Forced vibrations of cylindrical shells described by a system of three ordinary differential equations are studied. There are two internal resonances. Standing and traveling waves in the shells are described by a system of six modulation equations derived using the multiple-scales method. Wave resonances in the hydrodynamic model of an isotropic collisionless quasi-neutral hot plasma with isothermal ions and electrons are considered. These resonances lead to the formation of two types of solitary waves: solitary waves proper and generalized solitary waves. The latter result from the nonlinear resonance of the proper solitary waves with magnetosonic and Alfvén periodic waves. The possibility of observing these waves in the Earth's magnetospheric plasma is discussed.  相似文献

A dispersion equation is set up to study natural harmonic waves in a cylindrical isotropic shell. A numerical approach to plotting dispersion diagrams is proposed. The forced nonlinear vibrations of a cylindrical shell fully filled with a fluid in instability zones of single-mode deformation are analyzed. It is shown that the deformation mode of the shell in these zones is traveling bending waves propagating in the circumference direction. A closed-form expression for the leading-order dispersion coefficient, describing the trend of Lamb-wave branches at their onset from thickness resonances, is derived for an arbitrary anisotropic plate. The sign of this coefficient and hence of the in-plane group velocity near cutoffs decides the existence or non-existence of the backward Lamb waves without a necessity to calculate the dispersion branches. A link between the near-cutoff dispersion of Lamb waves and the curvature of bulk-wave slowness curves in a sagittal plane is analyzed. It is established that a locally concave slowness curve of a bulk mode entails the backward Lamb waves at the onset of branches emerging from this bulk mode resonances of high enough order. A simple sufficient condition for no backward Lamb waves near the resonances associated with a convex slowness curve is also noted. Two special cases are discussed: the first involves the coupled resonances of degenerate bulk waves, and the second concerns quasi-degenerate resonances which give rise to pairs of dispersion branches with a quasilinear positive and negative onset. Occasions of the backward Lamb waves in isotropic plate materials are tabulated.  相似文献

有限长的计及剪切变形和转动惯性的弹性圆柱壳的轴对称运动方程经过Laplace变换后转化为一组相空间中的方程。对该方程组作了一些适当的处理后,应用广义射线法,得到了相空间中位移和内力的射线法表达式。采用快速Fourier变换作Laplacl逆变换,即可得到圆柱壳受轴对称冲击载荷时的弹性瞬态波解。  相似文献

An equation is derived, using Timoshenko shell theory, to analyze axisymmetric strain fields in an orthotropic cylindrical shell on an elastic foundation. Also a dispersion equation is derived to study the natural harmonic waves in a shell depending on the properties of the elastic foundation. The wave velocities computed by the numerical method proposed are in agreement with the analytical solutions, which confirms the reliability of the results  相似文献

将波函数展开法与奇异积分方程技术相结合研究了平面波对有部分脱胶衬砌的圆形孔洞的散射。将脱离区看作弧形裂纹并忽略裂纹表面的相互作用。将衬砌和基体中的波场展开成Fou-rier-Bessel级数,利用混合边界条件得到一组对偶级数方程组并进一步转化成Hilbert奇异积分方程。数值求解给出了脱离区大小和衬砌厚度对动应力强度因子(DSIF)和散射截面(SCS)的影响。结果显示由于脱胶,动应力强度因子和散射截面呈现明显的低频共振特性。  相似文献

This article continues the study, initiated in [27, 7], of the validity of the Zakharov model which describes Langmuir turbulence. We give an existence theorem for a class of singular quasilinear equations. This theorem is valid for prepared initial data. We apply this result to the Euler–Maxwell equations which describes laser-plasma interactions, to obtain, in a high-frequency limit, an asymptotic estimate that describes solutions of the Euler–Maxwell equations in terms of WKB approximate solutions, the leading terms of which are solutions of the Zakharov equations. Due to the transparency properties of the Euler–Maxwell equations evidenced in [27], this study is carried out in a supercritical (highly nonlinear) regime. In such a regime, resonances between plasma waves, electromagnetric waves and acoustic waves could create instabilities in small time. The key of this work is the control of these resonances. The proof involves the techniques of geometric optics of JOLY, MéTIVIER and RAUCH [12, 13]; recent results by LANNES on norms of pseudodifferential operators [14]; and a semiclassical paradifferential calculus.  相似文献

It is shown that for some seismic media both quadratic and cubic non-linearities should be taken into account in the governing equation for longitudinal waves. The new equation is obtained to account for non-linear surface waves in a medium surrounding a non-linearly elastic rod. Exact solutions of the equation allow us to describe simultaneous propagation of tensile and compressive localized strain waves. Various interactions between these waves give rise to both the multi-bump and “Mexican hat” localized wave structures closer to the surface waves recently observed in experiments.  相似文献

An exact analysis is carried out to study interaction of a time-harmonic plane-progressive sound field with a multi-layered elastic hollow sphere made of spherically isotropic materials with interlaminar bonding imperfections. A modal state equation with variable coefficients is set up in terms of appropriate displacement and stress functions and their spherical harmonics, ultimately leading to calculation of a global transfer matrix. A linear spring model is adopted to describe the interlaminar adhesive bonding whose effects are incorporated into the global transfer matrix by introduction of proper interfacial transfer matrices. The solution is first used to correlate the perturbation in the material elastic constants of an evacuated and water submerged steel (isotropic) spherical shell to the sensitivity of resonances appearing in the backscattered amplitude spectrum. The backscattering form function, in addition to the acoustic radiation force acting on selected transversely isotropic spherical shells with distinct degrees of material anisotropy, is subsequently calculated and discussed. An illustrative numerical example is given for a multi-layered hollow sphere with two distinct interlaminar interface conditions (i.e., perfectly and imperfectly bonded layers). Limiting cases are considered and fair agreements with solutions available in the literature are established.  相似文献

运用有限元特征值分析方法对应力波作用下圆柱壳塑性轴对称动力失稳问题进行了研究。基于应力波理论和相邻平衡准则导出了圆柱壳轴对称动力失稳时的特征方程,在分析中同时考虑了应力波效应及横向惯性效应,把圆柱壳塑性动力失稳问题归结为特征值问题。通过引入圆柱壳动力失稳时的波前约束条件实现了此类问题的有限元特征值解法。计算结果揭示了圆柱壳塑性轴对称动力屈曲变形发展的机理,以及轴向应力波和屈曲变形的相互作用规律。  相似文献

The paper presents the effect of a rigid boundary on the propagation of torsional surface waves in a porous elastic layer over a porous elastic half-space using the mechanics of the medium derived by Cowin and Nunziato (Cowin, S. C. and Nunziato, J. W. Linear elastic materials with voids. Journal of Elasticity, 13(2), 125–147 (1983)). The velocity equation is derived, and the results are discussed. It is observed that there may be two torsional surface wave fronts in the medium whereas three wave fronts of torsional surface waves in the absence of the rigid boundary plane given by Dey et al. (Dey, S., Gupta, S., Gupta, A. K., Kar, S. K., and De, P. K. Propagation of torsional surface waves in an elastic layer with void pores over an elastic half-space with void pores. Tamkang Journal of Science and Engineering, 6(4), 241–249 (2003)). The results also reveal that in the porous layer, the Love wave is also available along with the torsional surface waves. It is remarkable that the phase speed of the Love wave in a porous layer with a rigid surface is different from that in a porous layer with a free surface. The torsional waves are observed to be dispersive in nature, and the velocity decreases as the oscillation frequency increases.  相似文献

The global structure stability of the impact-induced tensile waves mentioned by Huang (Huang, S. J. Impact-induced tensile waves in a kind of phase-transforming materials. IMA Journal of Applied Mathematics, 76, 847-858 (2011)) is considered. By introducing Riemann invariants, the governing equations of motion are reduced into a 2 ~ 2 diagonally strictly hyperbolic system. Then, with the aid of the theory on the typical free boundary problem and maximally dissipative kinetics, the global structure stability of the impact-induced tensile waves propagating in a phase-transforming material is proved.  相似文献

Three-wave interaction between capillary-gravity waves on a uniformly charged free fluid surface is analyzed using second-order analytic calculations. The time evolution of the wave amplitudes in the state of nonlinear resonance is studied. It is shown that the number of three-wave resonances is infinite and their exact locations for waves of finite amplitude depend on the initial conditions.  相似文献

The Rayleigh wave, that propagates at the free surface of semi-infinite anisotropic medium, is composed of three inhomogeneous partial waves, each propagating along the surface with a different attenuation along the depth. Since this wave does not exhibit an attenuation on the surface, let us call it the homogeneous Rayleigh wave. The associated slowness corresponds to the real solution of the Rayleigh dispersion equation. Besides this classical solution, an infinite number of complex solutions of the Rayleigh dispersion equation exits. For such particular Rayleigh waves, the slowness vector, i.e. the identical component on the surface of the slowness of each partial waves, is taken to be complex. Thus, these Rayleigh waves are attenuated on the surface and as shown here, their attenuation is normal to the ray direction (or the energy velocity direction). Similarly to the infinite inhomogeneous plane waves which can be associated with complex rays, we call these waves, inhomogeneous Rayleigh waves. We use the inhomogeneous skimming waves, which are inhomogeneous plane waves, and the inhomogeneous Rayleigh waves to explain differently the usual diffraction phenomena on the free surface which cannot be explained by the real ray theory. For example, the arrival time of the wave packet observed beyond the cusp is in perfect accordance with the arrival time of some specific inhomogeneous Rayleigh waves. We show that these results are in agreement with the computation of the Green function. They apply to the theory of surface waves in linear elastodynamics with intrinsic anisotropy as well as to the theory of surface waves in linearised (incremental) elastodynamics with strain-induced anisotropy (also known as small-amplitude waves superimposed on the large static homogeneous deformation of a non-linear solid).  相似文献
