In this study, an effective singular boundary method (SBM) in conjunction with the recursive multiple reciprocity method (MRM) is developed and validated for inhomogeneous problems. It avoids the inner nodes or domain discretizations to evaluate the particular solution, and preserves the boundary-only property of the SBM. Rather than using only polyharmonic operators in the traditional MRM, a recursive MRM is proposed to annihilate source terms with different partial differential operators recursively. Nevertheless, high-order fundamental solutions are involved in the recursive MRM. The absence of the origin intensity factors of higher order fundamental solutions is a major bottleneck in applying the SBM. In order to remedy this difficulty, the origin intensity factors of higher order fundamental solutions are derived with simple formulas. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.  相似文献

Ordinary differential equations of an arbitrary order having a non-integrable singularity inside the interval are considered under additional matching conditions for solutions at the singular point. We construct special fundamental systems of solutions for this class of differential equations, study their asymptotical, analytical and structural properties and the behavior of the corresponding Stokes multipliers. These fundamental systems of solutions are used in spectral analysis of differential operators with singularities.  相似文献

Here we define Rarita-Schwinger operators on cylinders and construct their fundamental solutions. Further the fundamental solutions to the cylindrical Rarita-Schwinger type operators are achieved by applying translation groups. In turn, a Borel-Pompeiu Formula, Cauchy Integral Formula and a Cauchy Transform are presented for the cylinders. Moreover we show a construction of a number of conformally inequivalent spinor bundles on these cylinders. Again we construct Rarita-Schwinger operators and their fundamental solutions in this setting. Finally we study the remaining Rarita-Schwinger type operators on cylinders.  相似文献

We compute temperate fundamental solutions of homogeneous differential operators with real-principal type symbols. Via analytic continuation of meromorphic distributions, fundamental solutions for these non-elliptic operators can be constructed in terms of radial averages and invariant distributions on the unit sphere.  相似文献

Conditions under which the linear differential operators of the second order are equivalent to operators not containing “friction” (first partial derivatives) are investigated. One can construct iso-Huygens deformations for powers of the wave operator with time-dependent coefficients. As is known, in mathematical physics there are differential operators with constant coefficients whose fundamental solutions can be constructed explicitly; such operators are said to be exactly solvable. In this paper, the problem of adding lower-order terms with variable coefficients to exactly solvable operators in such a way that the new operators (deformations) admit constructing fundamental solutions in explicit form is posed. This problem is directly related to Hadamard’s problem of describing differential operators satisfying the Huygens’ principle. On the basis of the Fourier method of separation of variables and the method of gauge-equivalent operators, an effective method for finding exactly solvable deformations depending on one variable is constructed. We consider parabolic operators of fractional order and their iterates on the upper half space of the euclidean space. We deal with Hilbert spaces of solutions of those parabolic equations. We shall show, in this note, the existence of reproducing kernels and give a formula by using their fundamental solutions. As an application, we also discuss the polyharmonic Bergman spaces and give their reproducing kernels by using the Poisson kernel on the upper half space.  相似文献

We study questions of solvability for operators of the form p(x,D)+b, where p(x,ξ) is a real quadratic form and b?C. As one consequence, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the local solvability of operators of the form L= near the critical point x=0, and prove the existence of tempered fundamental solutions whenever L is locally solvable.Our analysis of these operators is largely based on recent results about the solvabilitiy of left–invariant second order differential operators on the Heisenberg group and a transference principle for the Schrödinger representation.  相似文献

Integral equations of the first kind for exterior problems arising in the study of the three‐dimensional Helmholtz equation are considered. These equations are derived by seeking solutions in the form of layer potentials with modified fundamental solutions. For each first kind equation, existence and uniqueness of solution are proved with the aid of composition relations involving associated modified boundary integral operators. For the Dirichlet problem, an optimal choice of the modification coefficients is considered in order to minimize the condition number of the resulting integral operator. The purpose of this paper is to construct a family of fundamental solutions for elliptic partial differential operators with quaternion constant coefficients. The elements of such family are expressed by means of functions, which depend jointly real analytically on the coefficients of the operators and on the spatial variable. We show some regularity properties in the frame of Schauder spaces for the corresponding single layer potentials. Ultimately, we exploit our construction by showing a real analyticity result for perturbations of the layer potentials corresponding to complex elliptic partial differential operators of order two. Gellerstedt and Laplace–Beltrami operators relative to a certain mixed signature metric share among themselves an interesting and important property: under suitable change of coordinates they can be represented, up to a multiplying factor, in terms of Q α and R α singular first order perturbations of the Laplace and D’Alembertian operators. Controlling the monotonicity and growth of Leray–Lions’ operators including the p-Laplacian plays a fundamental role in the theory of existence and regularity of solutions to second order nonlinear PDEs. We collect, correct, and supply known estimates including the discussion on the constants. Moreover, we provide a comprehensive treatment of related results for operators with Orlicz growth. Analytical particular solutions of splines and monomials are obtained for problems of thin plate resting on Pasternak foundation under arbitrary loadings, which are governed by a fourth‐order partial differential equation (PDEs). These analytical particular solutions are valuable when the arbitrary loadings are approximated by augmented polyharmonic splines (APS) constructed by splines and monomials. In our derivations, the real coefficient operator in the governing equation is decomposed into two complex coefficient operators whose particular solutions are known in literature. Then, we use the difference trick to recover the analytical particular solutions of the original operator. In addition, we show that the derived particular solution of spline with its first few directional derivatives are bounded as r → 0. This solution procedure may have the potential in obtaining analytical particular solutions of higher order PDEs constructed by products of Helmholtz‐type operators. Furthermore, we demonstrate the usages of these analytical particular solutions by few numerical cases in which the homogeneous solutions are complementarily solved by the method of fundamental solutions (MFS). © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A concept of a fundamental solution is introduced for linear operator equations given in some functional spaces. In the case where this fundamental solution does not exist, the representation of the solution is found by the concept of a generalized fundamental solution, which is introduced for operators with nontrivial and generally infinite-dimensional kernels. The fundamental and generalized fundamental solutions are also investigated for a class of Fredholm-type operator equations. Some applications are given for one-dimensional generally nonlocal hyperbolic problems with trivial, finite- and infinite-dimensional kernels. The fundamental and generalized fundamental solutions of such problems are constructed as particular solutions of a system of integral equations or an integral equation. These fundamental solutions become meaningful in a general case when the coefficients are generally nonsmooth functions satisfying only some conditions such as p-integrablity and boundedness.  相似文献

We study how the statements on estimates of solutions to linear functional-differential equations, analogous to the Chaplygin differential inequality theorem, are connected with the positivity of the Cauchy function and the fundamental solution. We prove a comparison theorem for the Cauchy functions and the fundamental solutions to two functional-differential equations. In the theorem, it is assumed that the difference of the operators corresponding to the equations (and acting from the space of absolutely continuous functions to the space of summable ones) is a monotone totally continuous Volterra operator. We also obtain the positivity conditions for the Cauchy function and the fundamental solution to some equations with delay as long as those of neutral type.  相似文献

Kuhn-Tucker points play a fundamental role in the analysis and the numerical solution of monotone inclusion problems, providing in particular both primal and dual solutions. We propose a class of strongly convergent algorithms for constructing the best approximation to a reference point from the set of Kuhn-Tucker points of a general Hilbertian composite monotone inclusion problem. Applications to systems of coupled monotone inclusions are presented. Our framework does not impose additional assumptions on the operators present in the formulation, and it does not require knowledge of the norm of the linear operators involved in the compositions or the inversion of linear operators.  相似文献
