A comment on the papers: Controllability results for functional semilinear differential inclusions in Fréchet spaces [Nonlinear Anal. 61 (3) (2005) 405–423] and Controllability of impulsive neutral functional differential inclusions with infinite delay [Nonlinear Anal. 60 (8) (2005) 1533–1552]

In this note we make some observations relating two papers recently published in Nonlinear Analysis Theory, Methods & Applications.     

Minimization of integral functionals depending on lipschitz domains

In this paper is solved a minimization problem for what is essentially an integral functional depending on domains which verify an uniform cone property with a fixed parameter θ by extending the techniques land results of O. Caligaris and P. Oliva ‘1’ for convex sets. A Dirichlet condition and an obstacle are considered.     

Solutions of stochastic partial differential equations as extremals of convex functionals

Summary Stochastic evolution equations with monotone operators in Banach spaces are considered. The solutions are characterized as minimizers of certain convex functionals. The method of monotonicity is interpreted as a method of constructing minimizers to these functionals, and in this way solutions are constructed via Euler-Galerkin approximations.     

Existence of solutions for impulsive partial neutral functional differential equations

This paper is concerned with partial neutral functional differential equations of first and second order with impulses. We establish some results of existence of mild solutions for these classes of equations.

本文研究了一类一阶脉冲中立型偏泛函微分方程mild解的存在性和唯一性,改进并推广了文[11]的结果。     

Stabilization of linear distributed control systems with unbounded delay

In this paper we study the asymptotic stabilization of linear distributed parameter control systems with unbounded delay. Assuming that the semigroup of operators associated with the uncontrolled and nondelayed equation is compact and that the phase space is a uniform fading memory space, we characterize those systems that can be stabilized using a feedback control. As consequence we conclude that every system of this type is stabilizable with an appropriated finite dimensional control.     

Almost Periodic Solutions of Abstract Retarded Functional Differential Equations with Unbounded Delay

We establish the existence of bounded, almost periodic and asymptotically almost periodic mild solutions for first- and second-order abstract-retarded functional differential equations with unbounded delay.     

Nonlinear fractional differential equations of Sobolev type

Sobolev type nonlinear equations with time fractional derivatives are considered. Using the test function method, limiting exponents for nonexistence of solutions are found. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Existence of fixed points for the sum of two operators

The purpose of this paper is to study the existence of fixed points for the sum of two nonlinear operators in the framework of real Banach spaces. Later on, we give some examples of applications of this type of results (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)     

Mild solutions of non-autonomous second order problems with nonlocal initial conditions

In this paper we establish the existence of mild solutions for a non-autonomous abstract semi-linear second order differential equation submitted to nonlocal initial conditions. Our approach relies on the existence of an evolution operator for the corresponding linear equation and the properties of the Hausdorff measure of non-compactness.

Ergodicity for Nonlinear Stochastic Equations in Variational Formulation

This paper is concerned with nonlinear partial differential equations of the calculus of variation (see [13]) perturbed by noise. Well-posedness of the problem was proved by Pardoux in the seventies (see [14]), using monotonicity methods. The aim of the present work is to investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the corresponding transition semigroup P_t. We show existence and, under suitable assumptions, uniqueness of an ergodic invariant measure ν. Moreover, we solve the Kolmogorov equation and prove the so-called "identite du carre du champs". This will be used to study the Sobolev space W^1,2(H,ν) and to obtain information on the domain of the infinitesimal generator of P_t.

Differentiability of Backward Stochastic Differential Equations in Hilbert Spaces with Monotone Generators

The aim of the present paper is to study the regularity properties of the solution of a backward stochastic differential equation with a monotone generator in infinite dimension. We show some applications to the nonlinear Kolmogorov equation and to stochastic optimal control.     

Increasing Monotone Operators in Banach Space

An operator mapping a separable reflexive Banach space X into the dual space X is called increasing if as . Necessary and sufficient conditions for the superposition operators to be increasing are obtained. The relationship between the increasing and coercive properties of monotone partial differential operators is studied. Additional conditions are imposed that imply the existence of a solution for the equation with an increasing operator A.     

Some examples of orthogonal matrix polynomials satisfying odd order differential equations

It is well known that if a finite order linear differential operator with polynomial coefficients has as eigenfunctions a sequence of orthogonal polynomials with respect to a positive measure (with support in the real line), then its order has to be even. This property no longer holds in the case of orthogonal matrix polynomials. The aim of this paper is to present examples of weight matrices such that the corresponding sequences of matrix orthogonal polynomials are eigenfunctions of certain linear differential operators of odd order.
