A simple equation of state(EOS) in wide ranges of pressure and temperature is constructed within the MieGrneisen-Debye framework.Instead of the popular Birch-Murnaghan and Vinet EOS,we employ a five-parameter cold energy expression to represent the static EOS term, which can correctly produce cohesive energy without any spurious oscillations in the extreme compression and expansion regions. We developed a Pad’e approximation-based analytic Debye quasiharmonic model with high accuracy which improves the performance of EOS in the low temperature region. The anharmonic effect is taken into account by using a semi-empirical approach. Its reasonability is verified by the fact that the total thermal pressure tends to the lowest-order anharmonic expansion in the literature at low temperature, and tends to ideal-gas limitation at high temperature, which is physically correct.Besides, based on this approach, the anharmonic thermal pressure can be expressed in the Gru¨neisen form, which is convenient for applications. The proposed EOS is used to study the thermodynamic properties of MgO including static and shock compression conditions, and the results are very satisfactory as compared with the experimental data.  相似文献

Quasi-classical trajectory (QCT) calculations have been performed to study the product polarization behaviours in the reaction O(3P) + D2 (v= 0, j= 0)→OD + D. By running trajectories on the 3A′ and 3A″ potential energy surfaces (PESs), vector correlations such as the distributions of the polarization-dependent differential cross sections (PDDCSs), the angular distributions of P(θr) and P(ør) are presented. Isotope effect is discussed in this work by a comprehensive comparison with the reaction O(3P) + H2 (v= 0, j= 0) → H + H. Common characteristics as well as differences are discussed in product alignment and orientation for the two reactions. The isotope mass effect differs on the two potential energy surfaces: the isotope mass effect has stronger influence on P(θr) and PDDCSs of the 3A′ PES while the opposite on P(ør) of the 3A″ potential energy surface.  相似文献

Mechanism of oxidative decarboxylation of phenylsulfinylacetic acids (PSAAs) by iron(III) polypyridyl complexes in aqueous acetonitrile medium has been investigated spectrophotometrically. An initial intermediate formation between PSAA and [Fe(NN)3]3+ is confirmed from the observed Michaelis–Menten kinetics and fractional order dependence on PSAA. Significant rate retardation with concentration of [Fe(NN)3]3+ is rationalized on the basis of coordination of a water molecule at the carbon atom adjacent to the ring nitrogen of the metal polypyridyl complexes by nucleophilic attack at higher concentrations. Electron‐withdrawing and electron‐releasing substituents in PSAA facilitate the reaction and Hammett correlation gives an upward ‘V’ shaped curve. The apparent upward curvature is rationalized based on the change in the rate determining step from electron transfer to nucleophilic attack, by changing the substituents from electron‐releasing to electron‐withdrawing groups. Electron‐releasing substituents in PSAA accelerate the electron transfer from PSAA to the complex and also stabilize the intermediate through resonance interaction leading to negative reaction constants (ρ). Conversely, electron‐withdrawing groups, while retarding the electron transfer exert an accelerating effect on the nucleophilic attack of H2O which leading to low magnitude of ρ+ compared to high ρ? values of electron‐releasing groups. Marcus theory is applied, and a fair agreement is seen with the experimental values. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
