The far-infrared spectrum has been recorded from 50 to 360 cm–1 at a resolution of 0.10 cm–1 for acetyiacetylene (1-butyne-3-one], CH3C(O)CCH. The fundamental methyl torsion has been observed at 117.94 cm–1, from which a periodic barrier to internal rotation has been calculated to be 346 cm–1 (989 cal mol–1]. Infrared spectra (3500-50 cm–1] of the gas and solid and the Raman spectra (3500-100 cm–1) of the gas, liquid, and solid are reported. Utilizing previously reported rotational constants for three isotopic species,r o structural parameters have been determined for the heavy-atom skeleton. The fundamental vibrational frequencies, barrier to internal rotation, and structural parameters that have been obtained experimentally are compared to those obtained from ab initio Hartree-Fock calculations employing 3-21G, 6-31G, and DZ basis sets and to the corresponding quantities for some similar molecules.  相似文献

The values of the second dissociation constant, pK2, and related thermodynamic quantities of 4-(N-morpholino)butanesulfonic acid (MOBS) and N-tris(hydroxymethyl)-4-aminobutanesulfonic acid (TABS) have already been reported over the temperature range 5–55°C including 37{°}C. This paper reports the pH values of twelve equimolal buffer solutions at designated pH (s) with the following compositions: (a) mixtures of MOBS (0.05 mol-kg–1) + NaMOBS (0.05 mol-kg–1); (b) MOBS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaMOBS (0.08 mol-kg–1); (c) MOBS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaMOBS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaCl (0.08 mol-kg–1); (d) TABS (0.05 mol-kg–1) + NaTABS (0.05 mol-kg–1); and (e) TABS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaTABS (0.08 mol-kg–1); and (f) TABS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaTABS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaCl (0.08 mol-kg–1). Two buffer solutions have ionic strengths I= 0.05 mol-kg–1, another two have I=0.08 mol-kg–1, and the remaining two buffer solutions have I= 0.16 mol-kg–1, which is close to that of the clinical fluids (blood serum). These buffers have been recommended as a useful pH standard for the measurements of physiological solutions. Conventional pH values of all six buffer solutions from 5–55°C, as well as those obtained from the liquid junction potential correction at 25 and 37{°}C have been calculated. The flowing-junction calomel cell has been utilized to measure Ej, the liquid junction potential.  相似文献

The composition and stability of holmium methylenediphosphonate (MDP) and 1-hydroxyethylidenephosphonate (HEDP) complexes were studied by potentiometric titration methods in 0.1M NaCl at 25 °C. It was found that besides L4– anions the protonated H n L(4–n)– species (n = 1–3 for MDP and n = 1–4 for HEDP) are present in the pH region 3 to 10. The presence of the undissociated acids (H4L) has not been unambiguously proved for MDP. The complexes of the composition HoH n L (n varies from 1 to –2 for MDP and from 1 to –1 for HEDP) have been found if the concentration of the ligand is higher than the concentration of holmium. The protonation constants of both acids and the stability constants of the complexes discussed were determined and the comparison with literature data of analogical complexes of other lanthanides was performed.  相似文献

The second dissociation constant pK2 of 3-(N-morpholino)propanesulfonic acid (MOPS) has been determined at eight temperatures from 5 to 55°C by measurements of the emf of cells without liquid junction, utilizing hydrogen electrodes and silver–silver chloride electrodes. The pK2 has a value of 7.18 ± 0.001 at 25°C and 7.044 ± 0.002 at 37°C. The thermodynamic quantities G°, H°, S°, and C p o have been derived from the temperature coefficients of the pK 2. This buffer at ionic strength I = 0.16 mol-kg–1 close to that of blood serum, has been recommended as a useful secondary pH standard for measurements of physiological fluids. Five buffer solutions with the following compositions were prepared: (a) equimolal mixture of MOPS (0.05 mol-kg–1) + NaMOPS, (0.05 mol-kg–1); (b( MOPS (0.05 mol-kg–1) + NaMOPS (0.05 mol-kg–1) + NaCl (0.05 mol-kg–1); (c) MOPS (0.05 mol-kg–1) + NaMOPS (0.05 mol-kg–1); + NaCl (0.11mol-kg–1); (d) MOPS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaMOPS (0.08 mol-kg–1); and (e)MOPS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaMOPS (0.08 mol-kg–1) + NaCl (0.08 mol-kg–1).The pH values obtained by using the pH meter + glass electrode assembly are compared with those measured from a flow–junction calomel cell saturated with KCl (cell B), as well as those obtained from cell (A) without liquid junction at 25 and 37°C. The conventional values of the liquid junction potentials E j have been obtained at 25 and 37°C for the physiological phosphate reference solution as well as for the MOPS buffers (d) and (e) mentioned above.  相似文献

The far infrared spectrum [350 to 25 cm–1] of gaseous chloroacetaldehyde, ClCH2CHO, has been recorded at a resolution of 0.10 cm–1. The first excited-state transition of the asymmetric torsion of the more stable near s-cis [chlorine atom s-cis to the aldehyde hydrogen atom] conformer has been observed at 26.9 cm–1, with seven additional upper state transitions falling to higher frequency. Additionally, the fundamental torsional transition of the s-trans conformer has been observed at 58.9 cm–1 with two excited states also falling to higher frequency. From these data, the asymmetric torsional potential coefficients have been determined to be:V 1=414±11;V 2 = 191±3;V 3=–203±5;V 4=44±1 andV 6=–26±1 cm–1. The s-cis to s-trans barrier is 500±5 cm–1 (1.43±0.01 kcal mol–1) with the s-cis conformer being more stable by 267±19 cm–1 (0.76±0.05 kcal mol–1) than the s-trans form. The Raman [4000 to 100 cm–1] and infrared (4000 to 400 cm–1] spectra of the gas have been recorded. Additionally, the Raman spectrum of the liquid has been recorded and qualitative depolarization values obtained. Complete vibrational assignments are proposed for both conformers based on band contours, depolarization values, and group frequencies. The assignments are supported by ab initio Hartree-Fock gradient calculations employing the 3–21G* basis set to obtain the frequencies and the potential energy distributions for the normal vibrations for both rotamers. Additional ab initio calculations at the MP4/6-31G* level have been carried out to determine the structural parameters for both conformers. The results are discussed and compared with the corresponding quantities obtained for some similar molecules.This contribution taken in part from the thesis of C. L. Summary The structures of aloperine and allylaloperine (fromSophora alopecuroides L.) — alkaloids of a new structural type for the genusSophora — have been established by chemical and spectral methods. Vapour pressures of 1,4-di-tert-butylbenzene (379–1647 Pa), 1,3,5-tri-tert-butylbenzene (203.9–241 Pa), 1-methyl-3,5-di-tert-butylbenzene (16.7–435.8 and 1318–103,880 Pa), and 1,2,2-trimethylpropybenzene (36.3–287.4 Pa) have been measured using a transpiration method and an ebuliometric method. Based on the literature and obtained by the authors experimental data a comparative study of prediction capabilities of the following methods has been carried out: Ambrose–Walton's, Lee–Kesler's, Riedel's and the modification of Riedel's method made by Vetere.  相似文献

The far infrared spectrum (375 to 30 cm–1) of gaseous 2-chloro-3-fluoropropene, CH2=C(CH2F)CI, has been recorded at a resolution of 0.10 cm–1. The fundamental asymmetric torsional mode is observed at 117.5 cm–1 with ten excited states falling to low frequency for thes-cis (fluorine atom eclipsing the double bond) conformer. For the higher energy gauche conformer, the asymmetric torsion is estimated to be at 94 cm–1. From these data the asymmetric torsional potential function has been calculated. The potential function coefficients are calculated to be in cm–1):V 1=803±21,V 2=–94±21,V 3= 1025±10,V 4=95±10, andV 6=2±1, with an enthalpy difference between the more stables-cis and gauche conformera of 550±100 cm–1 (1.57±0.29 kcal/mol). This function gives values of 1227±50cm–1(3.51±0.14kcal/mol), 1266±200 cm–1 (3.62±0.57 kcal/mol), and 665±100 cm–1 (1.90±0.29 kcal/mol), for thes-cis to gauche, gauche to gauche, and gauche tos-cis barriers, respectively. From the relative intensities of the Raman lines of the gas at 652 cm–1 (gauche) and 731 cm–1 (s-cis) as a function temperature, the enthalpy difference is found to be 565±96 cm–1 (1.62±0.27 kcal/mol). However, the more polar gauche conformer remains in the crystalline solid. The Raman spectrum of the gas has been recorded from 3500 to 70 cm–1 and, utilizing these data and the previously reported infrared data, a complete vibrational analysis is proposed for both conformers. The conformational stability, barriers to internal rotation, fundamental vibrational frequencies, and structural parameters that have been determined experimentally are compared to those obtained from ab initio Hartree-Fock gradient calculations employing both the 3–21 G* and 6–31G* basis sets and to the corresponding quantities for some similar molecules.  相似文献

The sorption of hafnium on hydrous titanium oxide (TiO2·1.94 H2O) has been studied in detail. Maximum sorption of hafnium can be achieved from a pH 7 buffer solution containing boric acid and sodium hydroxide using 50 mg of the oxide after 30 minutes shaking. The value ofk d, the rate constant of intraparticle transport for hafnium sorption, from 0.01M hydrochloric and perchloric acid and pH 7 buffer solutions has been found to be 17 mmole·g–1·min–2. The kinetics of hafnium sorption follows Lagergren equation in 0.01M HCl solution only. The values of the overall rate constantK=6.33·10–2 min–1 and of the rate constant for sorptionk 1=6.32·10–2 min–1 and desorptionk 2=2.28·10–5 min–1 have been evaluated using linear regression analysis. The value of correlation factor() is 0.9824. The influence of hafnium concentration on its sorption has been examined from 4.55·10–5 to 9.01·10–4 M from pH 7 buffer solution. The sorption data followed only the Langmuir sorption isotherm. The saturation capacity of 9.52 mmole·g–1 and of a constant related to sorption energy have been estimated to be 2917 dm3·mole–1. Among all the additional anions and cations tested only citrate ions reduce the sorption significantly. Under optimal experimental conditions selected for hafnium sorption, As(III), Sn(V), Co(II), Se(IV) and Eu(III) have shown higher sorption whereas Mn(II), Ag(I) and Sc(III) are sorbed to a lesser extent. It can be concluded that a titanium oxide bed can be used for the preconcentration and removal of hafnium and other metal ions showing higher sorption from their very dilute solutions. The oxide can also be employed for the decontamination of radioactive liquid waste and for pollution abatement studies.  相似文献

The infrared (3200–30 cm–1) spectra of gaseous and solid Cyclopropyldifluorosilane, c-C3H5SiF2H, and the Raman spectra (3200–20 cm–1) of the liquid with quantitative depolarization values and the solid have been recorded. Both the syn (cis) and skew (gauche) conformers have been identified in the fluid phases, but only the syn conformer remains in the solid. Variable temperature (–55 to –100°C) studies of the infrared spectra of the sample dissolved in liquid xenon have been carried out. From these data, the enthalpy difference has been determined to be 73 ± 10 cm–1 (209 ± 29 cal mol–1), with the syn conformer being the more stable rotamer, which is at variance with the predictions from ab initio calculations. A complete vibrational assignment is proposed for both conformers based on infared band contours, relative intensities, depolarization values, and group frequencies. The vibrational assignments are supported by normal coordinate calculations utilizing the force constants from ab initio MP2/6-31G* calculations. Utilizing the frequencies of the silicon–hydrogen sketch, the rm Si—H bond distances of 1.474 and 1.472 Å have been obtained for the syn and skew conformers, respectively. Complete equilibrium geometries have been determined for both rotamers by ab initio calculations employing the 6-31G* and 6-311 +G** basis sets at levels of restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF) and/or Moller–Plesset (MP) to second order. The potential energy terms for the conformer interconversion have been obtained from the MP2/6-31G* calculation. The results are discussed and compared to those obtained for some similar molecules.  相似文献

A new, simple, rapid, and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of nitrophenols [picric acid (PA); dinitrophenols (DNP)] in wastewater samples. The method is based on the reaction of nitrophenols with 2-[(E)-2-(4-diethylaminophenyl)-1-ethenyl]-1,3,3-trimethyl-3 H-indolium chloride reagent to form the colored ion associates, which are extracted by organic solvents. The molar absorptivity of the ion associates of PA with the investigated reagent ranges from 8.3×104 to 11.3×104 L mol–1 cm–1, depending on the extractant. Because only PA is extracted in an acidic medium with the investigated reagent, but both PA and DNP are extracted in an alkaline medium, it is possible to determine both substances in a mixture. Appropriate reaction conditions have been established. The absorbance of the colored extracts obeys Beers law in the range of 0.04–4.58 mg L–1 PA, 1.0–18.4 mg L–1 2,4-DNP and 1.2–14.7 mg L–1 2,6-DNP, respectively. The limit of detections, calculated from a blank test (n=10; P=0.95), are 0.05 mg L–1 PA, 0.9 mg L–1 (2,4-DNP), and 1.1 mg L–1 (2,6-DNP), respectively.  相似文献

Quinoline is known to adsorb on a mercury electrode surface with several differentorientations and it sometimes blocks other electrochemical reactions. The Ramanmicroprobe technique has been applied successfully to observe reorientations ofquinoline adsorbed on the mercury surface from neutral and basic aqueoussolutions. The orientation-distance profile from the mercury surface was also studied.A Raman band intensity of quinoline (1373 cm–1) relative to the intensity ofperchlorate ion (931 cm–1) was measured. The peak positions did not shift evenwhen the applied potential was altered, but the relative peak intensity changed.It was concluded that the adsorbed quinoline changes its orientation from a flatat –0.1 > E > –0.3V, to a standing at E < –0.5 V, passing through a mixtureof the two orientations when –0.3 > E > –0.5 V.  相似文献

The sorption of Fe(III) at low pH range from 1 to 4.5 on open cell polyether type HTTA-loaded polyurethane foam has been carried out using batch technique. The optimum shaking time for 2.5· 10–4M solution of Fe(III) was found to be 30 minutes. The concept of macropore and micropore nature of polyurethane foam sorbent offers unique advantages of adsorption. Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherms are followed at low concentration range from 1·10–4 to 3·10–4M solution of Fe(III). The Freundlich constant (1/n=0.46±0.013 andK=9.16±1.39 mg·g–1) and Langmuir isotherm constants(M=21.78 mg·g–1 andb=88.41±9.731·g–1) were established. The sorption mean free energyE=12.22±0.09 kJ·mol–1 and loading capacityC m =145.21±6.1 mg·g–1 were evaluated using Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm, which suggested that the adsorption mechanism was chemisorption.  相似文献

A polysaccharide has been isolated from the leaves ofPhytolacca americana and has been characterized. It has been established that it contains residues of galactose, arabinose, xylose, and rhamnose, in a ratio of 3:4:1:3 and also D-galacturonic acid (85–90%). N-hydroxy-N,N′-diphenylcinnamamidine (HDPCA) forms a blue-violet coloured 1:2 complex (metal:ligand) with vanadium(V), which can be quantitatively extracted into chloroform from 1.0–9.5M acetic acid medium. Based on this colour reaction, a sensitive and highly selective method for the spectrophotometric determination of microgram quantities of vanadium(V) has been developed. The complex shows maximum absorption at 570 nm and obeys Beer's law in the vanadium concentration range 0.6–12.5 μg/ml. The method has been applied to alloy steels.  相似文献

The far-infrared spectra (350–35 cm–1) of gaseous ethyl methyl ether-d 0 and ethyl methyl-d 3-ether have been recorded at a resolution of 0.10 cm–1. For the d 0 species, the fundamental asymmetric torsion of the more stable trans conformer (two methyl moieties are trans to one another) has been observed at 115.40 cm–1 with four upper state transitions falling to lower frequency, whereas, for the gauche form, it has been observed at 93.56 cm–1 with two excited states falling to lower frequency. the corresponding series for the d 3 species start from 106.00 and 87.10 cm–1, respectively. From these data, the asymmetric torsional potential coefficients for the d 0 species have been determined to be: V 1 = 572 ± 30; V 2 = 85 ± 8; V 3 = 619 ± 30; V 4 = 175 ± 18, and V 6 = –28 ± 3 cm–1. The trans to gauche and gauche to gauche barriers were calculated to be 958 cm–1 (11.5 kJ/mol) and 631 cm–1 (7.55 kJ/mol), respectively, with an energy difference of 550 ± 6 cm–1 (6.58 ± 0.07 kJ/mol). Utilizing three conformer pairs, variable temperature studies (–105 to –150°C) of the infrared spectra of the d 0 sample dissolved in liquid krypton gave an enthalpy difference of 547 ± 28 cm–1 (6.54 ± 0.33 kJ/mol) with the trans conformer the more stable rotamer. It is estimated that there is only 4% of the gauche conformer present at ambient temperatures. The structural parameters, conformational stabilities, barriers to internal rotation, and fundamental vibrational frequencies, which have been determined experimentally, are compared to those obtained from ab initio gradient predictions from RHF/6-31G* and with full electron correlation at the MP2 level with three different basis sets. The adjusted r 0 structural parameters have been obtained for the trans conformer from combined ab initio MP2/6-311+G** predictions and previously reported microwave rotational constants. The reported distances should be accurate to 0.003 Å and the angles to 0.5°. These results are compared to the corresponding quantities obtained for some similar molecules.  相似文献

The ionization constant of ammonia has been determined by conductivity measurements and found to vary from 1.77×10–5 at 25°C to 1.3×10–6mol-kg–1 at 250°C. The pressure effect to 2000 bar has been measured and the ratio K2000/K1 is 6.8 at 25°C and 11 at 250°C. The standard molar volume change for the ionization at 1 bar, V 1 o , changes from –28.8 at 25°C to –67 cm3-mol–1 at 250°C.  相似文献

Silicon dioxide nano-particles, diameter 50 nm, containing morin (morin–SiO2) have been synthesized by the sol–gel method. They emit strong and stable room-temperature phosphorescence (SS-RTP) on filter paper as substrate, and bismuth can quench the intensity of the SS-RTP. On this basis a new morin–SiO2 solid-substrate room-temperature phosphorescence-quenching method has been established for determination of traces of bismuth. Reduction of phosphorescence intensity (Ip) is directly proportional to the concentration of bismuth in the working range 0.16–14.4 ag spot–1 (sample volume 0.40 L spot–1, corresponding to the concentration range 0.40–36.0 fg mL–1). The regression equation of the working curve is Ip=14.86+5.279×[Bi3+] (ag spot–1) (n=6, r=0.9982). The detection limit of this method is 0.026 ag spot–1 (corresponding to a concentration of 6.5×10–17 g mL–1).This sensitive, reproducible and accurate method has been used for successful analysis of real samples.  相似文献

The Raman (3200 to 10 cm–1) and far infrared (380 to 60 cm–1) spectra of gaseous fluorocyclobutane,c-C4H7F, have been recorded. A series of Q-branches observed in both of these spectra beginning at 166 cm–1 with successive transitions falling to lower frequencies have been assigned to the ring puckering vibrations of both the low energy equatorial and high energy axial conformers. These data have been fit to an asymmetric potential function of the form:V (cm–1)=(1.76±0.05)103X+(4.88±0.28)104X2+(2.12 ±0.16)103 exp(–5.66±0.41)10X2 with a reduced mass function ofg 44= 0.00386–0.00295X+0.03485X2+0.1228X3 +0.3459X4, whereX is the ring puckering coordinate. Utilizing this potential, the difference between the puckering angles for the two conformers was calculated to be 4° with the equatorial conformer having the larger value of 28°. This potential function is consistent with an energy difference between the equatorial and axial forms of 447 cm–1 (1.28 kcal/mol) and a barrier to ring inversion from the equatorial to the axial conformation of 713 cm–1 (2.04 kcal/mol). Experimental values for the enthalpy difference between the two conformers have been determined for both the liquid (400±30 c–1) and gas (413±43 cm–1) from investigations of the Raman spectra at variable temperatures. The conformational stability, enthalpy difference, structural parameters, and fundamental vibrational frequencies, which have been determined experimentally, are compared to those obtained from ab initio Hartree-Fock calculations employing the 3-21G, 6-31 G*, and 6-31 G** basis sets.For part LVIII, seeStruct.
