We define Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structures with background on Lie algebroids and we prove that any generalized complex structure on a Courant algebroid which is the double of a Lie algebroid has an associated Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structure with background. We prove that any Lie algebroid with a Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structure with background constitutes, with its dual, a quasi-Lie bialgebroid. We also prove that any pair (π,ω) of a Poisson bivector and a 2-form induces a Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structure with background and we observe that particular cases correspond to already known compatibilities between π and ω. This paper was presented as a poster in the conference “Poisson 2008”, EPFL, Lausanne, in July 2008.  相似文献

We present a quick review of several reduction techniques for symplectic and Poisson manifolds using local and global symmetries compatible with these structures. Reduction based on the standard momentum map (symplectic or Marsden–Weinstein reduction) and on generalized distributions (the optimal momentum map and optimal reduction) is emphasized. Reduction of Poisson brackets is also discussed and it is shown how it defines induced Poisson structures on cosymplectic and coisotropic submanifolds.  相似文献

We find a worldsheet realization of generalized complex geometry, a notion introduced recently by Hitchin which interpolates between complex and symplectic manifolds. The two–dimensional model we construct is a supersymmetric relative of the Poisson sigma model used in the context of deformation quantization.  相似文献

In this letter, we study some invariants of integrable twisted Poisson manifolds under Morita equivalence. We show that two twisted symplectic manifolds are Morita equivalent if and only if their fundamental groups are isomorphic. Moreover, the first cohomology group of twisted Poisson manifolds is invariant under Morita equivalence. Finally, we prove that if two twisted Poisson manifolds are Morita equivalent, then their representation categories are equivalent.   相似文献

We introduce the notion of moment maps for quantum groups acting on their module algebras. When the module algebras are quantizations of Poisson manifolds, we prove that the construction at the quantum level is a quantization of that at the semi-classical level. We also prove that the corresponding smashed product algebras are quantizations of the semi-direct product Poisson structures.Research partially supported by NSF grant DMS-89-07710  相似文献

We show that deformations of a coisotropic submanifold inside a fibrewise entire Poisson manifold are controlled by the L -algebra introduced by Oh–Park (for symplectic manifolds) and Cattaneo–Felder. In the symplectic case, we recover results previously obtained by Oh–Park. Moreover we consider the extended deformation problem and prove its obstructedness.  相似文献

Generalized Kähler geometry is the natural analogue of Kähler geometry, in the context of generalized complex geometry. Just as we may require a complex structure to be compatible with a Riemannian metric in a way which gives rise to a symplectic form, we may require a generalized complex structure to be compatible with a metric so that it defines a second generalized complex structure. We prove that generalized Kähler geometry is equivalent to the bi-Hermitian geometry on the target of a 2-dimensional sigma model with (2, 2) supersymmetry. We also prove the existence of natural holomorphic Courant algebroids for each of the underlying complex structures, and that these split into a sum of transverse holomorphic Dirac structures. Finally, we explore the analogy between pre-quantum line bundles and gerbes in the context of generalized Kähler geometry.  相似文献

Vector fields whose flow preserves a symplectic form up to a constant, such as simple mechanical systems with friction, are called “conformal”. We develop a reduction theory for symmetric conformal Hamiltonian systems, analogous to symplectic reduction theory. This entire theory extends naturally to Poisson systems: given a symmetric conformal Poisson vector field, we show that it induces two reduced conformal Poisson vector fields, again analogous to the dual pair construction for symplectic manifolds. Conformal Poisson systems form an interesting infinite-dimensional Lie algebra of foliate vector fields. Manifolds supporting such conformal vector fields include cotangent bundles, Lie–Poisson manifolds, and their natural quotients.  相似文献

Using Fedosov’s approach we give a geometric construction of a formal symplectic groupoid over any Poisson manifold endowed with a torsion-free Poisson contravariant connection. In the case of Kähler–Poisson manifolds this construction provides, in particular, the formal symplectic groupoids with separation of variables. We show that the dual of a semisimple Lie algebra does not admit torsion-free Poisson contravariant connections.  相似文献

The aim of the present paper is to investigate new classes of symplectically fat fibre bundles. We prove a general existence theorem for fat vectors with respect to the canonical invariant connections. Based on this result we give new proofs of some constructions of symplectic structures. This includes twistor bundles and locally homogeneous complex manifolds. The proofs are conceptually simpler and allow for obtaining more general results.  相似文献

Poisson transversals are submanifolds in a Poisson manifold which intersect all symplectic leaves transversally and symplectically. In this communication, we prove a normal form theorem for Poisson maps around Poisson transversals. A Poisson map pulls a Poisson transversal back to a Poisson transversal, and our first main result states that simultaneous normal forms exist around such transversals, for which the Poisson map becomes transversally linear, and intertwines the normal form data of the transversals. Our second result concerns symplectic integrations. We prove that a neighborhood of a Poisson transversal is integrable exactly when the Poisson transversal itself is integrable, and in that case we prove a normal form theorem for the symplectic groupoid around its restriction to the Poisson transversal, which puts all structure maps in normal form. We conclude by illustrating our results with examples arising from Lie algebras.  相似文献

Reduction of Poisson manifolds   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9
Reduction in the category of Poisson manifolds is defined and some basic properties are derived. The context is chosen to include the usual theorems on reduction of symplectic manifolds, as well as results such as the Dirac bracket and the reduction to the Lie-Poisson bracket.Research supported by DOE contract DE-AT03-85ER 12097.Supported by an A. The magnetic backgrounds that physically give rise to spacetime noncommutativity are generally treated using noncommutative geometry. In this paper we prove that also the theory of generalised complex manifolds contains the necessary elements to generate B-fields geometrically. As an example, the Poisson brackets of the Landau model (electric charges on a plane subject to an external, particularly applied magnetic field) are rederived using the techniques of generalised complex manifolds.  相似文献

We consider odd Laplace operators acting on densities of various weights on an odd Poisson (= Schouten) manifold M. We prove that the case of densities of weight 1/2 (half-densities) is distinguished by the existence of a unique odd Laplace operator depending only on a point of an 'orbit space' of volume forms. This includes earlier results for the odd symplectic case, where there is a canonical odd Laplacian on half-densities. The space of volume forms on M is partitioned into orbits by the action of a natural groupoid whose arrows correspond to the solutions of the quantum Batalin–Vilkovisky equations. We compare this situation with that of Riemannian and even Poisson manifolds. In particular, we show that the square of an odd Laplace operator is a Poisson vector field defining an analog of Weinstein's 'modular class'.  相似文献

We generalize the Gel'fand-Dorfman theorem to Poisson manifolds using the cohomological conditions. We find conditions to construct some compatible Poisson structures (exact cocycle type) suited to the needs of the theorem. Exact Poisson structures on vector spaces are also studied. We prove that every Lie-Poisson structure is exact.  相似文献

The leafwise complex of a reducible non-negative polarization with values in the prequantum bundle on a prequantizable symplectic manifold is studied. The cohomology groups of this complex is shown to vanish in rank less than the rank of the real part of the non-negative polarization. The Bohr-Sommerfeld set for a reducible non-negative polarization is defined. A factorization theorem is proved for these reducible non-negative polarizations. For compact symplectic manifolds, it is shown that the above complex has finite dimensional cohomology groups, more-over a Lefschetz fixed point theorem and an index theorem for these non-elliptic complexes is proved. As a corollary of the index theorem, we deduce that the cardinality of the Bohr-Sommerfeld set for any reducible real polarization on a compact symplectic manifold is determined by the volume and the dimension of the manifold. We prove a conjecture which expresses the bigraded Poisson-de Rham homology of the nilpotent cone of a semisimple Lie algebra in terms of the generalized (one-variable) Kostka polynomials, via a formula suggested by Lusztig. This allows us to construct a canonical family of filtrations on the flag variety cohomology, and hence on irreducible representations of the Weyl group, whose Hilbert series are given by the generalized Kostka polynomials. We deduce consequences for the cohomology of all Springer fibers. In particular, this computes the grading on the zeroth Poisson homology of all classical finite W-algebras, as well as the filtration on the zeroth Hochschild homology of all quantum finite W-algebras, and we generalize to all homology degrees. As a consequence, we deduce a conjecture of Proudfoot on symplectic duality, relating in type A the Poisson homology of Slodowy slices to the intersection cohomology of nilpotent orbit closures. In the last section, we give an analogue of our main theorem in the setting of mirabolic D-modules.  相似文献
