In this paper,we study the Lp boundedness for the singular integral operators of R.Fef-ferman when the kernel satisfies certain size condition.We also consider the corresponding maximal singular integral operators.

The Merris‘ conjectures for threshold graphs and d-regular graphs are proved. Andthe one of the conjectures of Merris holds for trees is also proved.     

NOTE ON A BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM OF POISSON＇S EQUATION

This note shows that fur a BVP of Poisson‘s equation with Qm(u,v) as its source function, a direct evaluation of some integrals yields the same exact results as obtained by similarity analysis.     

A SIMPLIFIED BRAUER＇S THEOREM ON MATRIX EIGENVALUES

Let A=(a _ij)∈C ^n×n and . Suppose that for each row of A there is at least one nonzero off-diagonal entry. It is proved that all eigenvalues of A are contained in . The result reduces the number of ovals in original Brauer’s theorem in many cases. Eigenvalues (and associated eigenvectors) that locate in the boundary of are discussed. A NOTE ON THE SINGULAR AND EXPONENTIAL SPECTRUM IN BANACH ALGEBRAS

Abstract

Let A be a unitary Banach algebra and let B be a closed subalgebra of A that contains the unit. For an element of B we show in this note how both the singular and exponential spectrum depends on the algebra.     

A NOTE ON SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS OF SHAPE-FROM-MOMENTS

The shape-from-moments problem is to reconstruct a planar polygon from a set of its complex moments. To reconstruct a polygon means to estimate the vertices and the ordering of the vertices. We notice that some coefficients are very important in finding out the ordering of the vertices. We introduce sensitive factors for the coefficients and use it to analyze sensitivity. These factors are also useful for the sensitivity of the vertices.
