We examine the reflection and transmission phenomena of quasi-longitudinal plane(QP) waves in an AlN-ZnO laminated composite structure. The structure is designed under the influence of the initial stresses in which one carrier piezoelectric semiconductor(PSC) half-space is in welded contact with another PSC half-space.The secular equations in the transversely isotropic PSC material are derived from the general dynamic equation, taking the initial stresses into consideration. It is shown that the incident quasi-longitudinal wave(QP-mode) at the interface generates four types of reflected and transmitted waves, namely, QP wave, quasi-transverse(QSV) wave,electric-acoustic(EA) wave, and carrier plane(CP) wave. The algebraic equations are obtained by imposing the boundary conditions on the common interface of the laminated structure. Reflection and transmission coefficients of waves are obtained by implementing Cramer's rule. Profound impacts of the initial stresses and exterior electric biasing field on the reflection and transmission coefficients of waves are investigated and presented graphically. 相似文献

The reflection and transmission of the thermo-elastic coupled waves at an interface of two different couple stress elastic solids are studied in this paper. Based on the Green-Lindsay theory, the governing equations and the constitutive equations are derived. Different from the classic elastic solid, the interface conditions include the surface couple, the rotation angle, the heat flux and the temperature change. The interface conditions are used to obtain the linear algebraic equations set from which the amplitude ratios of reflection and transmission waves to the incident wave can be determined. Then, the normal energy flux conservation is used to validate the numerical results. At last, the influences of two characteristic relaxation times and the five kinds of thermally and micromechanically interface conditions are discussed based on the numerical results. It is found that the thermal wave effects affect only the longitudinal wave while the couple stress effects affect only the transverse waves. The thermo-elastic coupling makes the longitudinal wave and the thermal wave not only dispersive but also attenuated. 相似文献

The propagation of plane vertical transverse waves at an interface of a semi-infinite piezoelectric elastic medium under the
influence of the initial stresses is discussed. The free surface of the piezoelectric elastic medium is considered to be adjacent
to vacuum. We assumed that the piezoelectric material is anisotropic of the type of a transversely isotropic crystals (hexagonal
crystal structure, class 6 mm). For an incident of vertical transverse plane wave, four types (two for the displacement and
two for the electric potential) of reflected plane waves, called quasi-longitudinal (qP) and quasi-shear vertical (qSV) waves are shown to be exist. The relations governing the reflection coefficients of these reflected waves for various boundary
conditions (mixed-free-fixed) are derived. It has been shown analytically that reflected coefficients of (qP) and (qSV) waves depend upon the angle of incidence, the parameters of electric potential, the material constants of the medium as
well as the initial stresses presented in the medium. The numerical computations of reflection coefficients for different
values of initial stresses have been carried out by computer for aluminum nitride (AlN) as an example and the results are
given in the form of graphs. Finally, particular cases are considered in the absence of the initial stresses and the electric
potential. Some of earlier studies have been compared to the special cases and shown good agreement with them. 相似文献

This paper is devoted to study a problem of reflection and refraction of quasi-longitudinal waves under initial stresses at
an interface of two anisotropic piezoelectric media with different properties. One of the two media is aluminum nitride, which
is considered the down piezoelectric medium and the above medium is chosen as PZT-5H ceramics. The two piezoelectric media
welded are assumed to be anisotropic of a type of a transversely isotropic crystals (hexagonal crystal structure, class 6 mm).
The equations of motion and constitutive relations for the piezoelectric media have been written. Suitable boundary conditions
are used to obtain the reflection and refraction coefficients. For an incidence of quasi-longitudinal plane waves, four independent-type
amplitude ratios of elastic displacement components for plane waves, called quasi-longitudinal (qP) and quasi-shear vertical
(qSV) waves, are shown to exist. Also, it is observed that there exist four dependent amplitude ratios of electric potential,
which are proportional to the previous four types. Finally, it is found that the coefficients of reflection and refraction
are functions of angle of incidence, elastic constants, piezoelectric potential parameters and the initial stresses. Numerical
computations and the results obtained are depicted graphically. In the end, a particular case has been reduced from the present
study. This investigation is considered important because the initial stresses in such practical problems are inevitable and
may result in frequency shift, a change in the velocity of surface waves and controlling the selectivity of a filter compensation
of the devices. 相似文献

The reflection and transmission of elastic waves through a couple-stress elastic slab that is sandwiched between two couple-stress elastic half-spaces are studied in this paper. Because of the couple-stress effects, there are three types of elastic waves in the couple-stress elastic solid, two of which are dispersive. The interface conditions between two couple-stress solids involve the surface couple and rotation apart from the surface traction and displacement. The nontraditional interface conditions between the slab and two solid half-spaces are used to obtain the linear algebraic equation sets from which the amplitude ratios of reflection and transmission waves to the incident wave can be determined. Then, the energy fluxes carried by the various reflection and transmission waves are calculated numerically and the normal energy flux conservation is used to validate the numerical results. The special case, couple-stress elastic slab sandwiched by the classical elastic half-spaces, is also studied and compared with the situation that the classical elastic slab sandwiched by the classical elastic half-spaces. Incident longitudinal wave (P wave) and incident transverse wave (SV wave) are both considered. The influences of the couple-stress are mainly discussed based on the numerical results. It is found that the couple-stress mainly influences the transverse modes of elastic waves. 相似文献

The reflection and transmission properties of thermo-elastic waves at five possible interfaces between two different strain gradient thermo-elastic solids are investigated based on the generalized thermo-elastic theory without energy dissipation(the GN theory). First, the function of free energy density is postulated and the constitutive relations are defined. Then, the temperature field and the displacement field are obtained from the motion equation in the form of displacement and the thermal transport equation without energy dissipation in the strain gradient thermo-elastic solid. Finally, the five types of thermo-elastic interfacial conditions are used to calculate the amplitude ratios of the reflection and transmission waves with respect to the incident wave. Further, the reflection and transmission coefficients in terms of energy flux ratio are calculated and the numerical results are validated by the energy conservation along the normal direction. It is found that there are five types of dispersive waves, namely the coupled longitudinal wave(the CP wave), the coupled thermal wave(the CT wave), the shear wave, and two evanescent waves(the coupled SP wave and SS wave), that become the surface waves at an interface. The mechanical interfacial conditions mainly influence the coupled CP waves, SV waves, and surface waves, while the thermal interfacial conditions mainly influence the coupled CT waves. 相似文献

This work is concerned with the wave propagation and their reflection and transmission from a plane interface between two different electro-microelastic solid half-spaces in perfect contact. It is found that there exist five basic waves in an infinite electro-microelastic solid, namely an independent longitudinal micro-rotational wave, two sets of coupled longitudinal waves influenced by the electric effect, and two sets of coupled transverse waves. The existence of the two sets of coupled longitudinal waves is new. In the absence of microstretch and electric effects, these two coupled longitudinal waves reduce to a longitudinal displacement wave of micropolar elasticity. Amplitude and energy ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves are presented when (i) a set of coupled longitudinal wave is made incident and (ii) a set of coupled transverse wave is made incident. Numerical computations have been performed for a particular model and the variations of amplitude and energy ratios are obtained against the angle of incidence. The results obtained are depicted graphically. It has been verified that the sum of energy ratios is equal to unity at the interface and the amplitude ratios of reflected and transmitted waves depend upon the angle of incidence, frequency and elastic properties of the media. Results of some earlier workers have also been reduced from the present formulation.

The dynamic interaction of two collinear interface cracks between two dissimilar functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material strips subjected to the anti-plane shear harmonic stress waves was investigated. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of a pair of triple integral equations in which the unknown variable is jump of displacement across the crack surfaces. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the functionally graded parameter, the circular frequency of the incident waves and the thickness of the strip upon stress, electric displacement and magnetic flux intensity factors of cracks. 相似文献

The behavior of four parallel symmetry permeable interface cracks in a piezoelectric layer bonded to two half-piezoelectric spaces under anti-plane shear loading is investigated. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of triple integral equations. These equations are solved by the Schmidt method. This process is quite different from that papers adopted previously. The normalized stress and electrical displacement intensity factors are determined for different geometric and property parameters for permeable crack surface conditions. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the geometry of the interacting cracks, the thickness and the materials constants of the piezoelectric layer upon the stress and electric displacement intensity factors of the cracks. It is found that the electric displacement intensity factors for the permeable crack surface conditions are much smaller than the results for the impermeable crack surface conditions. 相似文献

In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a Griffith crack in a piezoelectric material strip subjected to the harmonic anti-plane shear waves is investigated by use of the non-local theory for impermeable crack surface conditions. To overcome the mathematical difficulties, a one-dimensional non-local kernel is used instead of a two-dimensional one for the anti-plane dynamic problem to obtain the stress and the electric displacement near at the crack tip. By means of the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. Contrary to the classical solution, it is found that no stress and electric displacement singularity is present near the crack tip. The non-local dynamic elastic solutions yield a finite hoop stress near the crack tip, thus allowing for a fracture criterion based on the maximum dynamic stress hypothesis. The finite hoop stress at the crack tip depends on the crack length, the thickness of the strip, the circular frequency of incident wave and the lattice parameter. 相似文献

This study is concerned with the treatment of the dynamic behavior of interacting cracks in a piezoelectric layer bonded to two dissimilar piezoelectric half planes subjected to harmonic anti-plane shear waves. The permeable electric boundary condition is considered. By use of the Fourier transform technique, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations in which the unknown variables are the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces are expanded in two series of Jacobi polynomials. The electromechanical behavior of two pairs of unequal parallel cracks was determined. Numerical examples are provided to show the effects of the geometry of the cracks, the frequency of the incident waves and materials properties upon the dynamic stress intensity factors (DSIFs) and the electric displacement intensity factors. 相似文献
