ABSTRACT

We study the inverse problem of identifying a variable parameter in variational and quasi-variational inequalities. We consider a quasi-variational inequality involving a multi-valued monotone map and give a new existence result. We then formulate the inverse problem as an optimization problem and prove its solvability. We also conduct a thorough study of the inverse problem of parameter identification in noncoercive variational inequalities which appear commonly in applied models. We study the inverse problem by posing optimization problems using the output least-squares and the modified output least-squares. Using regularization, penalization, and smoothing, we obtain a single-valued parameter-to-selection map and study its differentiability. We consider optimization problems using the output least-squares and the modified output least-squares for the regularized, penalized and smoothened variational inequality. We give existence results, convergence analysis, and optimality conditions. We provide applications and numerical examples to justify the proposed framework.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study a regularization method of solutions of ill-posed problems involving hemivariational inequalities in Banach spaces. Under the assumption that the hemivariational inequality is solvable, a strongly convergent approximation procedure is designed by means of the so-called Browder-Tikhonov regularization method. In this paper we consider vector quasi-variational inequality problems over product sets (in short, VQVIP). Moreover we study generalizations of this model, namely problems of a system of vector quasi-variational inequalities (in short, SVQVIP), generalized vector quasi-variational inequality problems over product sets (in short, GVQVIP) and problems of a system of generalized vector quasi-variational inequalities (in short, SGVQVIP). We show that every solution of (VQVIP) (respectively, (GVQVIP)) is a solution of (SVQVIP) (respectively, (SGVQVIP)). By defining relatively pseudomonotone and relatively maximal pseudomonotone maps and by employing a known fixed point theorem, we establish the existence of a solution of (VQVIP) and (SVQVIP). These existence results are then used to derive the existence of a solution of (GVQVIP) and (SGVQVIP), respectively, The results of this paper extend recent results in the literature. They are obtained in a more general setting.  相似文献

Numerical solution of ill-posed operator equations requires regularization techniques. The convergence of regularized solutions to the exact solution can be usually guaranteed, but to also obtain estimates for the speed of convergence one has to exploit some kind of smoothness of the exact solution. We consider four such smoothness concepts in a Hilbert space setting: source conditions, approximate source conditions, variational inequalities, and approximate variational inequalities. Besides some new auxiliary results on variational inequalities the equivalence of the last three concepts is shown. In addition, it turns out that the classical concept of source conditions and the modern concept of variational inequalities are connected via Fenchel duality.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study Tikhonov regularization methods for inverse variational inequalities. A rather weak coercivity condition is given which guarantees that the solution set of regularized inverse variational inequality is nonempty and bounded. Moreover, the perturbation analysis for the solution set of regularized inverse variational inequality is established. As an application, we show that solutions of regularized inverse variational inequalities form a minimizing sequence of the D-gap function under a mild condition.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the Moreau-Yosida regularization of monotone variational inequalities to the case of weakly monotone and pseudomonotone operators. With these properties, the regularized operator satisfies the pseudo-Dunn property with respect to any solution of the variational inequality problem. As a consequence, the regularized version of the auxiliary problem algorithm converges. In this case, when the operator involved in the variational inequality problem is Lipschitz continuous (a property stronger than weak monotonicity) and pseudomonotone, we prove the convergence of the progressive regularization introduced in Refs. 1, 2.  相似文献

We construct with the aid of regularizing filters a new class of improved regularization methods, called modified Tikhonov regularization (MTR), for solving ill-posed linear operator equations. Regularizing properties and asymptotic order of the regularized solutions are analyzed in the presence of noisy data and perturbation error in the operator. With some accurate estimates in the solution errors, optimal convergence order of the regularized solutions is obtained by a priori choice of the regularization parameter. Furthermore, numerical results are given for several ill-posed integral equations, which not only roughly coincide with the theoretical results but also show that MTR can be more accurate than ordinary Tikhonov regularization (OTR).  相似文献

引入了实Hilbert空间中一类新的一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式.它概括了丁协平教授引入与研究过的熟知的广义混合隐拟变分不等式类成特例.运用辅助变分原理技巧来解这类一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式.首先,定义了具真凸下半连续的二元泛函的新的辅助变分不等式,并选取了一适当的泛函,使得其唯一的最小值点等价于此辅助变分不等式的解.其次,利用此辅助变分不等式,构造了用于计算一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式逼近解的新的迭代算法.在此,等价性保证了算法能够生成一列逼近解.最后,证明了一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式解的存在性与逼近解的收敛性.而且,给算法提供了新的收敛判据.因此,结果对M.A.Noor提出的公开问题给出了一个肯定答案,并推广和改进了关于各种变分不等式与补问题的早期与最近的结果,包括最近文献中涉及单值与集值映象的有关混合变分不等式、混合拟变不等式与拟补问题的相应结果.  相似文献

The aim of the present paper is to study the solvability and regularization for a class of multivalued quasi-variational–hemivariational inequalities in reflexive Banach spaces. By applying the Kluge fixed point theorem and the Minty technique, we prove the solvability of the considered multivalued quasi-variational–hemivariational inequality, based on which some convergence results are obtained by introducing its regularization problem with the help of regularization operator. The applicability of the obtained abstract results is established by a mathematical model of a frictional contact problem with a class of elastic material, where the existence and stability results for the weak solution of contact problem are studied.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of evolution second order hemivariational inequalities with non-coercive operators which are assumed to be known approximately. Using the so-called Browder-Tikhonov regularization method, we prove that the regularized evolution hemivariational inequality problem is solvable. We construct a sequence based on the solvability of the regularized evolution hemivariational inequality problem and show that every weak cluster of this sequence is a solution for the evolution second order hemivariational inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce weighted variational inequalities over product of sets and system of weighted variational inequalities. It is noted that the weighted variational inequality problem over product of sets and the problem of system of weighted variational inequalities are equivalent. We give a relationship between system of weighted variational inequalities and systems of vector variational inequalities. We define several kinds of weighted monotonicities and establish several existence results for the solution of the above-mentioned problems under these weighted monotonicities. We introduce also the weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets, that is, weighted variational inequalities for multivalued maps and systems of weighted generalized variational inequalities. Extensions of weighted monotonicities for multivalued maps are also considered. The existence of a solution of weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets is also studied. The existence results for a solution of weighted generalized variational inequality problem give also the existence of solutions of systems of generalized vector variational inequalities. We examine two central regularization strategies for monotone variational inequalities, the first a direct regularization of the operative monotone mapping, and the second via regularization of the associated dual gap function. A key link in the relationship between the solution sets to these various regularized problems is the idea of exact regularization, which, in turn, is fundamentally associated with the existence of Lagrange multipliers for the regularized variational inequality. A regularization is said to be exact if a solution to the regularized problem is a solution to the unregularized problem for all parameters beyond a certain value. The Lagrange multipliers corresponding to a particular regularization of a variational inequality, on the other hand, are defined via the dual gap function. Our analysis suggests various conceptual, iteratively regularized numerical schemes, for which we provide error bounds, and hence stopping criteria, under the additional assumption that the solution set to the unregularized problem is what we call weakly sharp of order greater than one.  相似文献

LSQR, a Lanczos bidiagonalization based Krylov subspace iterative method, and its mathematically equivalent conjugate gradient for least squares problems (CGLS) applied to normal equations system, are commonly used for large-scale discrete ill-posed problems. It is well known that LSQR and CGLS have regularizing effects, where the number of iterations plays the role of the regularization parameter. However, it has long been unknown whether the regularizing effects are good enough to find best possible regularized solutions. Here a best possible regularized solution means that it is at least as accurate as the best regularized solution obtained by the truncated singular value decomposition (TSVD) method. We establish bounds for the distance between the k-dimensional Krylov subspace and the k-dimensional dominant right singular space. They show that the Krylov subspace captures the dominant right singular space better for severely and moderately ill-posed problems than for mildly ill-posed problems. Our general conclusions are that LSQR has better regularizing effects for the first two kinds of problems than for the third kind, and a hybrid LSQR with additional regularization is generally needed for mildly ill-posed problems. Exploiting the established bounds, we derive an estimate for the accuracy of the rank k approximation generated by Lanczos bidiagonalization. Numerical experiments illustrate that the regularizing effects of LSQR are good enough to compute best possible regularized solutions for severely and moderately ill-posed problems, stronger than our theory predicts, but they are not for mildly ill-posed problems and additional regularization is needed.  相似文献

Existence, uniqueness and convergence of approximants of positive weak solutions for semilinear second order elliptic inequalities are obtained. The nonlinearities involved in these inequalities satisfy suitable upper or lower bound conditions or monotonicity conditions. The lower bound conditions are allowed to contain the critical Sobolev exponents. The methodology is to establish variational inequality principles for demicontinuous pseudo-contractive maps in Hilbert spaces by considering convergence of approximants and apply them to the corresponding variational inequalities arising from the semilinear second order elliptic inequalities. Examples on the existence, uniqueness and convergence of approximants of positive weak solutions of the semilinear second order elliptic inequalities are given.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the implicit quasi-variational inequality without continuity assumptions of data mappings. Our approach here is completely different from the one based on KKM theorem in the literature. 数据缺损下矩阵低秩逼近问题出现在许多数据处理分析与应用领域. 由于极高的元素缺损率,数据缺损下的矩阵低秩逼近呈现很大的不适定性, 因而寻求有效的数值算法是一个具有挑战性的课题. 本文系统完整地综述了作者近期在这方面的一些研究进展, 给出了基本模型问题的不适定性理论分析, 提出了两种新颖的正则化方法: 元素约束正则化和引导正则化, 分别适用于中等程度的数据缺损和高度元素缺损的矩阵低秩逼近. 本文同时也介绍了相应快速有效的数值算法. 在一些实际的大规模数值例子中, 这些新的正则化算法均表现出比现有其他方法都好的数值特性.  相似文献

Summary In this paper we investigate iterated Tikhonov regularization for the solution of nonlinear ill-posed problems. In the case of linear ill-posed problems it is well-known that (under appropriate assumptions) then-th iterated regularized solutions can converge likeO(22 /(2n+1)), where denotes the noise level of the data perturbation. We give conditions that guarantee this convergence rate also for nonlinear ill-posed problems, and motivate these conditions by the mapping degree. The results are derived by a comparison of the iterated regularized solutions of the nonlinear problem with the iterated regularized solutions of its linearization.
