The mode spectrum of electroacoustic boundary waves guided by a strip domain uniformly moving in a 4-mm ferroelectric is considered in the quasi-static approximation. The motion of the strip domain is found to cause the wave vector of the electroacoustic wave to be noncollinear with the guiding boundaries. The frequency dependences of the phase velocity are presented for the symmetric and antisymmetric modes of the electroacoustic wave. These dependences are compared in the reference system fixed to the strip domain and in the laboratory reference system. It is shown that, at low and moderate frequencies, the symmetric mode of the electroacoustic wave is more efficiently localized by a moving strip domain than by a single domain wall.  相似文献

The dispersion properties of electroacoustic wave modes confined by a superlattice of uniformly moving 180° domain walls in a tetragonal ferroelectric crystal are considered. It is shown that the manifold of partial electroacoustic interfacial waves in the lattice is restricted to the first allowed band, the configuration of which in the plane of spectral variables can significantly vary under the action of the moving domain walls.  相似文献

The radiation characteristics of a two-element array of equilateral triangular patch microstrip antenna on a ferrite substrate are studied theoretically by considering the presence of bias magnetic field in the direction of propagation of electromagnetic waves. It is found that the natural modes of propagation in the direction of magnetic field are left- and right-circularly polarized waves and these modes have different propagation constants. In loss-less isotropic warm plasma, this array antenna geometry excites both electromagnetic (EM) and electroacoustic plasma (P) waves in addition to a nonradiating surface wave. In the absence of an external magnetic field, the EM- and P-waves can be decoupled into two independent modes, the electroacoustic mode is longitudinal while the electromagnetic mode is transverse. The far-zone EM-mode and P-mode radiation fields are derived using vector wave function techniques and pattern multiplication approaches. The results are obtained in both plasma medium and free space. Some important antenna parameters such as radiation conductance, directivity and quality factor are plotted for different values of plasma-to-source frequency.  相似文献

An electroacoustic transducer in the form of a piezoelectric of the 6mm symmetry class with an arbitrary orientation of the sixfold axis and with two finite-thickness metal electrodes is considered taking into account the acoustic attenuation in the transducer layers. A system of equations is obtained to determine the impedance of the transducer, the radiation resistances for shear and longitudinal waves, the power ratio of these waves in the acoustic line, and the transformation factors for transverse and longitudinal waves. The effect of attenuation on the characteristics of a specific transducer operating in the 15-GHz frequency range is numerically analyzed.  相似文献

The one-dimensional dispersion equation of the electroacoustic instability of the low pressure column is analyzed numerically. The column steady state parameters were obtained from the plasma balance equations based on a Maxwell distribution. The computed curves are compared with the experimental dispersions measured for spontaneously existing anode directed wave observed at the cathode end of the column. Although the agreement between the observed and computed dispersion curves is fairly good the current driven electroacoustic instability does not provide a universal explanation for all of these waves.  相似文献

A method and algorithm for numerical analysis and optimization of the basic parameters of electroacoustic surface waves propagating in multilayer piezoelectric structures are described. Combinations of layer materials and piezoelectric substrates for which an electroacoustic surface wave has optimal parameters of propagation (low dispersion, high electromechanical coupling coefficient, high thermal stability, low diffraction losses, etc.) are found.  相似文献

The filtering properties for a narrowband reflection-and-transmission filter in an annular defective photonic crystal containing an ultrathin and strongly lossy metallic film are theoretically investigated based on the transfer matrix method for the cylindrical Bragg waves. At a certain design wavelength, simultaneous peaks in reflectance and transmittance can be found. The peak wavelength is shown to be dependent on the azimuthal mode number of the cylindrical waves. The peak heights in reflectance and transmittance can be directly varied by the stack numbers. In addition, the influence of the starting radius in reflectance and transmittance is also illustrated.  相似文献

The existence of a shear homogeneous plane wave trapped by a strip domain moving uniformly in a tetragonal ferroelectric crystal is demonstrated. Using the nonrelativistic quasistatic approximation and a change to the moving frame of reference, the solution is obtained and the dispersion relation is derived for the spatial spectrum of the trapped wave. The uniqueness of the solution is established in the case of the multiple degeneracy of the roots of the characteristic equation when the trapped wave contains an attached wave in the strip domain. The trapped wave is shown to correspond to the antisymmetric mode of the electroacoustic wave of the strip domain at the initial point of the spectrum branch. The specific features of the spatial resonance of the trapped wave with a shear wave obliquely incident on the strip domain are considered.  相似文献

We present developments of stochastic webs in a linear oscillator which is driven by a finite number (N) of external waves with frequency ω0 (harmonic of the linear oscillator frequency). The expansion of the stochastic domain as functions of the number of waves and their amplitudes is studies numerically. The results with small amplitude waves compares well with the perturbation theory. When the amplitude of external waves is small a leaf structure which expands with N develops radially in the phase space.  相似文献

The propagation of terahertz waves in a dust acoustic wave is investigated numerically. By assuming a sinus profile of the dust number density in the dust acoustic waves, the transmission properties are calculated using finite difference time domain method. It shows that the dust acoustic wave can function similarly as a Bragg filter to block the terahertz waves of a certain wavelength. The bandwidth of the filter depends on the density profile of the dust acoustic wave.  相似文献

The spectrum of coupled spin and electromagnetic waves is obtained for a magnetic with a ferromagnetic spiral structure determined by nonuniform exchange and relativistic interactions. It is shown that resonant interaction between spin and electromagnetic waves is possible. We theoretically investigate the dynamics of stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in a short fiber Fabry-Perot resonator with reflection mirrors. The analysis is based on the coherent six-wave model including an optical Kerr effect and the linear cavity detunings for the pump and created Stokes waves are taken into account in the formulation. The instabilities including periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic oscillations can occur owing to the Kerr effect even if the fiber resonator is so short as to ensure a single longitudinal-mode operation. The threshold power for SBS and the boundary power between the stable and unstable regions are numerically calculated as a function of the amplitude reflectance of mirrors for different cavity detunings. The dynamics of SBS and these two critical powers depend on the amplitude reflectance and the cavity detuning. Although an increase in the mirror reflectance decreases the threshold power for SBS, it may limit the utility of SBS since the stable region is narrow and the output power levels of the pump and Stokes waves are low.  相似文献

The spectral properties of magnetostatic waves in a ferromagnet with a moving periodic domain structure are considered within the exchange-free magnetostatic approximation. It is demonstrated that the Doppler frequency shift caused by the domain-wall motion leads to the splitting of the spectrum of each magnetostatic wave mode into two dispersion branches, namely, into high-frequency and low-frequency branches. It is established that the larger the mode number, the larger the separation between these branches with respect to the mode spectrum in the presence of the static domain structure.  相似文献

The optical properties of one-dimensional photonic crystals based on porous anodic aluminum oxide films have been studied by measuring transmittance and specular reflectance spectra in the visible and UV spectral regions. Angular dependences of the spectral positions of optical stop bands are obtained. It is shown that the reflectance within the first stop band varies from point to point on the sample surface, reaching a level of 98–99% at some points. The dispersion relation for electromagnetic waves in the model of infinite periodic structure is calculated for the samples under study. The possibility of using models with an infinite or finite number of layers to calculate reflectance spectra near the first optical stop band is discussed.  相似文献

The propagation of shear waves in a tetragonal ferroelectric with a moving superlattice of 180° domain walls (DW) is considered in a quasistatic approximation. It is found that the spectrum of shear waves consists of alternating allowed and forbidden bands in both cases of static and moving superlattices. It is shown that, due to the Doppler shift in the wave eigenfrequencies, the motion of the DW superlattice causes the degenerate roots of the dispersion equation to split and the splitting increases with the vibration mode number. The acoustic nonreciprocity induced by the moving DW superlattice in the ferroelectric is discussed.  相似文献
