We investigate the inclusive photoproduction of J/ψ mesons at HERA within the framework of the k
T
-factorization QCD approach. Our study is based on the color singlet model supplemented with the relevant off-shell matrix
elements and the CCFM and KMR unintegrated gluon densities in a proton and in a photon. Both the direct and resolved photon
contributions are taken into account. Our predictions are compared with the recent experimental data taken by the H1 and ZEUS
collaborations. Special attention is put on the J/ψ polarization parameters λ and ν, which are sensitive to the production dynamics. 相似文献

A c-cut Tm:YAP laser which operated at 1.94 or 1.99 μm is reported in detail. The maximum output power was 20.4 and 19.8 W at
the wavelength around 1.99 and 1.94 μm, corresponding to the slope efficiency of 34.3 and 31.5%, respectively. For 1.94 μm
operation, with an F-P etalon inserted in the cavity, the output central wavelength was stable around 1.94 μm with about 0.15
nm linewidth. The beam quality factor M
2 was measured to be ∼1.8 for 1.99 μm and ∼1.9 for 1.94 μm. 相似文献

The quest for μ → eγ is one of the most important endeavors to search for New Physics beyond the Standard Model. In this talk I will review the current status of the experimental searches by the MEG Collaboration at PSI. I will also present a study of the experimental limiting factors that will define the ultimate performances, and hence the sensitivity, in the search for μ → eγ with continuous muon beams of extremely high rate (one or even two orders of magnitude larger than the present beams), whose construction is under consideration for the next decade. 相似文献

A symmetry analysis of ordering in lithium nickelite Li1?x?zNi1+xO2 (Li1?x?z□yNi1+xO2) was performed with regard to the substitution of Li and Ni atoms and the occurrence of structural vacancies □ in the metal sublattice. For all the ordered phases, the k 9 (3) ray of the Lifshitz {k9} star is present in the order-disorder transition channel. This ray determines the consecutive alternation of atomic planes filled with only Ni atoms or only Li atoms and vacancies in the \([1\bar 11]_{B1} \) direction. It was shown that the rhombohedral ordered LiNiO2 phase is formed in the defect-free lithium nickelite, whereas a family of three monoclinic Li3□Ni4O8 (C2/m space group) and Li2□Ni3O6 (C2/m and C2 space groups) superstructures arises as the concentration of structural vacancies increases. For all the superstructures, the order-disorder phase-transition channels were determined and the distribution functions of Li and Ni atoms have been calculated. The long-range order parameters describing each superstructure were found as functions of the Li1?x? zNi1+xO2 composition. 相似文献

The local structure and charged state of metal atoms in the CuCrS2 matrix and CuCr1 − x
V
x
S2 solid solutions of substitution of vanadium for chromium (0 < x < 0.25) are studied by x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAFS) using synchrotron radiation. According to XANES spectra (near-edge
fine structures), introducing vanadium does not change the charged state of matrix elements and they exist as Cu(1+), Cr(3+),
V(3+), and S(2−) in the solid solution. According to EXAFS spectra (extended fine structures), introducing vanadium slightly
distorts the local structures of both Cr and Cu atoms (to a greater extent for copper than for chromium). The XAFS analysis
data show that vanadium only partially filled vacant positions (specified by the composition of the initial mixture) in the
chromium sublattice, the majority of them being located in irregular positions of slightly distorted octahedrons consisting
of sulphur atoms. It is shown that the substitution effect leads to deformation (compression) of the lattices of CuCr1 − x
V
x
S2 samples without changing their crystallochemical structures and symmetries, but changes their magnetic structures. 相似文献

Spectral dependence of the absorption coefficient of the CdSe x S1 – x nanocrystals in silicate glass with different perfections of crystalline lattice is experimentally studied. In a hydrodynamic model, we have studied J/ψ production in Au+Au/Cu+Cu collisions at RHIC energy,
GeV. At the initial time, J/ψ’s are randomly distributed in the fluid. As the fluid evolves in time, the free streaming J/ψ’s are dissolved if the local fluid temperature exceeds a threshold temperature T
J/ψ
. Sequential melting of charmonium states (χ
c
, ψ
′ and J/ψ), with melting temperatures
, T
J/ψ
≈2T
c
and feed-down fraction F≈0.3, explains the PHENIX data on the centrality dependence of J/ψ suppression in Au+Au collisions. J/ψ
p
T
spectra and the nuclear modification factor in Au+Au collisions are also well explained in the model. The model however overpredicts
the centrality dependence of J/ψ suppression in Cu+Cu collisions by 20–30%. The J/ψ
p
T
spectra are underpredicted by 20–30%. The model predicts that in central Pb+Pb collisions at LHC energy,
GeV, J/ψ’s are suppressed by a factor of ∼10. The model predicted a J/ψ
p
T

Nano-octahedra of cobalt ferrite Co x Fe3???xO4 (1?≤?x?<?2), with a broad size distribution around 15–20 nm, were synthesized by a hydrothermal method using nitrates as precursors. For the first time, single-phased nano-octahedra of cobalt-rich ferrite Co x Fe3???xO4 (x?=?1.5) were synthesized. The nano-octahedra are crystallized in a normal spinel structure, with tetrahedral sites occupied by Co2+. This specific octahedral shape was obtained with anionic, cationic, and nonionic surfactants. The nature of the surfactant influenced the chemical composition of the powder and the size of the nano-octahedra. The {100} truncation of the octahedra is more pronounced for the small particles. For the first time, single-phased nanoparticles with as much as x?=?1.8 cobalt were synthesized with ethylene glycol as solvent. These nanoparticles, around 8 nm in size, have no specific shape and possess a lacunar spinel structure similar to maghemite. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive spectroscopy. 相似文献

The Mössbauer studies on 57Fe nuclei in multiferroics BiFe1 – x Cr x O3 (x = 0.05, 0.10, and 0.20) have been performed at room temperature. The multiferroics BiFe1 – x Cr x O3 (x = 0.05, 0.10, and 0.20) with the rhombohedral R3c structure have been prepared by solid-state synthesis under high pressures. The effect of substitution of Cr cations for Fe cations on the spatial spin-modulated structure, and also hyperfine electrical and magnetic interactions of 57Fe nuclei has been studied. The substituted ferrites demonstrate an anharmonic modulated spin structure of cycloid type, in which iron atoms with different cation environments take part. The anharmonism parameter of the cycloid linearly increases from m = 0.10 at x = 0 to m = 0.78 ± 0.02 at x = 0.20. The constants of magnetic uniaxial anisotropy K u are estimated at room temperature: K u ≈ 0.36 × 106 erg/cm3 at x = 0 and K u ≈ 4.22 × 106 erg/cm3 at x = 0.20. 相似文献

The hyperfine splittings in heavy quarkonia are studied in a model-independent way using experimental data on dielectron widths.
Relativistic correlations are taken into account together with the smearing of spin-spin interaction. The radius of smearing
is fixed by known G/ψ−η
c(1S), ψ(2S)−η
c′(2S) splittings, which appears to be small, r
ss ≅ 0.06 fm. Nevertheless, even with such a small radius, substantial suppression of hyperfine splittings (∼50%) is observed
in bottomonium. For nS b
states (n = 1, 2, ..., 6), our predicted splittings (in MeV) are 28, 12, 10, 5, 6, 3. For the 3S and 4S charmonium states, the splittings 16(2) and 12(4) MeV are obtained.

The lepton-flavor violating process J/ψ→ll′(l≠l′) serves as an ideal place to probe the unparticle theory. Such a process can only occur at loop level in the Standard model
(SM), so that should be very suppressed; by contrast, in the unparticle scenario, it happens at tree level and its contribution
may be sizable for practical measurement. Moreover, the BESIII will offer the largest database on J/ψ, which makes more accurate measurements possible. Furthermore, for such purely leptonic decays the background is relatively
low and the signal would be cleaner. Our work carefully investigates the possibility of observing such processes from both

The Knight shift 207Ks for the 207Pb nuclei in the metal phase of the oxides BaPb1?xBixO3 (x < 0.35) has been analyzed as a function of the concentration. The shift, which is proportional to the density of states near the Fermi energy: 207Ks ~ N(EF), reaches a maximum for an oxide with the maximum superconducting transition temperature Tc(x ≈ 0.25) = 12 K. A significant increase in the width of the shift distribution with the Bi concentration testifies to the formation of a nonuniform state of the electronic system in the conduction band of superconducting oxides, which is accompanied by an increase in short-wavelength contributions to the spin susceptibility. To detect the 207Pb NMR spectra in superconducting oxides with x > 0.2, the 17O-207Pb spin-echo double-resonance method is used, which provides successful detection of the 207Pb NMR signal with an anomalously high rate of spin-spin relaxation T 2 ?1 > 500 ms?1. Thus, fundamental restrictions arising in investigations of rapidly relaxing 207Pb nuclei, which are “unobservable” in superconducting oxides BaPb1?xBixO3 when they are studied by traditional single-resonance methods of pulse NMR spectroscopy, have been overcome. 相似文献

The results of experiments on electrical conductivity and magnetic properties of thin cobalt-doped zinc oxide films are reported.
The results indicate the predominance of the hoping conduction mechanism at low temperatures and the band mechanism at high
temperatures. An increase in the cobalt concentration from 1.5 to 6.3 at % leads to the reduction of the electrical conductivity
of the films. The contribution of hopping conduction to the conductivity increases due to a decrease in the crystallinity
of the films and localization of a part of electron states upon an increase in the cobalt concentration. For cobalt-containing
films, a hysteresis of the magnetic moment as a function of the magnetic field is observed. The dependence of the shape of
the magnetization curves on the cobalt concentration is irregular. The paramagnetic contribution to the magnetic susceptibility
