O6‐Corona[3]arene[3]tetraazines, a new class of macrocyclic compounds, were synthesized efficiently in a one‐pot reaction from the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction between 1,4‐dihydroxybenzene derivatives and 3,6‐dichlorotetrazine in warm acetonitrile. In the crystalline structure, the resulting macrocycles adopt highly symmetric structures of a regular hexagonal cavity with all bridging oxygen atoms and tetrazine rings located on the same plane with phenylene units orthogonally orientated. The constitutional aromatic rings are able to rotate around the macrocyclic annulus, depending on the steric effect of the substituents and temperature, in solution. The electron‐deficient nature revealed by cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, and characteristic absorbances at a visible region show the O6‐corona[3]arene[3]tetrazines to be suitable macrocyclic receptors for electron‐rich guests.  相似文献

In this work, a novel version of macrocyclic arenes, namely leaning pillar[6]arenes, was discovered and it can be considered as a tilted version of a pillar[6]arene with two hydroxy/alkoxy functionalities removed. Through a facile two‐step synthetic approaches, in conjunction with a diversity of post‐modification possibilities, a series of leaning pillar[6]arenes, with good cavity adaptability and enhanced guest‐binding capability, was synthesized, and their self‐assembly in single‐crystal states is presented. DFT calculations demonstrated that the lower rotational barrier of unsubstituted phenylene rings, the uneven electron density centered at the leaning phenyl rings, and the polarization effect along the edge generated by the hydrogen‐bond‐induced orientation of hydroxy groups greatly affected the host‐guest properties, and meanwhile provided an intuitive explanation for the pillar‐like and rigid structure of traditional pillar[6]arenes. Significantly, the crystal structure of cyclo‐oligomeric quinone was obtained by direct oxidation of leaning pillar[6]arenes.  相似文献

Heteroatom-bridged dichlorinated calix[2]arene[2]triazines, which were synthesized from the fragment coupling reactions of cyanuric chloride and various aromatic dinucleophiles, are a unique type of platform for the construction of functional macrocyclic host molecules. Utilizing a very convenient and straightforward nucleophilic displacement reaction of dichlorinated tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine by various chelating group-containing amines, a number of functionalized tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazines on the larger rim were efficiently synthesized in good yields. The resulting tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazines armed with two 2,2'-bi(pyridinyl)amino or two bis(2-pyridinemethyl)amino groups selectively formed 1:1 complexes with Cu2+ ion through most probably a chelating interaction effect.  相似文献

Although the chemistry of macrocyclic arenes has seen rapid development in recent years, the synthesis of new macrocyclic arenes from aromatic rings with no directing groups remains a challenge. In this work, a new macrocyclic arene, naphth[4]arene (NA[4]A), composed of four naphthalene rings bridged by methylene groups, was synthesized using macrocycle-to-macrocycle conversion. NA[4]A shows 1,3-alternate and 1,2-alternate conformations in the solid state, which can be selectively obtained. By supramolecular co-assembly of NA[4]A and 1,2,4,5-tetracyanobenzene (TCNB) in different concentrations and temperatures, two conformation-dependent crystalline luminescent co-assemblies 1,2-NTC and 1,3-NTC can be selectively prepared. Interestingly, the two charge-transfer crystalline assemblies containing NA[4]A with different conformations show bright yellow and green fluorescence, and also display high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) of 45 % and 43 %. Furthermore, they exhibit color-tunable two-photon excited upconversion emission.  相似文献

The upper-rim 1,3-alternate tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine azacrowns were constructed effectively by macrocyclic condensation reaction of diamines with dichlorinated tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine intermediates that were synthesized from the stepwise fragment coupling reactions of 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid esters with cyanuric chlorides. Because of the formation of conjugation of amino groups with triazine rings, tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine azacrowns existed in a mixture of syn- and anti-isomeric forms. Both fluorescence titration and 1H NMR spectroscopic study showed that tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine azacrowns interacted with fluoride anion, leading to cavity changes of the host molecules.  相似文献

In pursuit of highly preorganized macrocyclic host molecules for the complexation of anions, a series of oxacalix[2]arene[2]pyrimidine-based bis(thio)ureido receptors were synthesized and fully characterized. The pincer-like 1,3-alternate conformation of the oxacalix[4]arene scaffold, essential for an efficient host-guest interaction, was visualized by single-crystal X-ray analysis and supported by variable-temperature NMR studies. The anion binding properties of the receptors were evaluated via (1)H NMR titration experiments, showing intermolecular interactions with H(2)PO(4)(-), AcO(-), BzO(-), and Cl(-) ions. The host molecule bearing 4-nitrophenyl substituents on the bisurea binding pocket showed association constants in the range of 200-400 M(-1) in the strongly competitive solvent mixture of DMSO/0.5% H(2)O.  相似文献

In the presence of K(2)CO(3) in refluxing THF, dichloro-substituted tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine, a readily available macrocyclic compound from cyanuric acid chloride and benzyl 1,3-dihydroxybenzoate, underwent highly efficient nucleophilic displacement reactions with bis-nucleophilic reagents of different geometry, length and chirality in a 2+2 fashion to produce large and size-tunable cavity bis-tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazines in good to excellent yields.  相似文献

We investigate the nonlinear optical (NLO) polarizations for various geometric arrangements of the dipolar chromophores in a calix[n]arene geometry. The interactions were studied by using (HF)3 as model compounds both in parallel and frustrated orientations. The interdipolar angle between the monomer molecules is varied so that many different arrangements of the dipoles can be realized which is associated with the opening up of the calix[n]arene rings. Quantum-chemical calculations at both ab initio and semiempirical levels, show that the all-parallel arrangement of the dipoles exhibit the maximum magnitude for the nonlinear optical coefficients at small interdipolar angles for all interdipolar distances. In the frustrated orientations however, the NLO response is maximum at large interdipolar angles corresponding to the flattened calix[n]arene rings. The role of hydrogen bonding in stabilizing these assemblies in various conformations has been investigated. Crystallographic database analysis for calix[3]arenes shows that optical properties in real molecular systems can be modeled based on our simple interaction theory.  相似文献

Heteracalixaromatics are an emerging generation of macrocyclic host molecules in supramolecular chemistry. As a typical example of heteracalixaromatics, oxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine adopts a shape-persistent 1,3-alternate conformation and can be easily functionalized. Taking it as a platform, a series of oxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine-based amphiphiles bearing long alkyl chains were synthesized through post-macrocyclization functionalization or 3+1 fragment coupling protocols. The self-assembly behavior of these amphiphiles in a mixture of tetrahydrofuran (THF) and water was investigated. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) measurements revealed that the size of the self-assembled aggregates is dependent on the structure of the amphiphiles. The long alkyl chain substituents and/or intermolecular hydrogen bonds were found to promote the self-assembly.  相似文献

A simple and powerful one-pot reaction method was developed for the synthesis of heteracalixaromatics. In the presence of a base, one-pot macrocyclic condensation reaction between cyanuric chloride and 1,3-phenylene diols and diamines proceeded effectively under very mild conditions to afford a number of functionalised oxygen and nitrogen-bridged calix[2]arene[2]triazines in 33–54% yields. The method was applied in a multigram-scale (14.4 g) preparation of tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine.  相似文献

Synthesis of the glutaraldehyde derivatives calix[n]arene (n = 4,6,8) (Calix[n]-GA) and using as cross-linkers for immobilization of Candida rugosa lipase (CRL) have been discussed in this paper. The amino functional calix[n]arene derivatives (Calix[n]-NH 2) were synthesized via reduction of dinitrile, hexanitrile and octanitrile derivatives of calix[n]arenes. These amino functional calix[n]arene derivatives (Calix[n]-NH 2) were converted to their aldehyde derivativatives with glutaraldehyde. The calix[n]arene derivatives were used in lipase immobilization in order to see the role of calix[n]arene binding site on the lipase activitiy and stability. The activity recovery of calix[n]arene-supported lipases (Calix[n]-CRL) based on the Calix[4]-CRL, Calix[6]-CRL and Calix[8]-CRL reaches to 53.5, 66.1 and 76.4%, respectively.  相似文献

The N-arylation of the parent azacalix[2]arene]2]triazine afforded tetra(arylaza)calix[2]arene[2]triazine in 91% yield. Despite the widespread use in industrial production, benzene derivatives are harmful to both human beings and the environment. The control of these substances has become an important subject of scientific research. This study introduces a new approach for adsorption and separation of benzene derivatives utilizing pagoda[n]arene based supramolecular materials. Density functional theory calculations were employed to investigate the molecular recognition mechanism of benzene derivatives by pagoda[4]arenes and pagoda[5]arenes (Pa[4]As and Pa[5]As). Results indicate that Pa[4]As and Pa[5]As can effectively accommodate benzene derivatives through non-covalent interactions, leading to the formation of stable host-guest complexes. Additionally, molecular dynamics simulations revealed that both crystalline and non-crystalline supramolecular aggregates of Pa[4]As and Pa[5]As possess the ability to adsorb benzene derivatives and maintain the stability of the adsorption. Moreover, increasing the temperature causes benzene derivatives to desorb from the adsorbing aggregates, and thus the material can be reutilized.  相似文献

The electrochemical properties of a series of 1,4‐dimethoxypillar[m]arene[n]quinones (DMP[m]A[n]Qs) and the interactions between individual quinone units have been investigated on glassy carbon electrode in acetonitrile. All the quinone units showed relative electron uptake behavior except 1,4‐dimethoxypillar[5]quinones (DMP[5]Q). The results have shown that the electrochemical behavior of the DMP[m]A[n]Qs is comparatively different from that of their related linear quinone analogues. The resultant properties were attributed to the close proximity of redox‐active sites as well as the delocalization of electrons on the aromatic rings. Another aspect to be considered responsible for their electronic properties was suggested to be the electrostatic repulsions between adjacent quinone units in these complex structures. Current studies provide a better understanding on the voltammetric behavior of pillararene derivatives with different numbers of quinone units as well as their future scope in certain future electrochemical applications.  相似文献
