The synthesis, structural characterization, photoluminescence properties, and density functional theory analysis of three Pt(II) diimine complexes, Pt(dbbpy)(C triple bond CR)2 [dbbpy = 4,4'-di(tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine; R = -SiMe3, -CC-SiMe3, or -t-Bu], are presented. The Pt(dbbpy)(C triple bond C-tBu)2 complex serves as a carbon-based ligand structure for which the photophysical properties of the two silicon-bearing complexes are compared in dichloromethane. Pt(dbbpy)(C triple bond C-SiMe3)2 and Pt(dbbpy)(C triple bond C-C triple bond C-SiMe3)2 display visible absorptions with strong green emission (lambda(emmax) = 526 and 524 nm, respectively) while Pt(dbbpy)(C triple bond C-t-Bu)2 displays efficient, long-lived yellow emission (lambda(emmax) = 557 nm). Direct side by side comparisons of Pt(dbbpy)(C triple bond C-SiMe3)2 and Pt(dbbpy)(C triple bond C-t-Bu)2 suggest that the difference in excited state energy results from the relative sigma-donor strength of the acetylide ligands.  相似文献

Summary New neutral platinum complexes of Schiff bases or their hydrated derivatives were prepared and a new path to mixed ligand platinum(II) complexes is proposed. Reactions of [PtCl4]2– with multidentate Schiff bases give chelates which react further, resulting in cis-coordinated mixed N-donor ligand complexes. Structures are proposed on the basis of chemical analyses, electrical conductivities and i.r. studies.  相似文献

The reaction of various [Os(L)(2)(L')](2+) complexes (where L and L' are phenanthroline, diphosphine or diarsine ligands) and organic reducing agents after chemical or electrochemical oxidation of the reactants produces an emission of light corresponding to MLCT transitions. In certain instances, the emission was greater than that of [Ru(bipy)(3)](2+), but the relative signals were dependent on many factors, including reagent concentration, mode of oxidation, reducing agent and the sensitivity of the photodetector over the wavelength range.  相似文献

Platinum(II) dimethyl complexes of the three triphosphines PhP(CH2CH2CH2PPh2)2, PhP(CH2CH2PPh2)2, and PhP(CH2CH2PMe2)2 have been shown by 31P NMR to undergo exchange of the terminal phosphino groups. An exchange route involving a five-coordinate platinum(II) complex is proposed.  相似文献

The synthesis, structure, and photoluminescence of palladium(0) and platinum(0) complexes containing biarydiphosphines, biphep (biphep = 2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-biphenyl) and binap (binap = 2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl) have been studied. X-ray structure analysis of [Pt(biphep)(2)] revealed the distorted-tetrahedral geometry of the complex. The photophysical properties of the three complexes [Pd(biphep)(2)], [Pt(biphep)(2)], and [Pd(binap)(2)] were investigated and compared with that of the previously reported [Pt(binap)(2)] complex. The [Pd(biphep)(2)] complex shows the strongest luminescence with a high quantum yield (38%) and a long lifetime (3.2 micros) in a toluene solution at room temperature. The luminescence should be due to metal-to-ligand charge transfer excited states. At room temperature, radiative rate constants of the four complexes show similar values. The difference in the luminescent properties should reflect the different nonradiative rate constants of the complexes. The temperature-dependence of the luminescence spectra and lifetime of the complexes were also discussed.  相似文献

We wish to report the synthesis, crystal structures, spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of several new Pt(II) heteroleptic complexes containing the thiacrown, 9S3 (1,4,7-trithiacyclononane) with a series of substituted phenanthroline ligands and related diimine systems. These five ligands are 5,6-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline(5,6-Me2-phen), 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline(4,7-Me2-phen), 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline(4,7-Ph2-phen), 2,2′-bipyrimidine(bpm), and pyrazino[2,3-f]quinoxaline or 1,4,5,8-tetraazaphenanthrene(tap). All complexes have the general formula [Pt(9S3)(N2)](PF6)2 (N2 = diimine ligand) and form similar structures in which the Pt(II) center is surrounded by a cis arrangement of the two N donors from the diimine chelate and two sulfur atoms from the 9S3 ligand. The third 9S3 sulfur in each structure forms a longer interaction with the platinum resulting in an elongated square pyramidal structure, and this distance is sensitive to the identity of the diimine ligand. In addition, we report the synthesis, structural, electrochemical, and spectroscopic properties of related Pd(II) 9S3 complex with tap. The 195Pt NMR chemical shifts for the six Pt(II) complexes show a value near −3290 ppm, consistent with a cis-PtS2N2 coordination sphere although more electron-withdrawing ligands such as tap show resonances shifted by almost 100 ppm downfield. The physicochemical properties of the complexes generally follow the electron-donating or withdrawing properties of the phenanthroline substituents.  相似文献

A series of novel dinuclear platinum(II) complexes were synthesized containing a mixed nitrogen-sulfur donor bidentate chelate system in which the two platinum centers are connected by an aliphatic chain of variable length. The bidentate chelating ligands were selected to stabilize the complex toward decomposition. The pK(a) values and reactivity of the four synthesized complexes, namely, [Pt(2)(S(1),S(4)-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,4-butanedithioether)(OH(2))(4)](4+) (4NSpy), [Pt(2)(S(1),S(6)-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,6-hexanedithioether)(OH(2))(4)](4+) (6NSpy), [Pt(2)(S(1),S(8)-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,8-octanedithioether)(OH(2))(4)](4+) (8NSpy), and [Pt(2)(S(1),S(10)-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,10-decanedithioether)(OH(2))(4)](4+) (10NSpy), were investigated. This system is of special interest because only little is known about the substitution behavior of dinuclear platinum complexes that contain a bidentate chelate that forms part of the aliphatic bridging ligand. Moreover, the ligands as well as the dinuclear complexes were examined in terms of their cytotoxic activity, and the 10NSpy complex was found to be active. Spectrophotometric acid-base titrations were performed to determine the pK(a) values of all the coordinated water molecules. The substitution of coordinated water by thiourea was studied under pseudo-first-order conditions as a function of nucleophile concentration, temperature, and pressure, using stopped-flow techniques and UV-vis spectroscopy. The results for the dinuclear complexes were compared to those for the corresponding mononuclear reference complex [Pt(methylthiomethylpyridine)(OH(2))(2)](2+) (Pt(mtp)), by which the effect of the increasing aliphatic chain length of the bridged complexes could be investigated. The results indicate that there is a clear interaction between the two platinum centers, which becomes weaker as the chain length between the metal centers increases. Furthermore, differences and similarities of the N,S-system were compared to the corresponding dinuclear N,N-system studied previously in our group. In addition, quantum chemical calculations were performed to support the interpretation and discussion of the experimental data.  相似文献

A series of water-soluble platinum(II) complexes containing bidentate imino pyridine ligands L of the general formula LPtX2 (X=Cl or Me) have been prepared. The dichloro complexes are very stable in water or dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), even at elevated temperatures, whereas the dimethyl complexes are less stable in these strongly polar solvents. In DMSO, an equilibrium between the complex LPtMe2 and (DMSO)2PtMe2 is observed, whereas in water decomposition is observed within 1 day at room temperature.  相似文献

Oscillation of the 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmphen) ligand between nonequivalent exchanging sites in [Pt(Me)(dmphen)(P(o-tolyl)3)]+ and phosphane rotation around the Pt-P bond take place at the same rate. Thus, this cationic complex behaves as a molecular gear, exhibiting a fascinating synchronism between two otherwise independent fluxional motions. The process (DeltaG(3330)(#) = 68.5 +/- 0.2 kJ mol(-1)) was found to be unaffected by (i) the nature of various counteranions (X = PF6- 1, SbF6- 2, CF3SO3- 3, BF4- 4, BArf- 5), (ii) the polarity or the electron-donor properties of the solvent and, (iii) the addition of weak nucleophiles. Restricted phosphane rotation around the Pt-P bond impedes free dmphen oscillation in a 14-electron three-coordinate T-shaped intermediate, containing eta1-coordinated dmphen, generated by easy Pt-N bond dissociation from [Pt(Me)(dmphen)(P(o-tolyl)3)]+. 1-5 undergo easy orthoplatination, leading to new [Pt(dmphen){CH2C6H4P(o-tolyl)2-kappaC,P}]X cyclometalated Pt(II) compounds (X = PF6- 1, SbF6- 2, CF3SO3- 3, BF4- 4, BArf- 5). The kinetics of the cyclometalation of 3 and 4 were followed in tetrachloroethane by both 1H NMR and spectrophotometric techniques (kobs = 1.7 x 10-4 s(-1) at 333 K, DeltaH = 59.3 +/- 3 kJ mol(-1), and DeltaS = -141 +/- 8 J K(-1) mol(-1)). Ring opening of dmphen is again a prerequisite for C-H bond activation, which takes place through a multistep oxidative-addition reductive-elimination pathway. The molecular structure of cyclometalated 10 shows a butterfly shape with two o-tolyl rings projected above and below the coordination plane. Variable-temperature 1H NMR spectra revealed hindered rotation around the P-Cipso(o-tolyl) bonds at rather mild temperatures (DeltaG(3330)(#) = 55.2 +/- 0.4 kJ mol(-1)). Dmphen oscillation results very slowly and is dependent on the nature of the counteranions, of the solvents, and is strongly accelerated by the presence of weak nucleophiles that act as catalysts, according to an associative mode of activation.  相似文献

The reactions of [Tl(2)[S(2)C=C[C(O)Me](2)]](n) with [MCl(2)(NCPh)(2)] and CNR (1:1:2) give complexes [M[eta(2)-S(2)C=C[C(O)Me](2)](CNR)(2)] [R = (t)Bu, M = Pd (1a), Pt (1b); R = C(6)H(3)Me(2)-2,6 (Xy), M = Pd (2a), Pt (2b)]. Compound 1b reacts with AgClO(4) (1:1) to give [[Pt(CN(t)Bu)(2)](2)Ag(2)[mu(2),eta(2)-(S,S')-[S(2)C=C[C(O)Me](2)](2)]](ClO(4))(2) (3). The reactions of 1 or 2 with diethylamine give mixed isocyanide carbene complexes [M[eta(2)-S(2)C=C[C(O)Me](2)](CNR)[C(NEt(2))(NHR)]] [R = (t)Bu, M = Pd (4a), Pt (4b); R = Xy, M = Pd (5a), Pt (5b)] regardless of the molar ratio of the reagents. The same complexes react with an excess of ammonia to give [M[eta(2)-(S,S')-S(2)C=C[C(O)Me](2)](CN(t)Bu)[C(NH(2))(NH(t)Bu)]] [M = Pd (6a), Pt (6b)] or [M[eta(2)-(S,S')-S(2)C=C[C(O)Me](2)][C(NH(2))(NHXy)](2)] [M = Pd (7a), Pt (7b)] probably depending on steric factors. The crystal structures of 2b, 4a, and 4b have been determined. Compounds 4a and 4b are isostructural. They all display distorted square planar metal environments and chelating planar E,Z-2,2-diacetyl-1,1-ethylenedithiolato ligands that coordinate through the sulfur atoms.  相似文献

The redox reaction of bis(2-benzamidophenyl) disulfide (H2L-LH2) with [Pd(PPh3)4] in a 1:1 ratio gave mononuclear and dinuclear palladium(II) complexes with 2-benzamidobenzenethiolate (H2L), [Pd(H2L-S)2(PPh3)2] (1) and [Pd2(H2L-S)2 (μ-H2L-S)2(PPh3)2] (2). A similar reaction with [Pt(PPh3)4] produced only the corresponding mononuclear platinum(II) complex, [Pt(H2L-S)2(PPh3)2] (3). Treatment of these complexes with KOH led to the formation of cyclometallated palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes, [Pd(L-C,N,S)(PPh3)] ([4]) and [Pt(L-C,N,S) (PPh3)] ([5]). The molecular structures of 2, 3 and [4] were determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The ultrafast excited-state dynamics of three structurally related platinum(II) complexes has been investigated using femtosecond transient absorption spectrometry in 2-methyltetrahydrofuran (MTHF). Previous work has shown that Pt(dbbpy)(C[triple bond]C-Ph)2 (dbbpy is 4,4'-di(tert-butyl)-2,2'-bipyridine and C[triple bond]C-Ph is ethynylbenzene) has a lowest metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3MLCT) excited state, while the multichromophoric Pt(dbbpy)(C[triple bond]C-pyrene)2 (CC-pyrene is 1-ethynylpyrene) contains the MLCT state, but possesses a lowest intraligand (3IL) excited state localized on one of the CC-pyrenyl units (Pomestchenko, I. E.; Luman, C. R.; Hissler, M.; Ziessel, R.; Castellano, F. N. Inorg. Chem. 2003, 42, 1394-96). trans-Pt(PBu3)2(C[triple bond]C-pyrene)2 serves as a model system that provides a good representation of the CC-pyrene-localized 3IL state in a Pt(II) complex lacking the MLCT excited state. Following 400 nm excitation, the formation of the 3MLCT excited state in Pt(dbbpy)(C[triple bond]C-Ph)2 is complete within 200 +/- 40 fs, and intersystem crossing to the 3IL excited state in trans-Pt(PBu3)2(C[triple bond]C-pyrene)2 occurs with a time constant of 5.4 +/- 0.2 ps. Selective excitation into the low-energy MLCT bands in Pt(dbbpy)(C[triple bond]C-pyrene)2 (lambda(ex) = 480 nm) leads to the formation of the 3IL excited state in 240 +/- 40 fs, suggesting ultrafast wire-like energy migration in this molecule. The kinetic data suggest that the presence of the MLCT states in Pt(dbbpy)(C[triple bond]C-pyrene)2 markedly accelerates the formation of the triplet state of the pendant pyrenylacetylide ligand. In essence, the triplet sensitization process is kinetically faster than pure intersystem crossing in trans-Pt(PBu3)2(CC-pyrene)2 as well as vibrational relaxation in the MLCT excited state of Pt(dbbpy)(C[triple bond]C-Ph)2. These results are potentially important for the design of chromophores intended to reach their lowest excited state on subpicosecond time scales and advocate the likelihood of wire-like behavior in triplet-triplet energy transfer.  相似文献

Treatment of the bridging bidentate 1,Z-bis(aminopropyl)-1,Z-dicarba-closo-dodecaborane(12)(1,Z-bis(aminopropyl)-1,Z-carborane) ligands of the type 1,Z-[H(2)N(CH(2))(3)](2)-1,Z-C(2)B(10)H(10)(L(1), Z= 7, 5) or (L(2), Z= 12, 6) with two equivalents of trans-[PtClI(2)(NH(3))](-), followed by halogen ligand metathesis with AgOTf and HCl((aq)) afforded the novel diplatinum(II)-amine species cis-[[PtCl(2)(NH(3))](2)L(n)](7(n= 1) or 8(n= 2), respectively). Similarly, the reaction of L(1) or L(2) with the labile trans-[PtCl(dmf)(NH(3))(2)](+) afforded trans-[[PtCl(NH(3))(2)](2)L(n)](OTf)(2)(9(n= 1) or 10(n= 2), respectively) in good yield and purity. However, isolation of the analogous 1,2-carborane complexes was not possible owing to decomposition reactions that led to extensive degradation of the carborane cage and reduction of the metal centre. The mixed dinuclear complex [cis-[PtCl(2)(NH(3))]-L(1)-trans-[PtCl(NH(3))(2)]]OTf (19) was prepared by treatment of the Boc-protected amine ligand 1-[(Boc)(2)N(CH(2))(3)]-7-[H(2)N(CH(2))(3)]-1,7-C(2)B(10)H(10)(L(3), 15) with trans-[PtCl(dmf)(NH(3))(2)](+) to yield trans-[PtCl(NH(3))(2)L(3)]OTf (16), followed by acid deprotection of the pendant amine group, complexation with trans-[PtClI(2)(NH(3))](-), and halogen ligand metathesis using AgOTf and HCl((aq)). A novel trinuclear species containing 5 was prepared by the addition of two equivalents of 15 to the labile precursor cis-[Pt(dmf)(2)(NH(3))(2)](2+) followed by acid deprotection of the pendant amine groups. Further complexation with two equivalents of trans-[PtClI(2)(NH(3))](-) followed by halogen ligand metathesis using AgOTf and HCl((aq)) afforded the triplatinum(II)-amine species [cis-[Pt(NH(3))(2)(L(1))(2)]-cis-[PtCl(2)(NH(3))](2)](OTf)(2)(23). Complexes 7-10, 19 and 23 represent the first examples of multinuclear platinum(ii)-amine derivatives containing carborane cages. Preliminary in vitro cytotoxicity studies for selected complexes are also reported.  相似文献

Recently, we observed that the enantiopure Lambda form of the tributylammonium salt of the chiral anion tris[tetrachlorobenzene-1,2-bis(olato)]phosphate, also named Trisphat, was able to induce an efficient resolution of a Delta,Lambda racemic mixture of cis-[Ru(dmp)2(NCCH3)2](PF6)2 (dmp=2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) due to the spontaneous and selective precipitation of the heterochiral pair [Delta-Ru(dmp)2(CH3CN)2][Lambda-Trisphat]2. We report here that the combination of such a stereoselective precipitation process and irradiation results in the quantitative conversion of the initial [Ru(dmp)2(NCCH3)2]2+ racemate into only one of the two enantiomers. This is the first example in inorganic chemistry of an asymmetric transformation that leads to a chiral complex with no chiral ligand. Finally, three new racemic ruthenium bis(diimine) complexes, namely [Ru(dmp)2(NCCH3)Py](PF6)2 (Py=pyridine), [Ru(dmp)2(1,3-diaminopropane)](PF6)2, and [Ru(dmp)2(ethylenediamine)](PF6)2 were synthesized. For all of them, crystallization-induced asymmetric transformation proved to be an efficient way of obtaining the corresponding optically active chiral-at-metal complexes in high yields and with excellent stereoselectivities.  相似文献

In this review, the synthesis, electronic absorption and luminescent properties of a series of branched alkynylpalladium(II) and -platinum(II) phosphine complexes with different alkynyl backbones and some of their structurally related complexes in the literature will be discussed. With the growing research interest in the potential application of these complexes in the field of non-linear optics (NLO), the two-photon absorption (TPA) properties and the corresponding structure–property relationships of selected luminescent branched platinum(II) bis-alkynyl complexes will also be described.  相似文献

The reaction of α‐keto‐stabilized diphosphine ylides [Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2═C(H)C(O)C6H4p‐CN] (n = 1 (Y1); n = 2 (Y2)) with dibromo(1,5‐cyclooctadiene) palladium(II)/platinum(II) complexes, [Pd/PtBr2(cod)], in equimolar ratio gave the new cyclometalated Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes [Br2Pd(κ2‐Y1)] ( 1 ), [Br2Pt(κ2‐Y1)] ( 2 ), [Br2Pd(κ2‐Y2)] ( 3 ) and [Br2Pt(κ2‐Y2)] ( 4 ). These compounds were screened in a search for novel antibacterial agents and characterized successfully using Fourier transfer infrared and NMR (1H, 13C and 31P) spectroscopic methods. Also, the structures of complexes 1 and 2 were characterized using X‐ray crystallography. The results showed that the P,C‐chelated complexes 1 and 2 have structures consisting of five‐membered rings, while 3 and 4 have six‐membered rings, formed by coordination of the ligand through the phosphine group and the ylidic carbon atom to the metal centre. Also, a theoretical study of the structures of complexes 1 – 4 was conducted at the BP86/def2‐SVP level of theory. The nature of metal–ligand bonds in the complexes was investigated using energy decomposition analyses (EDA) and extended transition state combined with natural orbitals for chemical valence analyses. The results of EDA confirmed that the main portions of ΔEint, about 57–58%, in the complexes are allocated to ΔEelstat.  相似文献

The complex [Pt(C2H4)(PPh3)2] reacts with Pb2Ph6 to give cis-[PtPh(Pb2Ph5)(PPh3)2]; this decomposes in solution to cis-[PtPh(PbPh3)(PPh3)2], which may also be obtained from the ethylene complex and PbPh4. Lead compounds PbPhMe3 and PbPh3Br also give products of insertion into PbPh bonds, but PbMe3Cl gives cis- and trans-[PtCl(PbMe3)(PPh3)2]. The complex trans-[Pt(PbPh3)2(PEt3)2] reacts with 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (DPPE) to give [Pt(PbPh3)2(DPPE)] which readily decomposes in dichloromethane in presence of PEt3 to give [Pt(PbPh3)(PEt3)(DPPE)]Cl and [PtPh(PEt3)(DPPE)]Cl. The complex trans-[PtCl(PbPh3)(PEt3)2] was detected in the products of reactions between trans-[PtCl2(PEt3)2] and trans-[Pt(PbPh3)2(PEt3)2] or less than 2 moles of LiPbPh3; it was not detected in the mixture after treatment of trans -[Pt(PbPh3)2(PEt3)2] with HCl. In contrast to an earlier report, we were unable to detect lead-containing complexes in the products of the reaction between trans-[PtHCl(PPh3)2] and Ph3PbNO3. The complexes and their decomposition products were identified by pre31P-{1H} NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献
