Naphthyl groups are widely used as building blocks for the self-assembly of supramolecular crystal networks. Host–guest complexation of cucurbit[8]uril (Q[8]) with two guests NapA and Nap1 in both aqueous solution and solid state has been fully investigated. Experimental data indicated that double guests resided within the cavity of Q[8], generating highly stable homoternary complexes NapA2@Q[8] and Nap12@Q[8]. Meanwhile, the strong hydrogen-bonding and π···π interaction play critical roles in the formation of 1D supramolecular chain, as well as 2D and 3D networks in solid state.  相似文献

Host–guest complexes of cucurbit[n=5–8]uril and some examples of ortho substituted pyridines or aminopyridines were examined by 1H NMR spectroscopy. Portal binding of two ortho aminopyridine free bases, by cucurbit[5]uril, was observed in 1H NMR spectra. Combined cavity and portal binding in cucurbit[6]uril were observed for both the free base 2-aminomethylpyridine, ampy, the HCl salt, ampy·1HCl, and the salt of 2,2′-bispyridine, bpy·1HCl. Two novel complexes were formed with cucurbit[6]uril. The free base ampyas a dual occupant, formed a 2:1 complex, and bpy·1HCl formed a stable asymmetric 1:1 complex. Only portal binding of 2,6-bisaminomethylpyridine and its salts was observed for cucurbit[6]uril. Fast exchange of the free base and pyridineammonium salts was observed for cucurbit[7-8]uril.This revised version was published online in July 2005 with a corrected issue number.  相似文献

Theranostics play an important role in cancer treatment due to its realized real-time tracking of therapeutic efficacy in situ. In this work, we have designed and synthesized a terpyridine-modified pillar [5]arenes (TP5). By the coordination of terpyridine and Zn2+, the complex TP5/Zn was obtained. Then, supramolecular amphiphile can be constructed by using host–guest complexation between a polyethylene glycol contained guest (PM) and TP5/Zn. Combining the fluorescence properties from the terpyridine group and the amphiphilicity from the system, the obtained TP5/Zn/PM can further be self-assembled into fluorescent particles with diameters of about 150 nm in water. The obtained particles can effectively load anti-cancer drugs and realize living cell imaging and a precise release of the drugs.  相似文献

The ability of two water‐soluble acyclic cucurbit[n]uril (CB[n]) type containers, whose hydrophobic cavity is defined by a glycoluril tetramer backbone and terminal aromatic (benzene, naphthalene) sidewalls, to act as solubilizing agents for hydrocarbons in water is described. 1H NMR spectroscopy studies and phase‐solubility diagrams establish that the naphthalene‐walled container performs as well as, or better than, CB[7] and CB[8] in promoting the uptake of poorly soluble hydrocarbons into aqueous solution through formation of host–hydrocarbon complexes. The naphthalene‐walled acyclic CB[n] container is able to extract large hydrocarbons from crude oil into aqueous solution.  相似文献

Supramolecular chemistry has become a central theme in chemical and biological sciences over the last decades. Supramolecular structures are being increasingly used in biomedical applications, particularly in devices requiring specific stimuli-responsiveness. Fullerenes, and supramolecular assemblies thereof, have gained great visibility in biomedical sciences and engineering. Sensitive and selective methods are required for the study of their inclusion in complexes in various application fields. With this in mind, two new fluorescent bis-calix[4]arene-carbazole conjugates (4 and 5) have been designed. Herein, their synthesis and ability to behave as specific hosts for fullerenes C60 and C70 is described. The optical properties of the novel compounds and their complexes with C60 and C70 were thoroughly studied by UV-Vis and steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopies. The association constants (Ka) for the complexation of C60 and C70 by 4 and 5 were determined by fluorescence techniques. A higher stability was found for the C70@4 supramolecule (Ka = 5.6 × 104 M−1; ΔG = −6.48 kcal/mol). Evidence for the formation of true inclusion complexes between the host 4 and C60/C70 was obtained from NMR spectroscopy performed at low temperatures. The experimental findings were fully corroborated by density functional theory (DFT) models performed on the host–guest assemblies (C60@4 and C70@4).  相似文献

Achieving strong host–guest interactions between synthetic hosts and hydrophilic guests in solution is challenging because solvation effects overwhelm other effects. To resolve this issue, we transferred complexes of cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]) and monosaccharides to the gas phase and report here their intrinsic host–guest chemistry in the absence of solvation effects. It was observed that effective host–guest interactions in the gas phase mediated by ammonium cations allow the differentiation of the monosaccharide isomers in complex with CB[7] upon vibrational excitation. The potential of the unique observation was extended to a quantitative supramolecular analytical method for the monosaccharide guests. The combination of host–guest chemistry and phase transfer presented in this study is an effective approach to overcome current limitations in supramolecular chemistry.  相似文献

Herein, we successfully develop a novel route to give rise to polarity for the pillararenes by the introduction of oxygenated functionalities into pillar[5]arene to stereoselectively synthesize the pillar[4]arene[1]cis ‐diepoxy‐p ‐dione. The construction of supramolecular systems in aqueous media is still a great challenge owing to the limited sources of building blocks. In this study, a series of 4‐aryl‐N‐methylpyridinium derivatives have been synthesized. They formed very stable host–guest (1:2) complexes with CB[8] in water (binding constants up to 1014 M ?2) with the two guest molecules arranged in a head‐to‐tail manner and the complexes showed high thermostability, which was revealed by 1H NMR and UV/Vis spectroscopic studies, ITC, and crystallographic analysis.  相似文献

研究了七元瓜环(Q[7])与抗癌药物阿糖胞苷(Ara-C)的不同质子化存在形式之间的超分子相互作用, 探讨了超分子包合作用对药物电离平衡常数及药物稳定性的影响. 结果表明, Q[7]使得Ara-C的pKa降低了约0.3个单位, Q[7]与Ara-C的2种存在形式(Ara-C+及Ara-C)均可形成1∶1的主客体包结配合物, Ara-C以其嘧啶环进入Q[7]空腔, 而核糖环位于瓜环端口发生相互作用; Q[7]与Ara-C作用后对药物起到保护性载体的作用, 从而提高了药物的稳定性.  相似文献

The interaction of cucurbit[7]uril (Q[7]) with a pro-virucide, adefovir bis(l-leucine propyl)ester (PMEA-Leu) in aqueous solutions and in solid state was studied by 1H NMR, UV absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence and IR spectroscopy. The 1H NMR revealed that the leucine propyl moiety of the compound could be entrapped in the cavity of the host Q[7], and the other moiety except for leucine propyl moieties, including aminopurine, was probably located at the portal area of Q[7]. Absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy proved that the interaction of Q[7] with PMEA-Leu led to the formation of host–guest inclusion complexes (2:1) that were controlled by the concentration of the host Q[7]. Formation of the inclusion complex between Q[7] and PMEA-Leu was confirmed by IR spectroscopy in solid state. In addition, deliquescent stability studies indicated that the moisture stability of the host–guest complex was significantly enhanced. The phenomenon was explained by the fact that the formation of solid inclusion complexes can prevent the compounds from absorbing water. Finally, bioactivity of PMEA-Leu and its inclusion complex against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) was tested. The compound PMEA-Leu and its inclusion complexes showed some inhibitory activity against TMV at 500 μg/ml in vivo.  相似文献

Zebrafish (ZF; Danio rerio) larvae have become a popular in vivo model in drug metabolism studies. Here, we investigated the metabolism of methyl 2-[1-(4-fluorobutyl)-1H-indazole-3-carboxamido]-3,3-dimethylbutanoate (4F-MDMB-BINACA) in ZF larvae after direct administration of the cannabinoid via microinjection, and we visualized the spatial distributions of the parent compound and its metabolites by mass spectrometry imaging (MSI). Furthermore, using genetically modified ZF larvae, the role of cannabinoid receptor type 1 (CB1) and type 2 (CB2) on drug metabolism was studied. Receptor-deficient ZF mutant larvae were created using morpholino oligonucleotides (MOs), and CB2-deficiency had a critical impact on liver development of ZF larva, leading to a significant reduction of liver size. A similar phenotype was observed when treating wild-type ZF larvae with 4F-MDMB-BINACA. Thus, we reasoned that the cannabinoid-induced impaired liver development might also influence its metabolic function. Studying the metabolism of two synthetic cannabinoids, 4F-MDMB-BINACA and methyl 2-(1-(5-fluoropentyl)-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carboxamido)-3,3-dimethylbutanoate (7′N-5F-ADB), revealed important insights into the in vivo metabolism of these compounds and the role of cannabinoid receptor binding.  相似文献
