From the heart of the stems of the hollyhockAlthea nudiflora (Lindl.) Boiss., growing on the territory of Southern Kazakhstan we have isolated a polysaccharide (yield 5%) containing residues of glucuronic and galacturonic acids (totalling 42%), and also of glucose, rhamnose, galactose, arabinose, xylose (traces) and mannose (traces). From the bark of the stems of this plant we have isolated a polysaccharide (yield 1.8%) consisting of a branched polymer composed of residues of rhamnose, glucose, and arabinose (22:17:2) and also of glucuronic and galacturonic acids (totalling 30%). In the products of the methylation of this polysaccharide previously reduced at the COOH groups we have established the presence of 2,3,4-tri-O-methylrhamnose, 3,4-di-O-methylrhamnose, 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-methylglucose, 2,6-di-O-methylglucose, and a mixture of 2,3,6-tri-O-methylglucose and 2,3,6-tri-O-methylgalactose (1:10:14:5:7).V. Summary 1. The dioxane lignins have been extracted from three species ofAlthea for the first time. On the basis of elementary and functional analyses, the semiempirical formulas of the phenylpropane structural units have been calculated.2. The molecular weight distributions have shown that the DLAs of these species ofAlthea are polydisperse, and in the case of the DLAs of the wild-growing species —A. rhyticarpa andA. nudiflora — the high-molecular weight fraction is predominant, while for the DLA ofA. rosea the low-molecular-weight fraction is predominant.3. In a study of the products of nitrobenzene oxidation it has been established that the DLA of all three species ofAlthea includes p-coumaryl, guaiacyl, and syringyl structural units.4. The polysaccharides of three cultivated varieties ofAlthea rosea have been investigated. The amounts of water-soluble polysaccharides and pectin substances in various organs of the plant have been determined. It has been shown that the maximum amount of water-soluble polysaccharides and pectin substances is present in the flowers. Their monosaccharide compositions have been studied. A novel homosesquiterpenoid, burmanol (1), along with 16 known compounds, including one triterpenoid, one quinol, two chlorophylls, two coumarins, two steroids, three lignans and five benzenoids were obtained from the stems of Cinnamomum burmanii (Lauraceae). From an CHCl3-soluble fraction of the stems of Semecarpus caudata, one new bischromanone named semecarpanone (1), together with 5 known flavonoids (26) were isolated. Their structures were elucidated based on interpretation of spectroscopic data. The stereo-configuration of 1 was identified based on the calculated and experimental coupling constants. Compounds 46 showed potent tyrosinase inhibitory activity with the IC50 values ranging from 15.0 to 76.3 μM.  相似文献

Cinnaretamine, a new amide, has been isolated from Cinnamomum reticulatum Hay (Lauraceae), together with six known compounds, N-trans-feruloylmethoxytyramine, N-cis-feruloylmethoxytyramine, (+)-syringaresinol, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, syringic acid and vanillic acid. A new morphinandienone alkaloid, fissistigmine A (1), together with three known alkaloids (2?4), were isolated and identified from the stems of Fissistigma tungfangense. Among them, fissistigmine A (1) represents the first example of a novel naturally occurring morphinandienone alkaloid with a unique cleavage of the C-9?N-17 bond. All isolated compounds were evaluated for their anti-rheumatoid arthritis activities via examining their anti-proliferative effects on synoviocytes in vitro. Compound 1 exhibited inhibitory effect on the proliferation of synoviocytes with an IC50 value of 114.6 ± 2.2 μM.  相似文献

A new dihydrochalcone glycoside, phloretin-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), together with seven known flavonoids (2–8), were isolated from the stems of Homalium stenophyllum. The structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods and the known compounds were identified by comparisons with data reported in the literature. The known compounds (2–8) were isolated from the genus Homalium for the first time. All compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial activities against six pathogenic bacteria in vitro.  相似文献

Abstract

Chemical investigation of the stems of Epigunum griffithianum led to the isolation and identification of a new triterpenoid saponin (1) and two known compounds (epigynosides A (2) and B (3)). These structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic analysis (1D and 2D NMR, MS, UV, IR) as well as comparison with the reported data. Compound 1 was evaluated in vitro for the immunosuppressive activities on proliferation of mice splenocyte and displayed significant immunosuppressive activities compared to the positive control (dexamethasone) with the concentration at 25?μM.  相似文献

A new lactone ficusine D (1), together with six known compounds (27) were isolated from the stems of the Ficus auriculata. The new compound 1 was a rare 12-membered lactone containing a quinone ring skeleton. The structure of the 1 was elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic data. The relative and absolute configurations of 1 were elucidated by the ROESY analysis and biogenesis pathway. All compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial activities against six pathogenic bacteria in vitro. Compounds 6 and 7 exhibited potent antibacterial activities against Bacillus cereus with the MIC values of 2.5 and 5 μM, respectively.  相似文献

Five new compounds, hibicuslide A (1), hibicuslide B (2), hibicuslide C (3), hibicutaiwanin (4), hibicusin (5), and fifty-one known compounds have been isolated from the stems of Hibiscus taiwanensis. The structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic and chemical transformation methods. Among them, mansonone H (19) and uncarinic acid A (30) inhibited HIV replication in H9 lymphocyte cells. The 9,9'-O-feruloyl-(-)-secoisolaricinresinol (12), myriceric acid C (29), and uncarinic acid A (30) showed cytotoxic activity against human lung carcinoma and breast carcinoma.  相似文献

A new triterpenoid glycoside (1) was isolated from the methanol extract of the leaves and stems of Duranta repens L. (Verbenaceae) along with 14 known compounds consisting of eight triterpenoids, four iridoids, one phenylethanoid glycoside and one flavonoid. The chemical structure of 1 was determined to be bayogenin 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranoside]-28-O-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→5)-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1→4)-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-O-α-L-arabinopyranosyl] ester, based on spectroscopic data. In addition, the inhibitory effects of the isolates on lipoxygenase activity were examined. Among them, acteoside and apigenin resulted in 94 ± 3.6% and 82 ± 4.7% inhibition, respectively, at 0.5 mM.  相似文献
