A chemically modified carbon paste electrode with 2,7‐bis(ferrocenyl ethyl)fluoren‐9‐one (2,7‐BFEFMCPE) was employed to study the electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid in aqueous solution using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and chronoamperometry. The diffusion coefficient (D=1.89×10?5 cm2 s?1), and the kinetic parameter such as the electron transfer coefficient, α (=0.42) of ascorbic acid oxidation at the surface of 2,7‐BFEFMCPE was determined using electrochemical approaches. It has been found that under an optimum condition (pH 7.00), the oxidation of ascorbic acid at the surface of such an electrode occurs at a potential about 300 mV less positive than that of an unmodified carbon paste electrode. The catalytic oxidation peak currents show a linear dependence on the ascorbic acid concentration and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 8.0×10?5 M–2.0×10?3 M and 3.1×10?5 M–3.3×10?3 M of ascorbic acid with correlation coefficients of 0.9980 and 0.9976 in cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry, respectively. The detection limits (2δ) were determined to be 2.9×10?5 M and 9.0×10?6 M with cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry, respectively. This method was also examined for determination of ascorbic acid in pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode spiked with 1‐[4‐ferrocenyl ethynyl) phenyl]‐1‐ethanone (4FEPE) was constructed by incorporation of 4FEPE in graphite powder‐paraffin oil matrix. It has been shown by direct current cyclic voltammetry and double step chronoamperometry that this electrode can catalyze the oxidation of tryptophan (Trp) in aqueous buffered solution. It has been found that under optimum condition (pH 7.00), the oxidation of Trp at the surface of such an electrode occurs at a potential about 200 mV less positive than at an unmodified carbon paste electrode. The kinetic parameters such as electron transfer coefficient, α and rate constant for the chemical reaction between Trp and redox sites in 4FEPE modified carbon paste electrode (4FEPEMCPE) were also determined using electrochemical approaches. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of Trp showed a linear dependent on the Trp concentrations and linear calibration curves were obtained in the ranges of 6.00×10?6 M–3.35×10?3 M and 8.50×10?7 M–6.34×10?5 M of Trp concentration with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 1.80×10?6 M and 5.60×10?7 M by CV and DPV methods. This method was also examined as a selective, simple and precise new method for voltammetric determination of tryptophan in real sample.  相似文献

Electrochemical oxidation of indapamide has been investigated at glassy carbon electrode using cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Indapamide exhibited two well resolved signals which attributed to the oxidation of indoline ring and benzamide moiety in phosphate buffers in the pH range of 2.7?C10.1. The oxidation processes have been shown to be irreversible and diffusion controlled. The formation of an inclusion complex of indapamide with ??-cyclodextrin (??-CD) has been investigated by cyclic, differential pulse voltammetry as well as UV?CVis spectrophotometry. The stability constant of the complex was determined to be 6199 and 2717 M?1 using differential pulse voltammetry and UV?CVis spectrophotometry, respectively.  相似文献

The electrocatalytic oxidation of hydrazine at a carbon paste electrode spiked with acetylferrocene as a mediator was studied by cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, and chronoamperometry. In contrast to other ferrocenic compounds, acetylferrocene exhibits a chemical irreversible behavior, but it can act as an effective mediator for electrocatalytic oxidation of hydrazine, too. The heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant between acetylferrocene and the electrode substrate (carbon paste) and the diffusion coefficient of spiked acetylferrocene in silicon oil were estimated to be about 3.45×10?4 cm s?1 and 4.45×10?9 cm2 s?1, respectively. It has been found that under the optimum conditions (pH 7.5) the oxidation of hydrazine occurs at a potential of about 228 mV less positive than that of an unmodified carbon paste electrode. The catalytic oxidation peak current of hydrazine was linearly dependent on its concentration and the obtained linear range was 3.09×10?5 M–1.03×10?3 M. The detection limit (2σ) has been determined as 2.7×10?5 M by cyclic voltammetry. Also, the peak current was increased linearly with the concentration of hydrazine in the range of 1×10?5 M–1×10?3 M by differential pulse voltammetry with a detection limit of 1×10?5 M. This catalytic oxidation of hydrazine has been applied as a selective, simple, and precise new method for the determination of hydrazine in water samples.  相似文献

The electrochemical properties of hydrazine studied at the surface of a carbon paste electrode spiked with p‐bromanil (tetrabromo‐p‐benzoquinone) using cyclic voltammetry (CV), double potential‐step chronoamperometry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in aqueous media. The results show this quinone derivative modified carbon paste electrode, can catalyze the hydrazine oxidation in an aqueous buffered solution. It has been found that under the optimum conditions (pH 10.00), the oxidation of hydrazine at the surface of this carbon paste modified electrode occurs at a potential of about 550 mV less positive than that of a bar carbon paste electrode. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of hydrazine showed a linear dependent on the hydrazine concentrations and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 6.00×10?5 M–8.00×10?3 M and 7.00×10?6 M–8.00×10?4 M of hydrazine concentration with CV and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 3.6×10?5 M and 5.2×10?6 M by CV and DPV methods. This method was also used for the determination of hydrazine in the real sample (waste water of the Mazandaran wood and paper factory) by standard addition method.  相似文献

The formation of an inclusion complex of the proton‐pump inhibitor (PPI) drug esomeprazole (ESO) with ß‐cyclodextrin (ß‐CD) has been investigated and proven by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The formation constant of the complex was determined. Thereafter, an electropolymerized β‐CD and L‐arginine (L‐arg) modified screen printed carbon electrode (P‐β‐CD‐L‐arg/SPCE) was developed for the determination of ESO using differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DPAdSV). A significant enhancement of the peak current was observed when applying an accumulation step due to the effect of adsorption. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) further indicated that the polymer of β‐CD and L‐arg efficiently improved the electron transfer kinetic between analyte and electrode surface. Under the optimized conditions, the oxidation peak current was linearly proportional to the concentration of the drug in the range of 1.0×10?8 to 1.0×10?5 M. The DPAdSV method was successfully used to determine the concentrations of the drug in spiked human serum samples.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of L ‐cysteine studied at the surface of ferrocenedicarboxylic acid modified carbon paste electrode (FDCMCPE) in aqueous media using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and double potential step chronoamperometry. It has been found that under optimum condition (pH 8.00) in cyclic voltammetry, the oxidation of L ‐cysteine occurs at a potential about 200 mV less positive than that of an unmodified carbon paste electrode. The kinetic parameters such as electron transfer coefficient, α, and catalytic reaction rate constant, kh were also determined using electrochemical approaches. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of L ‐cysteine showed a linear dependent on the L ‐cysteine concentration and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 3.0×10?5 M–2.2×10?3 M and 1.5×10?5 M–3.2×10?3 M of L ‐cysteine concentration with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 2.6×10?5 M and 1.4×10?6 M by CV and DPV methods.  相似文献

An electrochemical study related to the electrooxidation of 4‐amino‐3‐thio‐5‐methyl‐1,2,4‐triazole (I), 4‐amino‐3‐thio‐5‐phenyl‐1,2,4‐triazole (II) and 3‐thio‐5‐phenyl‐1,2,4‐triazole (III), in 10% v/v methanol‐acetate buffer pH 4.6 has been performed. A variety of electrochemical techniques such as differential pulse voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, double‐potential step chronoamperometry, rotating‐disk electrode voltammetry and coulometry, were employed to clarify that the mechanism of the electrode process follows the oxidation of thiol compounds. All the compounds exhibit similar redox behavior under the given conditions. They display one irreversible oxidation peak, which is diffusion controlled. From the plot of current function in cyclic voltammetry and the ratio of ic/ia less than one in double‐potential step chronoamperometry, it was established that these compounds undergo an one electron oxidation followed by a dimerization process involving the formation of disulfide derivative (EC mechanism). The pKa values were obtained by the dependence of limiting current and potential with in the wide pH interval. The transfer coefficients, the diffusion coefficients and rate constant of coupled chemical reaction were also reported. The substituent effects were also investigated.  相似文献

For monitoring the boron concentration in reverse osmosis (RO) water produced by desalination plants, a voltammetric determination method for the amount of electrochemically inactive boron has been developed by using the complexation with 4,5‐dihydroxybenzene‐1,3‐disulfonic acid (Tiron). Cyclic voltammetric measurements showed the oxidation peak of boric acid–Tiron 1 : 1 complex at 920 mV. This peak was successfully applied to the determination of boron in RO water with the LOD of 0.1 mg B dm?3 by using differential pulse voltammetry. The redox and acid–dissociation behaviors of Tiron and its boron complex are found to depend on the properties of pH buffer reagent.  相似文献

The electrochemical properties of L ‐cysteic acid studied at the surface of p‐bromanil (tetrabromo‐p‐benzoquinone) modified carbon paste electrode (BMCPE) in aqueous media by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and double step potential chronoamperometry. It has been found that under optimum condition (pH 7.00) in cyclic voltammetry, the oxidation of L ‐cysteic acid at the surface of BMCPE occurs at a half‐wave potential of p‐bromanil redox system (e.g., 100 mV vs. Ag|AgCl|KClsat), whereas, L ‐cysteic acid was electroinactive in the testing potential ranges at the surface of bare carbon paste electrode. The apparent diffusion coefficient of spiked p‐bromanil in paraffin oil was also determined by using the Cottrell equation. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of L ‐cysteic acid exhibits a linear dependency to its concentration in the ranges of 8.00×10?6 M–6.00×10?3 M and 5.2×10?7 M–1.0×10?5 M using CV and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, respectively. The detection limits (2σ) were determined as 5.00×10?6 M and 4.00×10?7 M by CV and DPV methods. This method was used as a new, selective, rapid, simple, precise and suitable voltammetric method for determination of L ‐cysteic acid in serum of patient's blood with migraine disease.  相似文献

A new composite electrode has been fabricated based on coating multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and n‐octylpyridinum hexafluorophosphate (OPPF6) ionic liquid composite on a glassy carbon (GC) electrode (OPPF6‐MWCNTs/GCE). This electrode shows very attractive electrochemical performances for electrooxidation of risperidone (RIS) compared to conventional electrodes using carbon and mineral oil, notably improved sensitivity and stability. The oxidation peak potentials in cyclic voltammogram of RIS on the OPPF6‐MWCNTs/GCE was occurred around 230 mV vs. SCE at Britton–Robinson (B–R) buffer (pH 4.0) at scan rate of 100 mV s?1. The electrochemical parameters such as diffusion coefficient (D), charge transfer coefficient (α) and the electron transfer rate constant (k/s) were determined using cyclic voltammetry. Under the optimized conditions, the peak current was linear to risperidone concentration over the concentration range of 10–200 nM with sensitivity of 0.016 μA/nM?1 using differential pulse voltammetry. The detection limit was 6.54 nM (S/N = 3). The electrode also displayed good selectivity and repeatability. In the presence of clozapine (CLZ) the response of RIS kept almost unchanged. Thus this electrode could find application in the determination of RIS in some real samples. The analytical performance of the OPPF6‐MWCNTs/GCE was demonstrated for the determination of RIS in human serum and pharmaceutical samples.  相似文献

A Cu(II)‐Poly(terthiophene carboxylic acid) (pTTC)/Nafion modified glassy carbon electrode has been used for the chiral recognition and discrimination of d‐ and l‐prolines by the catalytic oxygen reduction process and the shape of crystals formed on the electrode surface. The cyclic voltammetry with the modified electrode in the presence of oxygen recognized d‐ and l‐form of prolines by exhibiting a difference in the peak potential and the peak current of the oxygen reduction. The effect of pH and proline concentration on the peak current and the peak potential of oxygen have been studied. The SEM studies on the nature of crystals formed on a proline‐Cu(II)pTTC complex. The oxidation state of the copper species present at the electrode surface was characterized by ESCA.  相似文献

Resveratrol (3,5,4′‐trihydroxystilbene) is an organic metabolite produced by plants in response to fungal infection. It is found in various plant fruits and is abundant in the skins of unripe grapes and related products. This photosensitive molecule exists in two isomeric forms, trans and cis‐resveratrol. The antioxidant activity of resveratrol, both trans and cis forms, was evaluated by means of cyclic, differential pulse and square‐wave voltammetry over a wide pH range, using a glassy carbon electrode. Voltammograms of resveratrol presented two oxidation peaks; the first oxidation peak corresponds to the oxidation of the phenol group and was shown to undergo an irreversible oxidation reaction. The second oxidation peak corresponds to the oxidation of the resorcinol moiety and is also irreversible. The influence of pH on the electrochemical oxidation process of resveratrol was investigated.  相似文献

1,2-Di(p-tolylimino)ethane (Ⅰ) and 1,2-Di(2,4-dimethylphenylimino)ethane (Ⅱ) were synthesized and their electrochemical behavior investigated in dimethylformamide using classical voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, controlled potential electrolysis and coulometry. Both bis-Schiff base ligands examined show a cathodic irreversible peak which corresponds to one-electron reduction of the substrate to form anion radical. According to the fact obtained from cyclic voltammetry, that the current function (ip/v^1/2) is a decreasing function of the scan rate, it can be concluded that there is a following coupling chemical reaction (EC mechanism). Thus, the most probable mechanism of electroreduction of both ligands is the coupling of two radicals to form a dimer.  相似文献

Electrochemical oxidation of catechol has been studied in the presence of secondary amines as nucleophiles in aqueous solution with various pH values using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. Cyclic voltammetry of catechol in pure buffered solution (2.00 pH<9.00) shows one anodic and corresponding cathodic peak which relates to the transformation of catechol to corresponding o‐benzoquinone and vice versa within a quasi‐reversible two electron transfer process. Also, a little amount of o‐benzoquinone undergoes polymerization reaction. Cyclic voltammogram of catechol in the presence of nucleophilic amines, show one anodic peak in the first scan of potential but on the reverse scan the corresponding cathodic peak disappear and new peak is observed at less positive potential. In the second scan of potential also a new anodic peak is observed. On the other hand at high concentration of amines the redox peak attributable to formed polymer disappear showing that in this condition the polymerization reaction occurs at non‐measurable extent. On the basis of these observations we propose an ECE mechanism for the electrochemical oxidation of catechol in the presence of secondary amines.  相似文献

In this paper a molecular wire modified carbon paste electrode (MW‐CPE) was firstly prepared by mixing graphite powder with diphenylacetylene (DPA). Then a graphene (GR) and chitosan (CTS) composite film was further modified on the surface of MW‐CPE to receive the graphene functionalized electrode (CTS‐GR/MW‐CPE), which was used for the sensitive electrochemical detection of adenosine‐5′‐triphosphate (ATP). The CTS‐GR/MW‐CPE exhibited excellent electrochemical performance and the electrochemical behavior of ATP on the CTS‐GR/MW‐CPE was carefully studied by cyclic voltammetry with an irreversible oxidation peak appearing at 1.369 V (vs. SCE). The electrochemical parameters such as charge transfer coefficient (α) and electrode reaction standard rate constant (ks) were calculated with the results of 0.53 and 5.28×10?6 s?1, respectively. By using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) as detection technique, the oxidation peak current showed good linear relationship with ATP concentration in the range from 1.0 nM to 700.0 µM with a detection limit of 0.342 nM (3σ). The common coexisting substances, such as uric acid, ascorbic acid and guanosine‐5′‐triphosphate (GTP), showed no interferences and the modified electrode was successfully applied to injection sample detection.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of berberine, an isoquinoline plant alkaloid with a wide spectrum of physiological effects, was studied at a glassy carbon electrode using cyclic, differential pulse and square‐wave voltammetry. The oxidation of berberine is a quasireversible, diffusion‐controlled process and occurred in a cascade mechanism with the formation of several oxidation products. The diffusion coefficient of berberine was calculated from cyclic voltammetry studies to be D=1.69×10?6 cm2 s?1. The oxidation process of berberine is also pH dependent and the number of electrons and protons transferred was determined using differential pulse voltammetry. The formation of several oxidation products that adsorbed at the glassy carbon electrode surface was observed and their electrochemical behavior characterized. A mechanism for the oxidation of berberine at a glassy carbon electrode was proposed.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of Na‐salt of 2‐methyl‐3‐(4‐nitrophenyl)acrylate (NPA) and its reduction product was studied by cyclic (CV), differential pulse(DPV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV) using a glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The results revealed that NPA is irreversibly reduced leading to the formation of a reduction product (PNPA). For pH<9.0 the peak potential was linearly dependent on pH. For pH>9.0 the peak potential was pH‐independent and the value of pKb≈9.0 was determined. The adsorbed PNPA exhibited reversible redox reaction. The reduction of PNPA was pH dependent. To ensure that the electrochemical behavior of NPA is due to the reducible moiety, NO2, closely related compounds to NPA were also studied, and a redox mechanism was proposed for NPA.  相似文献

Voltammetric behavior of sodium 7‐methoxyl‐4′‐hydroxylisoflavone‐3′‐sulfonate (SMHS) in the aqueous solution from pH 1 to 5 was studied by linear sweep voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry and normal pulse voltammetry. Experimental results showed that in 0.2 mol*L?1 sodium citrate‐hydrochloric acid buffer solution (pH=4.65), SMHS caused only one reduction wave at ?1.34 V (vs. saturated calomel electrode, SCE), which was an h‐reversible adsorptive wave of SMHS protonized involving one electron and one proton. The peak current of SMHS on linear sweep voltammogram was proportional to its concentration in the range of 8.0 × 10 ?8.0·10 mol*L?1 (r = 0.995). and the detection limit was 5.0·10?6mol*L?1. The method was applied to determination of SMHS, in synthetic samples. In addition, its scavenging effect on superoxide anion radical was studied by the auto‐oxidation of pyrogallol in HCI‐tris buffer solution (pH = 8.2) in order to explain its peculiar biological effects. The experimental results proved that SMHS has antioxidant quality, and it is an efficient free radical scavenger of superoxide anion radical.  相似文献

In this paper electropolymerization of a thin film of para‐phenylenediamine (PPD) is studied at glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in sulfuric acid media by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that this polymer was conducting and had a reproducible redox couple in the potential region from 0.0 to 0.4 V in phosphate buffer solution. This modified GCE (p‐PPD‐GCE) was applied for simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA) using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The p‐PPD‐GCE in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution (pH 5.0) separated the DPV signals of AA, DA and UA with sufficient potential differences between AA–DA and DA–UA and also enhanced their oxidation peak currents. The oxidation currents were increased from 2.0 to 2000.0 µM for AA, 10.0 to 1250.0 µM for DA and 50.0 to 1600.0 µM for UA. The detection limits were evaluated as 0.4, 1.0 and 2.5 µM for AA, DA and UA, respectively (S/N=3).  相似文献
