Hereby we present the synthesis of several ruthenium(II) and ruthenium(III) dithiocarbamato complexes. Proceeding from the Na[trans‐RuIII(dmso)2Cl4] ( 2 ) and cis‐[RuII(dmso)4Cl2] ( 3 ) precursors, the diamagnetic, mixed‐ligand [RuIIL2(dmso)2] complexes 4 and 5 , the paramagnetic, neutral [RuIIIL3] monomers 6 and 7 , the antiferromagnetically coupled ionic α‐[RuIII2L5]Cl complexes 8 and 9 as well as the β‐[RuIII2L5]Cl dinuclear species 10 and 11 (L=dimethyl‐ (DMDT) and pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (PDT)) were obtained. All the compounds were fully characterised by elemental analysis as well as 1H NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. Moreover, for the first time the crystal structures of the dinuclear β‐[RuIII2(dmdt)5]BF4 ? CHCl3 ? CH3CN and of the novel [RuIIL2(dmso)2] complexes were also determined and discussed. For both the mono‐ and dinuclear RuII and RuIII complexes the central metal atoms assume a distorted octahedral geometry. Furthermore, in vitro cytotoxicity of the complexes has been evaluated on non‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC) NCI‐H1975 cells. All the mono‐ and dinuclear RuIII dithiocarbamato compounds (i.e., complexes 6 – 10 ) show interesting cytotoxic activity, up to one order of magnitude higher with respect to cisplatin. Otherwise, no significant antiproliferative effect for either the precursors 2 and 3 or the RuII complexes 4 and 5 has been observed.  相似文献

This article deals with isomeric ruthenium complexes [RuIII(LR)2(acac)] (S=1/2) involving unsymmetric β‐ketoiminates (AcNac) (LR=R‐AcNac, R=H ( 1 ), Cl ( 2 ), OMe ( 3 ); acac=acetylacetonate) [R=para‐substituents (H, Cl, OMe) of N‐bearing aryl group]. The isomeric identities of the complexes, cct (ciscis‐trans, blue, a ), ctc (cis‐trans‐cis, green, b ) and ccc (ciscis‐cis, pink, c ) with respect to oxygen (acac), oxygen (L) and nitrogen (L) donors, respectively, were authenticated by their single‐crystal X‐ray structures and spectroscopic/electrochemical features. One‐electron reversible oxidation and reduction processes of 1 – 3 led to the electronic formulations of [RuIII(L)(L ? )(acac)]+ and [RuII(L)2(acac)]? for 1 +‐ 3 + (S=1) and 1? – 3? (S=0), respectively. The triplet state of 1 +‐ 3 + was corroborated by its forbidden weak half‐field signal near g≈4.0 at 4 K, revealing the non‐innocent feature of L. Interestingly, among the three isomeric forms ( a – c in 1 – 3 ), the ctc ( b in 2 b or 3 b ) isomer selectively underwent oxidative functionalization at the central β‐carbon (C?H→C=O) of one of the L ligands in air, leading to the formation of diamagnetic [RuII(L)(L ′ )(acac)] (L ′ =diketoimine) in 4 / 4′ . Mechanistic aspects of the oxygenation process of AcNac in 2 b were also explored via kinetic and theoretical studies.  相似文献

The complex cis‐[RuIII(dmbpy)2Cl2](PF6) ( 2 ) (dmbpy = 4, 4′‐dimethyl‐2, 2′‐bipyridine) was obtained from the reaction of cis‐[RuII(dmbpy)2Cl2] ( 1 ) with ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate followed by precipitation with saturated ammonium hexafluoridophosphate. The 1H NMR spectrum of the RuIII complex confirms the presence of paramagnetic metal atoms, whereas that of the RuII complex displays diamagnetism. The 31P NMR spectrum of the RuIII complex shows one signal for the phosphorus atom of the PF6 ion. The perspective view of each [RuII/III(dmbpy)2Cl2]0/+ unit manifests that the ruthenium atom is in hexacoordinate arrangement with two dmbpy ligands and two chlorido ligands in cis position. As the oxidation state of the central ruthenium metal atom becomes higher, the average Ru–Cl bond length decreases whereas the Ru–N (dmbpy) bond length increases. The cis‐positioned dichloro angle in RuIII is 1.3° wider than that in the RuII. The dihedral angles between pair of planar six‐membered pyridyl ring in the dmbpy ligand for the RuII are 4.7(5)° and 5.7(4)°. The observed inter‐planar angle between two dmbpy ligands in the RuII is 89.08(15)°, whereas the value for the RuIII is 85.46(20)°.  相似文献

Reactions of the open‐cage fullerene C63NO2(Py)(Ph)2 ( 1 ) with [Ru3(CO)12] produce [Ru3(CO)8(μ,η5‐C63NO2(Py)(Ph)2)] ( 2 ), [Ru2H(CO)3(μ,η7‐C63N(Py)(Ph)(C6H4))] ( 3 ), and [Ru(CO)(Py)2(η3‐C63NO2(Py)(Ph)2)] ( 4 ), in which the orifice sizes are modified from 12 to 8, 11, and 15‐membered ring, through ruthenium‐mediated C?O and C?C bond activation and formation.  相似文献

The clectrochemical behaviour of the complexes [RuII(L)(CO)2Cl2], [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N] and [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 (L = 2,2′-bipyridine or 4,4′-isopropoxycarbonyl-2,2′-bipyridine) has been investigated in CH3CN. The oxidation of [Ru(L)(CO)2Cl2] produces new complexes [RuIII(L)(CO)(CH3CN)2Cl]2+ as a consequence of the instability of the electrogenerated transient RuIII species [RuIII(L)(CO)2Cl2]+. In contrast, the oxidation of [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N] produces the stable [RuIII(L)(CO)Cl3] complex. In contrast [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 is not oxidized in the range up to the most positive potentials achievable. The reduction of [RuII(L)(CO)2Cl2] and [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 results in the formation of identical dark blue strongly adherent electroactive films. These films exhibit the characteristics of a metal-metal bond dimer structure. No films are obtained on reduction of [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N]. The effect of the substitution of the bipyridine ligand by electron-withdrawing carboxy ester groups on the electrochemical behaviour of all these complexes has also been investigated.  相似文献

Tetrairon(III) single‐molecule magnets [Fe4(pPy)2(dpm)6] ( 1 ) (H3pPy=2‐(hydroxymethyl)‐2‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)propane‐1,3‐diol, Hdpm=dipivaloylmethane) have been deliberately organized into supramolecular chains by reaction with RuIIRuII or RuIIRuIII paddlewheel complexes. The products [Fe4(pPy)2(dpm)6][Ru2(OAc)4](BF4)x with x=0 ( 2 a ) or x=1 ( 2 b ) differ in the electron count on the paramagnetic diruthenium bridges and display hysteresis loops of substantially different shape. Owing to their large easy‐plane anisotropy, the s=1 diruthenium(II,II) units in 2 a act as effective seff=0 spins and lead to negligible intrachain communication. By contrast, the mixed‐valent bridges (s=3/2, seff=1/2) in 2 b introduce a significant exchange bias, with concomitant enhancement of the remnant magnetization. Our results suggest the possibility to use electron transfer to tune intermolecular communication in redox‐responsive arrays of SMMs.  相似文献

Presented herein is a set of bimetallic and trimetallic “coordination booster‐catalyst” assemblies in which the coordination complexes [RuII(terpy)2] and [OsII(terpy)2] acted as boosters for enhancement of the catalytic activity of [RuII(NHC)(para‐cymene)]‐based catalytic site. The boosters accelerated the oxidative loss of para‐cymene from the catalytic site to generate the active catalyst during the oxidation of alkenes and alkynes into corresponding aldehydes, ketones and diketones. It was found that the boosting efficiency of the [OsII(terpy)2] units was considerably higher than its congener [RuII(terpy)2] unit in these assemblies. Mechanistic studies were conducted to understand this unique improvement.  相似文献

A combined experimental and quantum chemical study of Group 7 borane, trimetallic triply bridged borylene and boride complexes has been undertaken. Treatment of [{Cp*CoCl}2] (Cp*=1,2,3,4,5‐pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) with LiBH4 ? thf at ?78 °C, followed by room‐temperature reaction with three equivalents of [Mn2(CO)10] yielded a manganese hexahydridodiborate compound [{(OC)4Mn}(η6‐B2H6){Mn(CO)3}2(μ‐H)] ( 1 ) and a triply bridged borylene complex [(μ3‐BH)(Cp*Co)2(μ‐CO)(μ‐H)2MnH(CO)3] ( 2 ). In a similar fashion, [Re2(CO)10] generated [(μ3‐BH)(Cp*Co)2(μ‐CO)(μ‐H)2ReH(CO)3] ( 3 ) and [(μ3‐BH)(Cp*Co)2(μ‐CO)2(μ‐H)Co(CO)3] ( 4 ) in modest yields. In contrast, [Ru3(CO)12] under similar reaction conditions yielded a heterometallic semi‐interstitial boride cluster [(Cp*Co)(μ‐H)3Ru3(CO)9B] ( 5 ). The solid‐state X‐ray structure of compound 1 shows a significantly shorter boron–boron bond length. The detailed spectroscopic data of 1 and the unusual structural and bonding features have been described. All the complexes have been characterized by using 1H, 11B, 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and X‐ray diffraction analysis. The DFT computations were used to shed light on the bonding and electronic structures of these new compounds. The study reveals a dominant B?H?Mn, a weak B?B?Mn interaction, and an enhanced B?B bonding in 1 .  相似文献

A dinuclear ruthenium complex [RuII(NCNHC O)(pic)2]22+ ( 2 ) was firstly prepared and characterized spectroscopically and electrochemically. Instead of the conventional ligand exchange, complex 2 dissociates in situ to afford two single‐site Ru aqua complexes, [RuII(OH2)(NCNHC O)(pic)2]+, which mediates water oxidation through proton‐coupled electron transfer events. In electrokinetic studies, complex 2 demonstrated a TOF of 150.3 s−1 comparable to those state‐of‐the‐art catalysts at neutral conditions. TONs of 2173 and 217 were attained in chemical and photochemical water oxidation when 2 was used as a catalyst, exhibiting good stability. Notably, a TOF of 1.3 s−1 was achieved at CAN‐driven water oxidation, which outperformed most of the reported single‐site Ru complexes, indicating that complex 2 is one of most active water oxidation catalysts (WOCs) to date. The unique coordination configuration and outstanding catalytic performance of complex 2 might shed light on the design of novel molecular WOCs.  相似文献

A series of [{(terpy)(bpy)Ru}(μ‐O){Ru(bpy)(terpy)}]n+ ( [RuORu]n+ , terpy=2,2′;6′,2′′‐terpyridine, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) was systematically synthesized and characterized in three distinct redox states (n=3, 4, and 5 for RuII,III2 , RuIII,III2 , and RuIII,IV2 , respectively). The crystal structures of [RuORu]n+ (n=3, 4, 5) in all three redox states were successfully determined. X‐ray crystallography showed that the Ru? O distances and the Ru‐O‐Ru angles are mainly regulated by the oxidation states of the ruthenium centers. X‐ray crystallography and ESR spectra clearly revealed the detailed electronic structures of two mixed‐valence complexes, [RuIIIORuIV]5+ and [RuIIORuIII]3+ , in which each unpaired electron is completely delocalized across the oxo‐bridged dinuclear core. These findings allow us to understand the systematic changes in structure and electronic state that accompany the changes in the redox state.  相似文献

DFT calculations are performed on [RuII(bpy)2(tmen)]2+ ( M1 , tmen=2,3‐dimethyl‐2,3‐butanediamine) and [RuII(bpy)2(heda)]2+ ( M2 , heda=2,5‐dimethyl‐2,5‐hexanediamine), and on the oxidation reactions of M1 to give the C?C bond cleavage product [RuII(bpy)2(NH=CMe2)2]2+ ( M3 ) and the N?O bond formation product [RuII(bpy)2(ONCMe2CMe2NO)]2+ ( M4 ). The calculated geometrical parameters and oxidation potentials are in good agreement with the experimental data. As revealed by the DFT calculations, [RuII(bpy)2(tmen)]2+ ( M1 ) can undergo oxidative deprotonation to generate Ru‐bis(imide) [Ru(bpy)2(tmen‐4 H)]+ ( A ) or Ru‐imide/amide [Ru(bpy)2(tmen‐3 H)]2+ ( A′ ) intermediates. Both A and A′ are prone to C?C bond cleavage, with low reaction barriers (ΔG) of 6.8 and 2.9 kcal mol?1 for their doublet spin states 2 A and 2 A′ , respectively. The calculated reaction barrier for the nucleophilic attack of water molecules on 2 A′ is relatively high (14.2 kcal mol?1). These calculation results are in agreement with the formation of the RuII‐bis(imine) complex M3 from the electrochemical oxidation of M1 in aqueous solution. The oxidation of M1 with CeIV in aqueous solution to afford the RuII‐dinitrosoalkane complex M4 is proposed to proceed by attack of the cerium oxidant on the ruthenium imide intermediate. The findings of ESI‐MS experiments are consistent with the generation of a ruthenium imide intermediate in the course of the oxidation.  相似文献

The five‐coordinated ReI hydride complexes [Re(Br)(H)(NO)(PR3)2] (R=Cy 1 a , iPr 1 b ) were reacted with benzylbromide, thereby affording the 17‐electron mononuclear ReII hydride complexes [Re(Br)2(H)(NO)(PR3)2] (R=Cy 3 a , iPr 3 b ), which were characterized by EPR, cyclic voltammetry, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. In the case of dibromomethane or bromoform, the reaction of 1 afforded ReII hydrides 3 in addition to ReI carbene hydrides [Re(?CHR1)(Br)(H)(NO)(PR3)2] (R1=H 4 , Br 5 ; R=Cy a , iPr b ) in which the hydride ligand is positioned cis to the carbene ligand. For comparison, the dihydrogen ReI dibromide complexes [Re(Br)2(NO)(PR3)22‐H2)] (R=Cy 2 a , iPr 2 b ) were reacted with allyl‐ or benzylbromide, thereby affording the monophosphine ReII complex salts [R3PCH2R′][Re(Br)4(NO)(PR3)] (R′=? CH?CH2 6 , Ph 7 ). The reduction of ReII complexes has also been examined. Complex 3 a or 3 b can be reduced by zinc to afford 1 a or 1 b in high yield. Under catalytic conditions, this reaction enables homocoupling of benzylbromide (turnover frequency (TOF): 3 a 150, 3 b 134 h?1) or allylbromide (TOF: 3 a 575, 3 b 562 h?1). The reaction of 6 a and 6 b with zinc in acetonitrile affords in good yields the monophosphine ReI complexes [Re(Br)2(NO)(MeCN)2(PR3)] (R=Cy 8 a , iPr 8 b ), which showed high catalytic activity toward highly selective dehydrogenative silylation of styrenes (maximum TOF of 61 h?1). Single‐electron transfer (SET) mechanisms were proposed for all these transformations. The molecular structures of 3 a , 6 a , 6 b , 7 a , 7 b , and 8 a were established by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

The ligands L1 and L2 both form separable dinuclear double‐stranded helicate and mesocate complexes with RuII. In contrast to clinically approved platinates, the helicate isomer of [Ru2( L1 )2]4+ was preferentially cytotoxic to isogenic cells (HCT116 p53?/?), which lack the critical tumour suppressor gene. The mesocate isomer shows the reverse selectivity, with the achiral isomer being preferentially cytotoxic towards HCT116 p53+/+. Other structurally similar RuII‐containing dinuclear complexes showed very little cytotoxic activity. This study demonstrates that alterations in ligand or isomer can have profound effects on cytotoxicity towards cancer cells of different p53 status and suggests that selectivity can be “tuned” to either genotype. In the search for compounds that can target difficult‐to‐treat tumours that lack the p53 tumour suppressor gene, [Ru2( L1 )2]4+ is a promising compound for further development.  相似文献

The complex series [Ru(pap)(Q)2]n ([ 1 ]n–[ 4 ]n; n=+2, +1, 0, ?1, ?2) contains four redox non‐innocent entities: one ruthenium ion, 2‐phenylazopyridine (pap), and two o‐iminoquinone moieties, Q=3,5‐di‐tert‐butyl‐N‐aryl‐1,2‐benzoquinonemonoimine (aryl=C6H5 ( 1+ ); m‐(Cl)2C6H3 ( 2+ ); m‐(OCH3)2C6H3 ( 3+ ); m‐(tBu)2C6H3 ( 4 +)). A crystal structure determination of the representative compound, [ 1 ]ClO4, established the crystallization of the ctt‐isomeric form, that is, cis and trans with respect to the mutual orientations of O and N donors of two Q ligands, and the coordinating azo N atom trans to the O donor of Q. The sensitive C? O (average: 1.299(3) Å), C? N (average: 1.346(4) Å) and intra‐ring C? C (meta; average: 1.373(4) Å) bond lengths of the coordinated iminoquinone moieties in corroboration with the N?N length (1.292(3) Å) of pap in 1 + establish [RuIII(pap0)(Q.?)2]+ as the most appropriate electronic structural form. The coupling of three spins from one low‐spin ruthenium(III) (t2g5) and two Q.? radicals in 1 +– 4 + gives a ground state with one unpaired electron on Q.?, as evident from g=1.995 radical‐type EPR signals for 1 +– 4 +. Accordingly, the DFT‐calculated Mulliken spin densities of 1 + (1.152 for two Q, Ru: ?0.179, pap: 0.031) confirm Q‐based spin. Complex ions 1 +– 4 + exhibit two near‐IR absorption bands at about λ=2000 and 920 nm in addition to intense multiple transitions covering the visible to UV regions; compounds [ 1 ]ClO4–[ 4 ]ClO4 undergo one oxidation and three separate reduction processes within ±2.0 V versus SCE. The crystal structure of the neutral (one‐electron reduced) state ( 2 ) was determined to show metal‐based reduction and an EPR signal at g=1.996. The electronic transitions of the complexes 1 n– 4 n (n=+2, +1, 0, ?1, ?2) in the UV, visible, and NIR regions, as determined by using spectroelectrochemistry, have been analyzed by TD‐DFT calculations and reveal significant low‐energy absorbance (λmax>1000 nm) for cations, anions, and neutral forms. The experimental studies in combination with DFT calculations suggest the dominant valence configurations of 1 n– 4 n in the accessible redox states to be [RuIII(pap0)(Q.?)(Q0)]2+ ( 1 2+– 4 2+)→[RuIII(pap0)(Q.?)2]+ ( 1 +– 4 +)→[RuII(pap0)(Q.?)2] ( 1 – 4 )→[RuII(pap.?)(Q.?)2]? ( 1 ?– 4 ?)→[RuIII(pap.?)(Q2?)2]2? ( 1 2?– 4 2?).  相似文献

The title compound, trans‐[RuIICl2(N1‐mepym)4] (mepym is 4‐methylpyrimidine, C5H6N2), obtained from the reaction of trans,cis,cis‐[RuIICl2(N1‐mepym)2(SbPh3)2] (Ph is phenyl) with excess mepym in ethanol, has fourfold crystallographic symmetry and has the four pyrimidine bases coordinated through N1 and arranged in a propeller‐like orientation. The Ru—N and Ru—Cl bond distances are 2.082 (2) and 2.400 (4) Å, respectively. The methyl group, and the N3 and Cl atoms are involved in intermolecular C—H?N and C—H?Cl hydrogen‐bond interactions.  相似文献

The basic aqueous coordination chemistry of RuII has been studied using the catalytically important TPPTS phosphine (TPPTS=trisodium salt of 3,3′,3″‐phosphinetriylbenzenesulfonic acid) and small gas molecules (H2, CO, N2) as ligands. As a result, new water‐soluble ruthenium mixed hydride complexes, presumably key species in many industrial catalytic processes, have been formed and identified. The RuII mixed hydrides were synthesized, and their formation was followed in situ by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, pressurizing aqueous RuII? TPPTS systems with H2 and CO gas in sapphire NMR tubes. The formation equilibrium of these complexes is highly dependant on the temperature and the gas pressures. Under 50 atm of N2, the unique [RuH(CO)(N2)(TPPTS)2(H2O)]+ complex has been identified, which could be the first step toward dinitrogen activation.  相似文献

Coordination of a redox‐active pyridine aminophenol ligand to RuII followed by aerobic oxidation generates two diamagnetic RuIII species [ 1 a (cis) and 1 b (trans)] with ligand‐centered radicals. The reaction of 1 a / 1 b with excess NaN3 under inert atmosphere resulted in the formation of a rare bis(nitrido)‐bridged trinuclear ruthenium complex with two nonlinear asymmetrical Ru‐N‐Ru fragments. The spontaneous reduction of the ligand centered radical in the parent 1 a / 1 b supports the oxidation of a nitride (N3?) to half an equivalent of N2. The trinuclear omplex is reactive toward TEMPO‐H, tin hydrides, thiols, and dihydrogen.  相似文献

This article deals with the hitherto unexplored metal complexes of deprotonated 6,12‐di(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5,11‐dihydroindolo[3,2‐b]carbazole (H2L). The synthesis and structural, optical, electrochemical characterization of dimeric [{RuIII(acac)2}2(μ‐L.?)]ClO4 ([ 1 ]ClO4, S=1/2), [{RuII(bpy)2}2(μ‐L.?)](ClO4)3 ([ 2 ](ClO4)3, S=1/2), [{RuII(pap)2}2(μ‐L2?)](ClO4)2 ([ 4 ](ClO4)2, S=0), and monomeric [(bpy)2RuII(HL?)]ClO4 ([ 3 ]ClO4, S=0), [(pap)2RuII(HL?)]ClO4 ([ 5 ]ClO4, S=0) (acac=σ‐donating acetylacetonate, bpy=moderately π‐accepting 2,2’‐bipyridine, pap=strongly π‐accepting 2‐phenylazopyridine) are reported. The radical and dianionic states of deprotonated L in isolated dimeric 1 +/ 2 3+ and 4 2+, respectively, could be attributed to the varying electronic features of the ancillary (acac, bpy, and pap) ligands, as was reflected in their redox potentials. Perturbation of the energy level of the deprotonated L or HL upon coordination with {Ru(acac)2}, {Ru(bpy)2}, or {Ru(pap)2} led to the smaller energy gap in the frontier molecular orbitals (FMO), resulting in bathochromically shifted NIR absorption bands (800–2000 nm) in the accessible redox states of the complexes, which varied to some extent as a function of the ancillary ligands. Spectroelectrochemical (UV/Vis/NIR, EPR) studies along with DFT/TD‐DFT calculations revealed (i) involvement of deprotonated L or HL in the oxidation processes owing to its redox non‐innocent potential and (ii) metal (RuIII/RuII) or bpy/pap dominated reduction processes in 1 + or 2 2+/ 3 +/ 4 2+/ 5 +, respectively.  相似文献

The methylation of the uncoordinated nitrogen atom of the cyclometalated triruthenium cluster complexes [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N1,C6‐2‐Mepyr)(CO)10] ( 1 ; 2‐MepyrH=2‐methylpyrimidine) and [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N1,C6‐4‐Mepyr)(CO)10] ( 9 ; 4‐MepyrH=4‐methylpyrimidine) gives two similar cationic complexes, [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N1,C6‐2,3‐Me2pyr)(CO)10]+( 2 +) and [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N1,C6‐3,4‐Me2pyr)(CO)10]+ ( 9 +), respectively, whose heterocyclic ligands belong to a novel type of N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) that have the Ccarbene atom in 6‐position of a pyrimidine framework. The position of the C‐methyl group in the ligands of complexes 2 + (on C2) and 9 + (on C4) is of key importance for the outcome of their reactions with K[N(SiMe3)2], K‐selectride, and cobaltocene. Although these reagents react with 2 + to give [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N1,C6‐2‐CH2‐3‐Mepyr)(CO)10] ( 3 ; deprotonation of the C2‐Me group), [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ3‐κ3N1,C5,C6‐4‐H‐2,3‐Me2pyr)(CO)9] ( 4 ; hydride addition at C4), and [Ru6(μ‐H)26‐κ6N1,N1′,C5,C5′,C6,C6′‐4,4′‐bis(2,3‐Me2pyr)}(CO)18] ( 5 ; reductive dimerization at C4), respectively, similar reactions with 9 + have only allowed the isolation of [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ3‐κ2N1,C6‐2‐H‐3,4‐Me2pyr)(CO)9] ( 11 ; hydride addition at C2). Compounds 3 and 11 also contain novel six‐membered ring NHC ligands. Theoretical studies have established that the deprotonation of 2 + and 9 + (that have ligand‐based LUMOs) are charge‐controlled processes and that both the composition of the LUMOs of these cationic complexes and the steric protection of their ligand ring atoms govern the regioselectivity of their nucleophilic addition and reduction reactions.  相似文献

A series of octahedral RuII/RuIII complexes of the type [Ru(Y)(CO)(BAX)(PPh3)2] and [RuCl2(BAX)(PPh3)2] (Y = H or Cl; BAX = benzaldehydeacetylhydrazone anion; X = H, Me, OMe, OH, Cl or NO2) have been prepared and characterised by spectral, magnetic and cyclic voltammetric studies. The RuII complexes are low spin diamagnetic (S = 0) whereas the RuIII complexes are low spin and paramagnetic (S = 1/2). These RuII and RuIII complexes absorb in the visible region respectively at ca. 16,000 and 28,000 cm–1 which bands are assigned to the MLCT. The correlation of the max values of the RuIII complexes with the + Hammett parameter, is linear, indicating the profound effect of substituents on the electron density of the central metal. I.r. spectral data reveals that the hydrazone is chelated to ruthenium through the hydrazinic nitrogen and the deprotonated enolic oxygen. The rhombic nature of the e.s.r. spectra of the RuIII complexes indicates an asymmetry in the electronic environment around the Ru atom. RuII complexes in CH2Cl2 show an irreversible RuII/III redox couple at ca. 0.9–0.5 V, while the RuIII complexes show two reversible redox couples in the –0.1–0.1 and 0.8–0.6 V range, indicating that the higher oxidation state of ruthenium is stabilised by hydrazones.  相似文献
