The synthesis and electrochemical properties of the DHDA-TTP donor, a hybrid of 2,5-bis(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDH-TTP) and 2,5-bis(1,3-dithian-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDA-TTP), has been investigated, and its ability to form metallic cation-radical salts is elucidated.  相似文献

New radical cation salts based on 2,5-bis(1,3-dithian-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDA-TTP) with copper(II) metal complex anions, β-(BDA-TTP)4Cu2Cl6 and (BDA-TTP)2CuCl4, were synthesized and structurally characterized. Single crystals were prepared by electrochemical oxidation of BDA-TTP under galvanostatic conditions. X-ray diffraction study demonstrated that the salts have a layered structure, in which the conducting BDA-TTP layers alternate with the [Cu2Cl6]2− or [CuCl4]2− anions. Both salts show the semiconductor-type temperature dependence of the conductivity. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 1, pp. 48–54, January, 2007.  相似文献

Three FeCl4 salts based on non-tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) donors, 2,5-bis(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDH-TTP) and 2,5-bis(1,3-dithian-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDA-TTP), have been prepared and characterized as κ-(BDH-TTP)2FeCl4, β-(BDA-TTP)2FeCl4, and (BDA-TTP)3FeCl4 · PhCl. The κ-(BDH-TTP)2FeCl4 salt, with a room-temperature conductivity (σrt) of 39 S cm−1, is metallic down to 1.5 K, and its magnetic susceptibility obeys the Curie-Weiss law with a Curie constant (C) of 4.25 emu K mol−1 and a Weiss constant (θ) of 0.041 K. β-(BDA-TTP)2FeCl4 exhibits metallic behavior (σrt=9.4 S cm−1) with a sharp metal-to-insulator (MI) transition (TMI=113 K) and antiferromagnetic ordering with the Néel temperature of near 8.5 K, whereas the solvated (BDA-TTP)3FeCl4 · PhCl salt is a semiconductor with a thermal activation energy of 0.11 eV (σrt=2.0× 10−2 S cm−1) and exhibits Curie-Weiss behavior (C=4.42 emu K mol−1, θ=−0.35 K).  相似文献

Dependence of the superconducting transition temperature (T(c)) and critial superconducting pressure (P(c)) of the pressure-induced superconductor β-(BDA-TTP)(2)I(3) [BDA-TTP = 2,5-bis(1,3-dithian-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene] on the orientation of uniaxial strain has been investigated. On the basis of the overlap between the upper and lower bands in the energy dispersion curve, the pressure orientation is thought to change the half-filled band to the quarter-filled one. The observed variations in T(c) and P(c) are explained by considering the degree of application of the pressure and the degree of contribution of the effective electronic correlation at uniaxial strains with different orientations parallel to the conducting donor layer.  相似文献

Bis-fused pi-electron donors composed of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) and 2-(thiopyran-4-ylidene)-1,3-dithiole (TPDT), 2-(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)-5-(thiopyran-4-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (1a, TPDT-TTP), and its derivatives (1b-d, 2a-d) have been synthesized as donor components for organic conductors. An X-ray structure analysis of bis(methylthio)-1 (1c) revealed that the TPDT-TTP skeleton is almost planar except for the outer 1,3-dithiole ring, and that the crystal has a two-dimensional "theta-type" arrangement of molecules. The cyclic voltammograms of TPDT-TTPs exhibit four pairs of single-electron redox waves. The first oxidation potential (E(1)) of 1a (+0.37 V vs SCE, in PhCN) is comparable to that of TTF (+0.35 V) and is higher by 0.1 V than that of TPDT (+0.27 V). The observed substituent effect on E(1) values suggests that the first one-electron oxidation mainly occurs in the 2-(thiopyran-4-ylidene)-1,3-dithiole (TPDT) moiety. On the other hand, on-site coulombic repulsion estimated from the E(2) - E(1) value is lower than in TTF and TPDT. MNDO MO calculations reveal that all the sulfur atoms in the 1,3-dithiole rings have the same phase in the HOMO, a condition necessary for realization of effective transverse intermolecular interaction. The present donors have produced many charge-transfer complexes and cation radical salts showing relatively high conductivity (sigma(rt) = 10(-)(1)-10(1) S cm(-)(1)), several of which display metallic temperature dependence.  相似文献

The crystal structure and physical properties of radical ion salts (EDO-TTFBr2)2FeX4 (X = Cl, Br) based on halogen-substituted organic donor and magnetic anions are investigated, including the comparison with the isomorphous compounds (EDO-TTFBr2)2GaX4 with nonmagnetic anions. The crystal structure of these four salts consists of uniformly stacked donor molecules and tetrahedral counter anions, and the Br substituents of the donor molecules are connected to halide ligands of anions with remarkably short intermolecular atomic distances. These salts show metallic behavior around room temperature and undergo a spin-density-wave transition in the low-temperature range, as confirmed with the divergence of the electron spin resonance (ESR) line width. Although close anion-anion contacts are absent in these salts, the FeCl4 salt undergoes an antiferromagnetic transition at TN = 4.2 K, and the FeBr4 salt shows successive magnetic transitions at TN = 13.5 K and TC2 = 8.5 K with a helical spin structure as a candidate for the ground state of the d-electron spins. The magnetoresistance of the FeCl4 salt shows stepwise anomalies, which are explained qualitatively using a pi-d interaction-based frustrated spin system model composed of the donor pi-electron and the anion d-electron spins. Although on the ESR spectra of the FeX4 salts signals from the pi- and d-electron spins are separately observed, the line width of the pi-electron spins broadens under the temperature where the susceptibility deviates from the Curie-Weiss behavior, showing the presence of the pi-d interaction.  相似文献

The preparation, crystal structures, and optical and magnetic properties of two new charge-transfer salts kappa-(EDDH-TTP)(3)[Cr(phen)(NCS)(4)] x 2CH(2)Cl(2) (1) and kappa(21)-(BDH-TTP)(5)[Cr(phen)(NCS)(4)](2) x 2CH(2)Cl(2) (2), where phen = 1,10- phenanthroline, EDDH-TTP = 2-(4,5-ethylenedithio-1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)-5-(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene, and BDH-TTP = 2,5-bis(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene, are reported. Crystal data: (1) monoclinic P2(1)/a, a = 25.0752(5) A, b = 10.6732(3) A, c = 28.1601(6) A, beta = 95.195(2) degrees, Z = 4, R = 0.0585 for 6741 independent reflections with I > 3 sigma(I); (2) monoclinic P2(1)/a, a = 23.8275(4) A, b = 9.1015 (2) A, c = 27.0420(1) A, beta = 99.9297(8) degrees, Z = 4, R = 0.0530 for 4565 independent reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). The crystal structures for both compounds consist of alternating organic and inorganic layers. The organic layer in compound 1 is characterized as kappa-type, while the organic layer in 2 resembles the kappa-type but it contains orthogonal dimers and monomers, and it is therefore called kappa(21). Compound 1 shows metallic behavior down to low temperature. Salt 2 shows semiconductive behavior, which is explained as the result of either charge ordering owing to the kappa(21)-type structure or Peierls distortion due to the one-dimensional electronic nature. However, weak metallic behavior could be observed at 10 kbar above ca. 150 K and at 15 kbar above 170 K. The magnetic susceptibilities for both compounds show Curie-Weiss behavior, showing that the exchange interactions between the magnetic anions are weak. Polarized reflectance spectra of single crystals were measured over the spectral range from 650 to 7000 cm(-1). Moreover, absorption and diffusion reflectance spectra of powdered crystals dispersed in KBr (from 400 to 7000 cm(-1)) were recorded. Vibrational and electronic features are discussed.  相似文献

The preparation, X-ray crystal structures, and magnetic properties of two new isostructural charge transfer salts, (BDH-TTP)M(isoq)(2)(NCS)(4) (M = Cr(III) (1), Fe(III) (2), BDH-TTP = 2,5-bis(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene, isoq = isoquinoline), are reported. Crystal data for 1: monoclinic, space group C2/c (#15), a = 16.1363(9) A, b = 19.0874(12) A, c = 12.5075(6) A, beta = 95.70(4) degrees, V = 3833.2(4) A(3), Z = 4, R = 0.0516 for 2844 reflections with I > 2 sigma(I); for 2: monoclinic, C2/c (#15), a = 16.1938(8) A, b = 19.1117(11) A, c = 12.5100(10) A, beta = 94.265(3) degrees, V = 3861.0(4) A(3), Z = 4, R = 0.0479 for 2969 reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). The crystal structure consists of zigzag mixed organic and inorganic layers, and each layer is formed by mixed columns of BDH-TTP radical cations and paramagnetic metal complex anions. Short intermolecular atomic contacts between donor and anion are observed within the column in the c-direction. The two compounds have weak room-temperature electrical conductivities. ESR measurements show a single signal without separating the donor and anion spins, suggesting a pi interaction between the d and pi electrons. For both compounds ferrimagnetic interactions are observed between the nonequivalent donor and anion spins. These materials exhibit bulk canted weak ferromagnetism below 7.6 K for both 1 and 2.  相似文献

Reactions between [M(N(4)-macrocycle)](2+) (M = Zn(II) and Ni(II); macrocycle ligands are either CTH = d,l-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane or cyclam = 1,4, 8, 11-tetrazaazaciclotetradecane) and [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Fe(III) and Mn(III)) give rise to cyano-bridged assemblies with 1D linear chain and 2D honeycomblike structures. The magnetic measurements on the 1D linear chain complex [Fe(cyclam)][Fe(CN)(6)].6H(2)O 1 points out its metamagnetic behavior, where the ferromagnetic interaction operates within the chain and the antiferromagnetic one between chains. The Neel temperature, T(N), is 5.5 K and the critical field at 2 K is 1 T. The unexpected ferromagnetic intrachain interaction can be rationalized on the basis of the axially elongated octahedral geometry of the low spin Fe(III) ion of the [Fe(cyclam)](3+) unit. The isostructural substitution of [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) by [Mn(CN)(6)](3-) in the previously reported complex [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).12H(2)O 2 leads to [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Mn(CN)(6)](2).16 H(2)O 3, which exhibits a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a metamagnetic behavior with T(N) = 16 K and a critical field of 1 T. In the ferromagnetic phase (H > 1 T) this compound shows a very important coercitive field of 2900 G at 2 K. Compound [Ni(CTH)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).13H(2)O 4, C(60)H(116)Fe(2)N(24)Ni(3)O(13), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 20.462(7), b = 16.292(4), c = 27.262(7) A, beta = 101.29(4) degrees, Z = 4, also has a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a ferromagnetic intralayer interaction, but, in contrast to 2 and 3, does not exhibit any magnetic ordering. This fact is likely due to the increase of the interlayer separation in this compound. ([Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)] [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)].22H(2)O.EtOH) 5, C(44)H(122)Fe(2)N(24)O(23)Zn(3), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 14.5474(11), b = 37.056(2), c = 14.7173(13) A, beta = 93.94(1) degrees, Z = 4, presents an unique structure made of anionic linear chains containing alternating [Zn(cyclam)](2+) and [Fe(CN)(6)](3)(-) units and cationic trinuclear units [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)](+). Their magnetic properties agree well with those expected for two [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) units with spin-orbit coupling effect of the low spin iron(III) ions.  相似文献

Using a high-pressure technique, we have successfully synthesized (Ca(3)Al(2)O(5-y))(Fe(2)Pn(2)) (Pn = As and P), the first iron-based superconductors with the perovskite-based "32522" structure to be reported. The transition temperature (T(c)) is 30.2 K for Pn = As and 16.6 K for Pn = P. The emergence of superconductivity is ascribed to the small tetragonal a-axis lattice constant of the materials. From these results, an empirical relationship is established between the a-axis lattice constant and T(c) in iron-based superconductors, which offers a practical guideline for exploring new superconductors with higher T(c).  相似文献

The synthesis of novel electrochemically amphoteric TTFAQ-sigma-A compounds (TTFAQ = 9,10-bis(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)-9,10-dihydroanthracene, sigma = saturated spacer, A = polynitrofluorene acceptor) is reported. Their solution redox behavior is characterized by three single-electron reduction and one two-electron oxidation waves. Electrochemical quasireversibility of the TTFAQ(2+) state and a low E(ox) - E(red) gap ( approximately 0.25 V) for 3-(9-dicyanomethylene-4,5,7-trinitrofluorene-2-sulfonyl)-propionic acid 2-[10-(4,5-dimethyl-[1,3]dithiol-2-ylidene)-9,10-dihydroanthracen-9-ylidene]-5-methyl-[1,3]dithiol-4-ylmethyl ester (10) has enabled the electrochemical generation of the hitherto unknown transient D(2+)-sigma-A(.-) state as observed in cyclic voltammetry and time-resolved spectroelectrochemistry. The ground state of compound 10 was shown to be ionic in the solid but is essentially neutral in solution (according to electron paramagnetic resonance). The X-ray structure of an intermolecular 1:2 complex between 2-[2,7-bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)-9,10-bis(4,5-dimethyl-[1,3]dithiol-2-ylidene)-9,10-dihydroanthracene and 2,5,7-trinitro-4-bromo-9-dicyanomethylenefluorene, 14.(17)(2), reveals, for the first time, full electron transfer in a fluorene charge-transfer complex.  相似文献

The syntheses and properties of tetra- and pentanuclear vanadium(IV,V) carboxylate complexes are reported. Reaction of (NBzEt(3))(2)[VOCl(4)] (1a) with NaO(2)CPh and atmospheric H(2)O/O(2) in MeCN leads to formation of (NBzEt(3))(2)[V(5)O(9)Cl(O(2)CPh)(4)] 4a; a similar reaction employing (NEt(4))(2)[VOCl(4)] (1b) gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Cl(O(2)CPh)(4)] (4b). Complex 4a.MeCN crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with the following unit cell dimensions at -148 degrees C: a = 13.863(13) ?, b = 34.009(43) ?, c = 12.773(11) ?, and Z = 4. The reaction between (NEt(4))(2)[VOBr(4)] (2a) and NaO(2)CPh under similar conditions gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Br(O(2)CPh)(4)] (6a), and the use of (PPh(4))(2)[VOBr(4)] (2b) likewise gives (PPh(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Br(O(2)CPh)(4)] (6b). Complex 6b crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with the following unit cell dimensions at -139 degrees C: a = 18.638(3) ?, b = 23.557(4) ?, c = 12.731(2) ?, and Z = 4. The anions of 4a and 6b consist of a V(5) square pyramid with each vertical face bridged by a &mgr;(3)-O(2)(-) ion, the basal face bridged by a &mgr;(4)-X(-) (X = Cl, Br) ion, and a terminal, multiply-bonded O(2)(-) ion on each metal. The RCO(2)(-) groups bridge each basal edge to give C(4)(v)() virtual symmetry. The apical and basal metals are V(V) and V(IV), respectively (i.e., the anions are trapped-valence). The reaction of 1b with AgNO(3) and Na(tca) (tca = thiophene-2-carboxylate) in MeCN under anaerobic conditions gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(4)O(8)(NO(3))(tca)(4)] (7). Complex 7.H(2)O crystallizes in space group C2/c with the following unit cell dimensions at -170 degrees C: a = 23.606(4) ?, b = 15.211(3) ?, c = 23.999(5) ?, and Z = 4. The anion of 7 is similar to those of 4a and 6b except that the apical [VO] unit is absent, leaving a V(4) square unit, and the &mgr;(4)-X(-) ion is replaced with a &mgr;(4),eta(1)-NO(3)(-) ion. The four metal centers are now at the V(IV), 3V(V) oxidation level, but the structure indicates four equivalent V centers, suggesting an electronically delocalized system. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data were collected on powdered samples of 4b, 6a, and 7 in the 2.00-300 K range in a 10 kG applied field. 4b and 6a both show a slow increase in effective magnetic moment (&mgr;(eff)) from approximately 3.6-3.7 &mgr;(B) at 320 K to approximately 4.5-4.6 &mgr;(B) at 11.0 K and then a slight decrease to approximately 4.2 &mgr;(B) at 2.00 K. The data were fit to the theoretical expression for a V(IV)(4) square with two exchange parameters J = J(cis)() and J' = J(trans)() (H = -2JS(i)()S(j)()): fitting of the data gave, in the format 4b/6a, J= +39.7/+46.4 cm(-)(1), J' = -11.1/-18.2 cm(-)(1) and g = 1.83/1.90, with the complexes possessing S(T) = 2 ground states. The latter were confirmed by magnetization vs field studies in the 2.00-30.0 K and 0.500-50.0 kG ranges: fitting of the data gave S(T) = 2 and D = 0.00 cm(-)(1) for both complexes, where D is the axial zero-field splitting parameter. Complex 7 shows a nearly temperature-independent &mgr;(eff) (1.6-2.0 &mgr;(B)) consistent with a single d electron per V(4) unit. The (1)H NMR spectra of 4b and 6a in CD(3)CN are consistent with retention of their pentanuclear structure on dissolution. The EPR spectrum of 7 in a toluene/MeCN (1:2) solution at approximately 25 degrees C yields an isotropic signal with a 29-line hyperfine pattern assignable to hyperfine interactions with four equivalent I = (7)/(2) (51)V nuclei.  相似文献

The unsymmetrical pi donor dimethyl(ethylenedioxy)tetraselenafulvalene (DMEDO-TSeF) has provided six new organic superconductors with a monovalent square-planar [Au(CN)(4)](-) ion and cyclic ethers as solvent of crystallization. The six new organic superconductors kappa-(DMEDO-TSeF)(2)[Au(CN)(4)](solv.) [solv.=1,3-dioxolane (DOL), 2,5-dihydrofuran (DHF), tetrahydropyran (THP), 1,3-dioxane (1,3-DOX), 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran (DHP), or 1,4-dioxane (1,4-DOX)] are classified into two subphases kappa(L) and kappa' according to the differences in their space group symmetry. kappa(L)-(DMEDO-TSeF)(2)[Au(CN)(4)](solv.) (solv.=DOL, DHF, THP, 1,3-DOX or DHP) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma, and T(c) of the kappa(L) phase varies by 1.7-5.3 K according to the size and shape of the solvent of crystallization. On the other hand, kappa'-(DMEDO-TSeF)(2)[Au(CN)(4)](solv.) (solv.=DOL or 1,4-DOX) crystallizes in the noncentrosymmetric monoclinic space group Cc. The kappa'-phase containing 1,4-DOX shows superconductivity at 4.2 K, but the kappa'-phase containing DOL does not show superconductivity down to 1.4 K. Systematic investigation of the six new organic superconductors, together with the two previously reported superconductors kappa(H)- and kappa(L)-(DMEDO-TSeF)(2)[Au(CN)(4)](THF), revealed that the T(c) of the present system is finely tunable by utilizing the effect of the solvent of crystallization.  相似文献

The three regioisomers of beta-cyclodextrin 6-difunctionalized with NH(2) groups (6(A),6(X)-diamino-6(A),6(X)-dideoxy-beta-cyclodextrin, A,X-CDNH(2), X = B, C, or D) were synthesized. Their binary and ternary copper(II) complexes with amino acids were characterized by ESR and electronic spectroscopy. Furthermore, the binary copper(II) complexes were used as eluent in ligand exchange chromatography (LEC), to resolve racemates of unmodified amino acids. HPLC separation of enantiomers of aromatic amino acids was obtained only when the complex [Cu(A,B-CDNH(2))](2+) was used as eluent. The two complexes with the other two regioisomers did not show chiral recognition ability. Circular dichroism (c.d.) spectroscopy studies of the ternary complexes with D- and L-amino acids carried out in the presence and in the absence of 1-adamantanol, suggested a recognition mechanism that involves the cyclodextrin cavity, only in the case of ternary A,B-CDNH(2) complexes.  相似文献

Ferromagnetic [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(CuCl)(6)(SbW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (1) and antiferromagnetic [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(MnCl)(6)(AsW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (4) have been synthesized and structurally and magnetically characterized. Two complexes are structural analogues of [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(CuCl)(6)(AsW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (2) and [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(MnCl)(6)(SbW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (3) with their ferromagnetic interactions, first reported by us in 2006. (1) When variable temperature (T) direct current (dc) magnetic susceptibility (χ(M)) data are analyzed with the isotropic exchange Hamiltonian for the magnetic exchange interactions, χ(M)T vs T curves fitted by a full matrix diagonalization (for 1) and by the Kambe vector coupling method/Van Vleck's approximation (for 4) yield J = +29.5 and -0.09 cm(-1) and g = 2.3 and 1.9, respectively. These J values were significantly distinguished from +61.0 and +0.14 cm(-1) for 2 and 3, respectively. The magnetization under the pulsed field (up to 10(3) T/s) at 0.5 K exhibits hysteresis loops in the adiabatic process, and the differential magnetization (dM/dB) plots against the pulsed field display peaks characteristic of resonant quantum tunneling of magnetization (QTM) at Zeeman crossed fields, indicating single-molecule magnets for 1-3. High-frequency ESR (HFESR) spectroscopy on polycrystalline samples provides g(∥) = 2.30, g(⊥) = 2.19, and D = -0.147 cm(-1) for 1 (S = 3 ground state), g(∥) = 2.29, g(⊥) = 2.20, and D = -0.145 cm(-1) for 2 (S = 3), and g(∥) = 2.03 and D = -0.007 cm(-1) for 3 (S = 15). An attempt to rationalize the magnetostructural correlation among 1-4, the structurally and magnetically modified D(3d)-symmetric M (=Cu(II) and Mn(II))(6) hexagons sandwiched by two diamagnetic α-B-[XW(9)O(33)](9-) (X = Sb(III) and As(III)) ligands through M-(μ(3)-O)-W linkages, is made. The strongest ferromagnetic coupling for the Cu(6) hexagon of 2, the structure of which approximately provides the Cu(6)(μ(3)-O)(12) cylindrical geometry, is demonstrated by the polarization mechanism based on the point-dipole approximation, which provides a decrease of the ferromagnetic interaction due to the out-of-cylinder deviation of the Cu atoms for 1. The different nature of the magnetic exchange interaction in 3 and 4 is understood by the combined effect of the out-of plane deviation (the largest for 4) of the Mn atoms from the Mn(μ(3)-O)(2)Mn least-squares plane and the antiferromagnetic contribution arising from the large Mn-O-Mn bond angle. The primary contribution to D is discussed in terms of the magnetic dipole-dipole interaction between the electrons located on the magnetic sites in the M(6) hexagon.  相似文献
