The schlieren method is applied to visualizing the sound scattering ofa cylinder immersed in the liquids.Images of the echoes,caused by normal andoblique incidence from a cylinder,are obtained for two kinds of liquids:(1)theliquid is composed of a transparent liquid;and(2)the liquid is composed of twonon-mixable transparent liquids.It is found experimentally that the echo canbe caused by the discontinaites in the shadow zone.This fact is utilized to dem-onstrate the locus of the helical surface wave creeping along the surface of thecylinder.For such cases the three-dimensional image can be described by thismethod and has not to use the system with special appliances and complexalgorithm.  相似文献

We investigate nonlinear Dicke quantum phase transition(QPT) induced by inter-atomic nonlinear interaction and its quantum witness in a cavity-Bose–Einstein-condensate(BEC) system. It is shown that inter-atomic nonlinear interaction in a cavity BEC system can induce first-order Dicke QPT. It is found that this nonlinear Dicke QPT can happen in an arbitrary coupling regime of the cavity and atoms. It is demonstrated that the quantum speed limit time can witness the Dicke QPT through its sudden change at the critical point of the QPT.  相似文献

We have considered the possibility of formation of a massless particles with spin 1 in the region of negative energies, within the framework of the Weyl-type equation for neutrinos. It is proved that the represented approach allows to get a stable structural formation in the ground state, which can be interpreted as a fundamental massless particle. The structure and properties of this vector boson are studied in detail. The problem of entangling two vector bosons with projections of spins +1 and −1 and, accordingly, the formation of a zero-spin boson is studied within the framework of a complex stochastic matrix equations of the Langevin type. The paper discusses the structure of the Bose particle of a scalar field and the space–time properties of an empty space (quantum vacuum).

As a prerequisite of biaxial zero creep experiments, a novel sensitive apparatus is developed for real-time filmstress measurement during thermal cycles. The optical sensor with a fixed multi-beam emitter and a CCD detector is investigated during an annealing process of Ag/Co multilayer thin film. The monitoring plots of stress as functions of temperature and time demonstrate the capability of this set-up. The typical sensitivity for measuring the wafer curvature radius is 2 km.  相似文献

A technique is described for the dynamic measurement of selected thermophysical properties of electrically conducting solids in the temperature range from 1100 K to the melting point.Based on rapid resistive self-heating of the specimen from room temperature to any desired high temperature in several seconds by the passage of an electical current pulse through it,this technique measures the pertinent quantities such as current,voltage,randiance temperature,with sub-millisecond time resolution.The pulse-heating technique is applied to strip specimens.The radiance temperature is measured by high-speed pyrometry, normal spectral emissivity of the strips is measured by integrating sphere reflectometry.The normal spectral emissivity results are used to compute the true temperature of the specimens.The heat capacity, electrical resistivity,total hemispherical emissivity are evaluated in the temperature range from 1100 K to the melting point.  相似文献

The detection of a particle in electromagnetic plus gravitational fields is investigated. We obtain a set of quantum nondemolition variables. The continuous measurements of these nondemolition parameters are analyzed in the framework of restricted path integral formalism. Detailed predictions for the scaled pion–photon transition form factor are given, derived with the method of light-cone sum rules and using pion distribution amplitudes with two and three Gegenbauer coefficients obtained from QCD sum rules with nonlocal condensates. These predictions agree well with all experimental data that are compatible with QCD scaling (and collinear factorization), but disagree with the high-Q 2 data of the BaBar Collaboration that grow with the momentum. A good agreement of our predictions with results obtained from AdS/QCD models and Dyson–Schwinger computations is found.  相似文献

We describe a new simple technique for the low-frequency ultrasonic thickness measurement of an air-backed soft thin layer attached on a hard substrate of finite thickness throug-h the frequency-shifts of the substrate resonances by the substrate-side insonification. A plane compressive wave impinging normally on the substrate surface from a liquid is studied. Low frequency here means an interrogating acoustical wave frequency of less than half of the ‘half-wavelength resonance frequency‘ of the thin layer depending on the acoustical impedance ratio of the coating to the substrate. Equations for the frequency-shifts are derived and solved by the Newton iterative method and the Taylor expansion method, respectively, indicating satisfactory agreement within the range of interest of thickness ratio of the thin layer to the substrate for a polymer-aluminium structure. An experimental setup is constructed to verify the validity of the technique.  相似文献

We highlight the importance of quantum fluctuations in organizing a dissipative quantum phase transition for the driven Jaynes–Cummings interaction with variable qubit-cavity detuning. The system response presents a substantial difference from the predictions of the semiclassical theory, the extent of which is revealed in the properties of quantum bistability, and visualized with the help of quasi-distribution functions for the cavity field, subject to an appropriate scale parameter. States anticipated by the neoclassical theory of radiation coexist in the quantum picture, following the occurrence of spontaneous dressed-state polarization and phase bistability at resonance.  相似文献

Low-lying states of a vertically coupled three-layer quantum-dot system are studied.Each layer contains one electron,and the tunnelling of electrons between layers is neglected.Effects of the interlayer separation d and the external magnetic field B are evaluated by numerical calculations.In the strong coupling case (i.e.d is small),as in a single dot,transitions of the angular momentum L of the true ground states occur when B increases, whereas in the weak coupling case the transition does not occur and L remains zero.Furthermore,it is found that the variation of d may also induce the L transition.As a result,a phase diagram of L of the true ground state is given in the d-B plane.  相似文献

We study the formation of quantum droplets in the mixture of a single-component Bose–Einstein condensate(BEC),and a two-species Fermi superfluid across a wide Feshbach resonance.With repulsive boson-boson and attractive boson-fermion interactions,we show that quantum droplets can be stabilized by attractive fermionfermion interactions on the Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer(BCS) side of the resonance,and can also exist in the deep BEC regime under weak boson-fermion interactions.We map out the phase di...  相似文献

In situ resistance measurement of Graphitic-C3N4 has been performed under high pressure in a diamond anvil cell. The result reveals that there are changes of electron transport behaviour. As the pressure increases from ambient to 30 GPa, three abnormal resistance changes can be found at room temperature and two are found at 77K. The abnormal resistance dropped at 5 GPa is close to the phase transition pressure from the P6m2 structure to the p structure predicted by Lowther et al. [Phys. Reg. B 59 (1999) 11683] Another abnormal change of resistance at 12 GPa is related to the phase transition from g-C3N4 to cubic-C3N4 [Teter and Hemley, Science 271 (1990) 53].  相似文献

Abstract  

In this research, a flame arrester consisting of a slit structure was experimentally investigated. Experimental data show adequate maximum experimental safe gap (MESG) value for the flame arrester. The flow rate characteristics of the flame arrester were measured and compared with theoretical results. It was made clear that the flow impedance of convergent flow is 20% less than that of divergent flow. The experimental data and theoretical data show good agreement. The performance test by an EN12874 as ‘in-line stable detonation’ flame arrester was examined for a hydrogen–air gas mixture. The experimental data show that the gap was 0.2 times the MESG value in bi-directions for the flame arrester. The quenching and extinguishing processes were visualized by high-speed cameras.  相似文献
