A simple quark pair creation model is introduced to study exclusive decays of {c_J} into baryon-antibaryon pairs. With this simple model, some exclusive decay processes, for example, {c0} B¯ (B = ,0,-) are investigated and their decay widths are evaluated by inclusion of the properties of outgoing baryons, and the results show that the strengthened decay channels {c_J} ¯(J = 0, 2) are easily understood by considering only the color singlet contribution of P-wave charmonium.  相似文献

Given a Riemannian structure (M, g), a hypothesis is investigated that if= p=0 n p (M) is submitted to the differential condition (g++)=0, =mc/—which implies that each component of fulfills the Klein-Gordon equation (- 2) p =0, ought to be interpreted as a natural complex of the bosonic fields. Then it is found that the complex admits the interpretation in the sense of first quantization with (M) being a convex set of states, with the structure of a Hilbert space over . We study ergodic Jacobi matrices onl 2(Z), and prove a general theorem relating their a.c. spectrum to the spectra of periodic Jacobi matrices, that are obtained by cutting finite pieces from the ergodic potential and then repeating them. We apply this theorem to the almost Mathieu operator: (H , , u)(n)=u(n+1)+u(n–1)+ cos(2n+)u(n), and prove the existence of a.c. spectrum for sufficiently small , all irrational 's, and a.e. . Moreover, for 0<2 and (Lebesgue) a.e. pair , , we prove the explicit equality of measures: |ac|=||=4 –2.Work partially supported by the US-Israel BSF  相似文献

The reaction p K0+ was measured in the photon energy range from threshold up to 2.6 GeV with the SAPHIR detector at the electron stretcher facility, ELSA, in Bonn. Results are presented on the reaction cross-section and the polarization of the + as a function of the kaon production angle in the centre-of-mass system, cosc.m.K, and the photon energy. The cross-section is lower and varies less with photon energy and kaon production angle than that of p K+0. The + is polarized predominantly at cosc.m.K 0. The data presented here are more precise than previous ones obtained with SAPHIR and extend the photon energy range to higher values. They are compared to isobar model calculations.  相似文献

From the viewpoint of critical stability, we discuss the three- and four-body structure of 6He, 7He, 4He, and 4H. With the + + N three-body model, 6He is found to have a three-layer structure of the matter distribution: core, a skin and neutron halo. Also the level structure of 7He with the three-body model of 5He + n + n is predicted. This stimulates a new study of neutron-rich and proton-rich hypernuclei. By performing a four-body calculation with both NNN and NNN channels and with both NN and NNN channels, we show that the N-N and -N couplings are very important in critical stability of few-body hypernuclear systems.  相似文献

We derive the hydrodynamic (Euler) approximation for the harmonic time evolution of infinite classical oscillator system on one-dimensional lattice 1 It is known that equilibrium (i.e., time-invariant attractive) states for this model are translationally invariant Gaussian ones, with the mean 0, which satisfy some linear relations involving the interaction quadratic form. The natural parameter characterizing equilibrium states is the spectral density matrix function (SDMF)F(), [– , ). Time evolution of a space profile of local equilibrium parameters is described by a space-time SDMFF(t;x, ) t, xR 1. The hydrodynamic equation forF(t; x, ) which we derive in this paper means that the normal mode profiles indexed by are moving according to linear laws and are mutually independent. The procedure of deriving the hydrodynamic equation is the following: We fix an initial SDMF profileF(x, ) and a familyP ,>0 of mean 0 states which satisfy the two conditions imposed on the covariance of spins at various lattice points: (a) the covariance at points close to the value –1 x in the stateP is approximately described by the SDMFF(x, ); (b) The covariance (on large distances) decreases with distance quickly enough and uniformly in. Given nonzerotR 1, we consider the states P –1 ,>0, describing the system at the time moments –1 t during its harmonic time evolution. The spectrum of the Floquet operator associated with time-periodic perturbations of discrete Hamiltonians is considered. We employ QCD sum rules to calculate the coupling constant g by studying the three point -correlation function. Our result complements the analysis of this coupling constant utilizing the experimental value of the 00 decay rate studied within the framework of chiral perturbation theory including vector meson and meson intermediate states.  相似文献

It is shown for a one-dimensional approximation that, around a disturbance in the ion concentrationn +(x, t) in the axial direction of a cylindrical plasma, a corresponding electron distributionn (x, t) is established with such a large velocity that under the usual conditions of a discharge plasma this electron distribution follows the relatively slow changes in ion concentration practically without delay. Relation (24) then holds for the electron concentration, the parametersl 1,l D being given by Eqs. (15) and (16). As long as the disturbance of the ions isn +(x) 0, a space chargeq 0(n +-n) is produced and maintained in the plasma even if the disturbance of the equilibrium state of the plasma in the initial stage was electrically neutral (i.e.n +(x, t=0)==n (x,t=0)). The dimensions of these space charges can be many orders larger than the Debye characteristic lengthl D ; this is shown on an example of a spatially periodic curven +(x). The unique (quasi-stationary) expression of the electron concentrationn by means of the deflection of the ion concentrationn +(x, t) permits a considerable simplification of the solution of the problems connected with axially disturbing the homogeneous state of a plasma, sincen (x, t) can be eliminated from the equations of continuity of the plasma by substituting from (24), and the problem becomes that of determining the curve of the ion concentrationn + from the equations modified in this way.

The gravitational nonradiative collapse of dust configurations in the presence of electromagnetic field is analyzed in terms of exact dynamical solutions for a wide range of spacetime symmetries: cylindrical, pseudoplanar, toroidal, and also spherical, planar, and pseudospherical [when the anisotropy factor of the (x 2,x 3) surfaces,(R, T), is replaced by a massless scalar field]. The condition that the collapse is nonradiative leaves three possibilities for the coordinate dependence of(R,T) (i)=(a),a (R, T) being the scale factor of the (x 2,x 3) surfaces, (ii)=(T), and (iii)=(R). Almost all (in the meaning indicated in the text) solutions for charged dust with=(a) and for dust in the external electromagnetic field with=(T) and=(R) have been obtained and discussed. A wideranging discussion concerning the topics of papers I–III is given. Special attention is paid to the question of horizon existence and formation and also the perspective of extension of the techniques developed onto the more realistic case of axial symmetry.  相似文献

The mean square tilt angle of a nematic slab with finite anchoring energy and periodic boundary conditions has been theoretically investigated, as a function of the slab geometry and of the reduced extrapolation length. The magnetic moments of the proton drip-line nuclei13O(I = 3/2,T 1/2 = 8.6 ms) and 9C(I = 3/2,T 1/2 = 126 ms) have been determined for the first time through the combined techniques of polarized radioactive nuclear beams and-NMR detection. The observed magnetic moments are ¦(13O)¦ = 1.3891 ±0.0003 N and ¦(9C)¦ = 1.3914 ±0.0005 N. Spin expectation values are deduced to be 0.76 and 1.44 for13O and9C, respectively. While the of13O is consistent with the systematics from isospinT= 1/2 mirror pairs, the of9C is unusually large, even far larger than the single particle value, = 1.  相似文献

We study the almost Mathieu operator: (H , , u)(n)=u(n+1)+u(n-1)+ cos (2n+)u(n), onl 2 (Z), and show that for all ,, and (Lebesgue) a.e. , the Lebesgue measure of its spectrum is precisely |4–2|. In particular, for ||=2 the spectrum is a zero measure cantor set. Numerical simulations are done of Langevin dynamics for a uniform-orderparameter, field-swept Landau model,= –|a/2|m 2+|b/4|m 4mh(t) , to study hysteresis effects. The field is swept at a constant rateh(t)=h(0)+ht. The stochastic jump values of the field {hJ from an initially prepared metastable minimumm(0) are recorded, on passage to a global minimum m(). The results are: (a) The mean jump¯h J(h) increases (hysteresis loop widens) with h, confirming a previous theoretical criterion based on rate competition between field-sweep and inverse mean first-passage time (FPT); (b) The broad jump distribution(h J,h) is related to intrinsically large FPT fluctuations ( 22)/ 2 O(1), and can be quantitatively understood. The generally covariant Lagrangian densityG = + 2K matter of the Hamiltonian principle in general relativity, formulated by Einstein and Hilbert, can be interpreted as a functional of the potentialsg ikand of the gravitational and matter fields. In this general relativistic interpretation, the Riemann-Christoffel form kl i = kl i for the coefficients kl i of the affine connections is postulated a priori. Alternatively, we can interpret the LagrangianG as a functional of , gik, and the coefficients kl i . Then the kl i are determined by the Palatini equations. From these equations and from the symmetry kl i = lk i for all matter fields with /=0 the Christoffel symbols again result. However, for Dirac's bispinor fields, / becomes dependent on the Dirac current, essentially with a coupling factor Khc. In this case, the Palatini equations define a new transport rule for the spinor fields, according to which a second universal interaction results for the Dirac spinors, besides Einstein's gravitation. The generally covariant Dirac wave equations become the general relativistic nonlinear Heisenberg wave equations, and the second universal interaction is given by a Fermi-like interaction term of the V-A type. The geometrically induced Fermi constant is, however, very small and of the order 10–81erg cm3  相似文献

Intense picosecond light pulses of a mode-locked Nd: glass laser at L =1054 nm (fundamental wavelength) and SH =527 nm (second harmonic wavelength) are passed through a sample of D2O under self-focusing conditions. Spectrally structured superbroadened, spatially bell-shaped emission in the forward direction is obtained. Primary generation processes are pump-pulse-degenerate stimulated parametric four-photon interaction (1 + 1 3 + 4) and stimulated Raman scattering (1 R + ), which occur concurrently (1= L or SH angular pump frequency, #x03C9; R first Stokes frequency, #x03C9; signal frequency, #x03C9;3 signal frequency, #x03C9;4 idler frequency). The parametric four-photon interaction occurs under collinear non-phase-matched conditions and under longitudinally phase-matched, transversally non-phase-matched (erenkov-like) conditions. Subsequent interaction processes are pump-pulse-nondegenerate four-photon interaction of the type 1 + R 3 + 4, coherent antiStokes Raman scattering (CARS, 1 + 14 3), inverse Raman scattering ( A + 1 + ), and cascading light up-conversion of the type 1 + (i) R (i+1).  相似文献

We present a cosmological scenario with unstable neutrinos which decay into a light neutrino and a relativistic boson. Theoretical and observational constraints severely narrow the values of mass and of lifetime of neutrinos. However, within this range, we can construct models with (i) = 1, (ii) age of the universe 13 billion years (b.y.) and (iii)h 0 –0.5. The dynamical modeling shows that (a) the initial condensates of primordial L are disrupted by the decay, lowering their masses to acceptable values ~1012 M, (b) the relativistic boson contributes nearly 0.25 to, and (c) there emerge two prominent scales in dark matter distribution, one with a mass ~1012 M distributed over 200 kpc around galaxies and another component with density 10–27 g cm–3 distributed over 1 Mpc. The model agrees with observations at all scales.This essay received an honorable mention from the Gravity Research Foundation for 1986-Ed.  相似文献
