We prove limit theorems for row sums of a rowwise independent infinitesimal array of random variables with values in a locally compact Abelian group. First we give a proof of Gaiser's theorem [4, Satz 1.3.6], since it does not have an easy access and it is not complete. This theorem gives sufficient conditions for convergence of the row sums, but the limit measure cannot have a nondegenerate idempotent factor. Then we prove necessary and sufficient conditions for convergence of the row sums, where the limit measure can be also a nondegenerate Haar measure on a compact subgroup. Summary Three theorems concerning oscillatory properties of solutions of even order ordinary differential equations are given. One theorem gives sufficient conditions for all solutions of (*) y(2n)(x) + f(y(x))p(x) = 0 to possess an infinite number of zeroes on the positive x axis. Another theorem gives sufficient conditions for all solutions of the general homogeneous linear equation of order 2n to have the same oscillatory property. Finally a necessary condition is given for (*) to have a solution with a last zero. We establish the necessary and sufficient optimality conditions on a nondifferentiable minimax fractional programming problem. Subsequently, applying the optimality conditions, we constitute two dual models: Mond-Weir type and Wolfe type. In this paper, the existence theorems of two kinds of weak subgradients for set-valued mappings, which are the generalizations of Theorem 7 in [G.Y. Chen, J. Jahn, Optimality conditions for set-valued optimization problems, Math. Methods Oper. Res. 48 (2) (1998) 187–200] and Theorem 4.1 in [J.W. Peng, H.W.J. Lee, W.D. Rong, X.M. Yang, Hahn–Banach theorems and subgradients of set-valued maps, Math. Methods Oper. Res. 61 (2005) 281–297], respectively, are proved by virtue of a Hahn–Banach extension theorem. Moreover, some properties of the weak subdifferential for set-valued mappings are obtained by using a so-called Sandwich theorem. Finally, necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are discussed for set-valued optimization problems, whose constraint sets are determined by a fixed set and a set-valued mapping, respectively.  相似文献

We establish the central limit theorem and non-central limit theorems for maps admitting indifferent periodic points (the so-called intermittent maps). We also give a large class of Darling-Kac sets for intermittent maps admitting infinite invariant measures. The essential issue for the central limit theorem is to clarify the speed of -convergence of iterated Perron-Frobenius operators for multi-dimensional maps which satisfy Renyi's condition but fail to satisfy the uniformly expanding property. Multi-dimensional intermittent maps typically admit such derived systems. There are examples in section 4 to which previous results on the central limit theorem are not applicable, but our extended central limit theorem does apply.

The statistical properties of endomorphisms under the assumptionthat the associated Perron–Frobenius operator is quasicompactare considered. In particular, the central limit theorem, weakinvariance principle and law of the iterated logarithm for sufficientlyregular observations are examined. The approach clarifies therole of the usual assumptions of ergodicity, weak mixing, andexactness. Sufficient conditions are given for quasicompactness of thePerron–Frobenius operator to lift to the correspondingequivariant operator on a compact group extension of the base.This leads to statistical limit theorems for equivariant observationson compact group extensions. Examples considered include compact group extensions of piecewiseuniformly expanding maps (for example Lasota–Yorke maps),and subshifts of finite type, as well as systems that are nonuniformlyexpanding or nonuniformly hyperbolic.  相似文献

The discovery of the almost sure central limit theorem (Brosamler, Math. Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 104 (1988) 561–574; Schatte, Math. Nachr. 137 (1988) 249–256) revealed a new phenomenon in classical central limit theory and has led to an extensive literature in the past decade. In particular, a.s. central limit theorems and various related ‘logarithmic’ limit theorems have been obtained for several classes of independent and dependent random variables. In this paper we extend this theory and show that not only the central limit theorem, but every weak limit theorem for independent random variables, subject to minor technical conditions, has an analogous almost sure version. For many classical limit theorems this involves logarithmic averaging, as in the case of the CLT, but we need radically different averaging processes for ‘more sensitive’ limit theorems. Several examples of such a.s. limit theorems are discussed.  相似文献

We establish existence and uniqueness theorems for V-harmonic maps from complete noncompact manifolds. This class of maps includes Hermitian harmonic maps, Weyl harmonic maps, affine harmonic maps, and Finsler harmonic maps from a Finsler manifold into a Riemannian manifold. We also obtain a Liouville type theorem for V-harmonic maps. In addition, we prove a V-Laplacian comparison theorem under the Bakry-Emery Ricci condition.  相似文献

We construct Gauss–Weingarten-like formulas and define O’Neill’s tensors for Riemannian maps between Riemannian manifolds. By using these new formulas, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for Riemannian maps to be totally geodesic. Then we introduce semi-invariant Riemannian maps from almost Hermitian manifolds to Riemannian manifolds, give examples and investigate the geometry of leaves of the distributions defined by such maps. We also obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for semi-invariant maps to be totally geodesic and find decomposition theorems for the total manifold. Finally, we give a classification result for semi-invariant Riemannian maps with totally umbilical fibers.  相似文献

By applying the theory of quasiconformal maps in measure metric spaces that was introduced by Heinonen-Koskela, we characterize bi-Lipschitz maps by modulus inequalities of rings and maximal, minimal derivatives in Q-regular Loewner spaces. Meanwhile the sufficient and necessary conditions for quasiconformal maps to become bi-Lipschitz maps are also obtained. These results generalize Rohde’s theorem in ℝ n and improve Balogh’s corresponding results in Carnot groups. This research is supported by China NSF (Grant No. 10271077)  相似文献

A (generalized) weak solenoid is an inverse limit space over manifolds with bonding maps that are covering maps. If the covering maps are regular, then we call the inverse limit space a strong solenoid. By a theorem of M.C. McCord, strong solenoids are homogeneous. We show conversely that homogeneous weak solenoids are topologically equivalent to strong solenoids. We also give an example of a weak solenoid that has simply connected path-components, but which is not homogeneous.

本文首先将单值映射的锥次类凸概念推广到集值映射,并对锥次类凸集值映射给出几个等价刻划和一个择一性定理。然后,利用这些概念与结果来确定拓扑线性空间中带集值映射的向量优化问题的Benson真有效性,获得两个标量化结果和两个Lagrange乘子定理,在定义了一个适当的集值Lagrange映射并对其引入真鞍点的概念之后,又建立了Benson真有效性的一个充分条件和一个充要条件,最后还讨论了两个对偶问题。  相似文献

We establish the sufficient optimality conditions for a minimax programming problem involving p fractional n-set functions under generalized invexity. Using incomplete Lagrange duality, we formulate a mixed-type dual problem which unifies the Wolfe type dual and Mond-Weir type dual in fractional n-set functions under generalized invexity. Furthermore, we establish three duality theorems: weak, strong, and strict converse duality theorem, and prove that the optimal values of the primal problem and the mixed-type dual problem have no duality gap under extra assumptions in the framework. Weak drift of an infinitely divisible distribution μ on ? d is defined by analogy with weak mean; properties and applications of weak drift are given. When μ has no Gaussian part, the weak drift of μ equals the minus of the weak mean of the inversion μ′ of μ. Applying the concepts of having weak drift 0 and of having weak drift 0 absolutely, the ranges, the absolute ranges, and the limit of the ranges of iterations are described for some stochastic integral mappings. For Lévy processes, the concepts of weak mean and weak drift are helpful in giving necessary and sufficient conditions for the weak law of large numbers and for the weak version of Shtatland’s theorem on the behavior near t=0; those conditions are obtained from each other through inversion.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a generalized weak vector variational inequality, which is a generalization of a weak vector variational inequality and a Minty weak vector variational inequality. By virtue of a contingent derivative and a Φ-contingent cone, we investigate differential properties of a class of set-valued maps and obtain an explicit expression of its contingent derivative. We also establish some necessary optimality conditions for solutions of the generalized weak vector variational inequality, which generalize the corresponding results in the literature. Furthermore, we establish some unified necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for local optimal solutions of the generalized weak vector variational inequality. Simultaneously, we also show that there is no gap between the necessary and sufficient conditions under an appropriate condition.  相似文献

Summary The paper extends the ergodic theorems of information theory (Shannon-MacMillan-Breiman theorems) to spaces with an infinite invariant measure. An L 1 difference theorem and a pointwisa ratio theorem are proved, for the information of spreading partitions. For the validity of the theorems it is assumed that the supremum f * of the conditional information given the increasing past is integrable. Simple necessary and sufficient conditions for the integrability of f * are obtained in special cases: If the initial partition is composed of one state of a null-recurrent Markov chain, then f * is integrable if and only if the partition of this state according to the first return times has finite entropy.Research of both authors was supported by the National Science Foundation (U.
