A simple neural network model with two delays is considered. By analyzing the associated characteristic transcendental equation, it is found that Hopf bifurcation occurs when the sum of two delays passes through a sequence of critical values. Using a global Hopf bifurcation theorem for FDE due to Wu [Wu J. Symmetric functional differential equations and neural networks with memory. Trans Amer Math Soc 1998;350:4799–838], a group of sufficient conditions for this model to have multiple periodic solutions are obtained when the sum of delays is sufficiently large. Numerical simulations are presented to support the obtained theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem on periodic solutions of the bidirectional associative memory neural networks with both periodic coefficients and periodic time-varying delays is discussed. By using analytic methods, inequality technique and M-matrix theory, several sufficient conditions ensuring the existence, uniqueness, and global exponential stability of periodic solution are derived. Moreover, the exponential convergence rate index is estimated, which depends on the system parameters. Some existing results are improved and extended. The obtained results are less restrictive than previously known criteria, and the hypothesis for the boundedness and monotonicity on the activation functions and the differentiability on the time-varying delays are removed. An example is given to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a three-dimensional delayed differential equation representing a bidirectional associate memory (BAM) neural network with three neurons and two discrete delays. By analyzing the number and stability of equilibria, the pitchfork bifurcation curve of the system is obtained. Furthermore, on the pitchfork bifurcation curve, by using the sum of two delays as the bifurcation parameter, we find that the system can undergo a Hopf bifurcation at the origin and the three-dimensional ordinary differential equation describing the flow on the center manifold is given.  相似文献

Both exponential stability and periodic solutions are considered for a class of bi-directional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with delays and reaction–diffusion terms by constructing suitable Lyapunov functional and some analysis techniques. The general sufficient conditions are given ensuring the global exponential stability and existence of periodic solutions of BAM neural networks with delays and reaction–diffusion terms. In this paper, we investigate discrete-time bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with periodic coefficients and transmission delays. By using matrix measure, spectral theory, and contraction theory, some sufficient conditions are attained for the existence of a unique exponential periodic attractor. Finally, computer simulations illustrate the dynamic behavior of the unique exponential periodic attractor. Moreover, the unique exponential periodic attractor is also given precisely. Using M-matrix and topological degree tool, sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point of bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with distributed delays and subjected to impulsive state displacements at fixed instants of time by constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional. The results remove the usual assumptions that the boundedness, monotonicity, and differentiability of the activation functions. It is shown that in some cases, the stability criteria can be easily checked. Finally, an illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the presented criteria.  相似文献

In this paper, a four-neuron BAM neural network with distributed delays is considered, where kernels are chosen as weak kernels. Its dynamics is studied in terms of local stability analysis and Hopf bifurcation analysis. By choosing the average delay as a bifurcation parameter and analyzing the associated characteristic equation, Hopf bifurcation occurs when the bifurcation parameter passes through some exceptive values. The stability of bifurcating periodic solutions and a formula for determining the direction of Hopf bifurcation are determined by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem. In this paper, we study the global dissipativity of a class of BAM neural networks with both time-varying and unbound delays. Based on Lyapunov functions and inequality techniques, several algebraic criteria for the global dissipativity are obtained. And the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach is exploited to establish sufficient easy-to-test conditions which are related to the derivative of delay for the global dissipativity. Meanwhile, the estimations of the positive invariant set, globally attractive set and globally exponential attractive set are given out. In this paper, we deal with a class of BAM neural networks with distributed leakage delays on time scales. Some sufficient conditions which ensure the existence and exponential stability of almost periodic solutions for such class of BAM neural networks are obtained by applying the exponential dichotomy of linear differential equations, Lapunov functional method and contraction mapping principle. An example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical predictions. The obtained results in this paper are completely new and complement the previously known publications.  相似文献
