Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 3-methylglutarates were prepared as solids with general formula MC6 H8 O4 ×n H2 O, where n =0–8. Their solubilities in water at 293 K were determined (7.0×10−2 −4.2×10−3 mol dm−3 ). The IR spectra were recorded and thermal decomposition in air was investigated. The IR spectra suggest that the carboxylate groups are mono- or bidentate. During heating the hydrated complexes lose some water molecules in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu) or two steps (Cd) and then mono- (Cu) or dihydrates (Mn, Co, Ni) decompose to oxides directly (Mn, Cu, Co) or with intermediate formation of free metals (Co, Ni). Anhydrous Zn(II) complex decomposes directly to the oxide ZnO. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 4-methylphthalates were investigated and their composition, solubility in water at 295 K and magnetic moments were determined. IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared with molar ratio of metal to organic ligand of 1.0:1.0 and general formula: M [ CH3C6H3(CO2)2nH2o (n=1-3) were recorded and their decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes are dehydrated in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Zn, Cd) or two steps (Cu) and next the anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides directly (Cu, Zn), with intermediate formation of carbonates (Mn, Cd), oxocarbonates (Ni) or carbonate and free metal (Co). The carboxylate groups in the complexes studied are mono- and bidentate (Co, Ni), bidentate chelating and bridging (Zn) or bidentate chelating (Mn, Cu, Cd). The magnetic moments for paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.92, 5.05, 3.36 and 1.96 M.B., respectively. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Condensation of bis(2-furanthiocarboxyhydradatometal(II), M(fth)2; [M (II) = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn] with pyridine-2- and -4-carboxaldehydes gave complexes of the formula M(pfth)2 [pfth? = pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde-2-furanthiocarboxyhydrazonato], Ni(Ifth)2, Zn(Ifth)2, Cu(Ifth) and Co(Ifth)3, (Ifth? = pyridine-4-carboxaldehyde-2-furanthiocarboxyhydrazonato). The magnetic and electronic spectral studies coupled with photoacoustic or Mössbauer spectra suggested octahedral geometry for the M(II) complexes with low-spin states for Co(Ifth)3 and Fe(pfth)2. IR and 1H NMR spectral studies of diamagnetic complexes suggested bonding through “azomethine” nitrogen and “thiolo” sulphur. IR spectra also showed the involvement of pyridine ring nitrogen in coordination in all the complexes except Cu(Itfh), Co(Ifth)3, and Zn(Ifth)2. Some of the compounds possessed antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II)3,3-dimethylglutarates were investigated and their quantitative composition, solubility in water at 293 K and magnetic moments were determined. IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared with general formula MC7H10O4nH2O (n=0−2) were recorded and their thermal decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes of Mn(II),Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) are dehydrated in one step and next all the anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides directly (Mn, Co, Zn) or with intermediate formation free metal (Ni,Cu) or oxocarbonates (Cd). The carboxylate groups in the complexes studied are bidentate. The magnetic moments for the paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II)attain values 5.62, 5.25, 2.91 and 1.41 M.B., respectively. 2-Hydroxy salicylhydrazide isatin hydrazone (L) and its Mn (II), Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II), and Zn (II), metal complexes were synthesized. 1H NMR, UV–Vis, IR spectroscopy and elemental (CHN/S) analysis techniques were applied for characterization. TG/DTA techniques revealed that all the synthetic compounds are thermally stable up to 300 °C. They were found non-electrolytes in nature. Furthermore, all these complexes were evaluated for antiglycation and DPPH radical scavenging activities. They showed varying degree of activity with IC50 values between 168.23 and 269.0 μM in antiglycation and 29.63–57.71 μM in DPPH radical scavenging activity. Mn (II), Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II), and Zn (II), metal complexes showed good antiglycation as well as DPPH radical scavenging activity. The IC50 values for antiglycation activity are 168.23 ± 2.37, 234.27 ± 4.33, 257.1 ± 6.43, 267.7 ± 8.43, 269.0 ± 8.56 Ni for Co, Zn, Mn, Cu, and Ni complexes, respectively, while IC50 value were found to be 29.63 ± 2.76, 31.13 ± 1.41, 35.16 ± 2.45, 43.53 ± 3.12, 57.71 ± 2.61 μM for Cu, Zn, Mn, Co and Ni complexes, respectively, for DPPH radical scavenging activity. These synthesized metal complexes were found to be better active than standards Rutin (IC50 = 294.46 μM) for anti-glycation, and tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole (IC50 = 44.7 μM) for DPPH radical scavenging activity.  相似文献

The 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) orotates were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, spectral methods (UV-vis and FTIR) and thermal analysis techniques (TG, DTG and DTA). The Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions in diaquabis(1,10-phenanthroline)metal(II) diorotate octahedral complexes [M(H2O)2(phen)2](H2Or)2·nH2O (M=Co(II), n=2.25; Ni(II), n=3; Cu(II) and Cd(II), n=2) are coordinated by two aqua ligands and two moles of phen molecules as chelating ligands through their two nitrogen atoms. The monoanionic orotate behaves as a counter ion in the complexes. On the basis of the first DTGmax, the thermal stability of the hydrated complexes follows the order: Cd(II), 68°C 68°C  相似文献

The complex salts [(o-C2B9H11)2M3+]2M'2+·4bipy, where M = Fe, Co, or Ni, M' = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Mn (M M'), and bipy is 2,2'-bipyridyl, were synthesized. The salts with M = Ni decompose to give 3-(2,2'-bipyridyl)-3,1,2-nickelacarborane, when refluxed in alcohol, and to give 2-(2,2'-bipyridyl)-2,1,7-nickel acarborane, when refluxed in dodecane (216°C).  相似文献

Four new Hofmann-type clathrates of the form M(bpa)2Ni(CN) 2m-xylene (M = Mn , Fe , Co and Ni; bpa = 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane) have been synthesized and characterized by vibrational spectroscopy. The M(bpa)2Ni(CN)4 (M = Fe and Co) host structure is similar to the classical Hofmann-type host framework composed of layers of a two dimensional catena-metal tetra--cyanonickelate(II) network, but in M(bpa)2Ni(CN)4 (M = Mn and Ni), the Ni(CN)4 moiety behaves as a bidentate –[NC-Ni(CN)2-CN–]– unit in the host framework.  相似文献

The complexes of 4-chloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid anion with Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ were obtained as polycrystalline solids with general formula M(C8H6ClO3)2·nH2O and colours typical for M(II) ions (Mn – slightly pink, Co – pink, Ni – slightly green, Cu – turquoise and Zn – white). The results of elemental, thermal and spectral analyses suggest that compounds of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) are tetrahydrates whereas those of Co(II) and Ni(II) are pentahydrates. The carboxylate groups in these complexes are monodentate. The hydrates of 4-chloro-2-methoxybenzoates of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) heated in air to 1273 K are dehydrated in one step in the range of 323–411 K and form anhydrous salts which next in the range of 433–1212 K are decomposed to the following oxides: Mn3O4, CoO, NiO and ZnO. The final products of decomposition of Cu(II) complex are CuO and Cu. The solubility value in water at 293 K for all complexes is in the order of 10–3 mol dm–3. The plots of χM vs. temperature of 4-chloro-2-methoxybenzoates of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) follow the Curie–Weiss law. The magnetic moment values of Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Cu2+ ions in these complexes were determined in the range of 76−303 K and they change from: 5.88–6.04 μB for Mn(C8H6ClO3)2·4H2O, 3.96–4.75 μB for Co(C8H6ClO3)2·5H2O, 2.32–3.02 μB for Ni(C8H6ClO3)2·5H2O and 1.77–1.94 μB for Cu(C8H6ClO3)2·4H2O.  相似文献

Summary Adducts of 2-deoxyadenosine (dado) with chlorides of dipositive 3d metal ions (M=Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn) were prepared by boiling, under reflux, mixtures of ligand and the metal salt in HC(OEt)3·EtOH. The solid complexes isolated are either 21 or 11 adducts of dado and metal chloride,i.e.: M(dado)2Cl2 (M=Co or Cu), M(dado)2Cl2·2H2O (M=Mn or Zn), Fe(dado)Cl2 and Ni(dado)Cl2·2H2O. The 21 adducts are monomeric distorted tetrahedral (M=Co or Cu) or hexacoordinated (M=Mn or Zn). The 11 complexes are apparently single-bridged linear polymeric species, involving a [M-(dado)]x backbone (M=Fe or Ni), two terminal Cl- and for M=Ni, two aqua ligands. Terminal dado is most probably N(7)-bound, while bidentate bridging dado bindsvia N(1), N(7).Presented in part at the XXVIII ICCC, see ref. 1.  相似文献

New complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with new Schiff bases derived by the condensation of p-aminoacetophenoneoxime with 5-methoxysalicylaldehyde are synthesized. The compounds are characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, electronic spectral data, and molar conductivity. The thermal stabilities of the compounds are also reported. The Schiff base acts as bidentate O,N-donor atoms, and their metal complexes are supposed to possess a tetrahedral geometry with respect to the central metal ion. The general formula of the 5-methoxysalicyliden-p-aminoacetophenoneoxime Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes is Co(L)2, Ni(L)2, Cu(L)2, and Zn(L)2.  相似文献

The thermodynamic and geometric parameters of M(II) macrotetracyclic chelates (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn) with the (NNNN) coordination of the donor ligand sites, formed by the complexation reactions of corresponding M(II) compounds, ethanedithioamide H2N-C(=S)-C(=S)-NH2, and acetone H3C-C(=O)-CH3 in gelatin-immobilized matrix implants have been calculated by the OPBE/TZVP density functional theory method with the use of the Gaussian 09 program package. The bond lengths and bond and torsion angles in these complexes have been reported. It has been shown that despite the fact that the MN4 chelate core in them is almost planar, the five- and six-membered chelate rings are pronouncedly non-coplanar. In the Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes, these chelate rings are pairwise identical, whereas in the Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes, they are noticeably different.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 3-methoxy-4-methylbenzoates were investigated and their quantitative composition and magnetic moments were determined. The IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared of general formula M(C9H9O3)2·nH2O (n=2 for Mn, Co n=1 for Ni, Cu, n=0 for Zn, Cd) were prepared and their thermal decomposition in air was studied. Their solubility in water at 293 K is of the order 10–2 (Mn)–10–4 (Cu) mol dm–3. IR spectra of the prepared 3-methoxy-4-methylbenzoates suggest that carboxylate groups are bidentate bridging. The magnetic moments for the paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.50, 4.45, 3.16 and 1.79 B. M., respectively. During heating the hydrated complexes lose crystallization water molecules in one step and then the anhydrous complexes decompose directly to oxides MO and Mn3O4. Only Co(II) complex decomposes to Co3O4 with intermediate formation CoO.  相似文献

The potassium salt of salicylidene-DL-alanine (KHL), bis(benzylidene)ethylenediamine (A1), thiophene-o-carboxaldene-p-toluidine (A2), and its metal complexes of the formula [(MII(L)(A)(H2O)] (M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II); A = A1 or A2) are prepared. They are characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermogravimetric analysis, and infrared and electronic spectral studies. The electronic spectral and magnetic moment data suggest an octahedral geometry for the complexes. All of these complexes, metal nitrates, fungicides (bavistin and emcarb), and ligands are screened for their antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger, Fusarium oxysporum, and Aspergillus flavus using a plate poison technique. The complexes show higher activity than those of the free ligands, metal nitrate, and the control (DMSO) and moderate activity against bavistin and emcarb. New complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) with 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole (L) of the composition ML2(H2O)2(NO3)2 · nH2O (M = Co(II), n = 3; M = Ni(II), n = 0; M = Cu(II), n = 0) were synthesized and studied by photoelectron and IR spectroscopy, magnetochemistry, thermogravimetry, and X-ray powder diffraction analysis. The type of eff(T) relationship suggests that paramagnetic centers in the Co(II) chloride and Cu(II) nitrate and bromide complexes are involved in antiferromagnetic exchange interactions. The exchange energy values were estimated by the molecular field method.  相似文献

Comparative stability of three types of (565)macrotricyclic chelates of Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with chelate nodes MN2S2 and MN4 have been analyzed by means of hybrid density functional method B3LYP with the 6-31G(d) basis set using GAUSSIAN-09 software. These chelates may potentially be formed in template interaction between gelatin-immobilized hexacyanoferrate(II) of respective metal ions M(II), thiosemicarbazide H2N-HN-C(=S)-NH2, and formaldehyde H2C=O. It has been demonstrated that for all M(II) considered, the complex with chelate nodes MN2S2 is more stable. Key structural parameters of the complexes (bond lengths, bond and torsion angles) are presented. It is noted that pseudotetrahedral coordination of ligand donor centers around M(II) is typical for Mn(II), Co(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II), whereas for Fe(II) and Ni(II) it is almost planar. Values of standard enthalpy ΔH f,298 0 and standard Gibbs energy ΔG f,298 0 are positive for nearly all the complexes studied.  相似文献

Summary Diacetyldihydrazone (DADH) forms only six-coordinate complexes with iron(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II). In M(DADH)2X2 (M=Fe, X=Br or I; M=Co, X=I; M=Ni, X=Cl, Br or NCS) the ligand is chelating in the [M(DADH)3]2+ cations, while in M(DADH)2X2 (M=Co, X=Cl or Br; M=Ni, X=Cl or Br) the ligand is probably bridging and bidentate. Diacetylbismonomethylhydrazone (DAMH), by contrast, forms predominantly tetrahedral complexes M(DAMH)X2 (M=Fe or Co, X=Cl or Br; M=Ni, X=Br; M=Co, X=NCS; M=Zn, X=Cl, Br or NCS) and some octahedral complexes M(DAMH)2X2 (M=Co, X=NCS; M=Ni, X=Br). The i.r. spectra, electronic spectra and magnetic moments of the complexes are discussed.  相似文献

Complexation processes that occur between cadmium(II) hexacyanoferrate(II) (Cd2[Fe(CN)6]) and 3d-metal ions M(II) (M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn) in thin gelatin layers with the immobilized cadmium(II) hexacyanoferrates when brought in contact with aqueous solutions of d-metal chlorides are studied. Cd2+ ions were found to be replaced to some extent by M2+ ions of the indicated d metals (except for Mn(II)) and form binuclear (dd)-metal hexacyanoferrates(II). A complete replacement of Cd(II) and formation of M2[Fe(CN)6] was observed in none of the cases.  相似文献

A tridentate ONN donor ligand, 5-methyl-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)pyrazole; H2L, was synthesized by reaction of 2-(3-ketobutanoyl)phenol with hydrazine hydrate. The ligand was characterized by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectra. 1H NMR spectra indicated the presence of the phenolic OH group and the imine NH group of the heterocyclic moiety. Different types of mononuclear metal complexes of the following formulae [(HL)2M][sdot]xH2O (M=VO, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd), [(HL)2M(H2O)2] (M=Mn and UO2) and [(HL)LFe(H2O)2] were obtained. The Fe(III) complex, [(HL)LFe(H2O)2] undergoes solvatochromism. Elemental analyses, IR, electronic and ESR spectra as well as thermal, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements were used to elucidate the structures of the newly prepared metal complexes. A square-pyramidal geometry is suggested for the VO(IV) complex, square-planar for the Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes, octahedral for the Fe(III) and Mn(II) complexes and tetrahedral for the Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes, while the UO2(VI) complex is eight-coordinate. Transmetallation of the UO2(VI) ion in its mononuclear complex by Fe(III), Ni(II) or Cu(II) ions occurred and mononuclear Fe(III), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes were obtained. IR spectra of the products did not have the characteristic UO2 absorption band and the electronic spectra showed absorption bands similar to those obtained for the corresponding mononuclear complexes. Also, transmetallation of the Ni(II) ion in its mononuclear complex by Fe(III) has occurred. The antifungal activity of the ligand and the mononuclear complexes were investigated.  相似文献

Photometric determination of aqueous Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Fe(III) was performed using indicator films prepared by immobilization of 1-nitroso-2-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid disodium salt (NRS) into hardened photographic film. Immobilization was based on electrostatic interaction of reagent and metal complexes with the gelatin. The isoelectric point pH of hardened gelatin (4.46±0.04) was evaluated by viscometry. Co(II), Fe(III), Ni(II) form 1:3 complexes with NRS in gelatin at pH 2 and Cu(II) forms 1:2 complexes. Their log β′ values were: Co-6.7, Fe-8.6, Cu-8.0, and Ni-6.4. The absorption maxima were: 370nm for NRS, and 430nm, 470nm, 495nm and 720nm for complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III). An algorithm for their simultaneous determination using the indicator films was developed. The detection limits were: clim(Co2+) = 0.45×10−5 M, clim(Fe3+) = 0.50×10−5 M, clim(Cu2+) = 0.67×10−5 M, clim(Ni2+) = 0.75×10−5 M,; and their sum clim(ΣMn+) = 0.82×10−5 M.   相似文献
