The Reaction of 2-Arylvinamindinium Perchlorates with Sodium Borohydride and Sodium Cyanoborohydride

In the last few years, numerous efforts have been directed to the development of acetonylation methods¹. Recent works in this laboratory have shown that O, O-t-butyl and O-isopropenyl peroxycarbonate 1 can be regarded as a good acetonylation reagent; its decomposition in solution results in the substitution of an hydrogen atom by an acetonyl group on each compound Σ-H able to undergo free radical addition reactions to alkenes². The following free radical chain reaction mechanism has been proposed:      

Reaction of 2-Naphthylamine with Sodium Iodate/Sodium Sulfite: Synthesis of 2-Amino-1-iodonaphthalene

The reaction of 2-naphthylamine with NaIO₃/Na₂SO₃/HCl yields exclusively 2-amino-1-iodonaphthalene and not regioisomer 2-amino-3-iodonaphthalene as was previously reported. The assigned structure is supported by spectroscopic data.

Phase Separation in Aqueous Solutions of Binary Copolymers of Acrylamide with Sodium 2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropanesulfonate and Sodium Acrylate

Phase separation in aqueous solutions of binary copolymers of acrylamide with sodium 2-acryl-amido-2-methylpropanesulfonate and sodium acrylate is studied over the temperature range from 20 to 100°C, as influenced by addition of calcium, magnesium, and sodium chlorides, inorganic salt concentration, and molecular characteristics of the copolymers.

研究了2-乙酰氧甲基吡咯衍生物和醇钠在回流条件下的醚化反应,结果以优秀的收率生成了相应的2-烷氧甲基吡咯衍生物.提出了一个基于氮杂富勒烯过渡态的反应机理用于解释实验结果,提供了一种在碱性介质中制备2-烷氧甲基吡咯衍生物的新方法.     

N-芳亚甲基-2-丙烯-1-胺与甲醇钠的反应

研究了N-芳亚甲基-2-丙烯-1-胺（1）与甲醇钠的反应，当甲醇钠过量，反应 时间足够长时，生成的主要产物是N-芳亚甲基-1-甲氧基-丙胺（2）。     

The Sodium Borohydride and Sodium Cyanoborohydride Reduction of Unsymmetrically Substituted 3-Chloro-2-propeniminium Salts

A series of 3-substituted-3-chloro-2-propeniminium salts have been reacted with sodium borohydride and/or sodium cyanoborohydride to produce 1-substituted-1-chloro-3-N, N-dimethylamino-1-propenes in good yield.     

Thermal Properties of Copolymers of Sodium 2-Acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate with N-Vinylpyrrolidone

Thermal transformations of sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate-N-vinylpyrrolidone copolymers of various chemical compositions were studied by thermogravimetric, differential thermal, and thermomechanical analyses within 20-600°C in air. The thermal degradation parameters in various temperature ranges were estimated, as well as the heat resistance of the copolymers.     

Sodium iodine(V) oxyfluoride,NaIO2F2

As an extension of a general structural study concerning fluorides and oxyfluorides of cations presenting a stereochemically active electronic lone pair, until now limited to tellurium(IV) phases, the previously unknown structure of NaIO₂F₂ corresponds to a new structure type based on isolated IO₂F₂⁻ polyhedra forming sheets separated by Na⁺ layers. The sodium ion is octahedrally coordinated with 2/m site symmetry, while the I^V atom has m2m symmetry with a stereochemically active lone electron pair. The O and F atoms (both with m symmetry) are bonded to the I^V atoms in a fully ordered manner. A comparison with the structure of ferroelastic KIO₂F₂ and with structures based on hexagonal close packing of anions, mainly rutile‐type and FeTeO₃F‐type, reveals differences that are attributed to the smaller ionic radius of Na⁺ and the ordering of the Na and I cations.     

Copolymerization of Acrylamide with Sodium 2-Acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate in Aqueous Salt Solutions

The kinetics of radical copolymerization of acrylamide with sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate in water and in 1 M NaCl solutions at pH 9 and 30-50°C was studied. The kinetic data were interpreted with account of the state of the ionic groups and conformations of growing polymeric chains in the reaction mixtures.     

Difluoromethylation of 2-Hydroxychalcones Using Sodium 2-Chloro-2,2-difluoroacetate as Difluoromethylating Agent

Difluoromethylation of 2-hydroxychalcones using sodium 2-chloro-2,2-difluoroacetate as the difluoro-methylating agent was developed. Under facile conditions, a wide range of aryl difluoromethyl ethers were obtained in yields of 36%-80%. It is noteworthy that the new addition products, 2,2-difluoro-2H-benzofuran derivatives, were also synthesized in the reactions. The yield of 2,2-difluoro-2H-benzofuran derivative could be up to 35% when 3-methyl-2-hydroxychalcone was used as the reactant. A plausible reaction mechanism was proposed.

Degradation of Copolymers of N-Vinylpyrrolidone with Sodium 2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropanesulfonate in Aqueous Solutions

The kinetics of controllable degradation of N-vinylpyrrolidone-sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate copolymers in aqueous solutions under the action of degrading agents at 25-50°C were studied by viscometry. The efficiency of controlling the molecular weight of copolymer was estimated.     

Sodium chloride dendrite columns in (GC)2

Summary A method is described for roughening the surface of sodalime glass capillaries by depositing sodium chloride dendrites on the inner wall. The sodium chloride layer improves the wettability of the wall and shows favourable adsorption properties. For apolar and polar stationary phases coating efficiencies of 60 to 85% are attained.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Sodium Monosulfuron （N-（4-Methylpyrimidin-2-yl）-N＇-2-（nitrophenylsulfonyl） Urea Sodium）

ABSTRACT Monosulfuron is a novel sulfonylurea herbicide with ultra-low dosage invented and patented by Nankai University. Herein its sodium salt was firstly synthesized and crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction method. The title compound belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1^- with a = 7.306（6）, b = 9.446（8）, c = 11.872（10）A, α = 76.578（14）, β = 78.049（13）, γ = 77.620（14）°, V = 767.7（11）A^3, Mr = 377.32, Z = 2, Dc = 1.632 g/cm^3,μ= 0.283 mm^-1, F（000） = 388, R = 0.0444 and wR = 0.1186. In the title compound, Na（1） coordinates with 0（4） and 0（5） from one monosulfuron molecule, N（4A） and O（5A） from the other monosulfuron molecule and the oxygen atom from H2O to give five coordination bonds. The title complex is further linked into a three-dimensional structure through π…π interactions and intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the oxygen and nitrogen atoms.

3-氯-2-羟基丙磺酸钠的合成工艺研究

以环氧氯丙烷（1）和NaHSO₃为原料,Na₂SO₃为引发剂,乙二胺四乙酸二钠（EDTA₂Na）为络合增效剂,经酸催化开环反应合成了磺酸型两性表面活性剂中间体--3-氯-2-羟基丙磺酸钠（2）,其结构经¹H NMR, IR和ESI-MS确证。在最佳反应条件［1 0.55 mol, n(NaHSO₃）: n（Na₂SO₃）: n（EDTA₂Na）: n（H₂O)=1.00 : 0.04 : 0.01 : 9.50, 1的滴加时间15 min,在适宜的转速（前期100 rpm, 后期300 rpm）下,于70 ℃(浴温)反应1.25 h］下合成的2,收率81.55%。并对反应机理进行了推测。
