The effect of a time-correlated Gaussian noise on one-dimensional arrays consisting of diffusively coupled chaotic cells is analyzed. A resonance effect between the time scale of the chaotic attractor and the colored Gaussian noise has been found. As well, depending on the number of cells, coupling, and noise strength, an improvement of the synchronization or a poor synchronization between cells within the array can occur for some values of the time correlation. These nonlinear cooperative effects are studied in terms of a linear stability analysis around the uniform synchronized behavior. 相似文献

We demonstrate the existence of phase synchronization of two chaotic rotators. Contrary to phase synchronization of chaotic oscillators, here the Lyapunov exponents corresponding to both phases remain positive even in the synchronous regime. Such frequency locked dynamics with different ratios of frequencies are studied for driven continuous-time rotators and for discrete circle maps. We show that this transition to phase synchronization occurs via a crisis transition to a band-structured attractor. 相似文献

The issue of impulsive synchronization of a class of chaotic systems is investigated. Based on the impulsive theory and linear matrix inequality technique, some less conservative and easily verified criteria for impulsive synchronization of chaotic systems are derived. The proposed method is applied to the original Chua oscillators, and the corresponding synchronization conditions are obtained. Moreover, the boundary of the stable region is also estimated in terms of the equidistant impulse interval. The effectiveness of our method is shown by computer simulation. 相似文献

This paper deals with the chaotic oscillator synchronization. An approach to the synchronization of chaotic oscillators has been proposed. This approach is based on the analysis of different time scales in the time series generated by the coupled chaotic oscillators. It has been shown that complete synchronization, phase synchronization, lag synchronization, and generalized synchronization are the particular cases of the synchronized behavior called "time-scale synchronization." The quantitative measure of chaotic oscillator synchronous behavior has been proposed. This approach has been applied for the coupled R?ssler systems and two coupled Chua's circuits. 相似文献

In this paper we consider the anticipating synchronization of chaotic time-delayed Lur'e-type systems in a master-slave setting. We introduce three scenarios for anticipating synchronization, and give sufficient conditions for the existence of anticipating synchronizing slave systems in terms of linear matrix inequalities. In this paper we briefly report some recent developments on generalized synchronization. We discuss different methods of detecting generalized synchronization. We first consider two unidirectionally coupled systems and then two mutually coupled systems. We then extend the study to a network of coupled systems. In the study of generalized synchronization of coupled nonidentical systems we discuss the Master Stability Function (MSF) formalism for coupled nearly identical systems. Later we use this MSF to construct synchronized optimized networks. In the optimized networks the nodes which have parameter value at one extreme are chosen as hubs and the pair of nodes with larger difference in parameter are chosen to create links. 相似文献

We study phase synchronization effects of chaotic oscillators with a type-I intermittency behavior. The external and mutual locking of the average length of the laminar stage for coupled discrete and continuous in time systems is shown and the mechanism of this synchronization is explained. We demonstrate that this phenomenon can be described by using results of the parametric resonance theory and that this correspondence enables one to predict and derive all zones of synchronization. 相似文献

The effects of noise on phase synchronization (PS) of coupled chaotic oscillators are explored. In contrast to coupled periodic oscillators, noise is found to enhance phase synchronization significantly below the threshold of PS. Whether common noise can induce complete synchronization in chaotic systems has been a topic of great relevance and long-standing controversy. We first clarify the mechanism of this phenomenon and show that the existence of a significant contraction region, where nearby trajectories converge, plays a decisive role. Second, we demonstrate that, more generally, common noise can induce phase synchronization in nonidentical chaotic systems. Such a noise-induced synchronization and synchronization transitions are of special significance for understanding neuron encoding in neurobiology. 相似文献

This work deals with nonautonomous chaotic circuits and, in particular, with the experimental characterization of the synchronization properties of two simple nonautonomous circuits. Two single-transistor chaotic circuits, which are among the simplest chaotic oscillators, are investigated. The existing concept of the weak and strong synchronization in discrete maps is verified. The state vectors of interacting chaotic systems are shown to be related to each other by the functional relation only in the strong synchronization regime; in the weak regime, the prehistory must be taken into account. We report a method of engineering generalized synchronization (GS) in chaotic oscillators using an open-plus-closed-loop coupling strategy. The coupling is defined in terms of a transformation matrix that maps a chaotic driver onto a response oscillator where the elements of the matrix can be arbitrarily chosen, and thereby allows a precise control of the GS state. We elaborate the scheme with several examples of transformation matrices. The elements of the transformation matrix are chosen as constants, time varying function, state variables of the driver, and state variables of another chaotic oscillator. This paper deals with the global exponential synchronization of a class of delayed chaotic networks. Under some simple conditions, the global synchronization of a network about its all variables is derived by only considering the global synchronization of its partial variables. Furthermore, based on the Halanay inequality technique, some delay-independent criteria are obtained to ensure the adaptive exponential synchronization of the model. And the simpler, less conservative and more efficient results are easy to be verified in engineering applications. A novel multi-switching dual compound synchronization scheme is proposed for chaotic systems which has not been investigated so far. The goal is to design appropriate controllers by using Lyapunov stability theory and nonlinear control to establish the asymptotically stable synchronized state for six drive and two response systems. Multi-switching dual compound synchronization can be considered as an extension of multi-switching dual combination synchronization. An example is presented to elaborate the proposed scheme where Lorenz, Chen, Lu systems are considered as master systems and T system is considered as slave system. A rigorous mathematical treatment of chaotic phase synchronization is still lacking, although it has been observed in many numerical and experimental studies. In this article we address the extension of results on phase synchronization in periodic oscillators to systems with phase coherent chaotic attractors with small phase diffusion. As models of such systems we consider special flows over diffeomorphisms in which the neutral direction is periodically perturbed. A generalization of the Averaging Theorem for periodic systems is used to extend Kuramoto's geometric theory of phase locking in periodically forced limit cycle oscillators to this class of systems. This approach results in reduced equations describing the dynamics of the phase difference between drive and response systems over long time intervals. The reduced equations are used to illustrate how the structure of a chaotic attractor is important in its response to a periodic perturbation, and to conclude that chaotic phase coherent systems may not always be treated as noisy periodic oscillators in this context. Although this approach is strictly justified for periodic perturbations affecting only the phase variable of a chaotic oscillator, we argue that these ideas are applicable much more generally. 相似文献

We investigate chaotic phase synchronization (CPS) observed in a mutually coupled map system and a forced map oscillator by using return maps (RM) of phase difference. RM visualizes the presence or absence of the channel for phase slip which characterizes the onset of CPS. It is found that CPS occurs when the channel starts to be completely closed, and that the saddle node point is approximately equal to the point at which the channel is closed on the average. Furthermore, the proposed RM describes the critical characteristics of the phase difference and reveals the existence of the quasi-synchronized state below the synchronization point. 相似文献
