In this paper, we establish several new Hilbert-type inequalities with a homogeneous kernel, involving arithmetic, geometric, and harmonic mean operators in both integral and discrete case. Such inequalities are derived by virtue of some recent results regarding general Hilbert-type inequalities and some well-known classical inequalities. We also prove that the constant factors appearing in established inequalities are the best possible. As an application, we consider some particular settings and compare our results with previously known from the literature.  相似文献

In a recent paper we proved pointwise estimates relating some classical maximal and singular integral operators. Here we show that inequalities essentially of the same type hold for the Littlewood-Paley operators.

In this article we prove the equivalence of certain inequalities for Riesz means of eigenvalues of the Dirichlet Laplacian with a classical inequality of Kac. Connections are made via integral transforms including those of Laplace, Legendre, Weyl, and Mellin, and the Riemann–Liouville fractional transform. We also prove new universal eigenvalue inequalities and monotonicity principles for Dirichlet Laplacians as well as certain Schrödinger operators. At the heart of these inequalities are calculations of commutators of operators, sum rules, and monotonic properties of Riesz means. In the course of developing these inequalities we prove new bounds for the partition function and the spectral zeta function (cf. Corollaries 3.5–3.7) and conjecture about additional bounds.  相似文献

In this work, we introduce a new measure for the dispersion of the spectral scale of a Hermitian (self-adjoint) operator acting on a separable infinite-dimensional Hilbert space that we call spectral spread. Then, we obtain some submajorization inequalities involving the spectral spread of self-adjoint operators, that are related to Tao's inequalities for anti-diagonal blocks of positive operators, Kittaneh's commutator inequalities for positive operators and also related to the arithmetic–geometric mean inequality. In turn, these submajorization relations imply inequalities for unitarily invariant norms (in the compact case).  相似文献

In this paper, we prove some singular value inequalities for sum and product of operators. Also, we obtain several generalizations of recent inequalities. In this paper, we introduce a generalized vector variational inequality problem (GVVIP) which extends and unifies vector variational inequalities as well as classical variational inequalities in the literature. The concepts of generalized C-pseudomonotone and generalized hemicontinuous operators are introduced. Some existence results for GVVIP are obtained with the assumptions of generalized C-pseudomonotonicity and generalized hemicontinuity. These results appear to be new and interesting. New existence results of the classical variational inequality are also obtained.  相似文献

We establish distributional estimates for noncommutative martingales, in the sense of decreasing rearrangements of the spectra of unbounded operators, which generalises the study of distributions of random variables. Our results include distributional versions of the noncommutative Stein, dual Doob, martingale transform and Burkholder-Gundy inequalities. Our proof relies upon new and powerful extrapolation theorems. As an application, we obtain some new martingale inequalities in symmetric quasi-Banach operator spaces and some interesting endpoint estimates. Our main approach demonstrates a method to build the noncommutative and classical probabilistic inequalities in an entirely operator theoretic way.  相似文献

In this paper the operator-valued martingale transform inequalities in rearrangement invariant function spaces are proved. Some well-known results are generalized and unified. Applications are given to classical operators such as the maximal operator and the p-variation operator of vector-valued martingales, then we can very easily obtain some new vector-valued martingale inequalities in rearrangement invariant function spaces. These inequalities are closely related to both the geometrical properties of the underlying Banach spaces and the Boyd indices of the rearrangement invariant function spaces. Finally we give an equivalent characterization of UMD Banach lattices, and also prove the Fefferman-Stein theorem in the rearrangement invariant function spaces setting.  相似文献

We consider a class of variational inequalities defining the so-called hysteresis play operator. We propose a new approach to discontinuous BV-solutions based on measure theoretical arguments, which enable us to infer the existence of solutions as a simple consequence of the classical theory. In this way, we generalize a recent result where only continuous BV-solutions were studied. We also provide a representation formula which allows to deduce the continuity of the play operator from general theorems on hysteresis operators.  相似文献

The weak type (1,1) boundedness of singular integrals acting on matrix-valued functions has remained open since the 1980s, mainly because the methods provided by the vector-valued theory are not strong enough. In fact, we can also consider the action of generalized Calderón-Zygmund operators on functions taking values in any other von Neumann algebra. Our main tools for its solution are two. First, the lack of some classical inequalities in the noncommutative setting forces to have a deeper knowledge of how fast a singular integral decreases—L2 sense—outside of the support of the function on which it acts. This gives rise to a pseudo-localization principle which is of independent interest, even in the classical theory. Second, we construct a noncommutative form of Calderón-Zygmund decomposition by means of the recent theory of noncommutative martingales. This is a corner stone in the theory. As application, we obtain the sharp asymptotic behavior of the constants for the strong Lp inequalities, also unknown up to now. Our methods settle some basics for a systematic study of a noncommutative Calderón-Zygmund theory.  相似文献

We obtain new embedding theorems for Lorentz spaces of vector-valued martingales, thus generalizing the classical martingale inequalities. In contrast to earlier methods, we use martingale transformations defined by sequences of operators and identify the operator S (p)(f) for a martingale f ranging in a Banach space X with the maximal operator for some ℓ p (X)-valued martingale transform. The obtained inequalities are closely related to geometric properties of the Banach space in question.  相似文献

Abstract

In a recent work of the second named author on the Almost Sure Central Limit Theorem (ASCLT), we showed the usefulness of the concept of quasi-orthogonal system of random variables introduced by Bellman and later developed by Kac, Salem and Zygmund. In this paper, we propose an optimal formulation of the ASCLT again by using this idea and new correlation inequalities for sums of independent random variables. We also introduce and develop the notion of “intersective ASCLT” by proving some new results generalizing and improving substancially the classical formulation of the ASCLT. Essential tools for this approach are correlation inequalities recently developed by the first named author and some extensions of these ones obtained in the present paper.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The aim of this article is to provide a new approach for the classical Fefferman–Phong inequality and some other related inequalities concerning pseudodifferential operators. The idea is to conjugate these estimates with respect to the FBI transform and obtain equivalent formulations which require only a few derivatives of the symbol. Modulo some integration by parts, these are reduced to certain decomposition results for C 1, 1, respectively C 3, 1 functions. As a byproduct of this method, we get to extend the inequalities to (possibly sharp) classes of symbols with limited smoothness.  相似文献

In several recent papers we obtained existence theorems for complementarity problems and variational inequalities using for each of them a particular notion of exceptional family of elements. Now, in this paper we introduce a new notion of exceptional family of elements. This notion is based on an Implicit Leray-Schauder Alternative. By this new notion we obtain a unification of the study of solvability of complementarity problems and of variational inequalities. The paper is finished with a section dedicated to variational inequalities with δ-pseudomonotone operators.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a generalized vector variational-like inequality problem (for short, GVVLIP), which includes generalized vector variational inequalities, vector variational inequalities and classical variational inequalities as special cases. The concepts of generalized C-pseudomonotone-like and generalized H-hemicontinuous-like operators are introduced. Some existence results for GVVLIP are obtained under the assumptions of generalized C-pseudomonotone-like property and generalized H-hemicontinuous-like property. These results appear to be new and interesting. New existence results of the classical variational inequality are also obtained. In this paper, we introduce and study a new system of generalized mixed quasi-variational inclusions with (H,η)-monotone operators which contains variational inequalities, variational inclusions, systems of variational inequalities and systems of variational inclusions in the literature as special cases. By using the resolvent technique for the (H,η)-monotone operators, we prove the existence of solutions and the convergence of some new p-step iterative algorithms for this system of generalized mixed quasi-variational inclusions and its special cases. The classical Young’s inequality and its refinements are applied to positive operators on a Hilbert space at first. Based on the classical Poisson integral formula of relevant operators, some new inequalities on unitarily invariant norm of A1-p XB1-q - A1-q Y B1-p are obtained with effective calculation, where A, B, X, Y ∈ B(H) with A, B 0 and 1 p, q ∞ with the conjugate exponent q = p/(p - 1).  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and consider a new system of general variational inequalities involving four different operators. Using the projection operator technique, we suggest and analyze some new explicit iterative methods for this system of variational inequalities. We also study the convergence analysis of the new iterative method under certain mild conditions. Since this new system includes the system of variational inequalities involving three operators, variational inequalities and related optimization problems as special cases, results obtained in this paper continue to hold for these problems. Our results can be viewed as a refinement and improvement of the previously known results for variational inequalities.  相似文献
