加权正则函数的一些性质

正则函数是Clifford分析中的一类重要函数,加权正则函数是正则函数的进一步发展,也是一类重要的函数,因此具有一定的研究意义.在正则函数的研究基础上,并利用加权正则函数自身的性质,讨论了加权正则函数的平均值定理,最大模原理,Weierstrass定理以及一些其它推论.     

求解全局最优问题的多重点样本水平值估计的相对熵算法

研究有界闭箱约束下的全局最优化问题,利用相对熵及广义方差函数方程的最大根与全局最小值之间的等价关系,设计求解全局最优值的积分型水平值估计算法.对采用重点样本采样技巧产生的函数值按一定规则进行聚类,从而在各聚类中产生的若干新重点样本,结合相对熵算法,构造出多重点样本进行全局搜索的新算法.该算法的优点在于每次迭代选用当前较好的函数值信息,以达到随机搜索到更好的函数值信息.同时多重点样本可有利挖掘出更好的全局信息.一系列的数值实验表明该算法是非常有效的.     

A Nonlinear Scalarization Function and Generalized Quasi-vector Equilibrium Problems

Scalarization method is an important tool in the study of vector optimization as corresponding solutions of vector optimization problems can be found by solving scalar optimization problems. In this paper we introduce a nonlinear scalarization function for a variable domination structure. Several important properties, such as subadditiveness and continuity, of this nonlinear scalarization function are established. This nonlinear scalarization function is applied to study the existence of solutions for generalized quasi-vector equilibrium problems. This paper is dedicated to Professor Franco Giannessi for his 68th birthday

概周期函数论是由Ｈ．Ｂｏｈｒ在本世纪二十年代初期创立的．作为一种结构性质，函数的概周期性可以说是函数的周期性的推广．随着现代科学技术的不断发展，对于函数的这一性质的研究已经在实际应用中越来越显示出它的重要意义，特别是在微分动力系统的研究中占有非常重要的地位．本文介绍概周期函数的概念，并推出一些重要的性质     

On the differentiability of the support function

The support function is strongly related to the cost function in economics. Because the differentiability of the cost function is an important property, being related to the celebrated Shephard’s lemma, our propose is to study the differentiability of the support function of a nonempty closed and convex subset of a finite dimensional normed space. So we provide characterizations of the differentiability of the support function on three subsets of its domain.     

Global complexification of real analytic globally subanalytic functions

We show that a globally subanalytic function that is real analytic can be extended in a globally subanalytic way to a holomorphic function. We also establish a parametric version of this result. For other important ominimal structures, we show that unary definable real analytic functions can be extended definably to a holomorphic function.

A Characterization of the Interval Function of a (Finite or Infinite) Connected Graph

By the interval function of a finite connected graph we mean the interval function in the sense of H. M. Mulder. This function is very important for studying properties of a finite connected graph which depend on the distance between vertices. The interval function of a finite connected graph was characterized by the present author. The interval function of an infinite connected graph can be defined similarly to that of a finite one. In the present paper we give a characterization of the interval function of each connected graph.

The polynomial-like iterative equation for PM functions

The polynomial-like iterative equation is an important form of functional equations, in which iterates of the unknown function are linked in a linear combination. Most of known results were given for the given function to be monotone. We discuss this equation for continuous solutions in the case that the given function is a PM(piecewise monotone) function, a special class of non-monotonic functions. Using extension method, we give a general construction of solutions for the polynomial-like iterative equation.     

The C*-Algebra of a Function Algebra

We associate to each function algebra a C*-algebra and investigate its properties. We are particularly interested in those of its properties that are important for the Toeplitz operator theory on Hardy spaces of representing measures of the function algebra.     

A note on sums of products of Bernoulli numbers

In this work we obtain a new approach to closed expressions for sums of products of Bernoulli numbers by using the relation of values at non-positive integers of the important representation of the multiple Hurwitz zeta function in terms of the Hurwitz zeta function.     

A DIFFERENTIABLE CANTOR-LIKE FUNCTION

the Cantor function is one of the most important and useful exaraples in real function theory. Recently there are a lot of research on differentiable Cantor-like functions, but the methods involved are not elementary. In this note a differentiable Cantor-like function was given by an elementary method.     

关于weierstrass逼近定理的几点注记

Weierstrass逼近定理是函数逼近论中的重要定理之一,定理阐述了闭区间上的连续函数可以用一多项式去逼近.将该定理进行推广:即使一个函数是几乎处处连续的,也不一定具有与连续函数相类似的逼近性质,但是一个处处不连续的函数却有可能具有这样的性质.证明了定义在闭区间上且与连续函数几乎处处相等的函数具有类似的逼近性质,并给出了weierstrass逼近定理的一个推广应用.     

Bonferroni-type inequalities and binomially bounded functions

We present a unified approach to an important subclass of Bonferroni-type inequalities by considering the so-called binomially bounded functions. Our main result associates with each binomially bounded function a Bonferroni-type inequality. By appropriately choosing this function, several well-known and new results are deduced in a concise and unified way.     

Solving combinatorial problems with combined Min-Max-Min-Sum objective and applications

The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study a new class of combinatorial optimization problems in which the objective function is the algebraic sum of a bottleneck cost function (Min-Max) and a linear cost function (Min-Sum). General algorithms for solving such problems are described and general complexity results are derived. A number of examples of application involving matchings, paths and cutsets, matroid bases, and matroid intersection problems are examined, and the general complexity results are specialized to each of them. The interest of these various problems comes in particular from their strong relation to other important and difficult combinatorial problems such as: weighted edge coloring of a graph; optimum weighted covering with matroid bases; optimum weighted partitioning with matroid intersections, etc. Another important area of application of the algorithms given in the paper is bicriterion analysis involving a Min-Max criterion and a Min-Sum one.     

Quasi-interpolations with interpolation property

Interpolation and quasi-interpolation are very important methods for function approximation. But both of them have their respective disadvantages. The interpolation function can fit the given sample points, but some oscillation may arise as in the case of the Lagrange interpolation. The quasi-interpolation function, for example, the Bernstein quasi-interpolation function, satisfies the convergence condition, but does not keep fitting the given sample points. In this paper, we present a method to construct a quasi-interpolation operator with certain interpolation property.

An addition formula for the Jacobian theta function and its applications

In this paper, we prove an addition formula for the Jacobian theta function using the theory of elliptic functions. It turns out to be a fundamental identity in the theory of theta functions and elliptic function, and unifies many important results about theta functions and elliptic functions. From this identity we can derive the Ramanujan cubic theta function identity, Winquist's identity, a theta function identities with five parameters, and many other interesting theta function identities; and all of which are as striking as Winquist's identity. This identity allows us to give a new proof of the addition formula for the Weierstrass sigma function. A new identity about the Ramanujan cubic elliptic function is given. The proofs are self contained and elementary.
