closed disk. Applications to some well-known nonlinear elliptic PDEs are provided. Our result can be seen as the analogue of Hopf's uniqueness theorem for constant mean curvature spheres, but for the general analytic context of overdetermined elliptic problems.     

Boundary blow-up solutions and their applications in quasilinear elliptic equations

Based on a comparison principle, we discuss the existence, uniqueness and asymptotic behaviour of various boundary blow-up solutions, for a class of quasilinear elliptic equations, which are then used to obtain a rather complete understanding of some quasilinear elliptic problems on a bounded domain or over the entireR ^N .     

Zur Theorie der Integraltransformationen

Let A be a selfadjoint uniformly elliptic differential operator. Let the underlying domain be bounded. Eigenvalue problems can be solved then, and an arbitrary square integrable function may be developed in a Fourier series relative to the eigenfunctions. In general elliptic differential operators have a continuous spectrum, if the underlying domain is unbounded. In this case the spectral theorem provides a representation of a given function by an integral transformation. The spectral projector can be calculated, if the outgoing and incoming solutions are known (radiation condition). Thus integral transformations may be derived very easily. Four examples will be given: the Fourier sine transform, the Lebedev transform, the transformation belonging to the Dirichlet problem of the plate equation and, finally, the Fourier transformation.     

Existence of positive solutions for a class of semilinear and quasilinear elliptic equations with supercritical case

In this paper, we consider a class of semilinear elliptic Dirichlet problems in a bounded regular domain with cylindrical symmetry involving concave-convex nonlinearities with supercritical growth. Using a new Sobolev embedding theorem and variational method, we show the existence of two positive solutions of the problem. Additionally, we study the quasilinear elliptic equation and obtain a similar result.

针对二阶椭圆型单障碍问题提出了一类基于非匹配网格的Lagrang ian乘子非重叠型区域分解方法.并在适当条件下给出了该方法的收敛性分析和收敛速度估计.     

Polynomial approximation on tetrahedrons in the finite element method

The main aim of this paper is to derive an interpolation theorem (Theorem 1) which implies both a construction of once continuously differentiable functions which are piecewise polynomial in a domain divided into tetrahedrons (Corollary 1 and Theorem 2) and convergence theorems of the finite element method for solving three-dimensional elliptic boundary value problems of the fourth order (Theorems 3 and 4).     

Singular limit solutions for 2-dimensional elliptic system with sub-quadrtatic convection term

The existence of singular limit solutions are investigated by establishing a new Liouville type theorem for nonlinear elliptic system with sub-quadratic convection term and by using the nonlinear domain decomposition method.     

Critical points for nondifferentiable functions in presence of splitting

A classical critical point theorem in presence of splitting established by Brézis-Nirenberg is extended to functionals which are the sum of a locally Lipschitz continuous term and of a convex, proper, lower semicontinuous function. The obtained result is then exploited to prove a multiplicity theorem for a family of elliptic variational-hemivariational eigenvalue problems.     

二阶非线性椭圆型方程带位移的边值问题

In this paper, we consider the boundary value problem with the shift for nonlinear uniformly elliptic equations of second order in a multiply connected domain. For this sake, we propose a modified boundary value problem for nonlinear elliptic systems of first order equations, and give a priori estimates of solutions for the modified boundary value problem. Afterwards we prove by using the Schauder fixedpoint theorem that this boundary value problem with some conditions has a solution. The result obtained is the generlization of the corresponding theorem on the Poincare boundary value problem.     

A multi-domain method for solving numerically multi-scale elliptic problems

In this paper we present a family of iterative methods to solve numerically second order elliptic problems with multi-scale data using multiple levels of grids. These methods are based upon the introduction of a Lagrange multiplier to enforce the continuity of the solution and its fluxes across interfaces. This family of methods can be interpreted as a mortar element method with complete overlapping domain decomposition for solving numerically multi-scale elliptic problems. Positive solutions of nonlinear problems involving the square root of the Laplacian

We consider nonlinear elliptic problems involving a nonlocal operator: the square root of the Laplacian in a bounded domain with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions. For positive solutions to problems with power nonlinearities, we establish existence and regularity results, as well as a priori estimates of Gidas-Spruck type. In addition, among other results, we prove a symmetry theorem of Gidas-Ni-Nirenberg type.     

A general theorem on error estimates with application to a quasilinear elliptic optimal control problem

A theorem on error estimates for smooth nonlinear programming problems in Banach spaces is proved that can be used to derive optimal error estimates for optimal control problems. This theorem is applied to a class of optimal control problems for quasilinear elliptic equations. The state equation is approximated by a finite element scheme, while different discretization methods are used for the control functions. The distance of locally optimal controls to their discrete approximations is estimated.
