本文考虑了二阶半线性椭圆问题的Petrov-Galerkin逼近格式,用双二次多项式空间作为形函数空间,用双线性多项式空间作为试探函数空间,证明了此逼近格式与标准的二次有限元逼近格式有同样的收敛阶.并且根据插值算子的逼近性质,进一步证明了半线性有限元解的亏量迭代序列收敛到Petrov-Galerkin解.  相似文献

We present an analytical approximation for the diffusive flux of a substrate into a reactive layer, in which the substrate is degraded according to Monod kinetics. This problem is described by a nonlinear two-point boundary value problem. The approximation is derived based on a Homotopy Analysis Method idea and verified computationally, by comparison against a numerical solution of the problem. The analytical approximation is easy to evaluate and depends only on model parameters.  相似文献

This work presents an extension of the fluid approximation to the diffusion approximation for a PEPA model. The diffusion approximation leads to a reaction–diffusion system in which the spatial or location information is considered, while it is ignored in the fluid approximation approach. The fundamental results for the solution of the reaction–diffusion equations, such as the existence, uniqueness, positivity and convergence, have been established. Numerical simulations are also given to illustrate the analytical results.  相似文献

研究了属性权重完全未知的区间直觉梯形模糊数的多属性决策问题,结合TOPSIS方法定义了相对贴近度及总贴近度公式.首先由区间直觉梯形模糊数的Hamming距离给出了每个方案的属性与正负理想解的距离,基于此,给出了相对贴近度矩阵,根据所有决策方案的综合贴近度最小化建立多目标规划模型,从而确定属性的权重值,然后根据区间直觉梯形模糊数的加权算数平均算子求出各决策方案的总贴近度,根据总贴近度的大小对方案进行排序;最后,通过实例分析说明该方法的可行性和有效性.  相似文献

A method is presented to update a special finite element (FE) analytical model, based on matrix approximation theory with spectral constraint. At first, the model updating problem is treated as a matrix approximation problem dependent on the spectrum data from vibration test and modal parameter identification. The optimal approximation is the first modified solution of FE model. An algorithm is given to preserve the sparsity of the model by multiple correction. The convergence of the algorithm is investigated and perturbation of the modified solution is analyzed. Finally, a numerical example is provided to confirm the convergence of the algorithm and perturbation theory.  相似文献

We consider a conservative and entropie discrete-velocity model for the Bathnagar-Gross-Krook (BGK) equation. In this model, the approximation of the Maxwellian is based on a discrete entropy minimization principle. First, we prove a consistency result for this approximation. Then, we demonstrate that the discrete-velocity model possesses a unique solution. Finally, the model is written in a continuous equation form, and we prove the convergence of its solution toward a solution of the BGK equation.  相似文献

We develop the theory of information-based complexity from a parallel point of view. For a model of computation with p processors, each being capable of arithmetic operations and decisions, we analyze the complexity of function approximation, numerical integration, and solution of Fredholm integral equations. We obtain tight bounds on the complexity, considered as a function of three variables simultaneously: the number of processors, the required precision, and (in the case of approximation and integral equations) the number of points, in which the approximate solution is to be determined.  相似文献

Dissolution of stoichiometric multi-component particles in ternary alloys is an important process occurring during the heat treatment of as-cast aluminium alloys prior to hot extrusion. A mathematical model is proposed to describe such a process. In this model an equation is given to determine the position of the particle interface in time, using two diffusion equations which are coupled by nonlinear boundary conditions at the interface. Some results concerning existence, uniqueness, and monotonicity are given. Furthermore, for an unbounded domain an analytical approximation is derived. The main part of this work is the development of a numerical solution method. Finite differences are used on a grid which changes in time. The discretization of the boundary conditions is important to obtain an accurate solution. The resulting nonlinear algebraic system is solved by the Newton-Raphson method. Numerical experiments illustrate the accuracy of the numerical method. The numerical solution is compared with the analytical approximation.  相似文献

In this paper, the author applies the mechanical model of Murrayand Oster (1984) for epithelial morphogenesis to the behaviourof an epithelial sheet after a section of the sheet has beenremoved. In a radially symmetric geometry, approximate solutionof the resulting equation is an interesting problem in perturbationtheory. A leading-order approximation using three matched rescalingsis obtained, and it is shown that these are the only rescalingsthat will match to leading order. This approximation is thenimproved by deriving the leadingorder correction, which requiresthe introduction of logarithmic terms to complete the matchingprocess. The resulting uniformly valid composite expansion isa good approximation to the solution of the model equationsfor biologically relevant parameter values.  相似文献

We study many-server queues with abandonment in which customers have general service and patience time distributions. The dynamics of the system are modeled using measure-valued processes, to keep track of the residual service and patience times of each customer. Deterministic fluid models are established to provide a first-order approximation for this model. The fluid model solution, which is proved to uniquely exist, serves as the fluid limit of the many-server queue, as the number of servers becomes large. Based on the fluid model solution, first-order approximations for various performance quantities are proposed.  相似文献

We study the multi-stage portfolio selection problem where the utility function of an investor is ambiguous. The ambiguity is characterized by dynamic stochastic dominance constraints, which are able to capture the dynamics of the random return sequence during the investment process. We propose a multi-stage dynamic stochastic dominance constrained portfolio selection model, and use a mixed normal distribution with time-varying weights and the K-means clustering technique to generate a scenario tree for the transformation of the proposed model. Based on the scenario tree representation, we derive two linear programming approximation problems, using the sampling approach or the duality theory, which provide an upper bound approximation and a lower bound approximation for the original nonconvex problem. The upper bound is asymptotically tight with infinitely many samples. Numerical results illustrate the practicality and efficiency of the proposed new model and solution techniques.

The method of successive approximations for solving the problem of the decay of a small amplitude discontinuity is proposed for hyperbolic systems of conservation laws. In the linear approximation, a Cauchy problem for a linear hyperbolic system is obtained. Its solution represents lines of discontinuity separating the regions in which the solution is constant. Most attention is paid to the first and second approximations, within the limits of which the discontinuities obtained in the first approximation decay into stable shock waves and rarefaction waves. An analysis of the qualitatively different flow conditions that arise when solving the problem of the failure of a dam for a two-layer shallow water model with a free boundary is presented as an example.  相似文献

This thesis presents a multicommodity flow problem on a telephone network, consisting in allocating telephone lines from one switching center to another to physical routes represented by edges. The criterion is the minimum of the total investment cost, in which the cost of each edge is a step function. Representing each group of lines between two vertices as a flow gives a very large model; decomposing these flows along paths permits the use of generalized programming; defining the total cost from the lines themselves exhibits a solution method by approximation. Three heuristic methods are presented. Solving by successive approximations to the actual costs of the lines gives a good solution. Rerouting lines from one path to another presents several pathologies which can be corrected, and shows the possibility of improving the solution yielded by the approximation method.  相似文献

In this article, the problem of reconstructing an unknown memory kernel from an integral overdetermination in an abstract linear (of convolution type) evolution equation of parabolic type is considered. After illustrating some results of the existence and uniqueness of a solution for the differential problem, we study its approximation by Rothe's method. We prove a result of stability and another concerning the order of approximation of the solution in dependence of its regularity. The main tool is a maximal regularity result for solutions to abstract parabolic finite difference schemes. Two model problems to which the results are applicable are illustrated.  相似文献
