The geometry of the tangent bundle is used to define a particular class of metrics called adapted bi-conformal. These metrics are defined and studied on the holomorphic cotangent bundle of a Kähler manifold. Kählerian adapted bi-conformal metrics are totally classified and their curvature expressed. The Eguchi-Hanson metric appears as a particular example.  相似文献

We call a metric quasi-Einstein if the m-Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor is a constant multiple of the metric tensor. This is a generalization of Einstein metrics, it contains gradient Ricci solitons and is also closely related to the construction of the warped product Einstein metrics. We study properties of quasi-Einstein metrics and prove several rigidity results. We also give a splitting theorem for some Kähler quasi-Einstein metrics.  相似文献

For a strictly pseudoconvex domain in a complex manifold we define a renormalized volume with respect to the approximately Einstein complete Kähler metric of Fefferman. We compute the conformal anomaly in complex dimension two and apply the result to derive a renormalized Chern-Gauss-Bonnet formula. Relations between renormalized volume and CR Q-curvature are also investigated.  相似文献

In this paper conformal minimal 2-spheres immersed in a complex projective space are studied by applying Lie theory and moving frames. We give differential equations of Kähler angle and square length of the second fundamental form. By applying these differential equations we give characteristics of conformal minimal 2-spheres of constant Kähler angle and obtain pinching theorems for curvature. We also discuss conformal minimal 2-spheres of constant normal curvature and prove that there does not exist any linearly full minimal 2-sphere immersed in a complex projective space CPn (n>2) with non-positive constant normal curvature. We also prove that a linearly full minimal 2-sphere immersed in a complex projective space CPn (n>2) with constant normal curvature and constant Kähler angle is of constant curvature.  相似文献

We study the local structures of nearly Kähler manifolds with vanishing Bochner curvature tensor as defined by Tricerri and Vanhecke (TV). We show that there does not exist a TV Bochner flat strict nearly Kähler manifold in 2n(?10) dimension and determine the local structures of the manifolds in 6 and 8 dimensions.  相似文献

Two Kähler metrics on a complex manifold are called c-projectively equivalent if their J  -planar curves coincide. Such curves are defined by the property that the acceleration is complex proportional to the velocity. The degree of mobility of a Kähler metric is the dimension of the space of metrics that are c-projectively equivalent to it. We give the list of all possible values of the degree of mobility of a simply connected Kähler manifold by reducing the problem to the study of parallel Hermitian (0,2)(0,2)-tensors on the conification of the manifold. We also describe all such values for a Kähler–Einstein metric. We apply these results to describe all possible dimensions of the space of essential c-projective vector fields of Kähler and Kähler–Einstein metrics. We also show that two c-projectively equivalent Kähler–Einstein metrics (of arbitrary signature) on a closed manifold have constant holomorphic curvature or are affinely equivalent.  相似文献

In this paper we give a different proof of Engliš's result [J. Reine Angew. Math. 528 (2000) 1-39] about the asymptotic expansion of a Laplace integral on a real analytic Kähler manifold (M,g) by using the link between the metric g and the associated Calabi's diastasis function D. We also make explicit the connection between the coefficients of Engliš' expansion and Gray's invariants [Michigan Math. J. (1973) 329-344].  相似文献

Let M=P(E) be the complex manifold underlying the total space of the projectivization of a holomorphic vector bundle EΣ over a compact complex curve Σ of genus ?2. Building on ideas of Fujiki (1992) [27], we prove that M admits a Kähler metric of constant scalar curvature if and only if E is polystable. We also address the more general existence problem of extremal Kähler metrics on such bundles and prove that the splitting of E as a direct sum of stable subbundles is necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of extremal Kähler metrics in Kähler classes sufficiently far from the boundary of the Kähler cone. The methods used to prove the above results apply to a wider class of manifolds, called rigid toric bundles over a semisimple base, which are fibrations associated to a principal torus bundle over a product of constant scalar curvature Kähler manifolds with fibres isomorphic to a given toric Kähler variety. We discuss various ramifications of our approach to this class of manifolds.  相似文献

We propose the study of certain discretizations of geometric evolution equations as an approach to the study of the existence problem of some elliptic partial differential equations of a geometric nature as well as a means to obtain interesting dynamics on certain infinite-dimensional spaces. We illustrate the fruitfulness of this approach in the context of the Ricci flow, as well as another flow, in Kähler geometry. We introduce and study dynamical systems related to the Ricci operator on the space of Kähler metrics that arise as discretizations of these flows. We pose some problems regarding their dynamics. We point out a number of applications to well-studied objects in Kähler and conformal geometry such as constant scalar curvature metrics, Kähler-Ricci solitons, Nadel-type multiplier ideal sheaves, balanced metrics, the Moser-Trudinger-Onofri inequality, energy functionals and the geometry and structure of the space of Kähler metrics. E.g., we obtain a new sharp inequality strengthening the classical Moser-Trudinger-Onofri inequality on the two-sphere.  相似文献

We develop a variational calculus for a certain free energy functional on the space of all probability measures on a Kähler manifold X. This functional can be seen as a generalization of Mabuchi?s K-energy functional and its twisted versions to more singular situations. Applications to Monge–Ampère equations of mean field type, twisted Kähler–Einstein metrics and Moser–Trudinger type inequalities on Kähler manifolds are given. Tian?s α-invariant is generalized to singular measures, allowing in particular a proof of the existence of Kähler–Einstein metrics with positive Ricci curvature that are singular along a given anti-canonical divisor (which combined with very recent developments concerning Kähler metrics with conical singularities confirms a recent conjecture of Donaldson). As another application we show that if the Calabi flow in the (anti-)canonical class exists for all times then it converges to a Kähler–Einstein metric, when a unique one exists, which is in line with a well-known conjecture.  相似文献

This note is a step towards demonstrating the benefits of a symplectic approach to studying equivariant Kähler geometry. We apply a local differential geometric framework from Kähler toric geometry due to Guillemin and Abreu to the case of the standard linear SU(n) action on Cn?{0}. Using this framework we (re)construct certain Kähler metrics from data on moment polytopes.  相似文献

In this paper we study the Calabi diastasis function of Hermitian symmetric spaces. This allows us to prove that if a complete Hermitian locally symmetric space (M,g) admits a Kähler immersion into a globally symmetric space (S,G) then it is globally symmetric and the immersion is injective. Moreover, if (S,G) is symmetric of a specified type (Euclidean, noncompact, compact), then (M,g) is of the same type. We also give a characterization of Hermitian globally symmetric spaces in terms of their diastasis function. Finally, we apply our analysis to study the balanced metrics, introduced by Donaldson, in the case of locally Hermitian symmetric spaces.  相似文献

We give a proof that the sphere S6 does not admit an integrable orthogonal complex structure using simple differential geometric methods. This appears as a corollary of a general analogous result concerning pseudo-spheres.We study the twistor space of a pseudo-Riemannian manifold in both the holomorphic and pseudo-Riemannian directions. In particular, we construct the twistor space of a pseudo-sphere as a known pseudo-Kähler symmetric space. This leads to the explicit, unexpected computation of the exterior derivative of the Kähler form on the base manifold.  相似文献

In this paper we study almost Hermitian submersions with total space a locally conformal Kähler (l.c.K.) manifold, i.e., l.c.K. submersions. We derive necessary and sufficient conditions for the fibers of a l.c.K. submersion to be minimal and for the horizontal distribution to be completely integrable. We give, under certain conditions, some relations between the Betti numbers of the total space and the base space of a l.c.K. submersion and we obtain all the l.c.K. submersions with totally geodesic fibers and total space a particular class of generalized Hopf manifolds.Supported by the Consejería de Educación del Gobierno de Canarias  相似文献

The term “special biconformal change” refers, basically, to the situation where a given nontrivial real-holomorphic vector field on a complex manifold is a gradient relative to two K?hler metrics, and, simultaneously, an eigenvector of one of the metrics treated, with the aid of the other, as an endomorphism of the tangent bundle. A special biconformal change is called nontrivial if the two metrics are not each other’s constant multiples. For instance, according to a 1995 result of LeBrun, a nontrivial special biconformal change exists for the conformally-Einstein K?hler metric on the two-point blow-up of the complex projective plane, recently discovered by Chen, LeBrun and Weber; the real-holomorphic vector field involved is the gradient of its scalar curvature. The present paper establishes the existence of nontrivial special biconformal changes for some canonical metrics on Del Pezzo surfaces, viz. K?hler–Einstein metrics (when a nontrivial holomorphic vector field exists), non-Einstein K?hler–Ricci solitons, and K?hler metrics admitting nonconstant Killing potentials with geodesic gradients.  相似文献

We study the Dirichlet problem for complex Monge-Ampère equations in Hermitian manifolds with general (non-pseudoconvex) boundary. Our main result (Theorem 1.1) extends the classical theorem of Caffarelli, Kohn, Nirenberg and Spruck in Cn. We also consider the equation on compact manifolds without boundary, attempting to generalize Yau's theorems in the Kähler case. As applications of the main result we study some connections between the homogeneous complex Monge-Ampère (HCMA) equation and totally real submanifolds, and a special Dirichlet problem for the HCMA equation related to Donaldson's conjecture on geodesics in the space of Kähler metrics.  相似文献

We prove that admissible functions for Fubini-Study metric on the complex projective space PmC of complex dimension m, invariant by a convenient automorphisms group, are lower bounded by a function going to minus infinity on the boundary of usual charts of PmC. A similar lower bound holds on some projective manifolds. This gives an optimal constant in a Hörmander type inequality on these manifolds, which allows us, using Tian's invariant, to establish the existence of Einstein-Kähler metrics on them.  相似文献

Let F be a Kähler spin foliation of codimension q=2n on a compact Riemannian manifold M with the transversally holomorphic mean curvature form κ. It is well known [S.D. Jung, T.H. Kang, Lower bounds for the eigenvalue of the transversal Dirac operator on a Kähler foliation, J. Geom. Phys. 45 (2003) 75-90] that the eigenvalue λ of the basic Dirac operator Db satisfies the inequality , where σ∇ is the transversal scalar curvature of F. In this paper, we introduce the transversal Kählerian twistor operator and prove that the same inequality for the eigenvalue of the basic Dirac operator by using the transversal Kählerian twistor operator. We also study the limiting case. In fact, F is minimal and transversally Einsteinian of odd complex codimension n with nonnegative constant transversal scalar curvature.  相似文献

We construct a conformally invariant vector bundle connection such that its equation of parallel transport is a first order system that gives a prolongation of the conformal Killing equation on differential forms. Parallel sections of this connection are related bijectively to solutions of the conformal Killing equation. We construct other conformally invariant connections, also giving prolongations of the conformal Killing equation, that bijectively relate solutions of the conformal Killing equation on k-forms to a twisting of the conformal Killing equation on (k?)-forms for various integers ?. These tools are used to develop a helicity raising and lowering construction in the general setting and on conformally Einstein manifolds.  相似文献
