Comprehensive NMR investigation of low-frequency spin dynamics of LiCu2O2 (LCO) and NaCu2O2 (NCO) low-dimensional helical magnets in the paramagnetic state has been carried out for the first time. Temperature dependences of the spin–lattice relaxation rate and anisotropy on various LCO/NCO nuclei have been determined at various orientations of single crystals in an external magnetic field. The spatial asymmetry of spin fluctuations in LCO multiferroic has been discovered. The quantitative analysis of the anisotropy of spin–lattice relaxation in LCO/NCO has allowed estimating the contributions of individual neighboring Cu2+ ions to the transferred hyperfine field on Li+(Na+) ions. 相似文献

The results of the measurements of the 6, 7Li and 23Na nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and 63, 65Cu nuclear quadrupole resonance in LiCu2O2 and NaCu2O2 quasi-one-dimensional compounds with a spin chains in the paramagnetic and magnetically ordered states are presented. The shape of the NMR line below T c = 24 and 13 K for LiCu2O2 and NaCu2O2, respectively, is characteristic of the incommensurate static modulation of the local magnetic field matching with the incommensurate spiral modulation of the magnetic moments. The differences in the shape of the NMR spectra of 23Na and 7Li are discussed in terms of the features of the crystal structure of LiCu2O2 and NaCu2O2. 相似文献

A comprehensive NMR study of the magnetic properties of single crystal LiCu2O2 (LCO) and NaCu2O2 (NCO) is carried out in the paramagnetic region of the compounds for various orientations of single crystals in an external magnetic field. The values of the electric-field gradient (EFG) tensor, as well as the dipole and transferred hyperfine magnetic fields for 63,65Cu, 7Li, and 23Na nuclei are determined. Single crystals of Pb2Fe2Ge2O9 have been grown. They were subjected to X-ray diffraction, magnetic, neutron diffraction, Mössbauer and spin resonance studies. It has been established that Pb2Fe2Ge2O9 is a weak ferromagnet with a Néel temperature T N = 46 K, and the exchange and spin-flop transition fields have been estimated. It has been demonstrated that the weak ferromagnetic moment is actually the result of the single-ion anisotropy axes for the magnetic moments of different magnetic sublattices being not collinear. 相似文献

The present study analyzes the morphological transformations of reaction products i.e., MgO, MgAl2O4 occurring during the reaction between SiO2 and Al-Mg alloy in Al-Mg-SiO2 composite processed by the liquid metallurgy technique. Different phases of platelet and hexagonal morphologies are detected
and their composition analysis by EDS has confirmed them as being transition phases existing between MgO, MgAl2O4 and Al2O3. This study has also revealed the gradual transformation of (i) MgO needles to octahedral MgAl2O4 through Mg-Al-Si-O and Mg-Al-O transition phases having platelet morphologies and (ii) MgAl2O4 to Al2O3 through hexagonal transition phases on holding of Al-5Mg-SiO2 and Al-1Mg-SiO2 composites respectively at 1023K. Fully developed α-Al2O3 crystals are not observed under the present experimental conditions, wherein the Mg content is well above the equilibrium
Mg content required for the formation of stable Al2O3 (<0.05 wt. %).

The NMR spectra of 63Cu and 65Cu natural copper isotopes in a LiCu2O2 multiferroic single crystal compound have been measured above and below the temperature of magnetic phase transition (T
c = 23 K) in zero magnetic field and in applied magnetic field H
0 = 94 kOe parallel to the c axis of the crystal. In LiCu2O2 below T
c, a complicated helical magnetic structure with the magnetic moment of copper ions Cu2+ varying along the chain according to the harmonic law with the wave vector being incommensurate to the crystal lattice constants
has been revealed. The experimental results have been successfully interpreted using the model based on the planar helical
magnetic structure. It has been found that the plane of rotation for Cu2+ magnetic moments in LiCu2O2 does not coincide at H
0 = 0 with the ab plane. The high magnetic field (H
0 = 94 kOe) applied along the c axis of the single crystal does not affect the spatial orientation of the plane of rotation. 相似文献

Thermally stimulated migration of charge carriers from trapping centers responsible for the main thermoluminescence peak at 450 K to a deep trap was experimentally observed in anion-defect α-Al2O3 crystals. Optically induced transport of carriers from the deep trap to the main trap was also observed to cause phototransferred thermoluminescence at 450 K. The results obtained experimentally confirm the adequacy of the basic assumptions made in the model of interactive interaction between main and deep traps in the crystals under study, as well as substantiate the method of repeated obtaining of dosimetric data. 相似文献

This paper reports on the results of measurements of the internal friction Q?1 and the shear modulus G of Li2B4O7 single crystals along the crystallographic directions [100] and [001] in the temperature range 300–550 K for strain amplitudes of (2–10)×10?5 at infralow frequencies. The anomalies observed in Q?1 and G in the temperature range 390–410 K are due to thermal activation of the mobility of lithium cations and their migration from one energetically equivalent position to another. A jump in the internal friction background is revealed in the vicinity of the Q?1 and G anomalies for the Li2B4O7 crystal. The magnitude of this jump depends on the crystallographic direction. 相似文献

Low-temperature (T = 7 K) time-resolved selectively photoexcited luminescence spectra (2–6 eV) and luminescence excitation spectra (8–35 eV) of wide-bandgap chrysoberyl BeAl2O4, phenacite Be2SiO4, and beryl Be3Al2Si6O18 crystals have been studied using time-resolved VUV spectroscopy. Both the intrinsic luminescence of the crystals and the luminescence associated with structural defects were assigned. Energy transfer to impurity luminescence centers in alexandrite and emerald was investigated. Lithium vanadium-borate glasses with the composition of 0.3Li2O–(0.7-x)B2O3–xV2O5 (x?=?0.3, 0.325, 0.35, 0.375, 0.4, 0.425, 0.45, and 0.475) were prepared by melt-quenching method. According to differential scanning calorimetry data, vanadium oxide acts as both glass former and glass modifier, since the thermal stability of glasses decreases with an increase in V2O5 concentration. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy data show that the vibrations of [VO4] structural units occur at V2O5 concentration of 45 mol%. It is established that the concentration of V4+ ions increases exponentially with the growth of vanadium oxide concentration. Direct and alternative current measurements are carried out to estimate the contribution both electronic and ionic conductivities to the value of total conductivity. It is shown that the electronic conductivity is predominant in the total one. The glass having the composition of 0.3Li2O-0.275B2O3-0.475V2O5 shows the highest electrical conductivity that has the value of 7.4?×?10?5 S cm?1 at room temperature. 相似文献

The EPR spectra of Cu2+ ions (2 D 5/2) located at two structurally nonequivalent positions Cu1 and Cu2 in crystals of lithium heptagermanate Li2Ge7O15 are recorded. The angular dependences of the EPR spectrum are measured in the paraelectric phase of the Li2Ge7O15 compound (T = 300 K). The components of the g factor and the hyperfine interaction tensor A are determined, and the orientation of the magnetic axes with respect to the crystallographic basis is established. The EPR spectra are recorded in the temperature range in the vicinity of the temperature T C = 283 K of the transition from the paraelectric phase to the ferroelectric phase. The position symmetry of the Cu1 and Cu2 centers is determined at temperatures above and below the phase transition temperature T C . The localization of paramagnetic centers in the structure is discussed, An analysis of the results obtained demonstrates that the Cu1 and Cu2 centers in the Li2Ge7O15 crystal lattice replace lithium ions located at two structurally nonequivalent positions with the symmetries described at temperatures above T C by the triclinic C i and monoclinic C 2 point groups, respectively. 相似文献

Polymer stabilized cholesteric texture cells with various chiral and monomer concentrations were fabricated. Electro-optical measurement indicates that the chiral concentration and the monomer concentration significantly influence the hysteresis, threshold voltage and field-on and field-off response times of the cell. The chiral dopant is found to increase the hysteresis width and to decrease the field-off response time of the cell. The monomer is found to decrease the hysteresis width and to increase the field-off response time of the cell. The reversible magnetic torque of untwinned YBa2Cu3O7 single crystals shows the four-fold symmetry in thea-b plane. The irreversible torque indicates evidence for a novel intrinsic pinning along thea andb axes. These facts mean that the free energy of the four-fold symmetry has a minimum when the field is applied along thea orb axis. The results are consistent with those expected from thed x 2?y 2 symmetry and rule out the possibility of thed xy symmetry. The Fermi surface anisotropy is not responsible for the observed anisotropy. This is firstbulk evidence for thek-dependent gap anisotropy on the Fermi surface. The two-fold anisotropy parameter is found as\(\gamma _{ab} = \sqrt {{{m_a } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{m_a } {m_b }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {m_b }}} = 1.18 \pm 0.14\). 相似文献

Spin-wave resonances have been observed in superlattices arising due to the phase separation and self-organization of charge carriers in Eu0.8Ce0.2Mn2O5 single crystals. The resonances are found within the 5–80 K temperature range at frequencies close to 30 GHz. Similar resonances with intensities about an order of magnitude lower are also observed in EuMn2O5. The latter suggests the existence of charge transfer processes between the manganese ions of different valences in EuMn2O5. 相似文献
