Elementary representations of the laguerre group

A class of representations of the Laguerre group in nuclear spaces is studied. The Laguerre group is the group of matrices of order two with determinant 1 over the ring of dual numbers. The question of irreducibility is considered, and a classification of bilinear invariant functionals, intertwining operators, and Hermitian invariant functionals is obtained.Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 23, No. 1, pp. 31–39, January, 1978.     

Elementary transformations of pfaffian representations of plane curves

Let C be a smooth curve in P² given by an equation F=0 of degree d. In this paper we consider elementary transformations of linear pfaffian representations of C. Elementary transformations can be interpreted as actions on a rank 2 vector bundle on C with canonical determinant and no sections, which corresponds to the cokernel of a pfaffian representation. Every two pfaffian representations of C can be bridged by a finite sequence of elementary transformations. Pfaffian representations and elementary transformations are constructed explicitly. For a smooth quartic, applications to Aronhold bundles and theta characteristics are given.

Superspecies and their representations

Superspecies are introduced to provide a construction of all finite-dimensional superalgebras. All acyclic superspecies are classified according to their graded representation types.     

Quasi-bimonads and their representations

In this paper quasi-bimonads on a monoidal category are introduced and investigated. Quasi-bimonads generalize quasi-bialgebras to a non-braided setting. We discuss their representations and investigate the R-matrix of a quasi-bimonad. Such an R-matrix provides a new solution of the version of the Yang-Baxter equation adapted to the situation. We also introduce an equivalent relation on (quasitriangular) quasi-bimonads such that the categories of representations of two (quasitriangular) quasi-bimonads are (braided) monoidal equivalent. Finally, we discuss Drinfeld twists and Hom quasi-bialgebras.     

Galois representations attached to representations of GU(3)

For a fixed prime we compute the -adic Lie algebra of the image of the -adic Galois representation attached to a stable cuspidal automorphic representation of the unitary similitude group GU(3). This result depends on whether admits extra twists in the sense defined below. Two cases emerge: orthogonal image and non-orthogonal image. We show that in the orthogonal case there exists a character such that is the Galois representation attached to the unitary adjoint lift of a cuspidal representation of GL(2).
