Ozone (O3) generation in a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactor driven by a pulsed power supply was investigated at atmospheric pressure and room temperature. An O3 generation efficiency model is established in which discharge power, O2 concentration, gas flow rate, and volume of the discharge space are included. Constants in the O3 generation efficiency model were obtained by fitting the model with experiment results. O3 concentration can be simply calculated from the energy density and initial O2 concentration. Comparison on O3 concentrations from calculation with references is given.  相似文献

大气压介质阻挡放电(DBD)可以在常压下产生非平衡等离子体,已经成为热点研究领域.通过脉冲或交变电源激发放电,研究电源输出特性、电源与放电发生器负载间的匹配和外界条件对放电的影响对于理解放电现象和提高放电效率具有重要意义.本文采用Lissajous图形法,分别研究了驱动电压、气流速率等因素影响同轴DBD发生器介质层等效电容及负载幅频特性的规律.结果表明,气流速率和驱动电压等外界条件影响DBD发生器的负载特性:介质层等效电容随气流速率增大而减小,随驱动电压增大而增大;幅频特性曲线均表现出RLC回路谐振现象,谐振频率随气流速率增大而增大,随驱动电压增大而减小.通过对比发现,介质层等效电容随频率的变化曲线与幅频特性曲线具有一致的特征,介质层等效电容是影响电路谐振频率动态变化的主要因素.提出了一种有关介质层等效电容的形成机制.  相似文献

在氩气/空气的混合气体介质阻挡放电中,首次在高温条件下观察到亮点和暗点共存的放电,比较了中心亮点及四周暗点放电的谱线频移,并测量了它们的振动温度。实验采用氩原子ArⅠ(2P2→1S5)的发射谱线测量谱线频移,采用氮分子第二正带系(C3Πu→B3Πg)的发射谱线测量振动温度。结果表明:中心亮点放电中的ArⅠ(2P2→1S5)谱线的频移大于四周的暗点放电谱线的频移,表明前者电子密度较高;四周的暗点的放电振动温度高于中心亮点放电的振动温度。  相似文献

We report on the first experimental observation of a concentric-ring pattern in a short planar dielectric barrier gas-discharge system and study its spatiotemporal behavior. While increasing the gas pressure the destabilization of the rings into a filamentary structure is observed. The charge carriers deposited on the dielectric electrodes determine the spatiotemporal behavior of the pattern.  相似文献

The use of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasmas has become a practical way to carry out surface treatment where precise control of the plasma parameters, such as rotational and vibrational temperatures (Trot and Tvib), is required. As the Tvib of an atmospheric pressure plasma jet appears to be the most important parameter related to the improvement of surface treatments, in this work, we analysed two methods to increase the values of Tvib in a DBD plasma jet device. One of the methods is to reduce the exit size (ø) of the DBD reactor, which results in an increase in the measured Tvib values, due to an increase in the pressure inside the reactor. The other method is to change the gas flow rate (GFR) used to produce the plasma jets. This leads to a Tvib reduction when the GFR is increased in the case of using helium or nitrogen as the working gas, but the opposite happens (an increase in the Tvib values) when argon is used, with different phenomena causing the variation of Tvib in each situation.  相似文献

利用光谱测量和高速照相的方法,对大气压氮气介质阻挡放电进行了研究.在气流的帮助下,2mm气隙中的均匀放电可以长时间得以维持.根据放电电流波形和1μs曝光时间的放电图像,这种均匀放电被判定为汤森放电.用氦氖激光器对实验中所用的光谱仪带来的谱线轮廓展宽进行了标定,并将得到的仪器展宽数据输入Specair软件,计算了不同气体温度下氮分子二正系0—2谱带的谱线轮廓.通过用计算谱线轮廓去拟合实验谱线轮廓,确定了氮分子的转动温度并将其近似为气体温度.结果表明:大气压氮气介质阻挡汤森放电并不能使气体温度大幅上升(ΔTg≤50K),气体温度的小幅上升不会引起热不稳定性而导致放电发展成为细丝放电.气流确实可以降低放电气体温度,但这不是使汤森放电得以维持的原因.通过比较加入气流前后的放电光谱可知,气流降低了气隙中杂质氧的含量,使得更多的氮分子亚稳态N2(A3Σu+)的寿命延长到下一次放电的起始时刻,为汤森放电提供了必需的大量种子电子.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we perform molecular dynamics simulations of a dielectric fluidic material composed of permanent molecular dipoles. The dielectric spectrum features two peaks at lower frequencies than the system phonon frequency. The primary peak is observed at all temperatures studied and shifts toward lower frequencies as the temperature decreases. During this shift, the secondary peak emerges with a higher peak frequency than the primary peak. The secondary peak amplitude increases as the temperature decreases. Both peaks are dependent on the wavevector; in the small wavevector regime, the primary peak is shifted to higher frequencies as the wavevector squared and the secondary peak amplitude increases as the wavevector increases, but shows no shift in frequency. From the polarisation balance equation, we propose a model for the dielectric spectrum. This captures the spectrum features, and we conjecture that the primary peak is due to dipole moment correlations (Debye-type) and the secondary peak is due to the correlation between the dipole moment and a microscopic local field.  相似文献

本工作利用双水电极介质阻挡放电装置,采用发射光谱方法,在大气压氩气介质阻挡放电中研究了由不同空间尺度 微放电通道构成的超四边形斑图的等离子体参量.实验发现直径较大的微放电通道(大点)和直径较小的微放电通道(小点)亮度不同.采用氮分子第二正带系谱线计算了分子振动温度,利用谱线强度比方法得到了电子激发温度,用氩原子696.54 nm谱线的Stark展宽估算了电子密度.结果显示小点的电子密度和分子振动温度均高于大点,而电子激发温度低于大点.这说明稳定超四边形斑图中不同尺度微放电的等离子体状态不同.  相似文献

We report a capillary dielectric barrier discharge (Cap-DBD) plasma operated in atmospheric pressure air. The plasma reactor consists of metal wire electrodes inside quartz capillary tubes powered with a low kilohertz frequency AC high voltage power supply. Various reactor geometries (planar, 3-D multilayer, and circular) with wall-to-wall separation ranging from zero up to 500 micron were investigated. For the electrical and spectral measurements, three reactors, each with six tubes, six inches in length, were assembled with gap widths of 500 micron, 225 micron, and 0 micron (i.e. tubes touching). The discharges appear homogenous across the whole device at separations below 225 micron and turned into filamentary discharges at larger gap spaces. The operating voltage was generally around 3–4 kV (rms). The power consumption by the Cap-DBD was calculated using voltage/charge Lissajous figures with observed powers of a few watts to a maximum of about 14 W for the reactor with no gap spacing. Further studies of optical emission spectroscopy (OES) were employed to evaluate the reactive species generated in the microplasma source. The observed emission spectrum was predominantly within the second positive system of N2\mbox{N}_2(C3\mbox{C}^3 Pu\Pi_u–B3\mbox{B}^3 Pg\Pi_g) and the first negative system of N+2\mbox{N}^+_2(B2\mbox{B}^2 S+u\Sigma^+_u–X2\mbox{X}^2 S+g\Sigma^+_g).  相似文献

A simple semiempirical model of the electron beam generated by a pulsed cold cathode electron gun has been developed. The model describes analytically the observed self-focusing of the discharge and predicts the dynamical variation of the focal distance, in good agreement with experiments. This effect plays a major role in the determination of the effective duration of the energy pulse. The model was used to conduct simple calculations of energy thresholds for melting of solid materials, giving helpful insight on ranges of operation of this kind of electron gun for its application to material processing. A new wire-plate-type discharge system, with a slit dielectric barrier, has been proposed and investigated by focusing on the generation of ozone and the discharges on the slit barrier. This wire-plate-type discharge system, with a slit barrier, can generate a corona discharge twice, once from the corona wire electrode and again from the surface and the slits of the slit barrier. As a result, this proposed wire-plate-type discharge system, with the slit barrier, can produce much more ozone than without the slit barrier. The discharge mechanism of the wire-plate-type discharge system, with the slit barrier, would be hard to arc discharge and to break the system down directly because of the blocking action of the slit dielectric barrier. This proposed wire-plate-type discharge system, with the slit barrier, may be useful as an effective means for removing pollutant gases.  相似文献

对带有多电流峰的常压He气均匀介质阻挡放电与常压N2气均匀介质阻挡放电的伏安特性进行了实验分析. 分析结果表明:实验结果与模拟结果相符. 在带有多电流峰的常压He均匀介质阻挡放电中,辉光放电模式和汤森放电模式可以共存于一个多电流放电序列内. 此外,在放电电流增长阶段,可以根据常压均匀介质阻挡放电的伏安特性曲线的微分电导来判断均匀介质阻挡放电的放电模式. 在放电电流增长阶段,如果电流脉冲的伏安特性曲线呈现负微分电导,则电流脉冲为辉光放电模式;如果呈现正微分电导,则为汤森放电模式. 由此可以判断,常压N2气均匀介质阻挡放电为汤森放电模式. 关键词: 伏安特性 辉光放电模式 汤森放电模式 常压均匀介质阻挡放电  相似文献

New ultraviolet (UV) sources (excimer lamps) have been demonstrated using mixtures of krypton and iodine in a high-pressure dielectric barrier discharge to provide intense multi-wavelength radiation at λ=183 nm (atomic iodine line, 4 P 5/2?2 P 3/2), 191 nm (KrI*, B 1/2?X 1/2), 206 nm (atomic iodine line, 2 P 3/2?2 P 1/2), and 342 nm (I* 2, D 1/2?X 1/2). The characteristics of the optical emission spectra of the atomic species and the excited dimers (excimers) formed for different total gas pressures and in the presence of a buffer gas have been investigated. The highest intensity, at 183 nm, is obtained at pressures up to 1 bar while the overall emission spectra can be controlled by adjusting the total pressure. The results show that these strong multi-wavelength lamps offer an interesting alternative to conventional UV sources. In the experimental part we report on a typical bifurcation scenario of the current distribution in the discharge plane of a planar dielectric barrier discharge system. Increasing the amplitude of the sinusoidal driving voltage after breakdown a large number of dynamic solitary filaments is observed and the subsequent decrease of results in a pronounced hysteresis with decreasing number of filaments. In this way isolated single stationary filaments can be generated. In the theoretical part the latter are modeled by a reaction-drift-diffusion equation that is solved in three dimensional space numerically without any fitting procedure. As a result we obtain well defined stationary filaments of which size an shape essentially are independent of the initial conditions and having a width and an amplitude that agree with experiment rather well. On the basis of the numerical results we consider mechanisms of filament stabilisation. This includes the discussion of the well known surface charges as well as an additional focusing effect of volume charges.  相似文献

Electric parameters of a barrier discharge cell with flat tips are studied experimentally and numerically for Xe/NF3 (50 : 1) and Xe/SF6 (50 : 1) gas mixtures. The discharge process is simulated using a three-parameter model. The dependences of the computational model parameters on the pressure of the Xe/SF6 (50 : 1) gas mixture and on the electrode spacing are presented. Comparison of experimental and theoretical results shows that the error of simulation of the main discharge parameters (current, voltage drop, and transferred charge) does not exceed 10%.  相似文献
