Synthesis of water-soluble potassium salts of carboxymethyl derivatives of calix[4]pyrogallols and dodeca(carboxylatomethyl)tetramethylcalix[4]pyrogallol (L) complexes with transition metal ions (Cu2+, Fe3+, La3+) is described. Their structures in the solid state and in solution were characterized by NMR spectroscopy, ESR, and IR spectroscopy. Calix[4]pyrogallol dodecacarboxylates exist in the rccc-configuration. Calix[4]pyrogallol with methyl substituents at the lower rim in a wide range concentrations exists in water predominantly in the dimeric form. The obtained polynuclear transition metal complexes possess less symmetric structure than potassium salt of calix[4]pyrogallol (K12L). All studied complexes contain water molecules bound by rather strong hydrogen bonds. At room temperature the Fe4L complex is characterized by the environment of the Fe3+ ions close to octahedral. The absence of signals in the ESR spectrum of the Cu6L complex indicates the strong antiferromagnetic interaction Cu2+-Cu2+.  相似文献

A method was developed for the synthesis of mixed-metal heterospin compounds with the direct coordination of the nitroxide fragment based on the replacement of acetonitrile molecules in the heterotrinuclear complex [Co2Gd(NO3)Piv6(CH3CN)2] with nitroxide molecules. The molecular and crystal structure of the heterospin mixed-ligand heterotrinuclear CoII, GdIII, CoII complex [Co2Gd(NO3)Piv6(NIT-Me)2], where NIT-Me is stable nitronyl nitroxide, was established. The magnetic properties of this complex were investigated in the temperature range of 2–300 K. The coordination of nitroxide groups to CoII ions is responsible for strong exchange interactions between the unpaired electrons in the exchange clusters {>-·O-CoII}, resulting in the virtually complete spin coupling between each coordinated >N-·O group and one of the unpaired electrons of each CoII ion at temperatures below 200 K. Complexes of CrIII, MnII, ZnII & CdII with the polydentate carboxamide ligandN′, N′′-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxoprop-2-enyl) 2-Amino-N-arylbenzamidine (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic studies (Vibrational, electronic, ESR and 1H-NMR), magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermal studies and powder diffraction studies. The vibrational spectral data are in agreement with coordination of amide and carboxylate oxygen of the ligands with the metal ions. The electronic spectra indicates octahedral or tetrahedral geometry around the metal ions, has been supported by magnetic susceptibility measurements. The results of electron spin resonance & 1H-NMR spectra have supported the results of other spectral techniques. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were computed from the thermal data using Coats and Redfern method, which confirm first order kinetics. Powder diffraction determines the cell parameters of the complexes.  相似文献

Bipyrimidines have been chosen as (N∧N)(N∧N) bridging ligands for connecting metal centers. IrIII-LnIII (Ln = Nd, Yb, Er) bimetallic complexes [Ir(dfppy)2(μ-bpm)Ln(TTA)3]Cl were synthesized by using Ir(dfppy)2(bpm)Cl as the ligand coordinating to lanthanide complexes Ln(TTA)3·2H2O. The stability constants between Ir(dfppy)2(bpm)Cl and lanthanide ions were measured by fluorescence titration. The obvious quenching of visible emission from IrIII complex in the IrIII-LnIII (Ln = Nd, Yb, Er) bimetallic complexes indicates that energy transfer occurred from IrIII center to lanthanides. NIR emissions from NdIII, YbIII, and ErIII were obtained under the excitation of visible light by selective excitation of the IrIII-based chromophore. It was proven that Ir(dfppy)2(bpm)Cl as the ligand could effectively sensitize NIR emission from NdIII, YbIII, and ErIII.  相似文献

The first cage-like ferrophenyl siloxane containing FeIII ions in different coordination spheres (four iron ions have a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination and two iron ions have a distorted octahedral coordination) was synthesized by the exchange reaction of sodium phenylsilanolate with FeIII chloride. An exotic lantern-like structure is formed with the involvement of two metal oxide fragments Fe—O—Fe. The structure of this compound was established by X-ray diffraction. The interaction of BSA and FeIII complexes ([FeIII(gly)(H2O)4]2+, [FeIII(ida)(H2O)3]+, and [FeIII(nta)(H2O)2], gly—glyane, ida—iminodiacetic acid, nta—triglycolamic acid) as well as the sonocatalytic damage to BSA was studied by UV-vis and fluorescence spectra. In addition, the influences of ultrasonic irradiation time and FeIII complex concentration were also examined on the sonocatalytic damage to BSA. The results showed that the fluorescence quenching of BSA solution caused by the FeIII complexes belonged to the static quenching process. The BSA and FeIII complexes interacted with each other mainly through weak interaction and coordinate actions. The binding association constants (K) and binding site numbers (n) were calculated. The results were as follows: K 1 = 0.5353 × 104 l mol−1 and n 1 = 0.9812 for [FeIII(gly)(H2O)4]2+, K 2 = 1.4285 × 104 l mol−1 and n 2 = 1.0899 for [FeIII(ida)(H2O)3, and K 3 = 0.4411 × 104 l mol−1 and n 3 = 0.9471 for [FeIII(nta)(H2O)2]. Otherwise, under ultrasonic irradiation the BSA were obviously damaged by the FeIII complexes. The damage degree rose up with the increase of ultrasonic irradiation time and FeIII complex concentration. And that, [FeIII(nta)(H2O)2] exhibited in a way higher sonocatalytic activity than [FeIII(gly)(H2O)4]2+ and [FeIII(ida)(H2O)3]+.  相似文献

The interaction of [K2FeIII 4(O)2(OOCCMe3)10(HOOCCMe3)2(H2O)2]n with 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde results in a mixed-valence complex FeIIFeIII 33-O)22-OOCCMe3)7L2··2.5MeCN·3H2O (L = 2-NC5H4COOH0.75K0.25). New p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arene tetrasubstituted at the lower rim and containing the azobenzene fragments in the 1,3-alternate configuration was synthesized. Its receptor properties with respect to d-metal cations (Fe 3+, Cu2+, Ag+) were studied using UV spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The ability of p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arene to molecular recognition of silver cations was estimated by UV spectroscopy. A new insoluble solid functionalized ligand system bearing chelating ligand group of the general formula P-(CH2)3-N[CH2CONH(C6H4)NH2]2, where P represents [Si–O] n polysiloxane network, was prepared by the reaction of the immobilized diethyliminodiacetate polysiloxane ligand system, P-(CH2)3N(CH2CO2Et)2 with 1,2-diaminobenzene in toluene. 13C CP-MAS NMR, XPS and FTIR results showed that most ethylacetate groups (–COOEt) were converted into the amide groups (–N–C=O). The new functionalized ligand system exhibits high capacity for extraction and removal of the metal ions (Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+) with efficiency of 95–97% after recovery from its primary metal complexes. This functionalized ligand system formed 1:1 metal to ligand complexes.  相似文献

A novel calix[4]arene derivative with pyrene fluorophores at the upper rim and tetraester ionophores at the lower rim was synthesized in six steps, and its structure was proved by NMR and ESI-MS spectroscopies. Furthermore, the chemosensing behavior of the host compound for alkali and alkaline earth metal ions was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy. The obtained results show that the calixarene host can selectively bind sodium ion with the complexation stability constant of 2190 mol−1·L. The complexation with sodium ion can pronouncedly induce the excimer emission to decrease and the monomer emission to increase, whereas the addition of the other alkali and alkaline earth metal ions does not cause appreciable changes in the fluorescence spectrum of the host compound. The present calix[4]arene derivative displays potential application as fluorescent chemosensor for sodium ion. The conditions for the formation of heteroleptic complexes of a lanthanide(iii) ion (Ln = La, Gd, and Tb) with p-sulfonatothiacalix[4]arene and a heteroaromatic chromophore in water were found using X-ray diffraction analysis, pH-metry, 1H NMR and UV—Vis spectroscopy, and nuclear magnetic relaxation. In the resulting complexes, the heteroaromatic chromophore is in the calix[4]arene cavity and the lanthanide ion is coordinated by the electron-donating groups of the upper or lower calix[4]arene rim. Emission spectroscopic studies revealed changed emission properties of TbIII ions in the terbium(iii)—p-sulfonatothiacalix[4]arene—bipy complex. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Summary Heat capacity measurements of the two-dimensional metal-assembled complex, (NEt4)[{MnIII(salen)}2FeIII(CN)6] [Et=ethyl, salen= N,N’-ethylenebis(salicylideneaminato) dianion], were performed in the temperature range between 0.2 and 300 K by adiabatic calorimetry. A ferrimagnetic phase transition was observed at Tc1=7.51 K. Furthermore, another small magnetic phase transition appeared at Tc2=0.78 K. Above Tc1, a heat capacity tail arising from the short-range ordering of the spins characteristic of two-dimensional magnets was found. The magnetic enthalpy and entropy were evaluated to be ΔH=291 J mol-1 and ΔS=27.4 J K-1 mol-1, respectively. The experimental magnetic entropy agrees roughly with ΔS=Rln(5·5·2) (=32.5 J K-1 mol-1; R being the gas constant), which is expected for the metal complex with two Mn(III) ions in high-spin state (spin quantum number S=2) and one Fe(III) ion in low-spin state (S=1/2). The heat capacity tail above Tc1 became small by grinding and pressing the crystal. This mechanochemical effect would be attributed to the increase of lattice defects and imperfections in the crystal lattice, leading not only to formation of the crystal with a different magnetic phase transition temperature but also to decrease of the magnetic heat capacity and thus the magnetic enthalpy and entropy.  相似文献

Isothermal titration calorimetry has been used to determine the stoichiometry, formation constants and thermodynamic parameters (ΔG o, ΔH, ΔS) for the formation of the citrate complexes with the Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+ ions. The measurements were run in Cacodylate, Pipes and Mes buffer solutions with a pH of 6, at 298.15 K. A constant ionic strength of 100 mM was maintained with NaClO4. The influence of a metal ion on its interaction energy with the citrate ions and the stability of the resulting complexes have been discussed.  相似文献

1-(Pyridin-2-yl)-3-tosylurea(HL) and its two lanthanide complexes, LnL3 · H2O [Ln = Nd(1), Eu(2)], have been synthesized and characterized on the base of elemental analyses, molar conductivities, IR spectra and thermal analyses. In addition, the DNA-binding properties of the two complexes have been investigated by absorption, fluorescence and viscosity measurements. The experimental results indicated that the complex (1) and (2) can bind to DNA; the binding affinity of the complex (1) is higher than that of complex (2) and the intrinsic binding constants of complex (1) and complex (2) with DNA were 1.24 × 104 m −1 and 8.7 × 103 m −1, respectively. In addition, some factors that influence the fluorescent intensity were also discussed.  相似文献

Based on the Fourier transform IR spectroscopy together with the published NMR and X-ray data, it was shown that cyclic co-operative intramolecular hydrogen bond in calix[n]arene (n = 4, 6, 8) molecules is mainly responsible for their conformational state irrespective of the presence or absence of bulky substituents at the upper rim of the molecules. In accordance with the size of a macrocycle (n = 4, 6, 8), the stable conformation, secured by such a hydrogen bond, constitutes a cone, a pinched cone, and a pleated loop, respectively. The new, potentially competing system of hydrogen bonds in calix[6]arenes with 3-carboxymethyl-1-adamantyl substituents does not affect the conformational state of the macrocycle and its H-bonding. Six carboxy groups at the upper rim form in pairs three cyclic dimers, which does not disturb the hydrogen bonds of the hydroxy groups and the conformation of the macrocycle. In addition, the cavity of the molecule is considerably enlarged. The removal or rearrangement of the guest molecules in the solid calixarene by heating up to 180 °C only slightly affects the conformational state of macrocycles bearing bulky substituents, whereas in calixarenes devoid of such substituents, the similar procedure leads to somewhat of a distortion of the macrocycles (judging from the IR spectral indications of hydrogen bonding). Abstract  A EuIII cryptate complex constructed from a CuII cryptand with an L tBu ligand, [EuIIICu2II(L tBu)2(NO3)3(MeOH)], and the corresponding CaII and NaI cryptates, [CaIICu2II(L tBu)2(NO3)2(MeOH)2] and [NaICu2II(L tBu)2(Me2CO)](BPh4), have been synthesized and characterized in order to shed light on the essential role of CuII in the luminescence of a EuIII cryptate. The unprecedented role of a CuII cryptand makes it possible to produce lanthanide luminescence in a EuIII cryptate complex and is successfully elucidated by comparison with the corresponding CaII and NaI cryptates. The ion-exchange equilibrium in network polymers obtained from cis-2,8,14,20-tetraphenyl-4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24-octahydroxycalix[4]arene by template synthesis on cations Na+, K+, and Ba2+ as matrices was studied. The selectivity coefficients of ion exchanges Ba2+-H+, Na+-H+, K+-H+, Na+-K+, and Na+-NH4 + were determined. Two novel cobalt(III) mixed-polypyridyl complexes [Co(bpy)2(dpta)]3+ and [Co(bpy)2(amtp)]3+ (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, dpta = dipyrido-[3,2-a;2′,3′-c]-thien-[3,4-c]azine, amtp = 3-amino-1,2,4-triazino[5,6-f]-1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized. The interaction of CoIII complexes with calf thymus DNA was investigated by spectroscopic and viscosity measurements. Results suggest that the two complexes bind to DNA via an intercalative mode. Moreover, CoIII complexes have been found to promote the photocleavage of plasmid DNA pBR322 under irradiation at 365 nm. The mechanism studies reveal that hydroxyl radical (OH) is likely to be the reactive species responsible for the cleavage of plasmid DNA by [Co(bpy)2(dpta)]3+ and superoxide anion radical (O 2 •− ) acts as the key role in the cleavage reaction of plasmid DNA by [Co(bpy)2(amtp)]3+.  相似文献

The heteronuclear complex [Fe4Li2(O)2(Piv)10(H2O)2] (1, Piv is the pivalic acid anion) was obtained by refluxing FeIII pivalates with LiI pivalates in toluene and isolated as the 1?PhCH3 solvate with a toluene molecule. According to X-ray diffraction data, complex 1 contains the {Fe4Li2O2} core. The Mössbauer spectroscopy data indicate that the core comprises para magnetic FeIII ions in the high-spin state located in the symmetric octahedral environment of oxygen atoms. Thermolysis of 1 studied by simultaneous thermal analysis demonstrated thermal stability of the complex up to 225 °С. The main end product of thermolysis at 600 °С is the mixed oxide LiFe5O8.  相似文献
