On simultaneous approximation by lagrange interpolating polynomials   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper considers to replace △_m(x)=(1-x~2)~2(1/2)/n +1/n~2 in the following result for simultaneousLagrange interpolating approximation with (1-x~2)~2(1/2)/n: Let f∈C_(-1.1)~0 and r=[(q+2)/2],then|f~(k)(x)-P_~(k)(f,x)|=O(1)△_(n)~(a-k)(x)ω(f~(a),△(x))(‖L_n-‖+‖L_n‖),0≤k≤q,where P_n( f ,x)is the Lagrange interpolating polynomial of degree n+ 2r-1 of f on the nodes X_nU Y_n(see the definition of the text), and thus give a problem raised in [XiZh] a complete answer.  相似文献

Suppose that $${g\left( n \right)}$$ is an additive real-valued function, W(N) = 4+ $$\mathop {\min }\limits_\lambda $$ ( λ2 + $$\sum\limits_{p < N} {\frac{1}{2}} $$ min (1, ( g(p) - λlog p)2), E(N) = 4+1 $$\sum\limits_{\mathop {p < N,}\limits_{g(p) \ne 0} } {\frac{1}{p}.} $$ In this paper, we prove the existence of constants C1, C2 such that the following inequalities hold: $\mathop {\sup }\limits_a \geqslant \left| {\left\{ {n, m, k: m, k \in \mathbb{Z},n \in \mathbb{N},n + m^2 + k^2 } \right.} \right. = \left. {\left. {N,{\text{ }}g(n) \in [a,a + 1)} \right\}} \right| \leqslant \frac{{C_1 N}}{{\sqrt {W\left( N \right)} }},$ $\mathop {\sup }\limits_a \geqslant \left| {\left\{ {n, m, k: m, k \in \mathbb{Z},n \in \mathbb{N},n + m^2 + k^2 } \right.} \right. = \left. {\left. {N,{\text{ }}g(n) = a} \right\}} \right| \leqslant \frac{{C_2 N}}{{\sqrt {E\left( N \right)} }},$ . The obtained estimates are order-sharp.  相似文献

Let fC[?1, 1]. Let the approximation rate of Lagrange interpolation polynomial of f based on the nodes $ \left\{ {\cos \frac{{2k - 1}} {{2n}}\pi } \right\} \cup \{ - 1,1\} $ be Δ n + 2(f, x). In this paper we study the estimate of Δ n + 2(f,x), that keeps the interpolation property. As a result we prove that $$ \Delta _{n + 2} (f,x) = \mathcal{O}(1)\left\{ {\omega \left( {f,\frac{{\sqrt {1 - x^2 } }} {n}} \right)\left| {T_n (x)} \right|\ln (n + 1) + \omega \left( {f,\frac{{\sqrt {1 - x^2 } }} {n}\left| {T_n (x)} \right|} \right)} \right\}, $$ where T n (x) = cos (n arccos x) is the Chebeyshev polynomial of first kind. Also, if fC r [?1, 1] with r ≧ 1, then $$ \Delta _{n + 2} (f,x) = \mathcal{O}(1)\left\{ {\frac{{\sqrt {1 - x^2 } }} {{n^r }}\left| {T_n (x)} \right|\omega \left( {f^{(r)} ,\frac{{\sqrt {1 - x^2 } }} {n}} \right)\left( {\left( {\sqrt {1 - x^2 } + \frac{1} {n}} \right)^{r - 1} \ln (n + 1) + 1} \right)} \right\}. $$   相似文献

Let $h(t,x): = p.v. \sum\limits_{n \in Z\backslash \left| 0 \right|} {\frac{{e^{\pi i(tn^2 + 2xn)} }}{{2\pi in}}} = \mathop {\lim }\limits_{N \to \infty } \sum\limits_{0< \left| n \right| \leqslant N} {\frac{{e^{\pi i(tn^2 + 2xn)} }}{{2\pi in}}} $ ( $(i = \sqrt { - 1;} t,x$ -real variables). It is proved that in the rectangle $D: = \left\{ {(t,x):0< t< 1,\left| x \right| \leqslant \frac{1}{2}} \right\}$ , the function h satisfies the followingfunctional inequality: $\left| {h(t,x)} \right| \leqslant \sqrt t \left| {h\left( {\frac{1}{t},\frac{x}{t}} \right)} \right| + c,$ where c is an absolute positive constant. Iterations of this relation provide another, more elementary, proof of the known global boundedness result $\left\| {h; L^\infty (E^2 )} \right\| : = ess sup \left| {h(t,x)} \right|< \infty .$ The above functional inequality is derived from a general duality relation, of theta-function type, for solutions of the Cauchy initial value problem for Schrödinger equation of a free particle. Variation and complexity of solutions of Schrödinger equation are discussed.  相似文献

Ω-theorems for some automorphic L-functions and, in particular, for the Rankin?Selberg L-function L(s, f × f) are considered. For example, as t tends to infinity, $$ \log \left| {L\left( {\frac{1}{2}+it,f\times f} \right)} \right|={\varOmega_{+}}\left( {{{{\left( {\frac{{\log t}}{{\log\;\log t}}} \right)}}^{1/2 }}} \right) $$ and $$ \log \left| {L\left( {{\sigma_0}+it,f\times f} \right)} \right|={\varOmega_{+}}\left( {{{{\left( {\frac{{\log t}}{{\log\;\log t}}} \right)}}^{{1-{\sigma_0}}}}} \right) $$ For a fixed σ 0 $ \left( {\frac{1}{2},1} \right) $ . The following theorem is provedTheorem 1.Let q be a polynomial of degree n(qP_n)with n distinct zeroes lying inthe interval[-1,1] and△'_q={-1}∪{τ_i:q'(τ_i)=0,i=1,n-1}∪{1}.If polynomial pP_n satisfies the inequalitythen for each k=1,n and any x[-1,1]its k-th derivative satisfies the inequality丨p~(k)(x)丨≤max{丨q~((k))(x)丨,丨1/k(x~2-1)q~(k+1)(x)+xq~((k))(x)丨}.This estimate leads to the Markov inequality for the higher order derivatives ofpolynomials if we set q=T_n,where Tn is Chebyshev polynomial least deviated from zero.Some other results are established which gives evidence to the conjecture that under theconditions of Theorem 1 the inequality ‖p~((k))‖≤‖q~(k)‖holds.  相似文献

We consider the integral convolution equation on the half-line or on a finite interval with kernel $$K(x - t) = \int_a^b {e^{ - \left| {x - t} \right|s} d\sigma (s)} $$ with an alternating measure under the conditions $$K(x) > 0, \int_a^b {\frac{1}{s}\left| {d\sigma (s)} \right| < + \infty } , \int_{ - \infty }^\infty {K(x)dx = 2} \int_a^b {\frac{1}{s}d\sigma (s) \leqslant 1} .$$ The solution of the nonlinear Ambartsumyan equation $$\varphi (s) = 1 + \varphi (s) \int_a^b {\frac{{\varphi (p)}}{{s + p}}d\sigma (p)} ,$$ is constructed; it can be effectively used for solving the original convolution equation.  相似文献

LetG = (V, E) be a simple graph withn vertices and e edges. Letdi be the degree of the ith vertex vi ∈ V andm i the average of the degrees of the vertices adjacent to vertexv i ∈ V. It is known by Caen [1] and Das [2] that $\frac{{4e^2 }}{n} \leqslant d_1^2 + ... + d_n^2 \leqslant e max \{ d_j + m_j |v_j \in V\} \leqslant e\left( {\frac{{2e}}{{n - 1}} + n - 2} \right)$ . In general, the equalities do not hold in above inequality. It is shown that a graphG is regular if and only if $\frac{{4e^2 }}{n} = d_1^2 + ... + d_n^2 $ . In fact, it is shown a little bit more strong result that a graphG is regular if and only if $\frac{{4e^2 }}{n} = d_1^2 + ... + d_n^2 = e max \{ d_j + m_j |v_j \in V\} $ . For a graphG withn < 2 vertices, it is shown that G is a complete graphK n if and only if $\frac{{4e^2 }}{n} = d_1^2 + ... + d_n^2 = e max \{ d_j + m_j |v_j \in V\} = e\left( {\frac{{2e}}{{n - 1}} + n - 2} \right)$ .  相似文献

Estimates are given for the measure of a section of an arbitrary straight line of the set $$E_\delta = \left\{ {z:\left| {P' {{\left( z \right)} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\left( z \right)} {\left( {nP \left( z \right)} \right)}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left( {nP \left( z \right)} \right)}} \leqslant \delta } \right|} \right\} \left( {\delta > 0} \right)$$ where P (z) is a polynomial of degree n. THEOREM. Suppose P (x) = (x ? x1) ... (x ? xn) is a polynomial with real zeros. Then, for any δ > 0, on any intervala ?x ?b, containing all of the xk (k=1, 2, ..., n), outside an exceptional set Eδ?[a,b] such that $$mes E_\delta \leqslant \left( {\sqrt {1 + \delta ^2 \left( {b - a} \right)^2 } - 1} \right)/\delta $$ , we have the inequality $$\left| {P' {{\left( x \right)} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\left( x \right)} {\left( {nP \left( x \right)} \right)}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left( {nP \left( x \right)} \right)}}} \right| > \delta $$ . A similar estimate is given for polynomials whose roots lie either in Imz ? 0 or in Imz ? 0.  相似文献

Let $I^d $ be the d‐dimensional cube, $I^d = [0,1]^d $ , and let $F \ni f \mapsto Sf \in L_\infty (I^d ) $ be a linear operator acting on the Sobolev space F, where Fis either $$$$ or $$$$ where $$\left\| f \right\|_F = \sum\limits_{\left| m \right| = r} {\mathop {{\text{esssup}}}\limits_{x \in I^d } \left| {\frac{{\partial f^{\left| m \right|} }} {{\partial x_1^{m_1 } \partial x_2^{m_2 } \cdot \cdot \cdot \partial x_d^{m_d } }}(x)} \right|.} $$ We assume that the problem elements fsatisfy the condition $\sum\nolimits_{\left| m \right| = r} {{\text{esssup}}} _{x \in I^d } \left| {f^{(m)} (x)} \right| \leqslant 1 $ and that Sis continuous with respect to the supremum norm. We study sensitivity of optimal recovery of Sfrom inexact samples of ftaken at npoints forming a uniform grid on $I^d $ . We assume that the inaccuracy in reading the sample vector is measured in the pth norm and bounded by a nonnegative number δ. The sensitivity is defined by the difference between the optimal errors corresponding to the exact and perturbed readings, respectively. Our main result is that this difference is bounded by $\mathcal{A}\delta $ , where $\mathcal{A} $ is a positive constant independent of the number of samples. This indicates that the curse of dimension, which badly affects the optimal errors, does not extend to sensitivity.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the study of the weak norms of the classical operators in the vector-valued setting.
  1. Let S, H denote the singular integral involution operator and the Hilbert transform on $L^p \left( {\mathbb{T}, \ell _\mathbb{C}^2 } \right)$ , respectively. Then for 1 ≤ p ≤ 2 and any f, $$\left\| {\mathcal{S}f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left( {\frac{1} {\pi }\int_{ - \infty }^\infty {\frac{{\left| {\tfrac{2} {\pi }\log \left| t \right|} \right|^p }} {{t^2 + 1}}dt} } \right)^{ - 1/p} \left\| f \right\|p,$$ $$\left\| {\mathcal{H}f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left( {\frac{1} {\pi }\int_{ - \infty }^\infty {\frac{{\left| {\tfrac{2} {\pi }\log \left| t \right|} \right|^p }} {{t^2 + 1}}dt} } \right)^{ - 1/p} \left\| f \right\|p.$$ Both inequalities are sharp.
  2. Let P + and P ? stand for the Riesz projection and the co-analytic projection on $L^p \left( {\mathbb{T}, \ell _\mathbb{C}^2 } \right)$ , respectively. Then for 1 ≤ p ≤ 2 and any f, $$\left\| {P + f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left\| f \right\|_p ,$$ $$\left\| {P - f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left\| f \right\|_p .$$ Both inequalities are sharp.
  3. We establish the sharp versions of the estimates above in the nonperiodic case.
The results are new even if the operators act on complex-valued functions. The proof rests on the construction of an appropriate plurisubharmonic function and probabilistic techniques.  相似文献

Let Ω ? 0 be an open bounded domain in R N (N ≥ 3) and $2^* (s) = \tfrac{{2(N - s)}} {{N - 2}}$ , 0 < s < 2. We consider the following elliptic system of two equations in H 0 1 (Ω) × H 0 1 (Ω): $$- \Delta u - t\frac{u} {{\left| x \right|^2 }} = \frac{{2\alpha }} {{\alpha + \beta }}\frac{{\left| u \right|^{\alpha - 2} u\left| v \right|^\beta }} {{\left| x \right|^s }} + \lambda u, - \Delta v - t\frac{v} {{\left| x \right|^2 }} = \frac{{2\beta }} {{\alpha + \beta }}\frac{{\left| u \right|^\alpha \left| v \right|^{\beta - 2} v}} {{\left| x \right|^s }} + \mu v,$$ where λ, µ > 0 and α, β > 1 satisfy α + β = 2*(s). Using the Moser iteration, we prove the asymptotic behavior of solutions at the origin. In addition, by exploiting the Mountain-Pass theorem, we establish the existence of solutions.  相似文献

Let $ \mathcal{P}_n $ denote the set of algebraic polynomials of degree n with the real coefficients. Stein and Wpainger [1] proved that $$ \mathop {\sup }\limits_{p( \cdot ) \in \mathcal{P}_n } \left| {p.v.\int_\mathbb{R} {\frac{{e^{ip(x)} }} {x}dx} } \right| \leqslant C_n , $$ where C n depends only on n. Later A. Carbery, S. Wainger and J. Wright (according to a communication obtained from I. R. Parissis), and Parissis [3] obtained the following sharp order estimate $$ \mathop {\sup }\limits_{p( \cdot ) \in \mathcal{P}_n } \left| {p.v.\int_\mathbb{R} {\frac{{e^{ip(x)} }} {x}dx} } \right| \sim \ln n. $$ . Now let $ \mathcal{T}_n $ denote the set of trigonometric polynomials $$ t(x) = \frac{{a_0 }} {2} + \sum\limits_{k = 1}^n {(a_k coskx + b_k sinkx)} $$ with real coefficients a k , b k . The main result of the paper is that $$ \mathop {\sup }\limits_{t( \cdot ) \in \mathcal{T}_n } \left| {p.v.\int_\mathbb{R} {\frac{{e^{it(x)} }} {x}dx} } \right| \leqslant C_n , $$ with an effective bound on C n . Besides, an analog of a lemma, due to I. M. Vinogradov, is established, concerning the estimate of the measure of the set, where a polynomial is small, via the coefficients of the polynomial.  相似文献
