Rotation Driven Shape-Phase Transition of the Yrast Nuclear States with O（6） Symmetry in the Interacting Boson Model

In a framework of the interacting boson model (usually referred to as IBM-1) with angular momentum projection on the coherent state, we obtain the energy surface functional of nuclei in terms of angular momentum and shape parameters. Analysing the rotation driven effect on the equilibrium shape shows that the yrast states of the nuclei with 0(6) symmetry will experience a shape-phase transition from γ-soft deformed to triaxially deformed and then to spherical shape along the yrast line as the angular momentum increases.     

Reinvestigation of the high spin states in ^（161）Er and enhanced E1 transitions in the N=93 isotones

High-spin states in ¹⁶¹Er have been studied experimentally using the ¹⁵⁰Nd(¹⁶O, 5n) reaction at a beam energy of 86 MeV. The relatively enhanced E1 transitions between the 5/2⁺[642] and 3/2^-[521] bands are observed in ¹⁶¹Er, and the B(E1) values are extracted experimentally. The systematics of the R(E1) values in the N=93 isotones are presented. It is found that the strength of the E1 transitions obviously exhibits angular momentum dependence, and the occurrence of the relatively enhanced E1 transitions could be attributed to octupole softness.     

Properties of the ν7/2-[503]（f7/2） band in 185Pt

High-spin states in ¹⁸⁵Pt have been reinvestigated via the reaction ¹⁷³Yb(¹⁶O, 4n) at a beam energy of 90 MeV. The previously known band based on the ν7/2^-[503](f_7/2) Nilsson orbital has been extended to higher spin states. Properties of the ν7/2^-[503](f_7/2) band have been discussed with an emphasis on the evolution of configuration while increasing the spin.     

New band structures in ~（107）Ag

High spin states in ¹⁰⁷Ag are studied via the ¹⁰⁰Mo(¹¹B, 4n)¹⁰⁷Ag reaction at an incident beam energy of 60 MeV. Prompt γ-γ coincidence and DCO ratios are measured by the detector arrays in CIAE. The level scheme has been updated and a new negative band belonging to ¹⁰⁷Ag is identified. The new negative side band has been constructed and its configuration is tentatively assigned to πg_9/2 νh_11/2(g_7/2/d_5/2).     

Determining the structural phase transition point from the temperature of ~（40）Ca~＋ Coulomb crystal

We observed the linear-to-zigzag structural phase transition of a ^40Ca^＋ crystal in a homemade linear Paul trap. The values of the total temperature of the ion crystals during the phase transition are derived using the molecular-dynamics（MD） simulation method. A series of simulations revealed that the ratio of the radial to axial secular frequencies has a dependence on the total temperature that obeys different functional forms for linear and zigzag structures, and the transition point occurs where these functions intersect; thus, the critical value of the ratio of secular frequencies that drives the structure phase transition can be derived.     

Cumulants in the 3-dimensional Ising,O（2） and O（4） spin models

Based on the universal properties of a critical point in different systems and that the QCD phase transitions fall into the same universality classes as the 3-dimensional Ising, O（2） or O（4） spin models, the critical behavior of cumulants and higher cumulant ratios of the order parameter from the three kinds of spin models is studied. We found that all higher cumulant ratios change dramatically the sign near the critical temperature. The qualitative critical behavior of the same order cumulant ratio is consistent in these three models.     

Study of shape isomer yields of ~（240）Am in the framework of a dynamical-statistical model

A dynamical statistical model is used to analyze the experimental shape isomer yields data in the reaction d＋240Pu at E=20–29 MeV.The possibility of determining the nuclear dissipation is discussed.Comparison of the experimental data with the calculations leads to a value of the reduced dissipation coeffcient β=0.45×1021 s-1 for the Am isotopes.
